I find it difficult... When we arrived around 8:00 PM, we had to ask if the kitchen was still open, but we were allowed to sit down. It was very quiet at that time, and the service was therefore very accurate and fast. An extremely friendly young woman helped us, and she did a fantastic job. The service of the drinks and the sandwich was quick and courteous. When the main courses were served, we studied them and felt that the menu was quite different from what we had in front of us. When we pointed this out, it was eventually replenished in two steps. The portioning of two identical dishes was very uneven. I actually wanted to give it 3.5 stars 🌟, but because I think three is too low, I gave it 4. But that's no reason for us to return.

Everything was excellent: fresh, well-prepared ingredients, attentive, friendly staff, and a real dining experience. Highly recommended, and the smaller, bespectacled lady who greeted us so kindly, took our order, made sure we had everything we needed, and even held the door open for us when we left—you're the best. We had a four-course meal on January 17, 2026.

A wonderful experience at Restaurant Zuiderzoet! The staff is very attentive and makes you feel immediately welcome. The wine list is well-chosen and complements the dishes perfectly. This evening was our second time at this wonderful restaurant. This time we had the steak and the entrecote. It was excellent again. Personally, I want to give the waiter a big thumbs up. Food is an experience, and the experience is atmosphere and flavor combined. This waiter was very polite and a great listener, and we felt at ease. I was also jealous of his beautiful hair; I'm bald, hahaha. This restaurant is truly recommended.

Had a wonderful dinner with my husband at Zuiderzoet tonight. Highly recommended! The service was excellent, they gave us a lovely glass of wine, and the food was delicious. All in all, we had a wonderful evening. And since we're on vacation at De Eemhof, we've booked another one for the following evening and are already looking forward to it! Reservations are recommended.

We had dinner here with our company. The food was delicious, the service was fast and friendly. We even had a fantastic game of bingo! In all the fun, I even forgot my phone… 🙈 The team charged it and even managed to reach us through my emergency contacts, so I could pick it up that same evening! Truly fantastic service!

Just today, my parents and I had something to celebrate, and the three of us dined together. We arrived at 3:30 PM and were given our first drink and the menu. Then we waited 50 minutes without seeing anyone. Empty glasses and a menu. It was outrageous. I came to make a big splash, but it left a nasty taste in my mouth and I left. Now, we've eaten a bag of fries on our party night. Disgusting. Thank you, Zuiderzoet!

It's a lovely restaurant, and we received a friendly welcome, but the experience really left a lot to be desired. There's no real lunch menu with sandwiches, etc., so we ordered the special (club sandwiches) and some dishes to share. The special suddenly turned out to be sold out after it was explained to us, but after discussing it, they were able to make it anyway. Great. We requested one sandwich without tomato and cucumber. This wasn't a problem, but unfortunately, we then heard the chef's negative reaction. That's really not acceptable. We understand that not all ingredients can always be omitted, but this was a simple request. You wonder how the chef handles an allergy, if that's already too much to ask. Then the sandwich arrived incorrectly: no tomato, but cucumber. And the cheese was also omitted? We left it as is because we didn't want to hear the chef's reaction again if we sent it back. Furthermore, half of the dishes were missing. After a while, the waiter came to say he'd just checked that the dishes were being prepared. So, they didn't start until the first dishes were already on the table. We hoped they'd be ready soon, because how long does kibbeling take? But only when the first dishes were completely finished did the rest arrive. Brought by someone else, the first waiter was nowhere to be seen. A few minutes late can happen, but this was much later. And combined with what we heard the chef say earlier, this didn't feel hospitable. The food was mediocre, the cutlery unpolished but stained. No plates were brought for the shared dishes. We were never asked if everything was to our liking, not even when we paid. A coffee or at least an apology would have been nice. I hope you see this as feedback you can use, because it's a great place, and both the restaurant and the waiter/host definitely have potential.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed a lovely evening out. We had a delicious meal, and the service was really great and excellent, very polite and courteous. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and everything was deliciously prepared. Vegetables were al dente, and the sole was perfect. Highly recommended if you're at Center Parcs. A solid brasserie/restaurant. Very friendly service, quality food. The service was a bit chaotic the evening we were there (the starter wasn't cleared away when the main course was served), but that was more than compensated for by the waiter's professionalism.

