Everything was fine but the beef tenderloin I ordered was too dry and overcooked for a M/R

Had to wait a very long time for a cappuccino with something tasty. Very unfriendly lady helped us. Then it took a long time for the cappuccino to arrive. But it was brought by a friendly waiter. Made something right again. It's not my place. But it all looks very nice

Nice tent and good friendly service, even during a busy night like King's Night/Day. Had a small incident with the owner's sister on Friday. We briefly spoke on Saturday and felt welcome again. We would love to come back here and certainly more often. Asset for Lelystad.

Really disappointing. Small portions, ridiculously high prices and no atmosphere at all. It's like eating in a canteen, but for three times the price.

Rarely had such a disappointing experience. Food was cold when it came to the table and the service didn't seem interested at all. For these prices I really expected more. Not recommended.

I'm sitting inside with friends eating and drinking on King's Day, my buddy still has 1 coin left so he gets a beer outside, he's not allowed to come in with a beer, so they'll never see us here again.

Delicious dinner tonight. Everything you need. Service (Joran or Joram) very friendly and has a helicopter view👌🏼Very nice! I requested a sauce that was not on the menu and that was simply arranged. If that's not service. We combined it with the Agora theater. Super convenient, 2 minutes away, so we will definitely come back.

Great restaurant, looks great, delicious food and the staff is super friendly. And via the restaurant there is a quick passage to the cinema above.

Food good, service confusing. They don't know what they are doing. For example, order 5 x desert. 4x comes immediately and when the 4 are almost gone I have to ask where my desert is. Asked for the bill and there were drinks on it from another table. We were not the only ones where this happened. Apparently not a professional manager.

My friends and I were helped by Panteleimon........... What a disappointment! Very unfriendly to customers and so uninterested he is. Taking orders incorrectly or not listening! Then he takes an order from someone and then he walks away again while we were still ordering! You certainly don't keep the business running with this :(

Went away for an evening at Mr Lely on Saturday March 22. Upon arrival things went a bit smoothly, we were put in a corner by a non-Dutch speaking woman to wait (or for something else, we couldn't tell). After 10 minutes we approached a young man who helped us to a table. We went for some snacks and drinks, so we ordered a limocello spritzer and nachos ribs and chicken plate. The snacks were very tasty, just like the limocello spritzer 😉 The staff could do with some work on customer friendliness and looking at the customer when communicating (so that no wrong order occurs). That's really nice. Around 10 o'clock a lady came to sing, a pleasant surprise. The lady sang nicely and walked through the tent singing. This was good for the atmosphere!

On Saturday evening I had a nice drink with my daughters, but unfortunately a snack was cancelled. Waited 20 minutes, but we couldn't get an order taken. Then we left again. Now at home with wine and snacks.. Neighboring table, yes, that went on and on: friends of the wait staff. But it is nice to take every customer seriously.

Good food, slow uninterested service

Well I don't often post reviews but this time I did. I had a nice dinner with my sisters, we had something to eat there, the food was okay, not spectacular. I myself had a tropicana mocktail. Well, I really didn't like that one, so I just asked if I could swap it with the drink that I liked from my sister. That was fine and mind you I literally drank 2 sips of that tropicana.... And then the bill came... Is that tropicana mocktail still there even though I had "exchanged" it? I ask the lady who served us and paid why we have to pay for that. even though I didn't even put it on. She says: because we have now lost a mocktail since you have decided that you don't like it (in English btw) I don't think you will go bankrupt by throwing away 1 mocktail. Because you already throw away a lot I might as well drink that drink and it would still be worth my money.

Nice place but the rest is to forget. Stuff is really rude and don’t keep to much attention to the guest. Also beverages are really bed, starting from espresso, was totally water, then the Italian coffee also not well done, not warm and not tasty and payed 8,30€. Later I ask for a aperol with ginger ale and they bring me a strange cocktail that I left . Later I asked again for a Campari in a glass and ginger ale next to it , and they bring me a cocktail really bed when I asked for a pure Campari and ginger bootle. Also cocktail are not fresh and good , they are already made by a machine , the barman neither prepare them. Really bad experience and expensive place. Don’t recommend.

Update: it's nice that 'the owner' responds under my review and comes up with a suitable solution, but so far I haven't heard anything from them! Neatly and email sent to the email address they indicate, then also an email sent to the email address on the website. Apparently this restaurant just says that they want to solve it for you, but they don't want that at all! Had the shared dining Valentine's menu tonight. The quality of the food and the good company are unfortunately the only positive things I have to say about it. I understand that it is extra busy on days like this and that waiting times can be a bit longer, but for the service to be so poor... It took more than an hour between the main course and the starter. About 45 minutes after we had finished the main course, I asked when we could expect dessert, and by the way, the dirty plates had been on the table all that time. Empty glasses were not collected and if you wanted to order something you had to hope that someone walked by and you could call because they did not come to ask if everything was still to your liking. Plates were also very scarce this evening. With the starter we received 2 different plates 5 minutes after the food was placed on the table. We never received plates for the main course and we just started eating from the plates it was served on. Then the portions, for shared dining the portions were very small. The small portions were already noticeable for the starter and main course, but then dessert still had to come... After we had to share 1 salmon fillet, 1 small piece of steak and 2 prawns with the main course, oh yes, don't forget the 3 pieces of roasted vegetables and the fries that would never have come if I had not asked for them myself, we got 1 mini cheesecake and 1 scoop of ice cream for dessert. This too had to be shared. All in all it was poor food for a fairly high price. A price that I am quite willing to pay if the quantity and service are just good.

