We had a delicious meal here on Christmas Day. The restaurant looks cozy and very clean. The staff was also very friendly. The service was also excellent! Definitely recommended.

Great atmosphere, but I've been there three times now and the service is completely inattentive. No one comes to your table.

It's a very nice restaurant with excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere. However, the portions are very small. The mixed grill for one person costs €32.50. It's served on a snack platter and consists of a mini cheeseburger, a kind of mini sausage, a piece of dried chicken, and a very tasty piece of pulled pork. You also get a piece of corn on the cob and a small roasted bell pepper. It's one of the more expensive dishes on the menu, but it's not particularly special, and the presentation and portion size are simply not worth the price. The desserts, however, were delicious.

Went for lunch today. You always get a warm welcome that makes you feel at home. You don't feel rushed to order because they give you the freedom to order whenever you want. The food is always excellent. Highly recommended for lunch, high tea, and dinner.

Wonderful place to be and great for events and parties

All three of our orders were incorrect. When we received our food, it was cold, and it took an hour and a half. The issue was resolved, and the new hot food arrived within fifteen minutes. We recommend reconsidering eating here.

The food wasn't bad...but rather bland. Neither the choice (the everlasting carpaccio and crème brûlée for dessert—which, incidentally, was too cold) nor the preparation were particularly appealing. The service was friendly and attentive, and the seating inside was comfortable. A bit pricey: charging €4.95 for 0.75 liters of tap water with the wines. At home, 1,000 liters costs €2.20 including tax. A nice margin.

We had a great meal with a group of eight. The restaurant was larger than I expected. We were welcomed by friendly staff with a delicious amuse-bouche of potato salad. Drink orders were taken promptly. After that, the service slowed down somewhat. We were seated for quite a while. In our opinion, there was a bit too much time between courses; more staff might have been a solution. The dishes were well-prepared and of sufficient size. With a starter, main course, and dessert, you'll go home satisfied.

To round off a lovely day, we thought we'd have a nice meal at De 3 Zussen. But what a disappointment! We ordered chicken satay, but it was still half raw. You could get sick from it! We mentioned it to the staff, who were very kind. Eventually, they served a new chicken satay that was slightly better, and we got our drinks on the house. But we'll never eat there again!

Nice atmospheric tent, cozy and delicious food!

One word: disappointing. A very fancy place, packed, so we thought: this must be good! Unfortunately. The club sandwich was nothing more than a brown bread that looked like it came straight from the supermarket, and definitely not sourdough bread as promised on the menu. With a cold slice of chicken breast and no bacon at all, as the menu stated. The fries were lukewarm. The sandwich I had at Hema yesterday was even more noteworthy! Definitely not recommended.

The restaurant was good but the food was not warm

Used to be called La Montagne. A very nice little restaurant. Reservations are recommended. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was cozy, though a bit dark. It was packed on a weekday, which is a good sign. Parking is limited. Update: The terrace is lovely in the sun. I ordered a shawarma baguette. It tasted good, but it was too much. The service is fantastic. I got a wine cooler (after asking) with my Duvel to keep it nice and cold. It's fantastic here. Update: I had a tuna sandwich today. AMAZING! And for that price. We've never had anything like it before. Update: Easy parking across the street! It remains a great location.

Large shop on the outskirts of Veenendaal. Perfect for a cup of coffee, fresh juice, etc. I had a business meeting and found a great place to discuss things. The staff was friendly and attentive.

Unfortunately, I left hungry after 40 minutes because "lunch hadn't arrived properly." Mistakes happen. But just after 15 minutes, checking if everything was okay, or after an incorrect order threatened to be delivered, checking what our table had actually ordered, proved to be too high an expectation! We went home without lunch and with one illusion ruined...

Nice restaurant, suitable for groups. The food was good, but the staff was friendly but not very attentive to the customers. We were a group of 14, and when we wanted a drink, they forgot several people. We had to search for the staff, who then stood there chatting in a group. What a shame!

It's always pleasantly busy, so you might have to wait a bit to order. But when you do get it, the food is good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's close to the forest, so it's a great place to relax after a nice walk or as a stopover on a bike ride.