We went here a few weeks ago and had a delicious meal. The service was also very friendly. We don't quite understand the negative reviews. There was a group in one part of the restaurant, which was fine. We were seated on the other side and weren't bothered by this. We wanted a bit of time between our starter and main course, which was fine. Our daughter preferred a starter instead of something from the children's menu. That wasn't a problem either. For the price, the food is truly delicious. It's also great that you can choose your own side dish and which one you want. Definitely recommended if you're at Center Parcs, but even worth driving there separately! The only thing is that the decor could be a bit more atmospheric. The restaurant is quite high with many windows, which makes it feel a bit less inviting. When it's dark and you look outside, you're looking into a 'dark hole'.

very good experience, the employees are very nice and open to requests we wanted a cocktail that was not on the menu but that was no problem for the bartender👍🏻 also had a good meal and enjoyed the drinks.

I was here for a department outing with work, and after a few assignments in the park, we went here for dinner. It was a shared dining experience. We started with homemade onion soup, followed by appetizers with small dishes like mussels, hummus, brochetta, tuna carpaccio, and cold cuts, among other things. Then came a table with salmon, spareribs, steak, and a portobello mushroom with ricotta cheese. Everything was delicious and plentiful. Finally, a table with various pastries for dessert. We were allowed to order whatever drinks we wanted, and everything was perfectly arranged. Very friendly service and a beautiful location on the water.

Great service and super friendly to children. They provided a coloring book and crayons to pass the time. The food was delicious 😋 Much better than the restaurants right next to the Aqua Mundo.

Dear Sir/Madam, I came to dinner at your restaurant on September 4, 2025. I saw on your online menu that you served mussels, and I fancied them so I ordered them. Preparing mussels is one of the easiest things there is. You just add salt and pepper, and nothing can go wrong. The mussels you ate were tasteless, so they certainly weren't seasoned. If you, as a restaurant, are still messing up the easiest recipe, what are you doing? When we order mussels in Belgium, we get 1 kg of them, but here I got half a bowl. When I got back to my cottage, I looked at the reviews of your restaurant, and they didn't look very good. As the owner, you should definitely ensure your chef doesn't make the mistake of serving unseasoned mussels. There was still a label in the bowl, dated September 3, 2025. I don't know what that date meant. Was it the end-of-use date or the delivery date?

Due to a mistake by the waiter who is human he said this was mushroom sauce this pepper was the other way around I don't like pepper sauce and my wife doesn't like mushroom sauce pour it in and then smelled that not the right sauce unfortunately can happen the chef went to fix it 4 minutes plate back meat tough and repacked suspect that the meat was rinsed and then put back in the pan when the meat came the first time it still looked a bit red and tender what I got back was tough and overdone when I paid I said that it was definitely not to my liking rinsed meat recooked only got a sorry I had done something with the price but that's I won't be going back here again.

Wow wow wow you come to a centre Parcs and you can have an amazing family meal. Steak was out of this world and the apple pie well I need to know the recipe

Over a week ago, we reserved a table for four people to treat family members to a lovely dinner. Upon arrival, we were told we could only choose from a few dishes on the "lunch menu." The reason: staff shortages. What a disgrace that Zuiderzoet didn't have the courage to inform people who had made reservations and had driven almost two hours to get there. And that the otherwise friendly and well-meaning staff should be allowed to convey that message. This restaurant really should take that to heart! The food was okay, but the price-quality ratio is skewed.

We've often dined at Zuiderzoet and Paul's team in the past. Everything was always top-notch. The atmosphere, outdoor terrace, kitchen, staff (expertise), and dishes were all distinctive compared to other offerings at Eemhof. Now, the restaurant is often closed, the terrace lacks atmosphere and is certainly not inviting, let alone that the dishes are no longer distinctive. It's the same as at the park. For such a prime location by the harbor, it's a disgrace. Fortunately, the Beachclub is increasingly filling the void.

What an incredibly awful restaurant! We went there to have a sandwich for lunch. Unfortunately, they didn't have any sandwiches on the menu, citing their luxury restaurant as the reason, so we ordered a portion of kibbeling (fried kibbeling) for each of us. A few minutes later, however, a whole plate of bread was served at another table. We received five of the six portions of kibbeling and were told the sixth would be brought out shortly. Five of us started eating (to avoid it getting cold). We had to do this with our hands, as we weren't provided with cutlery. There were also no napkins to clean our hands. When we finished our food and asked about the sixth portion, we were told they were gone. Salmon was offered as an alternative, but since five of us had already finished our food, we simply asked for the bill. In my opinion, they could have informed us earlier that the kibbeling was gone, and we could have chosen something else to eat together. We were given the bill without a word, and after paying, we left. No apology was given, and we weren't accommodated. An incredibly bad experience, and we won't be back!

