Restaurant Jasmijn Garden in Wijk 07 Marsdijk

Tucked away above the soccer club canteen, the wok restaurant provides a nice atmosphere. When I was there, it was fairly quiet and you could have a conversation at the table. They do cater to bigger groups as evidenced by long tables. Not sure how rowdy it gets. The formula is all you can eat for two or two and a half hours, including drinks. The food is part prepared beforehand and part prepared on the spot, which is the wok end of the business. It is not cheap but good value for money considering general price levels in the Netherlands.

Forgot to include prawn crackers costing 4.40 euros. It happens. Called immediately; the delivery person hadn't even been gone a minute and would have been back within 20 minutes anyway. The answer was that it couldn't be delivered later due to being busy. The solution was free next time. We didn't agree to that; we wanted the prawn crackers now. It was refused again. My solution was a refund. That is possible, but it takes a week, and if I don't hear anything, I have to call again myself. At this point, this is simply a refusal of service that has been paid for, which is why I have reported it to Thuisbezorgd, among others. For those who want to order: I recommend the other Chinese restaurant in Assen; they handle these kinds of matters properly.

Insanely delicious food. Consistent quality. Had visitors from abroad last weekend who were super enthusiastic. No matter who we invite from the country, everyone says: wow, this is really an amazing restaurant. (takeaway)

We think that a lot is heated up in the microwave if you order something here and pick it up. After various experiences, we went to another Chinese, and the quality is much better there.

Ordered an expensive dish for delivery. According to the menu, it was "Shrimp with a spicy coating." The reality was spending nearly 30 euros on a bowl of greens with shelled shrimp that are inedible and impossible to peel. What a shame!

The monthly menu and mini-menu are highly recommended for takeaway. There is no long wait when picking up. The food is always hot and of consistent quality. In terms of taste, I found Happy Garden slightly better; it is currently located in Rolde, and I also hear people speak positively about Fong Sho near the center. However, being so close by is really nice for good, hot food. The wok restaurant with live cooking is also highly recommended. The meat and vegetables are flavorful and tasty; the concept is top-notch, especially for groups.

Babi pangang was delicious and nice and hot. However, the accompanying noodles were cold. I just threw them away due to a food safety issue. I couldn't afford to get sick right now.

A 5-star rating across the board. It is the first time, and what stands out is that it is less crowded than comparable restaurants in Drenthe. Highly recommended. The quality is excellent. The selection might be slightly smaller, but that does not detract from the fact that there is a wide variety. I can highly recommend this eatery to anyone.

They have adjusted their prices so that you can no longer simply place an order like a Bami/Nasi a la Jasmijn, because you are €0.50 short for delivery. Furthermore, you have to pay exorbitant delivery costs. You have lost me as a customer; I do not like these kinds of practices.

Ridiculous. As a 70-year-old, I have to pay the full price, going from 38 to 40 euros, to a bunch of teenagers who don't know anything. Otherwise, I was told I should just leave. Because that's what it said in the computer. Don't come back here where you get ripped off. It's only 4 euros, but the way you are treated... Next time I'll just go back to Leek.

Some flavors aren't really my thing, and that varies at every Chinese restaurant. But everything else is great!!! The ready-made selection is also huge!!

Eating here last Saturday was a disappointment. Around 8:00 PM the sushi ran out, and couldn't be made anymore.. some Chinese dishes weren't refilled, and the chocolate fountain was half solidified.

Nothing to complain about regarding the service, it was good, although clearing the tables a bit faster would have been nice. It was very cold inside and the food was meager, with very little variety. What was available was okay though. Personally, I get really fed up when my meat is cooked on the same griddle as the fish.

The food was super delicious and the staff was very nice. We didn't like some of the sushi flavors that much, but that is just our opinion. In any case, it won't be the last time for us at this restaurant.

Then you order 2 vegetarian spring rolls and you get 2 spring rolls with chicken meat inside. Chicken meat is NOT vegetarian, chef from Jasmijn Garden!

Delicious single-person meals, truly delicious

I had ordered the monthly menu and when I arrived it was ready immediately. Brought it from Assen to Hoogezand and it was still warm and tasty. Very satisfied. And plenty too. We are going to eat it again tomorrow.

Quite good, lots of choice. The European dishes aren't that great. Replace the old dishes, don't just throw the new ones on top. That would be nicer. They are friendly, as are the cooks.

We dined here last night with two people. We were shown to our table but no further explanation was given. The buffet wasn't replenished after 6:30 PM, so there wasn't much choice. The fries and potato wedges were very cold and soggy. There wasn't much to choose from in the desserts because they weren't replenished, and at 8 PM they were already clearing away while we could have stayed there until 9 PM. We won't be back.

Ordered food well in advance for delivery at 6:00 PM. Then I called back. Yes, I understand it can be busy. I can live with being 5 or 10 minutes late, but 30 minutes late and receiving lukewarm food is too much. Called again, but they're busy, and that's just the way it is.

Ordered food for 10 people, it was supposed to arrive at 7:30 PM, and it arrived right on time, deliciously hot, excellent quality, four monthly menus. Some of the guests weren't from Assen, but they were pleasantly surprised by the quality, the warmth, and the size of the portions—a good 10.

