The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The opening hours, which end at 9 pm, are far too short, as one would often like to have another drink or two. The staff is friendly and attentive. However, the kitchen starts clearing up around 8:45 pm, and at that point, one doesn't feel like ordering anything else.

As a surprise, the staff even came to sing for me on my birthday 🎂. Super fun and exactly that personal attention that made it extra special. We had an incredibly delicious meal at this restaurant, and the location was beautiful as well. We were served very well by Mariëlle, a super cheerful and attentive lady. She really enjoyed her work, and that made the evening extra pleasant! We all had a 3-course menu, for which the price-quality ratio was excellent. We enjoyed ourselves very much and would certainly come back again.

We wanted to have lunch but found the menu very limited. We settled for coffee. That was fine. Almost the entire place was empty, with only a single reservation sign. A staff member asked a colleague where she could seat people without a reservation. The response was: a couple? Just put them there. That didn't sound entirely appropriate to me. You can have the lady and gentleman take a seat at the table..... Seems more appropriate to me. But hey, maybe I'm old-fashioned.

Let's start with the positives: good service, very friendly, and they do their best for you. But unfortunately, the food is truly substandard. Dishes are not complete (as stated on the menu), the calamari were way too overcooked, and the fries were pathetic. Mealy tomatoes. It was all just disappointing. And on top of that, it is quite pricey. A shame.

The food was unfortunately tasteless and unsalted, and the price was terrible for what you got. The staff was friendly, but you're paying more for the pretty interior and location than for the quality of the food. Very disappointing. An hour after we left, our table outside still hadn't been cleared.

What a disappointing experience. We ordered two bavettes for ourselves and one steak with peppercorn sauce for my son. Remarkably, when ordering, we were not asked how we wanted the meat cooked, which you would expect with bavette and steak. When the food arrived, quite a few things already seemed off. One of the bavettes looked more like a steak in terms of the meat, whereas my son's meat looked more like bavette. The sauce was served separately with his steak. Because he had ordered peppercorn sauce—something he actually always chooses and normally finds very tasty—he naturally just put it over his meat. However, upon tasting, it turned out to be a completely different sauce. As a result, his steak was practically inedible for him. When we pointed this out, a new jar with the correct peppercorn sauce was brought. However, that was of little use to him, because by then the wrong sauce was all over his piece of meat. We also found the sauce with one of the bavettes to taste strange and quite sour. When we mentioned this, we were told that the sauce was listed incorrectly on the menu and that they needed to correct it. That is possible, of course, but as guests, that is of little use to us. We order based on what is on the menu and are entitled to expect to receive exactly what we ordered. Incidentally, there were also quite a few stains on the menus. Perhaps a minor detail, but it doesn't exactly give a polished impression. Furthermore, my bavette was anything but tender. I even doubted whether it was bavette at all and pointed this out. They offered to prepare a new one. Fine, because things can always go wrong in a restaurant, of course. It is mainly about how you resolve the situation afterwards. And that is precisely where the biggest opportunity was missed for us. The rest of our party had finished eating by then, while my new bavette still hadn't arrived. After waiting for about 15 to 20 minutes, I had had enough and we left. The service was friendly; that wasn't the issue for us. But precisely from a manager, at a moment like this, you expect them to take charge of the situation. Ensure the replacement dish is prepared with priority, keep the guest informed, and perhaps offer a small gift on the house. That way, you can still turn a bad experience into something positive. Unfortunately, that opportunity was completely missed here. Several things about our order were incorrect, the food was not up to the standard we expected, and the handling only made the disappointment greater in the end. Unfortunately, no second time for us.

Not welcome due to lack of staff

After 7 years, we stayed in the neighborhood one more time. It was a visit with an emotional touch. But it was a wonderful time and a joyful reunion, with beautiful views, and on my parents' wedding anniversary to boot—it couldn't have been better! One little tip, had I already told you ;p : this share platter from back in the day really deserves to be back on the menu :p

Normally, when a customer orders a burger, we ask how they'd like it cooked. The result was overcooked. As for the shrimp croquettes, they looked like croquettes but had no flavor.