The staff was friendly, the tables and chairs were a bit close together, but the food was very tasty!

The atmosphere is nice, but the restaurant itself is a bit less so. We waited an hour and a half for our food, and we had to get our own sandwiches (starter). No cutlery came with the food, and they even forgot a few fries! After our glasses were empty, we weren't even asked if we wanted another drink. It was resolved nicely afterward. Let's put it this way: a lot of room for improvement, but otherwise, it's okay!

Absolutely fantastic experience! We were staying at Center Parcs and looking for a good place to eat - this one exceeded all our expectations. We went with the chef’s 3-course menu featuring fish, steak, and crème brûlée, and every single dish was spot-on. The flavors, presentation, and service were all excellent. Highly recommended!

I give this a 7 out of 10. The food was tasty and the setting good. There are still some points for improvement... The staff was quite inexperienced, too bad. - We all ordered an aperitif: no snack, not even chips or nuts... - The bottle of wine was already brought to taste with the aperitif... - When clearing the starters they asked if we wanted the menu for a main course, but that had already been ordered... - The starter was cleared...of 3 people...the plate of the 4th person just remained there and was only cleared 10 minutes later (coincidentally)... - The food was tasty, but I expected more for the price. - 1 of the 4 starters was beef Tataki, where the toughest piece of meat possible was used. On a small plate (nice presentation) it was impossible to cut, even with a steak knife.... - The other 3 starters (Tuna tataki, cheese croquettes and calamari) were tasty, but the portions of the tatakis were on the very small side. - As a main course 2x poké bowl and 2x fried salmon. The poké bowls were very tasty. We asked for 1 salmon less fried and that was done well. The puree we asked for with it was also very tasty. Only downside: no sauce with it. - The crème brulée was well made. Tasty. - The Irish Coffee was not made as it should be (too much whipped cream and no sugar used in making it) - 7 out of 10, I can't give more here. Again, it was mostly good. Now work on those few lesser points and then it is definitely worth an 8 or 9.

Worthless. First the reservation was moved and when we just arrived we were almost looked away/completely ignored

Very disappointed. It looked so nice in the pictures and it also said that the little guests were also thought of, so I thought this would be a nice restaurant for me and my son (5). When we arrived, there was hardly anyone there. Everyone was sitting at the nearby beach bar. It looked cozy inside with nicely set tables, so we sat down anyway, because we had also made a reservation. The children's menu is very very limited. Only pasta or fried food. They wanted to make mini pancakes (that was nice), but then my son had already chosen kibbeling. However, the kibbeling was so bizarrely salty that he couldn't really eat it. We only got an "sorry" from the staff. No new kibbeling, no alternative, nothing! The soles were tasty. I've had better, but fine.

Ate here with 11 people, friendly service and all the food neatly on our table at the same time. Nice presentation of the plates and good quality food. Recommended!

It is a fine place to go for a bite to eat but you can't call it dining. The decor is not up to par and the quality of the food is not either. The bidding is friendly.

We had dinner here one evening during our weekend at Centerparcs. It was very tasty for a reasonable price. The food was especially tasty and everyone enjoyed it. There were also enough options for everyone. Especially with the restaurants on the park, this restaurant is a breath of fresh air and a must for anyone staying at the park. A no-brainer if you ask me.

Service is friendly and helpful! Food is great for the price you pay for it. Presentation of everything is a big 10! Beautiful plates and garnish. Compared to the restaurants in the park itself, this gets 5 stars. Compared to all other restaurants I know in this price range 3.5 stars, so that's why a 4 :) We had a nice meal 2 nights in a row! I did miss a steak and fish knife. Filleting a sole and cutting steak would be a bit easier with that.

Waiters were very friendly and the food was really very tasty. Everything came quickly. Had a 4 course menu. Carpaccio, cauliflower soup (chef recommendation), steak and then a desert (cherry, don't remember what it's called)

Made a reservation for a dinner for 9 people on April 30 from 7 p.m. On the evening itself it turned out that the kitchen closed at 8 pm!!?? Not a word was said about it when making the reservation, weeks before -🤨 - and when I called to ask if that was the case, they claimed that there was enough time to have a quiet dinner.:??-->..in 1 hour..9 people,..complete dining...sitting comfortably. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and we were looking forward to it!! This was completely ruined. No apologies or decent compensation either, just "Okay, then I'll take your reservation out"..really..🙄 In Harderwijk we had something to eat and sat on a terrace. Our friends have gone home. What a letdown this 'service' at Zuiderzoet, -->>>>I would expect a bit of thinking along with the booking here. All in all, very disappointing, and even worse... our moment is gone, over! Zuiderzoet has acquired a sour, bitter aftertaste for us. Bah!

