Restaurant Mász in Schijndel

We'd been planning to eat here for a while, but in hindsight, we should have gone sooner. (We loved it so much.) We had a fantastic evening (5 courses) with delicious food, prepared with great care and lots of variety. A great concept! They're run by a fun, young, and enthusiastic team. We were impressed that the staff remembers what they serve and what it's made of.👌🏼 We'll definitely be back.

Tonight we had a delicious 6-course dinner with matching wine. Delicious food, the wine was introduced with great passion by a 1st year student. With the starter I stated that I had stated when making the reservation that I did not like fish. This was acted upon quickly and an adapted sign was delivered in no time. Great service, great food and wine!

In one word great, when I was told that they did a lot with youth I had to experience it all first but the result was unprecedentedly good. The youth who work there are so motivated and so neat and friendly that you can just relax and eat and that is of course what we came for this was great!

Highly recommended! Nice concept with the chef's choice. We made a reservation on a Sunday evening and it was pleasantly busy. We went for the 5 courses, which is €70 p.p. It seems expensive at first, but it is more than worth it. In addition, we drank a delicious aperitif of cava with liquor 43. There is a cozy and friendly atmosphere and all dishes are beautifully described with what the ingredients are. You can also opt for an accompanying wine arrangement. We didn't do this. We did ask for the matching wine for 2 dishes and they were very tasty. The menu consisted of an amuse, plenty of bread with some tasty spreads. A dish with sirloin steak, scallop, tuna tataki with pasta, bavette and the sweet dessert. Here we also had the choice to go for a cheese board. Final bill: €180.50. So if you want to eat delicious food, this is definitely recommended!

Yesterday we ate at Masz for the first time with 4 people. 6 course menu with wine pairing. Good welcome, nice table with a good seat, and of course good service from young staff who did their best to ensure that everything went smoothly and good explanations for each dish and the wine. The dishes were superb and the matching wines were well chosen. It was pleasantly busy, the atmosphere was good, also among the staff. Recommended.

We made a reservation at this restaurant a while back and called the afternoon before we came for dinner to ask if we could also have a table outside due to... the nice weather. This was not a problem and was added to the reservation. Once we arrived we were assigned a table, every table was set, both inside and outside. Except for the table where we sat. Reported this and they came to set the table, but this only happened when the amuse was placed on the table. When making the reservation, we communicated that 1 person did not want fish, and communicated this again when taking the order. Unfortunately, a dish with fish came after all. Could happen, but my hot dish was not taken. We had to wait a very long time for the dish (+/- 20 minutes) so we had run out of wine in the meantime (matching wine arrangement), this could be refilled (1 glass was still half full but was also refilled with a few sips) and afterwards this was twice on the bill... I don't mind paying extra for something I order, but paying extra due to an error by the restaurant doesn't seem appropriate to me We also had a cork in the wine once, that can of course happen, but it also took a very long time before someone came to our table and the wine was poured again. It was only two tables inside and some tables outside, not busy. The various wines that were served were tasty, but does this go well with both fish and meat dishes? A creamy white wine or a fresh, light wine does not go well with fish and meat. Anyway. Furthermore, the food was delicious. Not worth repeating in terms of price / quality

MASZ is really a winner when it comes to attention. You notice it as soon as you walk in. And it doesn't stop when you leave - they even ran after me because I left my glasses behind! Their concept is simple but good: you choose 3 to 6 courses and be surprised. And honestly, for what you get, the price is absolutely fine. Extra points for the wine 🥂They really serve all kinds of things, even from countries you wouldn't normally think of. For example, we had white wine from Belgium and Austria. Later in the evening a delicious Ribera del Duero and a Madeira with the cheese. My table companions drank a sweet Chenin Blanc from the Loire with dessert. All in all it was just a great night out. Beautiful surroundings. Excellent service and the food is delicious. A new menu every month and the chef decides what you get. So if you want to choose, you shouldn't be here. We had 4 courses, a few glasses of wine and that quickly adds up to 100 euros per person. The quality is very good.

Yesterday we enjoyed the extensive 6-course menu at Mász. It was delicious food, of a high standard and with a nice atmosphere in a beautiful restaurant. Recommended!

