A beautiful, modern location on the marina. It's quite large, which makes it a bit noisy. Not ideal for a quiet tête-à-tête. The lack of a drinks menu is a real drawback; you have to see the prices and see what they have. Food and drinks are quite expensive. Portions of food, glasses of wine, tea, and drinks are on the small side, very frugal. A real missed opportunity.

Even with an annoying allergen (E621...flavor enhancer), I could literally order the entire menu here! The food was delicious!

I hadn't heard of this restaurant before. I had lunch with my mother last week. It was a very pleasant surprise, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was exceptionally delicious. Everything looks well-presented. The service is friendly. Parking is available almost right outside the door. Definitely worth a return visit.

This was my second time here. It's a truly wonderful place to eat. First, they ask what you'd like to drink, and then they give you the menu. They keep a close eye on everything. The food is delicious. I've had lunch there twice now, and I'm sure dinner will be delicious too. Highly recommended.

We wanted to grab some lunch. It took 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. Then it took another 35 minutes for someone to take our order. I think the young man walking around didn't understand how things worked. He left and then returned after checking on one table. People who arrived later were served first. It's a good thing we were so hungry, otherwise we would have left. All in all, it took over an hour for our food to arrive. The club sandwich was fine, but not worth the wait.

Had a delicious lunch at a lovely restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The crispy chicken poke bowl was delicious, especially the small mushrooms in soy sauce.

We wanted a drink. We waited 15 minutes for an order to be taken. Then we waited another 15 minutes and never saw a drink. They did come and ask if we wanted a drink 😳. We didn't hear anything back. We left and went somewhere else where we were treated like regular customers and got our drinks served properly. Clunkers. Never again.

Good latte macchiato, friendly service

We had a wonderful meal here today. It just took a while, but with the sunshine, that's not a problem! We'll definitely be back.

A real asset to Geldermalsen and surroundings. Good food, beautiful products in a nice atmosphere. Tip for improvement: afterwards our clothes smell like fried food. The smell is also noticeable upon entering. Perhaps fine-tune the air extraction. Otherwise top!

Nice place on a small square at the harbour.

You have to sit there for 20 minutes before the waiter comes to ask you what you want. Then you haven't seen a menu yet, but you order what the waitress advised. The food was tasty but little and quite expensive. You only find that out when you pay.

Unfortunately today the weather was not what we like to have in the weekend. So lunch on the beautiful terrace at the harbour in Geldermalsen was not possible. After a very friendly welcome we were assigned a nice table inside, in the beautiful and atmospheric restaurant with a large bar and open kitchen and still a view of the harbour. After ordering a drink and receiving the menu we made our choice. Decided to go for the Locals Burger with fries. Very tasty burger and also the fresh fries with skin were as expected. We will definitely come back soon for lunch on the terrace in nice weather!

Just had a lovely lunch with the two of us at Locals. The layout, presentation and service of what was eaten were excellent and above our expectations, compliments to the kitchen! Certainly also for the atmospheric interior of the establishment. Highly recommended and definitely worth repeating.

*I got diarrhea after eating raw oysters here.* The food itself is quite nice, reasonably tasty. If it weren't for the fact that I got diarrhea after eating here. That's really not possible. In addition, the service today was quite slow and had a very reserved attitude. Considering the price level, this is not something you should expect - we sat in an empty restaurant for 15 minutes looking around before being asked if we wanted something to drink. And this after we were led to the table by the same person! In addition, there are (apparently?) children's menu options, but they are not mentioned or written down anywhere. The same goes for the drinks, which are quite expensive (€4.40 for a small draft beer!) but you only find out later. Too bad. I won't be going back here anytime soon, let alone for dinner.

Delicious food and a nice spot with a view of the harbor. The service seemed a bit inexperienced, so we sometimes had to wait a while before we were helped. It wasn't super busy. Nevertheless, I would come back here.

Ascension Day and fair in Geldermalsen. We had been talking about going for drinks at Locals for some time because this is a nice location and new. We were really looking forward to it. The weather was nice, so we went to the terrace. A lady comes to tell us that we have to leave because they are cleaning up the mess from the busy lunch. We were overwhelmed, we looked at each other in disbelief and left the terrace. We just wanted to have a drink alone, but apparently they couldn't even put down a bottle of wine, nothing... What an incredible missed opportunity! We regularly go out to eat in Geldermalsen, often spending quite a bit of money, but apparently we are not welcome at Locals... and the staff is not creative. Later we went to the terrace again and ordered a bottle of white wine. The wine coolers are also a big mistake, because they do not cool. If there is a hole in the side, they are black, resulting in lukewarm wine. Then you ask about those coolers and the answer is seriously "oh, we never get comments about that"... no, of course not because people prefer not to open their mouths. If you ask them, you will definitely get the same comments. In short, it's not all that useful here, pooh pooh...