We were very pleasantly surprised by this restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, and it is only a few minutes’ walk from our Center Parcs accommodation. We took advantage of the special promotion where children eat for free with the set menu, and it was an absolute bargain for families. I probably would not eat here every day for a full week because the set menu only offers three choices, so you might end up ordering the same dishes more than once. However, there is also an à la carte menu if you are looking for more variety. I really do not understand many of the negative reviews. This restaurant is clearly a level above the usual Center Parcs restaurants. The service was excellent from start to finish, the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, and we loved watching the chefs at work in the open kitchen. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the food is much closer to a real bistro experience than a typical holiday park restaurant. With the “kids eat free” offer, I challenge anyone to find a restaurant nearby offering this level of quality at the same price. Without the promotion, the value for money could certainly be discussed. But with this offer, it is hard to beat. Compared with the usual burgers, fries and pizzas you often find in holiday parks, there is simply no comparison. The restaurant was also very accommodating for families with children. Every main course we ordered was tasty, well cooked and nicely presented. We were slightly less impressed by the desserts, but they were still enjoyable and did not take away from the overall experience. A big thank you to the entire team, both the front-of-house staff and the kitchen, for exceeding our expectations. You made our evenings so much easier by giving us a wonderful place to enjoy dinner without having to cook after a busy day. I was honestly a little worried after reading some of the negative reviews, but I am very glad we decided to try it anyway. If you are staying at Center Parcs, do not let those reviews discourage you. Go with confidence and make up your own mind. We had a wonderful experience and would happily return. This brasserie needs to work much more on child-friendliness and hospitality; yet, this brasserie has a lot to offer.

Ok, I know things are much more expensive than a few years ago, but with the food this restaurant takes the biscuit! Drink prices are fine. The food is largely quite good, but the portion sizes (except maybe the pasta) are embarrassing. To feed a family of 4, be prepared to spend €150-200, and not be completely satisfied. (We’re not American, we’re from the Netherlands with a below average BMI.)

We was at center Parcs. Everywhere else we drink or eat was too overpriced and was not even good. The only place in the whole Center Parcs that you will find reasonable prices and really delicious food!! The servers are also friendly,we didn’t had reservation for 2 person but they find for us a table. It’s better to make a reservation in advance that you sure have a place! We will be back when we will visit again Center Parcs Eemhof ! Thank you :)

The website states "Located in the charming marina De Eemhof, which reflects a French port town"..... Then I wonder which French port town they visited, because I certainly didn't recognize a French port town. Otherwise, it is simply a good restaurant with friendly staff.

The food was absolutely delicious! We were on holiday at Center Parcs Eemhof. Definitely recommended if you are in the area! The staff is also very friendly.

Visually, it's a very nice restaurant, but unfortunately, the staff is poorly organized. We waited 30 minutes just for drinks. When we asked if we could at least have a bottle of water (we had small children with us, and it was 30 degrees Celsius), we were snapped at because they were short-staffed. Then we were told we could go somewhere else, which we did. Instead of simply giving us the bottle of water, the manager was quite rude. That's unacceptable.

After sitting at the table for 30 mins and not getting anything to drink I asked if I can have some drinks as it’s 30degreees c and my kids were very thirsty. The waitress and self proclaimed owner yelled at me that we can go somewhere else if we don’t like it. The place wasn’t even 50% full and they were unable to handle anything. Complete chaos. As she told us to leave if we don’t like it we did exactly this. Avoid this place

No air conditioning, it was scorching hot. The wooden chairs were also very uncomfortable. The food itself was fine (although the hamburger was overcooked). The service was good.

The menu looks better than the food can deliver. Completely dry chicken in a watery broth with old, soggy fries is not worth the high price.

The food wasn't bad except for a few things: the squid rings came without lemon; the salad consisted of large stalks from the head of lettuce; the tournado was good; the schnitzel was good; the fries were lots of small pieces. I didn't have dessert; they have whipped cream from a spray can, and I don't think that's appropriate in an eatery like this. Maybe at a casual eatery, even there they have real whipped cream these days!

