Since we didn't eat or drink anything, I can't comment on that. The staff everywhere were incredibly friendly and helpful. Explanations were in German and very easy to understand. This museum is definitely worth a visit. It's a place you'll fondly remember.

A superlative museum for maritime and technology enthusiasts. Visitors of all ages will find something to enjoy here. The highlight is the submarine, complete with hands-on exhibits and interactive displays. The staff deserves high praise for their friendliness! The restaurant offers excellent food. An absolute must-see for visitors stopping in Den Helder.

My pizza had a plastic bag baked inside, some items weren't delivered, and the pizza was truly inedible (even before I found the plastic in it :) )

Willemsoord 52AAThought I'd give it another try. I probably shouldn't have. Everything was cold and still inedible. Also, those mini sauce containers they dare to charge for. Definitely not for me anymore.