A warm welcome, very nice and friendly service that knows how it works. Never had to wait too long for anything. It was so difficult to choose between so many delicious lunch dishes. Never had a dessert after lunch before, but what a good idea that was! The Toffe pear was sublime! I will definitely come back for dinner! Reservations are necessary!

Been once, nice place but indeed no drinks menu, a loss, you have to see the prices and see what something costs, right? 1x capu 1xlatte 1x white wine 1x beer 0.25 €25 quite expensive, hence no drinks menu, never again for us, a pity.

Very nice ambiance. Nice meal. But especially the care that the service has for their guests is fantastic. Open kitchen. Very nice to watch how the team prepares most of the meals on the serving hatch.

Beautiful and nice place. The surprise menu was really fan-tas-tic. (And also the truffle nuts with the coffee by the way, waitress with no name, thanks for the extra truffle nuts ☺️) I think that when the good weather outside arrives, the restaurant will become highly recommended.

We had dinner here on Christmas Day, a real pleasure. Price/quality is really well balanced. Good wine recommendations with every course. And a young waiter (19) who knew a lot about the wines served. The other employees were also very friendly! Great evening.

The two of us had a delicious meal here on Saturday, December 21, 2024. The ladies and gentlemen at the service are very nice, the food was excellent and the atmosphere relaxed. Will definitely come back here!

Had dinner here with my wife on Friday evening. Because the menu did not immediately appeal to us, we opted for the surprise menu. This turned out to be a good choice with all kinds of delicious dishes outside the menu. We also took the wine pairing. This was also very good! The service went smoothly, even though the place was quite full. We found the reception a bit hesitant (a smile was missing), but the waitress thawed as the evening progressed and was certainly knowledgeable. In short, worth repeating!

Only had coffee on the terrace. Nice in the autumn sun. The 'cool pear' pastry is special and very tasty.

We wanted something to eat for lunch. However, there was little/nothing on the menu that we liked. Bread with..... (simple eggs, pulled chicken, etc.) was virtually non-existent (wasn't on the menu). Shame. So I skipped lunch there and stopped for a drink... The Cappuccino and Cola on Wednesday were fine. The service from the waitress was good.

Been twice now. Indicate that they do not have a drinks menu (never experienced this before) but that they do have everything. Then don't have plant-based milk for coffee because; "We're not that hip." I think it would be a bit of a hassle to purchase half a pack for people with lactose intolerance. Then they didn't have ginger beer either. Soup was quite tasteless, partner's burger was tasty. Expensive sweet potato fries with truffle mayo was a real waste of money. A few minimal strings of sauce on top and all the fries were dark brown as if they came from old frying fat. I ate some of them out and the rest tasted really fried.

The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful. And the staff is also very kind. We had sandwiches for lunch and we liked it.

We go to a restaurant, looks like a nice place, go inside, order from the 3 choices. It takes a long time to arrive, the meat arrives half cold, but in the meantime you have to order fries because there are four of the "potatoes" mentioned. Staff was nice.

Delicious food in a super cozy atmosphere. Especially when the sun is shining and you can look out over the harbor on the terrace. For a wonderful evening out with good food and if you take the time, you really get value for your money.

We had to wait on the terrace before anyone even came to us. With 4 occupied tables outside and 2 occupied tables inside, the restaurant was full. No explanation etc. or we would like to welcome you another time, full, what a worthless welcome there, we will never eat anything there.

Delicious food! Beautifully located, nice terrace, beautiful interior design and friendly service. We took the three-course surprise menu. Highly recommended! The only thing I missed was a drinks menu. Now you don't know what is/is not available. For example, it would be nice to be able to choose from various cocktails and gin and tonics, etc.

The atmosphere is great! The service is amazing and they have attention in English. The food is well priced and they also have glutenfree options. The glutenfree bread used in sandwiches in their lunch menu can be a bit hard, definitely couldn't cut it with my cutlery and had to takit it with my hands. Other than that, it was very tasty!

This attractive new restaurant is located in a beautiful location at the marina. In the summer you can also dine on the terrace, but fortunately it is also nice to spend time indoors when the weather is bad. The service is friendly, your coat is taken and you are taken to your table. The staff does not all have the same experience, but this is more than made up for by their enthusiasm. The small menu is well varied and is certainly not too expensive. Besides the menu, there are also alternatives you can choose from. Limited vegetarian offering, which is a shame. Even on busy days, the food is served quickly and neatly. All in all a great dining experience!

Delicious meal, starting with carpaccio where the strips of cheese melted in your tongue, followed by prawns that, combined with a sweet and sour salad, were great. Ending with a cheese board with cheese from Noordam and Betuwe apple syrup, a perfect combination with nut bread. Something less was that it was fresh.