I'm split between two. Great ambiance. Very modern and comfortably furnished restaurant. Staff attentive and very friendly. Very good selection of drinks, good selection of food. I wasn't impressed with the taste of our chosen dishes. I had the satay chicken skewer and my companion had the vegetable curry. The curry was a relatively large portion but also very dry. The vegetables were very overcooked and no longer crispy. The satay skewer, on the other hand, was drowned in sauce, which was very thick and unfortunately not very tasty. What was very tasty, however, were the fries and the bread with dip.

The restaurant's decor is lovely. We were assigned a table next to the window. It was fine, except for the white spots on the curtain and the wall. The parking lot lamp also shone in our eyes without any ambiance. Unfortunately, the food and drinks also fell short of expectations. We had gyoza as a starter, which was very good. But the main course, Trio 3 Sisters, lacked much potential. The pork tenderloin and chicken thighs with the sauce weren't the best combination; the steak with pepper sauce, on the other hand, was quite good. The mojito, however, was also weak and poorly stirred, with a thick layer of sugar still present.

Friend brought us to be there, many sets inside and outside, deco is pretty, then we ordered drinks and food. All are delicious to eat. Very good choose!

My partner and I had a great experience at De 3 zusters tonight. "Reputable" is the first word that comes to mind. We received a friendly welcome; we could choose where we wanted to sit. We didn't experience any real waiting time. The food was excellent, from the tasting menu to the sorbet. Our orders were always repeated correctly, and the staff paid a lot of attention. Sometimes a little too much: with our main course, three people came to ask if we enjoyed it. 🙂 The iced coffee is also highly recommended. 😋

This decor is totally my style, both inside and out. It's a beautiful location, and our lunch was also delicious. So, 5 stars for everything. I'll definitely go back for dinner.

Last Saturday, we had dinner with Grandma, who had just turned 90. The welcome was warm and welcoming. Drinks were served quickly, but it took a while before everyone had theirs. One person even had to ask where her drink was, but after an apology, it finally arrived. The food arrived fairly quickly and almost all at the same time. Except for one person, it just didn't arrive. Even after reporting it a few times, they told us it was chaotic in the kitchen and they were working on it. All in all, it took half an hour for the person to get their food. Meanwhile, everyone else had already finished, and even there, a few meals were undercooked and okay. Some warm fries were supposed to be brought, but we didn't see those either. A round of drinks was deducted from the bill. And with dessert, everything went well, by the way.

We had a delicious meal tonight. The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was also exceptionally delicious. We will definitely be back.

We were there with a large group for dinner, having made reservations weeks in advance. On the day itself, it was all "difficult, difficult" due to low staffing. The manager, whose name I'm not allowed to mention, shrugged nonchalantly upon arrival and would have preferred us to leave. We did stay for dinner, unfortunately, but not every dish was equally good. DO NOT order the risotto. Unlike the manager, who didn't show up all evening, the young staff were extremely friendly and helpful – they were fantastic!

What a disappointment this was during our vacation. I ordered creamy risotto, but what I got was incredibly dry. The hamburger was also "hard" and overcooked. The staff did mention it, and we got our drinks free. Never again!

We were initially satisfied with the 3 Zussen, but lately it seems to be getting worse. There are ingredients missing from the food you order. When you ask them to put a snotty egg on it, they put a snotty egg on it. It all works out in the end, but it used to be better.

We went on Monday. We had a delicious meal as a group. The food was truly excellent! We think the service could come around a bit more often. We ordered fries or a drink, but we went home with a full stomach. — Update 1 year later: We think it's gone downhill. The service is no longer as friendly. My colleague wanted an iced tea and ordered: "Same thing," and the response was, "Just say what you want, that's much easier." If you want lunch, allow about an hour and a half. It all takes a bit long.

Never had such a bad uitsmijter, asked for brown bread, got white bread so old you couldn't cut through it!!!