The seating is lovely, near the harbor, and some tables even offer a view of the river. The service was friendly but not intrusive. The food was tasty but not exceptional. For that reason, the prices are a bit too high. The bread served as part of the appetizer was very delicious. The burger and kibbeling (battered and fried fish) were good. The schnitzel was a bit different from what you might expect. It was a fairly thick piece of meat, and the breading wasn't very crispy.

Beautiful location, but the service was not entirely up to par. The vitello tonnato was simply carpaccio, and the dishes from the set menu were significantly smaller than those on the à la carte menu.

Highly recommended, and the smaller, bespectacled lady who greeted us so kindly, took our order, made sure we had everything we needed, and even held the door open for us when we left—you're the best. We had a four-course meal on January 17, 2026.

The ambiance was lovely, the service very friendly, but the menu was small. The Jägerschnitzel was very dry, with little mushrooms or sauce. The fries were too hard and brown, making them impossible to skewer as they were rock hard. A real shame, given the beautiful setting; we had hoped for more.

The pumpkin was very hard and not grilled. There was something sweet and unidentifiable in the shell, along with three lettuce leaves and four nuts. For almost €17. My husband had a burger that could have been a child's burger, served with fries that looked like they'd been through the fryer twice. For almost €25. Yesterday (March 23, 2026), we dined at Restaurant Zuiderzoet with 4 adults and 4 children. Upon arrival, we were assisted in a friendly manner, and the restaurant was quite quiet. However, it took a remarkably long time before we received our drinks. The food order was already being taken even before the first drinks were on the table. As starters, we had ordered 3x carpaccio and 1x vitello tonnato. As agreed, the children's food was served at the same time. When the starters arrived, it was immediately noticeable that the carpaccio did not have the beautiful, fresh red color one would expect. The temperature of the dish was also on the high side. With the very first bite, we tasted a sour flavor. We saw the same reaction with the other two who had carpaccio. After a few bites, we left them untouched. The vitello tonnato was also not up to par: it caused a tingling sensation on the lips and palate, which meant this dish was not eaten any further. After this experience, we decided not to order any more main courses and indicated that they did not need to be prepared. When even a fairly simple dish turns out to be so disappointing — and we have serious doubts about whether the ingredients were still fresh — you simply don't dare to order a tournedos costing €40 p.p. The staff, however, handled this nicely by removing the starters from the bill. The children did finish their food. We then paid and left. It is especially unfortunate that a friend of ours actually had a good experience here years ago — he was visibly shocked by the quality now. All in all, a disappointing experience.

The main courses were absolutely delicious! Very friendly and attentive service. Great location right on the marina. The interior atmosphere was a bit sterile and cold. Overall, however, we were pleasantly surprised and very satisfied.

Food quality was inconsistent. Just adequate. Vitello tonnato was very salty. The Dame Blanche chocolate sauce contained a layer of oil and hardly deserves to be called a sauce. Serving took an exceptionally long time. Even after asking the staff to check on it, due to children's activities. An unsuitable place if you want to eat something reasonably quickly. The staff were friendly, though; that wasn't the issue.

We arrived at the restaurant full of anticipation. There were eight adults and one baby. The welcome was friendly, the table we were at was beautiful, as was the rest of the restaurant. We had made a reservation in advance and had a package deal through Center Parcs. However, when ordering, we discovered that the vegetarian dish (cauliflower steak) was no longer available and that there wasn't a single vegetarian alternative. This was a major setback for us with two vegetarians in our group. Furthermore, everything was extremely slow. We arrived at 6:30, and dessert didn't arrive until 9:15. For a three-course meal, this is truly unacceptable. Having to wait 45 minutes between each course is unacceptable, even though the non-vegetarians said the food was quite tasty (though hardly any vegetables). Furthermore, the fries were forgotten with one dish. It's a shame; this restaurant could be so much better.

