Delicious dishes, fast service, and very friendly staff! Also, a super beautiful interior!

Very nice grabbing a bite to eat with my husband, 4 months pregnant. First I order a pasta with turkey and vegetables without cheese; it is brought to the table, but there is cheese on it and no vegetables. Sent it back. A new plate without cheese, without vegetables. By now I had waited so long... okay, I am eating, really hungry, took a picture of it. Bread is placed on the table, only to be taken away again a minute later. We order the same drinks at the same time; I get a drink, my husband gets nothing... Once home, strange stomach. We can both handle a lot, but that evening we both got super sick from eating the wrong food. Now, 4 days later, we are both starting to recover a bit and can keep something else down besides broth. Never again

Top restaurant, a regular restaurant I visit very often, it has always been good. Tasty food and good prices.

Hisar is a restaurant we have been visiting for years. However, since some changes were implemented, our experience with the service has also deteriorated. On several occasions, the food has arrived late or cold. Today, we received a compensation order because the potato slices were delivered cold and limp twice in a row last time. We placed our order at 18:30 (and deliberately indicated that the bag of potato slices needed to be delivered open). It was mentioned that it might take a little longer due to the weather. However, that "little longer" took a total of 2 hours and 15 minutes. At 20:15, I called to ask where the order was, and was told that it was leaving the door "NOW." Half an hour later, our food still hadn't arrived. We called again, and they spoke of a "miscommunication." The delivery person arrived while I was on the phone. It was then stated that the food had only left the door fifteen minutes earlier. Unfortunately, the potato slices were delivered in closed bags after all, and the service and the food were not as hoped. Mistakes can happen, just like miscommunication, but when this continues to occur structurally, understanding runs out. That is why this was the last time for us at Hisar. It is unfortunate that the owner does not address the root cause of the problems, but repeatedly opts for compensation. However, compensation has little value when the same mistakes keep repeating themselves.

Ordered food yesterday. The meat was cold and tasted like plastic. Received tomato onion sauce instead of the spicy sauce I asked for.

Only my canary in the cage would be satisfied with that Iftar menu; 28 euros for this menu is unacceptable. You brought everything on a sensitive scale.

I was here last weekend for dinner with friends and we had a wonderful evening. The atmosphere in the restaurant was cozy and relaxed, making it a perfect place to eat together and catch up. During dinner, I had a small issue with my order, but it was handled very professionally. The owner personally came to our table to listen to what had gone wrong and to look for a solution together. I found that very thoughtful and it demonstrates good service and commitment. Ultimately, the problem was resolved in a nice and customer-friendly manner. I noticed that the guests are taken into account here and that they want everyone to leave with a good feeling. That is why I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family. We would certainly love to come back here again.

Ordered food: a 4-cheese pizza and a shawarma platter. Everything was lukewarm to cold. The pizza still had some heat and was tasty on its own. The potatoes and shawarma were cold and really not good. I called the restaurant, and they kept insisting it had been delivered immediately. It was delivered by car. It couldn't have been cold if they had left immediately. They were willing to deliver new food, but then it would be just as cold as this time?! It's okay to make mistakes, but lying isn't polite. Telling people you'll deliver cold again when you have to deliver again is rude. Never again!

We come here often. The owner is incredibly hospitable, nothing is too much trouble, and the food, including appetizers, main courses, and dessert, is absolutely delicious. A MUST DO!

Went back to Hisar after a long time, but it was very disappointing. It's nothing like it used to be. I ordered the mixed grill 1: the shawarma wasn't fresh, and the chicken looked like it had been thrown straight from the pan onto the plate with a liter of oil. It also didn't seem to have been cleaned, with lots of bits of bone in it. The Hisar chicken breast was meager, with very small pieces. Sadly, it was our last time.

Pizza was delicious but you have to wait 1.5 hours for it, I think until the chicken had to be plucked. Delivery took a very long time!

We'd been coming here regularly for years. In the lead-up to the alcohol ban, if you were of a different persuasion, you were increasingly literally stared out of the place by the other guests. You could tell the staff weren't comfortable with it, and they were so friendly. Hypocritical, because these guys drink raki (alcohol) elsewhere and do everything their master had forbidden. So I'm not explicitly saying that other guests of this persuasion are the same, but I'm sure the people who were in charge at Hisar back then were. Now that there's a new owner, we went back to check it out, and everything is back to normal. The food was fantastic, the service was still great, and they even have a regular glass of wine and beer on the menu. We'll be back regularly. One tip: spruce up the entrance and the terrace a bit, because from the outside, it still looks a bit gloomy.