Fijne lunch of diner locatie, goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding eten, kreeftenbisque was helemaal top! Maar ook gewoon een goede carpaccio en mooie vis-, vega- en vlees gerechten! Attente bediening en heel fijn zitten tafelen daar 🙏🍷

Dit restaurant is mooi gelegen aan de Lingehaven van Geldermalsen. Gezellig terras en binnen een moderne inrichting. De tafelsetting is erg divers en speels. Het eten was fantastisch. Absoluut een aanrader. We hadden Kabeljauw en lam. Vooral het lamsgerecht was heerlijk.

Heerlijke maaltijden met eindelijk voldoende verse groenten ipv alleen maar vlees. Ook de bijgerechten waren bijzonder en lekker. Een aanrader.

Aan de Geldermalsense jachthaven; allerlei lekkers tegen eerlijke prijzen geserveerd door vriendelijke, vrolijke lieden die eer in hun werk uitstralen en pas tevreden zijn zodra wij dat zijn !!

Heerlijk gegeten en erg vriendelijke bediening. Wel moesten we lang wachten op het eten. Ook passen de prijzen niet helemaal bij de kwaliteit van het eten (erg duur).

Voor de 1ste keer heen en vond het een super leuk tentje, eten was ook super lekker en de service was ook verassend goed. We komen zeker weer een keer terug!

1e keer gaan eten hier ,prima bevallen. Wel kleine kaart maar wat er op staat zijn mooie gerechten. Erg smaakvol en mooie borden . Prijs / kwaliteit is goed te noemen. Gezellige ambiance. Kom er zeker een keer terug .

Vriendelijk personeel, lekker gegeten (lunch) Op zich best een sfeervolle tent alleen de man met het keyboard maakt de sfeer een beetje knullig.

Leuke zaak om te lunchen. Het is binnen niet te groot met mooie meubels aangekleed. Lunchkaart was prima, maar het had iets uitgebreider mogen zijn met een uitsmijter /12 uurtje. Bediening is vriendelijk. Was niet zo druk helaas.

Das wird jetzt schwer. Wir hatten uns schon auf leckeres Essen und ein paar kalte Biere gefreut. Ich wollte eine tolle Bewertung schreiben weil es den Ort Geldermalsen aufwerten könnte. Dieses tolle neue Restaurant glänzt durch seine Lage und sein Ambiente. Leider ist der Service unterirdisch und auch das Konzept auf der Terrasse kein (bzw nur eingeschränkt) Essen zu servieren ist für den Standort nicht angemessen. Es gibt zwar draußen Borreltjes (Kleinigkeiten) aber die sind modernem Schnickschnack gewichen. Ein Borrelpkaatje gibt es auch nicht. Für 4 Garnelen im Tempurmantel oder 4 Mc Nuggets je 10,-€ Man möchte also nur innen das überteuerte Angebot servieren. Nur mit Reservierung! Nur Abends! Das ist in NL nichts Besonderes erweckt aber hier den Eindruck Gäste nicht nötig zu haben. Wer draußen sitzt muss schon mal an die Theke gehen um bedient zu werden. Dort tummeln sich dann die Servicekräfte und labern statt zu bedienen. Natürlich ist es schwer Personal zu finden aber welches zu haben was nicht arbeitet ist auch keine Lösung. Endlich was positives: Das Ambiente. Das Restaurant ist wirklich schön gemacht. Über (nur 2) Unisex Toiletten ( für 60 Gäste) kann man streiten. Auch das kein Spiegel angebracht wurde wundert. Die Toilettenräume sind sehr dunkel aber sauber. Das Gebäude von aussen und der Gastraum sind wirklich sehr ansprechend und gelungen. Die offene Küche zeigt das Arbeiten der Köche. Hier ist alles sauber! Resümee: Designerfood in tollem Ambiente mit faulem Servicepersonal. Da wir oft in Geldermalsen sind, werde ich die Rezension vielleicht noch ändern, sollte sich das Konzept ändern. Auf den Bildern zu sehen: Leere Gläser faules Personal aber auch das schöne Ambiente.

We hadden ons verheugd op een lunch op een leuke plek aan de haven. Het restaurant en terras zagen er goed verzorgd uit maar de 'eetervaring' was niet bijzonder. Een vrij doorsnee clubsandwich met friet (van de sandwich kun je echt wat meer van maken), een prima burger (maar ook niet heel bijzonder) en 2 garnalenkroketjes op 3 hele dikke sneden bruin brood. Al met al goed maar we hadden wat meer culinaire verrassing verwacht als je gerechten serveert die niet heel uitdagend zijn. Beetje standaard en dat is wel jammer.

Na een dagje hard werken op het water krijg je lekkere trek, hier is het mogelijk om je buikje op spanning te zetten, erg lekker gegeten en zeer vriendelijk personeel.

Deze avond eens geprobeerd , lekker gegeten tomaten met burata/ carpacio daarna aanrader van de kok ribeye voor 2 pers heerlijk gegrild met mooie garnituur en dikke friet Met een lekker alcohol vrij warsteiner biertje er bij hebben we genoten een aanrader !! Een min puntje karaf kraan water €3 ,50 De dames van de bediening zeer vriendelijk