I had a wonderful birthday evening yesterday. Despite our (too) late arrival, we were made very welcome and seated at a cozy table. We enjoyed a delicious starter, main course, and dessert, along with a few delicious drinks. And the exceptionally friendly service, who were even able to offer my daughter an alternative starter and a blanket when she felt a bit chilly, was fantastic. The vitello tonato was okay. The steak was dry and overcooked. I paid €25 for 160g of dry steak. The crème brûlée was incredibly small. I don't recommend ordering a set menu. The service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant.

I find it difficult... When we arrived around 8:00 PM, we had to ask if the kitchen was still open, but we were allowed to take a seat. It was very quiet at that time, and the service was therefore very accurate and fast. An extremely friendly young woman helped us, and she did a fantastic job. The service of the drinks and the sandwich was quick and courteous. When the main courses were served, we studied them and had the feeling that the menu was quite different from what we had in front of us. When we pointed this out, it was eventually replenished in two steps. The portioning of two identical dishes was very uneven. I actually wanted to give it 3.5 stars 🌟, but because I think three is too low, I gave it 4. But that's no reason for us to return.

This evening was our second time at this wonderful restaurant. This time we had the steak and the entrecote. It was excellent again. Personally, I want to give the waiter a big thumbs up. Food is an experience, and the experience is atmosphere and flavor combined. This waiter was very polite and a great listener, and we felt at ease. I was also jealous of his beautiful hair; I'm bald, hahaha. This restaurant is truly recommended.

We had dinner here with our company. The food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly. We even had a fantastic game of bingo! In all the fun, I even forgot my phone… 🙈 The team charged it and even managed to reach us through my emergency contacts, so I could pick it up that same evening! Truly fantastic service!

Just today, my parents and I had something to celebrate, and the three of us dined together. We arrived at 3:30 PM and were given our first drink and the menu. Then we waited 50 minutes without seeing anyone. Empty glasses and a menu. It was outrageous. I came to make a big splash, but it left a nasty taste in my mouth and I left. Now, we've eaten a bag of fries on our party night. Disgusting. Thank you, Zuiderzoet!

It's a lovely restaurant, and we received a friendly welcome, but the experience really left a lot to be desired. There's no real lunch menu with sandwiches, etc., so we ordered the special (club sandwiches) and some dishes to share. The special suddenly turned out to be sold out after it was explained to us, but after discussing it, they were able to make it anyway. Great. We requested one sandwich without tomato and cucumber. This wasn't a problem, but unfortunately, we then heard the chef's negative reaction. That's really not acceptable. We understand that not all ingredients can always be omitted, but this was a simple request. You wonder how the chef handles an allergy, if that's already too much to ask. Then the sandwich arrived incorrectly: no tomato, but cucumber. And the cheese was also omitted? We left it as is because we didn't want to hear the chef's reaction again if we sent it back. Furthermore, half of the dishes were missing. After a while, the waiter came to say he'd just checked that the dishes were being prepared. So, they didn't start until the first dishes were already on the table. We hoped they'd be ready soon, because how long does kibbeling take? But only when the first dishes were completely finished did the rest arrive. Brought by someone else, the first waiter was nowhere to be seen. A few minutes late can happen, but this was much later. And combined with what we heard the chef say earlier, this didn't feel hospitable. The food was mediocre, the cutlery unpolished but stained. No plates were brought for the shared dishes. We were never asked if everything was to our liking, not even when we paid. A coffee or at least an apology would have been nice. I hope you see this as feedback you can use, because it's a great place, and both the restaurant and the waiter/host definitely have potential.

We went here a few weeks ago and had a delicious meal. The service was also very friendly. We don't quite understand the negative reviews. There was a group in one part of the restaurant, which was fine. We were seated on the other side and weren't bothered by this. We wanted a bit of time between our starter and main course, which was fine. Our daughter preferred a starter instead of something from the children's menu. That wasn't a problem either. For the price, the food is truly delicious. It's also great that you can choose your own side dish and which one you want. Definitely recommended if you're at Center Parcs, but even worth driving there separately! The only thing is that the decor could be a bit more atmospheric. The restaurant is quite high with many windows, which makes it feel a bit less inviting. When it's dark and you look outside, you're looking into a 'dark hole'.

