This restaurant is located at one end of Zeewolde. The location by the water is nice, and it is a cozy place both inside and out. The service was okay: the staff just went about their business, but with the enthusiasm of a fairground operator sitting at the cash register. The menu is simply dismal; I can't put it any other way. The portions are relatively small compared to the price. If I order fish, I expect at least the whole fish and not half a piece. Consequently, we skipped dessert.

Nice place, great location, good food

Fika in Zeewolde is a lovely spot with a cozy, relaxed vibe. We had a delicious lunch here, and the Pinsa Caesar was highly recommended. This is also a top spot for families. The children had a great time, and there are even toys available, allowing you as a parent to enjoy your lunch in peace. A cozy location, tasty food, and child-friendly. We would definitely love to come back again when we are in the area! 😊☕🍕👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Very cozy and beautiful location. Service friendly but a bit rushed, somewhat overzealous in clearing glasses and bottles. Someone kept coming by non-stop to check if they could clear anything else, which is fine in principle, but not when you are constantly being interrupted to tell you what to do and what not to do.

We enjoyed the facilities Fika offers this summer! The sunbeds are wonderfully comfortable. The staff is friendly and happy to help. It's nice that you can have drinks on the beach terrace while the children play in the sand and the water. The sticky chicken is definitely recommended, along with a cold white wine!

LOVE Fika! I love coming here for drinks and dinner with girlfriends. But I almost like coming here even more to work or even host my own events. Truly top-notch service, delicious food with always a little something extra that makes it look fantastic. And they have the tastiest drinks and coffees. I also sit here very regularly with other freelancers to work and enjoy the great atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone who loves good food and is perhaps also looking for a nice workspace.

Friendly and good. Making appointments is simple, and when I had to cancel an appointment due to a funeral, it was no problem. Really top-notch.

My boyfriend and I just wanted to ask if we could pick up fries, because the takeaway counter was closed. That is why we walked inside in our beachwear. Before I could even ask a female employee my question, we were approached in a particularly rude manner by a young employee. Instead of explaining normally that you are not allowed inside without a shirt or flip-flops, we were immediately sent away in a condescending tone, as if we were completely unwanted. "Because otherwise it would get really dirty inside." Next, we were told that we "should just ask a colleague outside." That was precisely the problem: there was no staff to be seen outside, which is why we came inside. Rules are fine, and I fully understand that. But the way this employee treats guests is downright disrespectful and arrogant. A little decency and customer friendliness seem to be hard to find here, unfortunately. Because of this treatment, we certainly won't be coming back here.

We tried the Big Boy Burger. It's not your typical burger patty. To describe it, I'd use the words "chorizo ​​burger." I really loved its unique flavor. The downside is that it's a small portion, and very expensive. I have a big appetite, and a burger at the price of a steak... well, that's not great. The service was attentive and they took great care of us. I recommend it.

A very good burger with good meat and an even better bun. The limoncello spritz could have been better; honestly, I was disappointed; it was too bitter and not lemony enough. The red-haired waiter is helpful and kind.

Had a delicious Caesar salad. Cozy location and friendly staff.

Nice beach bar along the lake edge Friendly staff and good food

For my son's birthday party, we spent the day at the beach. It was a super fun party, until we arrived at Fika. Even though it looked so nice to us. We had made a reservation; we had to sit inside, because you weren't allowed to reserve a table on the terrace—you could only sit if there was space. We arrived and there was space. I told the boys they could go ahead and sit down, that I was just going inside to let them know we were there. A female member of staff walked over to the boys and angrily said that they weren't allowed to hang around there, certainly not without shirts and shoes, and that they had to get out of there. When I mentioned it, after the boys came to tell me, she denied it, even though all the children said they were shocked by it. We managed to get an apology with difficulty, because I suggested it. We chose a spot and sat down. Some of the boys went to get shirts; we understood that you weren't allowed to sit there without a shirt, but I hadn't understood the shoe thing at that time. Everyone was there, and we ordered a kids' menu. Another female member of staff came over angrily to say that she had already said shoes had to be put on and that if that didn't happen, it was over. The children went to get their shoes, and by then the atmosphere was ruined. We remained friendly in the hope that the staff's attitude would improve. On the contrary: the drinks were placed right in front of me and I had to go give them to the children; the cutlery was laid out in the middle of the table, which I had to distribute... three times I politely asked if a cloth could be put over the dirty table. When making the reservation, I had indicated that it was my son's birthday and asked if an ice cream with a sparkler or something similar could be provided. When we had just arrived, I mentioned it again just to be sure, and then the food was brought without the sparkler. Some of the children were still getting their shoes because of all the hassle, which meant the group was no longer eating together pleasantly and part of the food got cold. I went to another member of staff about the sparkler. It eventually arrived and was placed on the table in a glass with ice cubes. When I went to pay, I was asked if we had enjoyed it. I indicated that I was very upset about how the staff had behaved during this children's party and that it had ruined the atmosphere. No apology, nothing. This is very disappointing. No more Fika for us.