The first and last time. Reserved for 11 people. Served for 10. 3 1/2 hours for a starter and main course. We went elsewhere for dessert…. 2 people didn’t get a starter at all, even though it was ordered and asked for several times. Bread board of €6 consists of 2 chunks of bread with 2 mini bowls of sauce (or something?) asked 3 times if we could please get something to drink! Drinks incomplete so we just shared a little with each other. Tasting (starter) of €18 consists of 50% lettuce, cup of lukewarm tomato soup handful of shrimps and bowl (10 cm diam) carpaccio piece of fish of which I couldn’t make out what kind. Main course served in 3 parts so that the first ones had already finished their plate while others just got it. Nothing really warm! In short: very poor quality food, poor organization from the kitchen, cheerful and willing waitress, who also did not know anything anymore. And as compensation ………. We did not have to pay for a bottle of still water (I suspect from the tap)…. Never seen me here again (although we had to pay 45,- pp without desserts)

My 8 year old son says: I had a grilled cheese sandwich and the ham and cheese were very tasty. Mom's food looked delicious too. I'll have that next time. (Extra carpaccio) The food came quickly and she was very nice. It's nice and quiet, relaxed and I like the fish. We sat at a table with hanging chairs. Nice swinging 😄

After returning from vacation, I immediately got a soft serve ice cream. I knew they were renovating because as soon as the sun came out in spring, every cyclist (recreational, mountain biker), hiker, and runner made a stop for their famous soft serve ice cream. Now they've expanded to offer a variety of flavors, and what's also important, you can sit outside to enjoy all that deliciousness.

Hier geweest voor een lunch. Het zag er mooi uit, zowel het restaurant als de serre. Wel is het dan jammer dat er verschillende lekkages in de serre zijn. Broodjes waren lekker en vulden goed. Bediening was vooral veel aan het hangen. En dat terwijl mijn drankje wel een kwartier op zich liet wachten. Een gemiste kans.

We had to wait a long time for our food. We didn't all get our food at the same time, or we didn't get the right food. It wasn't very warm either. The side dishes arrived after the main course was finished. The dessert was delicious.

What a wonderful experience it was to have lunch at De Drie Zussen! I enjoyed a truly excellent and luxurious omelette. The atmosphere was also very cosy and snug, beautifully situated in a wooded area. This is truly a fantastic place to have lunch in peace and to completely relax. An absolute must!

The terrace at the ice cream parlor is not accessible for wheelchair users. The curb is much too high to reach. It's a real shame.

We had a great meal. Friendly staff. Only a pity that we had to wait a long time for our food. It was compensated by offering us a dessert on the house. Very friendly. But when we want to order something again, we have to wait for an employee. So we spoke to someone ourselves. We'll be with you soon. But unfortunately, we didn't see anyone again. So we had to pay. When we paid, we saw a group of already friendly colleagues chatting and having fun together. But no service. Apparently the large group inside got more priority...!!!! Fortunately, we had a nice evening, but from now on, pay more attention to your guests. You have certainly created an aftertaste in this way.

Met een vriendin spontaan avondeten. Wat meteen opvalt is het jonge personeel wat er rondloopt. Bediening is goed. Beiden hadden we Asperge soep vooraf en als hoofdgerecht Risotto besteld. De soep was matig, deze was waterig en asperges die erin zaten waren overkookt. De Risotto was niet romig, zoals de menukaart weergaf, eerder een plakkerige rijst met kruiden. De groene asperges en de Parmezaanse kaas ontbraken. Dus we stuurde het gerecht terug. De kok zei dat er geen groene asperges bij hoorden, maar het stond wel op de kaart! We kregen een nieuwe portie en de groene asperges waren doorgekookt, Parmezaanse kaas moest je zoeken en de kok liet via de jonge serveerster weten dat de Risotto prima in orde was. (We kregen dezelfde plakkerige rijst ) Dus voor de eerste keer een erge tegenvaller, prijs kwaliteit is helemaal zoek. Service is ver te zoeken. Hier gaan we dus nooit meer heen.

It was already very full, but they took extra time to find us a spot and provide delicious food. After two years, we returned with the camper and had a wonderful dinner after a good night's sleep and a delicious breakfast. I hope to come back here again soon.