I was here for a department outing with work, and after a few assignments in the park, we went here for dinner. It was a shared dining experience. We started with homemade onion soup, followed by appetizers with small dishes like mussels, hummus, brochetta, tuna carpaccio, and cold cuts, among other things. Then came a table with salmon, spareribs, steak, and a portobello mushroom with ricotta cheese. Everything was delicious and plentiful. Finally, a table with various pastries for dessert. We were allowed to order whatever drinks we wanted, and everything was perfectly arranged. Very friendly service and a beautiful location on the water.

Dear Sir/Madam, I came to dinner at your restaurant on September 4, 2025. I saw on your online menu that you served mussels, and I fancied them so I ordered them. Preparing mussels is one of the easiest things there is. You just add salt and pepper, and nothing can go wrong. The mussels you ate were tasteless, so they certainly weren't seasoned. If you, as a restaurant, are still messing up the easiest recipe, what are you doing? When we order mussels in Belgium, we get 1 kg of them, but here I got half a bowl. When I got back to my cottage, I looked at the reviews of your restaurant, and they didn't look very good. As the owner, you should definitely ensure your chef doesn't make the mistake of serving unseasoned mussels. There was still a label in the bowl, dated September 3, 2025. I don't know what that date meant. Was it the end-of-use date or the delivery date?

Due to a mistake by the waiter who is human he said this was mushroom sauce this pepper was the other way around I don't like pepper sauce and my wife doesn't like mushroom sauce pour it in and then smelled that not the right sauce unfortunately can happen the chef went to fix it 4 minutes plate back meat tough and repacked suspect that the meat was rinsed and then put back in the pan when the meat came the first time it still looked a bit red and tender what I got back was tough and overdone when I paid I said that it was definitely not to my liking rinsed meat recooked only got a sorry I had done something with the price but that's I won't be going back here again.

Over a week ago, we reserved a table for four people to treat family members to a lovely dinner. Upon arrival, we were told we could only choose from a few dishes on the "lunch menu." The reason: staff shortages. What a disgrace that Zuiderzoet didn't have the courage to inform people who had made reservations and had driven almost two hours to get there. And that the otherwise friendly and well-meaning staff should be allowed to convey that message. This restaurant really should take that to heart! The food was okay, but the price-quality ratio is skewed.

We've often dined at Zuiderzoet and Paul's team in the past. Everything was always top-notch. The atmosphere, outdoor terrace, kitchen, staff (expertise), and dishes were all distinctive compared to other offerings at Eemhof. Now, the restaurant is often closed, the terrace lacks atmosphere and is certainly not inviting, let alone that the dishes are no longer distinctive. It's the same as at the park. For such a prime location by the harbor, it's a disgrace. Fortunately, the Beachclub is increasingly filling the void.

What an incredibly awful restaurant! We went there to have a sandwich for lunch. Unfortunately, they didn't have any sandwiches on the menu, citing their luxury restaurant as the reason, so we ordered a portion of kibbeling (fried kibbeling) for each of us. A few minutes later, however, a whole plate of bread was served at another table. We received five of the six portions of kibbeling and were told the sixth would be brought out shortly. Five of us started eating (to avoid it getting cold). We had to do this with our hands, as we weren't provided with cutlery. There were also no napkins to clean our hands. When we finished our food and asked about the sixth portion, we were told they were gone. Salmon was offered as an alternative, but since five of us had already finished our food, we simply asked for the bill. In my opinion, they could have informed us earlier that the kibbeling was gone, and we could have chosen something else to eat together. We were given the bill without a word, and after paying, we left. No apology was given, and we weren't accommodated. An incredibly bad experience, and we won't be back!

The staff was friendly, the tables and chairs were a bit close together, but the food was very tasty!

The atmosphere is nice, but the restaurant itself is a bit less so. We waited an hour and a half for our food, and we had to get our own sandwiches (starter). No cutlery came with the food, and they even forgot a few fries! After our glasses were empty, we weren't even asked if we wanted another drink. It was resolved nicely afterward. Let's put it this way: a lot of room for improvement, but otherwise, it's okay!