We were at Financial on a beautiful day; what a lovely place so close to an ideal toddler play area by the lake. I could keep an eye on my children from the terrace while they played with the restaurant's beach toys. Truly five stars, well deserved.

We placed a simple order for three drinks and six bitterballen. We received the drinks three times in total, but only one order of four bitterballen without sauce. The billing process was also very difficult because they tried to charge us for ten bitterballen, as four wasn't listed on their menu. They didn't correct the order, and we only received four. Communication with the service team was extremely difficult. Four or five different employees came to our table, which didn't help matters. It was incredibly frustrating because they couldn't even manage such a simple order. We won't be returning!

Terrible food. We paid over €20 for a hamburger, which most likely contained the cheapest supermarket ground beef. We ordered a "homemade" iced tea, and it was simply Fuze tea with ice. The table wasn't even cleaned before we sat down. I would never visit this place again. The service staff were very friendly to us.

Had a glass of wine with my girlfriend on the terrace, but for 5 euros for a glass of wine, we didn't even get a quarter of a glass... Ridiculous place, and the tone they use when you say something about it is rock bottom. Last time I will drink or eat here

We needed to grab a quick bite to eat and ended up at FIKA. We asked if we could order urgently, and they could! The staff is super nice and helped us get our food on time. Very nice! The food itself was also really delicious. Definitely a place to come back to enjoy it to the fullest :)

We walked in with 25 people, it was no problem and everything came very quickly! Very sweet and pretty girls who helped us! They also have delicious coffee. I just asked the girls their names, Tatum and Esmee. 2 sweethearts and made for the hospitality industry!

We came for lunch. Vegetarian options are limited and not specifically listed on the menu. That's really outdated these days. There was also no drinks menu. We chose a dish that apparently wasn't included in the lunch menu, but was priced like one. The staff didn't explain this, nor did they explain that the dish was very small. So, a disappointment. As always, every time we try it again. The location is nice, the food isn't great, and the service is by teenagers who give the impression it's their first day on the job.

A charming restaurant, plates always beautifully presented, fun concepts like a boozy brunch with live music, but unfortunately, there are fewer and fewer vegetarian/vegan dishes on the menu. The vegan option that was available was absolutely delicious! (Cauliflower steak). We had one disappointing experience. We called ahead to see if vegan was possible, but they still served cheese. The staff was clearly disappointed when a few guests sent their dishes back. A sigh when you ask what dip comes with the sandwiches... Regarding eating with kids: toys were incomplete, and almost all pencils had no point. I suggested sharpening their points, but I had to find a sharpener myself (and in the end, it wasn't there, but I didn't dare bring it up again). Maybe the two people serving us were having a bad day... I don't know... but it did put a damper on the birthday. A shame! It has so much potential! The owner is always friendly, but all in all, my rating dropped from 4 to 3 stars. After a while, we returned, and this time the toys were put away and the service was excellent again. Back to 4 stars!

Zeewolde is beautiful but not very exciting or vibrant. FIKA is an oasis the moment you walk in. A beautiful interior, a warm welcome from the staff, and a view of the beach and water. Very comfortable furniture, a roaring fire, and atmospheric music at just the right volume. Beautiful plants and lovely design items everywhere create a pleasant atmosphere. A lovely, diverse menu. We started with tea and cake. All my unusual requests were catered for, so no problem. The lunch was also excellent. Gluten-free is no problem. Deliciously freshly prepared and exceptionally tasty. We finished with a delicious coffee. The total price was very reasonable and more than worth it! I will definitely come back and recommend it to everyone.

Service was friendly, and we enjoyed the steak and salmon fillet, both were very tasty and well presented. However, the portion sizes were surprisingly small for the priceb you pay. We had to order side dishes just to feel satisfied, which added to the cost. For a meal at this price point, you'd expect at least some fries, vegetables, or a small salad included. Beautiful plating, but a bit more substance would go a long way.

Spontaneously felt like having lunch together at fika. The prices here are also quite reasonable. My friend ordered an "uitsmijter" (fried sandwich) and asked for dark bread. Isn't there only soft white bread with a crispy crust? A disappointment, very strange, and a big tip off. The bread was soft and the crust was limp. Another tip off. Too bad. I had broccoli soup. It was very expensive, €9.50! But I thought I'd go for it. To be honest, I found the soup really delicious and surprising! Only the broccoli was nowhere to be found. The chef personally came to our table after I remarked to the waiter, which I thought was very correct. He explained that there was definitely broccoli in it. ...okay then, I didn't taste it or see it, and the soup was creamy, not green...but delicious nonetheless! Cozy place, nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, there's no choice of bread. I think that's a mistake!