A simple pasta hisar that was simply inedible. I've ordered here many times, but this was definitely the very last time. First of all, the delivery driver rings the doorbell, stands in front of you, raises his head, and doesn't mention the price. There was no "good evening" or "bon appétit" (enjoy your meal). The pasta was literally swimming in cheese; the taste was different than usual; it was simply, to put it bluntly, inedible. The baguette wasn't even fully baked; it was so soft you could knead it into a ball. This is a real shame, but save your money because this really isn't worth it. (€23.50) gone.

Eerlijk is eerlijk: automatische invullen had per ongeluk het huisnummer van de buren ingevuld op “Thuisbezorgd”. Na een uur nog steeds niets ontvangen. Gebeld; bleek het verkeerde huisnummer, maar mijn telefoonnummer was wel juist. Na mijn excuses voor de fout zeiden ze; “Bezorger heeft u gebeld” (Onzin, geen gemiste oproep of dergelijke) dus hij was verder gegaan. Maar onze bestelling werd alsnog geleverd zeiden ze, komt er zsm aan. Dat klopt, maar álles was wel IJSKOUD!!! Ik heb het restaurant gebeld; “Klopt, is koud. Sorry he, ff opwarmen”. Ja nee natuurlijk.. €40 voor koude shoarma en kindermenu.. We doen alles gewoon “ff” in de magnetron, wordt het zeker lekkerder van.. Communiceer “ff” dat het eten alsnog geleverd wordt, maar dan wel IJSKOUD! Slechte klantenservice. Wij eten hier nooit meer.

Pizza shawarma, Delicious food. I must say that this time it was as I have come to expect from Hisar. Excellent!! I enjoyed it. Neatly resolved by a phone call from the owner herself. Thank you for this delicious meal. I recommend everyone to simply order your food here or eat in a homely atmosphere where it is also child-friendly and wheelchair-friendly. The best (Turkish) restaurant in Hengelo and the surrounding area if you want value for money. Especially the pizzas, baked potatoes and pasta dishes are unsurpassed for me personally. The service and hospitality are also excellent. Definitely recommended!!!!

Since Restaurant Hisar is under new management, I really enjoy every order I place there. The quality of the food is excellent: the dishes are perfectly prepared, delicious and the meat is always tender. Delivery is also fast and efficient, which is a big plus. I have now ordered for the fifth time and every time the food exceeds my expectations. In addition, the menu offers a wide variety of dishes, which provides a lot of choice and always something new to try. Restaurant Hisar is definitely recommended for anyone looking for tasty food and reliable service.

Unfortunately, after waiting 1.20 hours for the order, I had to call again. First the connection is broken after passing on the address. Then after the 3rd time you are answered again "bad connection", unfortunately madam your order is not ready yet. Just ask and then it's almost ready, but she can't say when we can expect it because it's busy! Unfortunately I have already paid for it, but I hope it tastes good in the not too distant future! At first I was shocked by the prices, but a little later I got my food and this calmed me down a bit. The portions are large. I had a pasta Gambero, which was well filled with shrimps and tasted very delicious. The service is good.

Vriendelijke mensen en een van de betere plekken als je een regio Hengelo behoefte heb om een shoarmaatje te eten.

Ik heb heerlijk van ouds van het eten genoten , het was erg lekker & we mochten bestellen wat we wouden ( valentijnsdiner gewonnen ) het vlees was goed bereid en bij aankomst een mooi versierde tafel , ook de serveersters een compliment ze waren zeer vriendelijk en gastvrij .