Absolutely fantastic experience! We were staying at Center Parcs and looking for a good place to eat - this one exceeded all our expectations. We went with the chef’s 3-course menu featuring fish, steak, and crème brûlée, and every single dish was spot-on. The flavors, presentation, and service were all excellent. Highly recommended!

I give this a 7 out of 10. The food was tasty and the setting good. There are still some points for improvement... The staff was quite inexperienced, too bad. - We all ordered an aperitif: no snack, not even chips or nuts... - The bottle of wine was already brought to taste with the aperitif... - When clearing the starters they asked if we wanted the menu for a main course, but that had already been ordered... - The starter was cleared...of 3 people...the plate of the 4th person just remained there and was only cleared 10 minutes later (coincidentally)... - The food was tasty, but I expected more for the price. - 1 of the 4 starters was beef Tataki, where the toughest piece of meat possible was used. On a small plate (nice presentation) it was impossible to cut, even with a steak knife.... - The other 3 starters (Tuna tataki, cheese croquettes and calamari) were tasty, but the portions of the tatakis were on the very small side. - As a main course 2x poké bowl and 2x fried salmon. The poké bowls were very tasty. We asked for 1 salmon less fried and that was done well. The puree we asked for with it was also very tasty. Only downside: no sauce with it. - The crème brulée was well made. Tasty. - The Irish Coffee was not made as it should be (too much whipped cream and no sugar used in making it) - 7 out of 10, I can't give more here. Again, it was mostly good. Now work on those few lesser points and then it is definitely worth an 8 or 9.

Worthless. First the reservation was moved and when we just arrived we were almost looked away/completely ignored

Very disappointed. It looked so nice in the pictures and it also said that the little guests were also thought of, so I thought this would be a nice restaurant for me and my son (5). When we arrived, there was hardly anyone there. Everyone was sitting at the nearby beach bar. It looked cozy inside with nicely set tables, so we sat down anyway, because we had also made a reservation. The children's menu is very very limited. Only pasta or fried food. They wanted to make mini pancakes (that was nice), but then my son had already chosen kibbeling. However, the kibbeling was so bizarrely salty that he couldn't really eat it. We only got an "sorry" from the staff. No new kibbeling, no alternative, nothing! The soles were tasty. I've had better, but fine.

Ate here with 11 people, friendly service and all the food neatly on our table at the same time. Nice presentation of the plates and good quality food. Recommended!

Delicious food! Both the adult menus and the children's menus were very tasty. Beautifully presented. The children's menus were really children's menus in terms of size. Perfect! Gluten-free options were also available. Friendly staff. Highly recommended.

It is a fine place to go for a bite to eat but you can't call it dining. The decor is not up to par and the quality of the food is not either. The bidding is friendly.

We had dinner here one evening during our weekend at Centerparcs. It was very tasty for a reasonable price. The food was especially tasty and everyone enjoyed it. There were also enough options for everyone. Especially with the restaurants on the park, this restaurant is a breath of fresh air and a must for anyone staying at the park. A no-brainer if you ask me.

Cancelled on my reservation the first time but we did manage to go a few days later and thought it was great.

The reason I booked Centerparcs Eemhof is partly because I could eat well with you. It is an added value compared to other Centerparcs. Service was great and the food was also tasty

Service is friendly and helpful! Food is great for the price you pay for it. Presentation of everything is a big 10! Beautiful plates and garnish. Compared to the restaurants in the park itself, this gets 5 stars. Compared to all other restaurants I know in this price range 3.5 stars, so that's why a 4 :) We had a nice meal 2 nights in a row! I did miss a steak and fish knife. Filleting a sole and cutting steak would be a bit easier with that.

Waiters were very friendly and the food was really very tasty. Everything came quickly. Had a 4 course menu. Carpaccio, cauliflower soup (chef recommendation), steak and then a desert (cherry, don't remember what it's called)