The idea behind this restaurant is quite lost. The prices are pretentious, the service / decoration / service level but especially the quality of the food does not match this. In addition, the range of dishes is confusing, they try to offer ''a little bit of everything'', but this misses the mark in our opinion. We eat out very regularly, but this restaurant will stay with us for a long time. Unfortunately not for the right reason.

We have been coming to Zuiderzoet once a year since it opened. Even though the website and Google state otherwise, we were not welcome for lunch. The kitchen brigade was too busy preparing for the evening, according to the young host who shared this with little empathy.

Had a wonderful evening, children received a coloring page to keep busy. Service is very good and so is the food.

Just got back from this tent, what a deception, Things literally went to hell... We had to wait more than 20 minutes before we were asked if we wanted something to drink. This while the tent was three quarters empty and there were more than 10 people walking around. Once they got to the main course, they poured the fish stock over the steak instead of the Bouillabaise. An apology was made by the young inexperienced staff, with a promise that a new Steak would arrive as soon as possible. That took about 15 minutes, the medium rare was ordered. Unfortunately, it was still completely raw on the inside. After reporting, we indicated that we were done with it. The manager did not dare to show up and had one of his inexperienced staff members pay for the excuses. This was the last time for that money. Too bad, but we will never come here again!!

Kijk, er kan natuurlijk altijd iets verkeerd gaan, maar fout op fout en dan een paar jongelui het laten oplossen terwijl de “manager” op de achtergrond is waanzin. Prima tent om op een zomerse dag een paar bitterballen te eten maar verder is het niet meer wat het vroeger was. Het grootste probleem, sturing in alles. Een niet bekwame manager. Spijtig.

Net terug van deze tent wat een deceptie, Het liep letterlijk in de soep.. Wij moesten ruim 20 minuten wachten voordat ons werd gevraagd of wij wat wouden drinken. Dit terwijl de tent drie kwart leeg was en ze met ruim 10 man rondliepen. Eenmaal aan het hoofdgerecht gekomen schonken ze de vis bouillon over de steak ipv over de Bouillabaise. Excuses werd gemaakt door het jonge onervaren personeel, met een belofte dat er zo snel mogelijk een nieuwe Steak aankwam. Dat duurde ongeveer zo’n 15 minuten, die medium rare was besteld.. Helaas was deze nog helemaal rauw van binnen. Na het melden, aangegeven dat we er klaar mee waren. Waarop de manager zich niet durfde te vertonen en een van zijn onervaren personeelslid liet opdraaien voor de excuses. Dit was wel de laatste keer voor dat geld. Jammer maar hier komen wij nooit meer!!

This is a true "hidden gem", the menu is diverse and a nice mix of traditional dishes such as carpaccio and tomato soup alternated with delicious fresh meat and fish dishes, sirloin steak, sushi, a pokebowl or a delicious bouillabaisse. The host is passionate, friendly and knowledgeable, just like the staff. An absolute must for anyone who likes service, fresh and delicious food.

Enough service, everyone super hospitable and alert. Very nice and cozy restaurant, you get the feeling that you are away from the crowds of the Eemhof (where restaurants score very poorly). In terms of food, it was tasty, but a bit disappointing. Cheese croquettes to start with were on the lukewarm side. I had presa, I found it a bit disappointing. I expected slightly juicier meat. Was served without fries, but the fries I ordered were a lot. Creme brulee was tasty but very thin. Banana split sundae was large and delicious, although I expected chocolate sauce instead of caramel-coffee type sauce. Decaf cappuccino was very tasty.

We had dinner here with a toddler and a baby. Compared to the hysterical Center Parcs restaurant, this was a breath of fresh air. Quiet atmosphere, even though it was full. Sufficient food at a normal price. Children's menu also very reasonable price. Highly recommended

A lot of effort has been put into creating a more luxurious look to this restaurant. You also notice this in the prices. Unfortunately, for me the product choice lags behind. The restaurant has a focus on the sea, where with calamaris I really expect fresh squid and not ready-made...

Nothing special. Please pay attention to the B.L.T. sandwich on their menu. The menu states what you get with an order of BLT. Bread, Lettuce and Tomato... Dear, sweet southern sweet menu maker-typist; BLT stands for BACON LETTUCE and TOMATO.