Masz's concept is simple: the chef determines the menu. so no stress of choice. We like the ambiance with a clear view of the kitchen and it is not too loud. The service is sometimes very inexperienced, but very nice and eager to learn. The appetizers were very tasty. The starter was tasty and very fresh and great to start a multi-course menu. I personally thought that the wine did not suit it (but that is of course very subjective). Our desserts were very tasty. Unfortunately, the main course was not good: the meat was overcooked and therefore tough, dry and difficult to cut. Given the price level and previous positive experiences in Masz, this should not happen. And that makes a good assessment difficult.

Het bezoek aan dit fine dining restaurant was een onvergetelijke ervaring. Vanaf het moment dat we binnenkwamen tot aan het dessert, was elke gang een culinair avontuur. De chef had een uitmuntend menu samengesteld dat zowel innovatief als verrukkelijk was. De bijpassende wijnen versterkten de smaken van elk gerecht en voegden een extra laag toe aan de eetervaring. Wat echt opviel, was de service; attent, professioneel, en met een persoonlijke touch die je zelden tegenkomt. Dit restaurant overtreft de verwachtingen en zet de standaard voor wat fine dining moet zijn. Een absolute aanrader.

Definitely recommended to eat here. It is a wonderful evening out with a nice surprising concept. Cozy atmosphere with young but very knowledgeable staff. And the food is of high quality. In short, highly recommended!

Mooie zaak met fijne bediening, wij hadden het 5 gangen chef menu. Verassende smaken en erg lekkere voorgerechten. Hoofdgerecht was een kleine beetje tegenvaller. Dit komt vooral door de prima voorgerechten. Manager nam het erg sportief op en we kregen zelfs nog iets extra’s bij de koffie. Kortom prima beleving. Is wel een grote zaak met veel couverts dus echt knus is het niet. Al met al prima restaurant en een aanwinst voor Schijndel

Lekkeerr gegeten. Het was alleen heel rumoerig in het restaurant.

Het is altijd weer ontzettend genieten van de culinaire verrassingen met bijpassende wijnen!

Lekker, maar niet heel bijzonder, wat mij betreft zeker niet voor de prijs. Het hoorntje van de amuse kwam volgens mij gewoon uit de fabriek. Het hoofdgerecht is puur vlees. Een mooi stuk, dat zeker. Maar het mist echt wat verfijning en passende garnituur. Dat zou het bord ook aantrekkelijker maken. Het toetje vond ik niet bijzonder, smaak paste wel bij het seizoen. Taartje/mousse met vijg, saus van rode wijn en ijs van steranijs.

Lekker gegeten, mooie gerechten, hoofdgerecht iets wat somber. De bediening is perfect, vol passie en humor. Restaurant is iets wat rumoerig. Een aanrader voor een gezellig avond uit.

Een goed restaurant met verassend lekkere gerechten. Een goede wijn/eten keuze met prima toelichting. Het personeel is echt top en maakt het verschil. Masz heeft het goed voor elkaar, complimenten. Prijs kwaliteit is ook goed. Wij komen er zeker terug.

Een gastvrij welkom in een mooi restaurant. Zelfbedachte heerlijke gerechten met bijpassende wijnen. Wel wat duurder, maar dat is het zeker waard. We hebben genoten!

Sfeervolle tent met super attent, jong personeel. Wij hadden het 6 gangen jubileummenu en elke gang was uitzonderlijk goed. Zelfs gerechten met ingrediënten die ik normaal niet lekker vind vielen in de smaak. Er wordt bovendien goed geluisterd naar wensen en verzoeken. Het is wat aan de prijs voor ons maar voor de actieprijs die wij hadden zou ik zo terug komen.

Heerlijk vijf gangen diner. Mooie smaken en combinaties. Ook het wijnarrangement was zorgvuldig gekozen. Het was een mooie zomeravond. We zijn buiten begonnen met aperitief en amuse. Het diner verder binnen en na afloop buiten de koffie en thee. Erg goede tafeldame!

Op uitnodiging van dochter en schoonzoon gegeten en gedronken bij Masz. Een fijne sfeer, goed eten en leuke medewerkers.

This Easter weekend all restaurants in Schijndel were closed because of a festival nearby . Except this one. Well, turned out to be an evening filling surprise diner party. With every course lovely creative dishes and wines of quality. And last but not least a very friendly helping staff with high standard service at this etablishment. Can say no more...