The special nasi is just a bowl of white rice, except for a few pieces of leek or a crumb of meat, very sparse. The tomato soup is completely underwhelming; it feels like you're swallowing a cup of sauce. Excellent delivery.

We wanted to try a new restaurant and ended up here. The food was good, but the selection was very limited, and things weren't replenished, even though it was only 7 p.m. They also started taking away and clearing away containers around 8 p.m. (they're open until 10 p.m.), which actually gave us the feeling they wanted us gone. The staff was very friendly, so we didn't mind. But the combination of the selection, the unreplenished items, and the price means we probably won't be back.

Four of us were here last Wednesday evening for a nice meal together, but it was a huge disappointment! The food trays weren't replenished, and everything was practically lukewarm to cold! The staff also started cleaning at 8 p.m. while we were still eating! I find that absolutely unacceptable, and that's why it was our last time at Jasmijn.

The food selection is extensive, fresh, and inviting. Items that are running low are replenished promptly, ensuring you don't miss out. The other guests were also very friendly and sociable; the restaurant exudes hospitality, connection, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended!

The food here was very disappointing to me (and to several of my group). Many of the ready-made dishes were tasteless. The sushi was a hard, large lump of rice straight from the refrigerator. There was also very little selection compared to other fast food places. The grilled dishes (meat and fish) were tasty, though, hence the two stars.

Amazing food great value for money

I only used the wok and griddle, and that was fine. Delicious desserts, great ice cream, good coffee. Only the wine. It's not good. A cozy restaurant, very suitable for groups.

The food is fine, but I ordered here and noticed an additional charge for iDEAL payments. This is not permitted: according to the European Payment Services Directive PSD2 and Article 7:520a, paragraph 2 of the Dutch Civil Code, businesses are not allowed to charge surcharges for iDEAL payments within the EU. The restaurant responded that this is due to their ordering system (Sitedish) and that they have no control over it. Legally, this is incorrect: the consumer enters into the agreement with the restaurant, so the restaurant remains responsible for correct payment terms. It doesn't matter which system you use. Hopefully, this will be adjusted soon so that customers no longer face unjustified additional charges.

Jasmijn Garden's meal delivery service is close to restaurant quality, but delivered to your door. Planning and agreements are meticulously adhered to. Friendly staff, from order to delivery. Clear instructions for keeping the food at the correct temperature, clean materials, and waste bins. We included cutlery, plates, and napkins: highly recommended. The food is diverse and of excellent quality; you can't pamper your guests better. Wow!

Good and tasty food, recommended.

The raw salmon tasted very strange. The sushi was twice the size of regular sushi and completely invisible. It's located at the very end of the restaurant after the wok and teppanyaki. It's just a matter of taste. They don't take your wishes into account. I didn't want scallions with the teppanyaki (due to an allergy), and I clearly stated this, but they gave me everything. So I couldn't eat it. The chocolate fountain wasn't working properly; there was hard chocolate on the inside of the fountain. It didn't look appetizing. The partition between the tables and the queue at the wok/teppanyaki was noisy. You could clearly hear entire phone calls and other conversations, but not the people sitting at the table. When leaving, they didn't ask if everything was to your liking. There was no staff in sight. Not recommended.

A very good all-you-can-eat concept. The food is excellent. The price-quality ratio is excellent, especially with drinks included. The service is truly top-notch, with friendly young women. The location is extra unique, with a view of the soccer fields. The restaurant and restrooms are spotlessly clean. Free and ample parking is available right outside. We will definitely be back.

Everything good and taken care of

We found the food very mediocre. Dishes were lukewarm to cold, a fact we experienced three times with our family. We also reported this to the staff. The presentation of the dishes received little attention. Some dishes deserve to be stirred occasionally. There were also many containers with barely anything in them, which obviously doesn't help maintain the temperature. The taste (and yes, that's debatable) wasn't good either. It was bland, prepared with little love or inspiration. The same went for the wok: the black bean sauce was thin, and you had to work really hard to get any black bean sauce out of it. In conclusion, we won't be going back there again.

Delicious all-you-can-eat food. The salmon and wok are especially good. Beautifully decorated! I love coming here. It has gotten a bit more expensive than it used to be.

The food is fine and the people who serve are very kind. However it is a very big place, I went here with my wife for a nice one to one dinner at Christmas. For that this is not the right place. It is more ment for you eat a lot with a large group, not for a romantic time together. We will not be visiting again together.

Nice restaurant. A bit small-scale. But we are spoiled I know. Good ambiance. Friendly staff. And very fresh food. That struck us. Fresh fish varieties. Fresh sushi. Fresh meat with tapanjaki. Also friendly chef here. We each only drink 1 bottle of non-alcoholic radler. So all inn is of no use then. We go out to eat for the fun and the food. Not to drink a lot of alcohol. Was once a good Chinese restaurant, but the last 2 times the Mihoen Goring was not good because the noodles were glassy, ​​pink in color and tasteless, apparently a few days old and had to be put back in the pan, otherwise there is no explanation for this. I used to be there every week for mihoen goring or Tjaw Siew, but now I'll never go there again.

This was Ajam Pangang - we ordered it to take away here. I have never eaten such dry and tough chicken before! I didn't swallow it either, I spit it out, it wasn't completely chewable. It's crazy what there is. I've never experienced that anywhere before!