Unfortunately had to wait half an hour for lunch, it was very busy. But we did eat deliciously 😋😋

Tijdens een fietstochtje met Moederdag gestopt bij de 3 Zussen.´ voor een hopelijk snelle lunch. De zaak zat goed vol maar we konden nog een tafeltje krijgen op het terras. So far so good. Vervolgens werden we zeker 20 minuten genegeerd voor onze drankjes werden opgenomen. Ik vroeg om de menukaart maar deze werd niet gebracht. Weer 20 minuten later hadden we eindelijk de drankjes, nogmaals om de menukaart gevraagd en die kwam dan toch na weer 5 minuten. Ik was inmiddels behoorlijk chagrijnig, als ik honger heb verander ik in Joan Collins. Gelukkig kwam het eten daarna vrij snel en dat was prima. Kroketten op brood, goed heet, en lekker wat salade met goede dressing erbij. De uitsmijter van mijn partner was ook naar wens. In de basis is de 3 Zussen een goed restaurant, maar de bediening is jong en duidelijk onervaren. Ze klitten veel samen bij de balie maar moeten beter om zich heen kijken. Zoals overal is goed personeel ook hier een probleem. ..

Friendly service, nice setup, but next to a busy road. As we sat just outside on the terrace, we would recommend a table inside if you want a more quiet experience. The goat cheese salads were delightful, but when served, the bread with it did not come with anything, though the menu stated it would be served with herbal butter. After having to ask a waitress about this, she returned with Aioli dip instead, apologizing and saying that the herbal butter was being made but could not be served yet. This left us with a somewhat unsatisfied feeling and good regular butter seemed to be more appropriate for said salad. Hence the 3 stars for food instead of four.

The DJ...we didn't know he was there. It's a shame when you're there with friends you don't talk to often and can't understand each other. I'll never go back.

We had dinner with friends at 3zussen on Friday night. We had a hard time talking to each other. There was a DJ!!! It's a shame that wasn't mentioned on the website and we weren't told when we arrived. Then we would have had a choice. It would have been mentioned on social media.😤 Great for young people, but not if you're going out for dinner with friends. Ingrid Hendriks

Too crowded, too much noise/loud music, too few staff. We waited an hour for our main course, and the fries arrived just as we were almost finished.

We were there for a party. It was well-organized, but the host wasn't wearing the right attire, while the rest of the staff were neatly dressed in their work uniforms. Still, it's a great place for a fun outing, dinner, or a simple cup of coffee after a nice walk in the woods.

What a disappointment! We went to dinner with six people last week. The table was set for seven, but the seventh place setting wasn't cleared. The staff apparently didn't know the difference between a Spanish platter and a cheese platter, because we were served dessert instead of a starter. The main course was lukewarm; we'd clearly waited too long before it was finally served. We were allowed to order again, but then it would take another hour… Such a shame, because it looked beautiful and tasted great, except for the temperature. Because it was getting late, we ordered coffee. After waiting half an hour, I complained at the cash register. In no time, five staff members were gathered around me. Oh, so they were there! Apparently, a drinks group of 20 people had priority over the restaurant and understood my frustration. They could keep the coffee, and we went home deeply disappointed. Never again…

We used to enjoy coming here, but tonight was the last time for a while. The food was fine, but the service... Slow, slower, slowest. After 40 minutes, we asked for the menu ourselves. Then we waited another 40 minutes for our food. The fries arrived after we'd already been eating. The sweet potato fries weren't brought, so we had to ask for them ourselves. Then we had to ask for the dessert menu ourselves when we were long done eating. Then we waited another long time for no one to come. We just left; these people just don't want you to order anything. The strange thing was that it wasn't even very busy, and we saw the staff standing at the bar a lot.

After half an hour, however, there was still nothing to eat, and I hadn't even been offered a sandwich or anything to ease the longer wait. When I pointed out to the staff again that it was taking a very long time, they were shocked; it turned out the kitchen still hadn't been working on it. The staff themselves hadn't realized that our table had been waiting for a long time. Only then was the manager called, who eventually resolved the issue with drinks and dessert. Food was on the table for fifteen minutes, but before that, there were a lot of missed opportunities. I was looking forward to this dinner, but I was very disappointed.

A technical service error was immediately and generously resolved. Compliments.

Poor service, unfortunately. Last weekend, we left after almost half an hour and no one came to our table to take our order. It's a shame, because I've had some good meals there over the years.