The food was very good and so was the service. If there's going to be a meal in Center Park, it's here. Our entrecôte, salmon poke bowl, fish and side dishes were excellent.

What a wonderful meal the six of us had! Everything was neatly laid out and there was a glass everywhere because I had ordered prosecco online ahead of time as a surprise for my table companions. The restaurant is light, but still cozy. Friendly staff! And we had all the 6 delicious food!! Compliment and highly recommended.

Restaurant Zuiderzoet bezocht: Lekker eten; maar bediening was helemaal niet zo denderend. Apéritief: we vroegen Campari Orange: "is dat met Jus d'Orange", kregen we als vraag!(?) Het eten: Holstein steak blue, en de ober kent de uitdrukking "blue" niet (is basiskennis!) De wijn (Pinot noir 30 euro /fles, toch niet de goedkoopste vind ik, dus we verwachtten wel dat er dan een voorproef wordt gegeven), werd in een gesloten fles op tafel gezet; zonder voorproeven, zonder uitschenken. Dat moesten we , als klant, zelf doen. Ook de andere drank werd niet uitgeschonken; Na het eten, bestelden we een koffie met een shot amaretto, 2 latté's en ik niets. Bij het brengen van het gevraagde, kreeg mijn man koffie en ik een glas amaretto! er werd niet gevraagd wie wat moest hebben; echt beneden alle peil.

Spacious restaurant with a view of the marina. The service was smooth and friendly. There is a varied menu with quite a few fish dishes, which somehow feels appropriate for a restaurant on the water. The sole was on the small side (but well prepared).

What a worthless mess. According to reports and inquiries, dogs are allowed. Until you are turned away at the door in a very customer-unfriendly manner…

Had a drink there with my family.

What a nice restaurant. We were even welcome with the dog, baby (8 months) and a 4-year-old child. All the staff were friendly and helpful and took plenty of time for us. The food was also delicious! We don't live nearby otherwise we would certainly have come there more often.

A business with a lot of potential, but unfortunately it is not being used. We have eaten here a few times now and the food has been great every time! Unfortunately, stock management is downright dramatic, you don't have to count on the poke bowl with salmon, it is almost structurally impossible to order and unfortunately several dishes cannot be ordered every time. Zuiderzoet has 3 types of white wine on the menu, only 1 of which can also be ordered. The service does not seem very experienced and therefore the experience is unfortunately not what it should be for such a beautiful business. I really hope that the business can take steps forward, the potential is there!

Visited Zuiderzoet again after a long time. Is (was?) known as a restaurant with a price tag, but with good quality dishes. Unfortunately we had a disappointing experience. I will mention two examples. 1. Carpaccio without salt or pepper, meat came from the freezer and was too thick for carpaccio. You could also have gotten it in the supermarket. Not okay. 2. Fries had clearly been fried twice: color too dark, very greasy and overcooked. We reported this to the waiter, who later indicated that the chef agreed with our analysis. ....And when paying, a portion of fries was added to the bill (which we had taken off). The service was fine: correct and friendly. That wasn't the issue. We won't be back here anytime soon. Shame.

Food was excellent and inexpensive. Our ordered food was served in a short time. Service was very friendly and helpful. Restaurant location is ideal for a nice walk afterwards.

New owner since April 2024. Unfortunately, nothing remains. Kitchen that refuses to take allergies into account. Fixed staff who make no effort. By the way, they are also excellent substitutes, so it can be very friendly! Bremzoute Bouillabaisse, which doesn't come close to what was served before. I understand that eel is expensive, but in this starter the price was really disproportionate to the small piece of eel. Tacos too little flavor. Squid rings good, but from the freezer and not home made. And the draft beer (just Heineken) came from a bottle without explanation in the middle of high season... A shame, because it was really good here.

To end the holiday, the four of us had dinner here. The menu is extensive and because we like everything it takes a little longer to make a choice. We chose a very varied choice, mainly with many fish dishes, but also pasta Burrata. The latter was made with a very tasty mozzarella, not one of those cow's milk balls from the supermarket. The other dishes were also delicious. It tasted fresh, it was beautifully served, delicious. The service was friendly and took the time for us. If we come to the Zuidlob again, we will definitely come back here.

We were there for the last time today. The service was subpar, an older gentleman made an effort, the rest made us feel like we were a nuisance. I don't even want to mention all the other inconveniences. It's a shame, it should be our highlight at the end of our vacation.