We stumbled upon this place by chance, but highly recommend it. It's located right on the beach. The staff is super sweet and friendly. The food is delicious, and the cocktails are highly recommended.

I got some excellent drinks here, especially the coffee, which was delicious. One major drawback was the apple pie; it had so much cinnamon that I got a stomach ache on the way home. I didn't have that problem again because I only got drinks afterward. In short, my underwear couldn't be salvaged, so it went in the bin. Overall, a pretty good experience.

Very good service and right on the beach. Unfortunately, no English or German menu, only Dutch. The service speaks good English, though. Drinks like Coke and Fanta at €4 for 0.2 are a bit steep, but it seems to be the same everywhere in restaurants here.

I wanted to rent a sub. When we arrived, there was no one there, so we walked in. There happened to be a girl who wanted to help us, so we went back outside. A boy came along who was actually supposed to be there. It was very chaotic and it seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. Well, we finally rented the sub and went SUPing, and we fell over. The paddle sank like a stone to the bottom. We politely went back to explain what happened and that the paddle had sunk, but according to her (the owner), the paddle couldn't sink, so we went to take another good look, but of course, there was no paddle to be seen. It had been lying somewhere on the bottom for a long time. So we walked back to say that it really wasn't there, to which the owner said that we were being quite careless. Another employee came and pointed out someone with a sub and a paddle and said that she recognized the Fika logo. We went there and it turned out to be their own sub and paddle, not Fika's. Then came The owner came back and said we had to pay 50 euros, and then it suddenly became 22, which I thought was quite odd because it's quite a price difference. I hear from many friends who have worked there that if they accidentally make a small mistake, the owner gets very angry with them. *Inexperienced employees *Unpleasant atmosphere *Employees who don't really know what they're doing either *People smoking on the patio *I wouldn't recommend working there.

What a lovely place to eat and/or have a drink! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is lovely (both indoors and outdoors), and it's perfect for a date or family outing! We were there with a large group, including many children, and the service was very friendly. The surprise menu was delicious, but we also enjoyed the menu! We'll definitely be back!

Great place. Good food and drinks for meat eaters. Vegetarians don't get as much, hence the 4 stars. For lunch, there's only one vegetarian sandwich with a thin filling. Most chefs don't seem interested in coming up with something good vegetarian. That's a shame, because it's not that hard. For €14, you can serve a delicious lunch with grilled vegetables, veggie chicken pieces, etc. A homemade veggie burger should be an honor for a chef to prepare well. So, Fika...get to work and put a few vegetarian dishes on the menu at a reasonable price, because without meat, it can't be expensive.

For a main course without fries/potatoes you have to pay an additional €6 for fries :-(

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident (we thought it was the restaurant where we'd made a reservation, but we were in vain), but what a wonderful mistake it was. My wife and daughter had a truly delicious meal. We had the pulled ribs and the little one a portion of mini pancakes. My daughter kept trying to interact with the staff, and they responded in a friendly manner; her day was made. Even though we "accidentally" came here, we'll definitely be back! The service was fast and the staff were friendly.

A lovely terrace overlooking the water puts you in the holiday spirit! We received a warm welcome and were served in a very friendly manner. My table partner enjoyed the Pensa pulled rib, which is definitely recommended for true carnivores (because you get a generous portion of meat on a light pensa). My croquettes on brioche bread were served sparsely with a few green leaves and not my favorite filling. But that's a matter of taste! One star off for the atmosphere, but that's also a matter of preference; mine goes to non-smoking and loudly talking phone guests 😀

Meestal overleg ik met een kok, als ik ergens ga eten, maar bij Fika werd me gevraagd m'n lijst in te leveren wat ik mag eten. Ze zijn zelf aan de slag gegaan. En...het was verrukkelijk! Great restaurant in a nice location

We had dinner with a group of 26 people at Fika. Our daughter has celiac disease. Both before and during our visit, they thought along with what was and was not possible! Very nice! In addition, the food was delicious! Surprising combinations and delicious taste! And everything was also well organized with such a large group! We are enthusiastic and heartily recommend Fika!

Ended up on the beach terrace having a drink. Otherwise unknown to Fika. The furniture is rotten and rickety and in serious need of replacing. It seems that people think 'the guests will come anyway', but without maintenance and ambition the business will sooner or later fail.