Dec 2022: Vraag: We willen graag met z'n vieren komen eten, moeten we reserveren? Antw: Beter van wel als u zeker wilt zijn van een tafel. Bij binnenkomst 2 (Twee) tafels bezet en dat werd daarna niet veel anders. De drukte van vroeger is echt wel voorbij en dat is niet vreemd. Meubilair versleten, van banken zijn hele lappen toplaag verdwenen, damestoilet smerig plakkerig, geen toiletpapier of handdoekjes, Turkse muziek (op zich niet slecht maar dan wel op de achtergrond) schalt knetterhard door de zaak wat een gesprek regelmatig zeer moeilijk maakt. Wij waren liefhebber van de kleine şis kebab-schotel met twee spiezen omdat drie voor ons eigenlijk wat veel is, maar die hebben ze van de kaart geschrapt. Smaak zou goed zijn indien het vlees en de aardappeltjes heet waren, maar helaas is hooguit lauw een betere bewoording. Prijzen zeer sterk gestegen maar onderhoud van de zaak, service en kwaliteit helaas gedaald. Jammer dat het de nieuwe eigenaar niet lukt om de goede naam van de eerste eigenaar hoog te houden. Voor ons geen bezoek meer aan ons eens zo favoriete Hisar. 😥 5 jaar geleden: Bij binnenkomst valt meteen al op dat het interieur van Hisar met zorg is gerestaureerd. De ontvangst is hartelijk, de maaltijden zijn uitstekend en worden met zorg voor smaak en presentatie geserveerd. Ondanks de zeer schappelijke prijzen is niet bezuinigd op kwaliteit of hoeveelheid. Zowel de Turkse schotels - mijn favouriet is de Sis Kebab 'mini'schotel met twee lamshaasspiezen, rijst, gebakken aardappels, vier verschillende sauzen, enz. - als de pasta's doen ons telkens weer terug komen.

Het eten is superlekker, maar iets aan de prijs. De service is goed, vriendelijk en amicaal personeel. Ik heb afgehaald op een vrijdagnacht, de sfeer was niet super maar dat ligt niet aan hisar

Van te voren gebeld om voor 1 gerecht een aangepaste bestelling door te geven, dit was akkoord en uitgevoerd echter door een miscommunicatie was de gehele bestelling aangepast. ik heb gelijk gebeld en ze hebben a la minute de juiste bestelling gemaakt en bezorgd, echt een top top top service ! Super bedankt Hisar en uiteraard ook jullie vriendelijke medewerkers!

Lamsbout schotel door twee personen besteld. Deze was NIET te eten ZOVEEL ZOUT!! zowel het vlees als de aardappel schijfjes. Deze gemeld hier is verder NIETS mee gedaan!! Ik klaag niet snel en zal dit ook niet zo snel ergens melden via een review maar dit kan niet..!! Jammer hoe de gang van zaken daar tegenwoordig gaan. Nieuwe eigenaar(en) van Hisar ik beveel jullie zaak hierbij zeer zeker NIET aan om bij jullie te komen eten..!! Hisar is geen Hisar meer sinds de nieuwe eigenaar..

İk. Heb een pasta aglio besteld zit geen room saus of tomaatsaus zit max 250 gram penne en paar klien stukje knoflook en paar spanse peper voor maar 10€ en is niet te vreten ık ben niet tevreden als je pasta Wilt Bestellen doe dan geen aglio of ergens anders

Ik eet hier altijd op locatie en het is me nog nooit tegengevallen. Kan oprecht elke dag hisar eten en ervan blijven genieten! Vandaag was de chamignonsaus op, maar werd ons uiteindelijk wel geserveerd doordat het personeel even naar de winkel is gerend om alsnog chamignonsaus te kunnen serveren, zonder dat we dat hadden gevraagd of verwacht. Echt topservice en bovenal heerlijk eten!

Sinds de nieuwe eigenaar november jl. alcohol en varkensvlees in de ban gedaan is de service er ook niet beter op geworden. Ondanks het feit dat sommige gerechten niet werden geserveerd met varkensvlees, zijn bepaalde gerechten toch veranderd wat vleessamenstelling betreft. Sis kebab bijvoorbeeld werd altijd bereid van kalfsvlees. Ook dit is veranderd naar lamsvlees kwam ik achter toen ik een bestelling deed. Persoonlijk vind ik dit veel minder lekker (en velen met mij). Ik heb per mail gevraagd wat de reden is om te switchen van kalfsvlees naar lamsvlees voor dit gerecht. En of het mogelijk is toch als alternatief voor kalfsvlees te kiezen. Omdat ik geen reactie kreeg heb ik het daarna nog een keer gevraagd, maar er wordt totaal niet gereageerd......Een hele slechte zaak en wat mij betreft een reden om daar niet te komen en al helemaal niets meer te bestellen. Triest en sneu gelijk. Je neemt je klanten dan ook niet serieus vind ik.

Na 1 uur en 50 minuten wachten krijgen wij als ik voor de 3e keer weer aan de telefoon hang eindelijk ons eten (lauw) bezorgd. Natuurlijk krijgen we weer een saus te kort aangeleverd. Aan de telefoon had Hisar mij beloofd 2 cola en 2 AA energy drink mee te leveren voor het lange wachten. Wat schets mijn verbazing… Bij de bestelling geen beloofd drinken… Hisar schandalig, je bent aan ons nu echt een klant kwijtgeraakt.