Heerlijk gegeten. Veel mensen weten echter niet dat je er ook heerlijk kunt lunchen dus was niet gezellig druk.

Gezellig restaurant met heerlijk eten,fijne sfeer en top personeel. Zijn hier nu een paar keer geweest maar ze gaan ons hier zeker vaker zien. Dikke aanrader!

Gisteren fantastisch gegeten. Top menu met super bediening. Enorm hoge kwaliteit!

Voortreffelijk gegeten. Echt heerlijk. Super gastheer. Lekkere wijnen er bij. Goed op elkaar afgestemd. Positieve vibe. Een echte aanrader.

Naar aanleiding van onderstaande review contact gehad met Thomas. Zijn passie zie je niet alleen in de gerechten, maar hoor je ook door de telefoon. Gisterenavond daarom met hetzelfde gezelschap ‘op herhaling’. Het team waar Thomas deze avond mee werkt is enthousiast en heeft humor. We herkennen een groot gedeelte van de medewerkers van de vorige keer, maar hebben deze keer andere mensen aan onze tafel. Ontzettend knap hoe Thijs en zijn vrouwelijke collega afstemmen op het gezelschap. Chapeau! Wijnen waren super gekozen en smaakten heerlijk (ook zonder direct een begeleidend gerecht). Wanneer je glas, tijdens het wachten op het volgende gerecht, leeg is wordt er bijgeschonken. Super, want Masz blijkt zeer populair, ook deze avond zit het helemaal vol. Avondvullend gegeten. Onze conclusie na deze avond, bij Thomas eet je ‘out of the box’ het is verrassend en onderscheidend. Je ervaart een culturele reis van smaken en ingrediënten in een moderne, industriële omgeving. In combinatie met het enthousiasme van het team maakt het dat dit restaurant een volle waardering verdient. Het restaurant heeft alles om de volle waardering te krijgen. Wij hadden helaas een mindere ervaring dit keer. Kunde en gastvrijheid bij het personeel is wisselend. We hebben ons met 4 gangen laten verrassen, de heerlijke bites vooraf deden vermoeden dat het een culinaire avond ging worden. Wensen zijn door het vastgestelde menu lastig in te passen, maar worden wel meegenomen. Wijnen zijn zorgvuldig gekozen, maar hebben begeleiding nodig van het gerecht. Doordat de wijnen vroegtijdig worden ingeschonken missen deze in eerste instantie hun beleving. Gerechten laten even op zich wachten. Brood is te weinig voor 4 personen en wordt maar eenmalig geserveerd. Er is ook geen ruimte om bij te vragen want de bordjes worden vlot weggehaald. Zonde want de olie en boter zijn heerlijk. Voorgerecht top, tussengerecht heerlijk maar te klein voor de hoeveelheid wijn die was ingeschonken. Het ontbreken van deze combinatie deed afbreuk aan de wijn. Het hoofdgerecht was slecht, signaal over de malsheid van het vlees werd niet opgepakt. Bord schaars gevuld. Vlees was echt taai en veel te doorbakken, dit hoorde zo werd aangegeven. We hebben het uit beleefdheid (deels) opgegeten. Vlees is gedeeltelijk terug gegaan naar de keuken met de mededeling dat dit met de chef zou worden besproken. Het antwoord is helaas uitgebleven. Ook bij een andere tafel ging het vlees terug. Het was fijn geweest als er een terugkoppeling was geweest naar de klant. Zoete nagerecht was heerlijk, kaas was prima. Kortom een wisselende ervaring en zeker niet voor alle tafelgasten een voldaan gevoel. Het eten heeft gelukkig geen afbreuk gedaan aan de gezelligheid. Uiteindelijk ruim 100,- per persoon betaald.

Enorm verrassend! Het 4 gangen chefs menu met wijn arrangement voor de lunch gekozen.

Masz verdient echt meer... dan 2 gasten op een zondagmiddag. Dat hebben we overigens snel positief omgedraaid naar " private dining". De 4 gangen lunch was boven onze verwachting. Prettige sfeer, goede bediening en bovenal heerlijke gerechten. Voorgerecht sprong er uit. Aanrader!