Great restaurant. Good meat menu. Sometimes the music is so loud that you can't talk properly. That's a shame.

Beautiful atmosphere for a bite to eat and a drink. Tastefully decorated.

After entering we were able to choose a seat ourselves. The menu was delivered quickly and so were the drinks. Then we had to wait a while before our lunch order was taken. The waitress walked past but looked straight ahead. Finally just called. After recording it took a very long time for the food to arrive and it became increasingly busy. We asked where it was and were told that everyone was waiting and she walked on again. Shortly afterwards the food arrived and it looked delicious. I had it for 12 hours. I started with the soup and it apparently came from the microwave because it was still cold in the middle. After mixing it became lukewarm but also turned out to be quite salty. Now the ham/cheese sandwich with fried egg. Unfortunately the egg was also cold. The taste was otherwise good. The croquette was fried too hard. Furthermore, the salad and mackerel salad were good. Because we still had an appointment and had to continue, we did not have the food heated up. The table companion's club Mr Lely also looked good, but the chicken was fried too hard. Seems like the kitchen couldn't handle the crowds well. Unfortunately.

We have been there for more than half an hour and have still not been helped despite employees walking past us several times and looking at us, music could also be a little better.

Nice tent, nice atmosphere, but as soon as the evening hours start (10 p.m.>) someone keeps tripping against the volume knob, making the music so loud that it becomes impossible to have a normal conversation. As long as no dance floor or something like that is created, I think it will remain a restaurant and not a club. I will order earplugs with my main course next time. Otherwise completely fine here.

We had a drink here! What a nice restaurant. Nicely received! Enjoying a cocktail... If we had known it was so nice here we would have stayed for dinner....

Nice big restaurant. Nice decoration and cozy despite the fact that the restaurant is very spacious. Friendly staff. Even though it was quite quiet, it took quite a while before they came to take an order. Food was decent. Not really great, but fine. We were 5 people, 3 of whom ordered a vegetarian main course. They also arrived with salads with pieces of meat in them (bacon or something). We sent these back and received other salads. Portions were quite large, by the way. I don't know if I will eat here again, but I think having a drink below would be fine. The wine tasted fine, by the way.

On Saturday after the movie I went to eat at Mr. Lely and I was in shock at how delicious the food was. It was still good for a while, but with the new menu for food and drinks, wow. The atmosphere is always pleasant, the food was perfect, nothing to complain about, very friendly staff. A plus point is the weather, especially on Fridays, there is always a nice sleet after 9:00 PM then you also have a live DJ and I didn't know about a Dutch evening on Saturday.

Potentially a nice concept, it also looks very nice, so in that respect it is an asset to Lelystad! ...But what ridiculous prices!! I really don't mind paying something for a nice, good lunch, but the prices they ask here do not fit the concept at all (nor does it fit the varying quality of the food). When they first opened the prices were still okay, but now... a shame! Potentially 5 stars now 2.5/3 (Edit) short response to yours. It is not entirely correct that the prices are in line with the market. I think it is important to take everything into account, including the place where you are (Lelystad, not Harderwijk). For example, look at Le Passage, they have been in Lelystad (close to you) for a long time, price-quality is right here...

Food is disappointing, price very high. The staff wants to do it right, but soup without a spoon really isn't possible! We often ask if everything is to your liking. The room is very large and high, not very cozy.

Best food I have had in the Netherlands so far. We had broodje biefstuk puntje and BBQ spareribs broodje. The meat was so tender and high quality and the caramelised onions with mushrooms😋 it was good experience. Highly recommended.

First time going to mr lely and we love it! Made a reservation, we had a good table, the food was great, the drinks, the music. Totally recomend if you want to have a amazing night in lelystad. Mr lely will see me often for sure!

Mister Lely is a beautiful and atmospheric restaurant. You can definitely go here for drinks and lunch. I find dinner disappointing. I have now eaten here twice in the evening and both times I was not enthusiastic. The first time, the meat was cold for 2 of the group (of 6) and we had to send it back to the kitchen, so the rest at the table was already ready when we got the food back warm and the second time I thought the food had little taste. to have. The vitello tonato was dry and tasteless, the steak was reasonable and the crème brule had a very strange taste (not as I know it). For dinner, I don't think the price-quality ratio is quite right. I do find the staff very friendly and the atmosphere certainly pleasant. I would definitely come back for lunch and a drink, but personally I would visit a different restaurant for dinner

The music is way too loud, too much bass. You cannot understand each other.

If you are wearing a cap because your hair is falling out due to chemotherapy, a security guard will tell you to take your cap off. With the European Championship still healthy and with a cap spent 300 euros without a problem. Never another nickel from me!!

Food is fine, service still has a lot to learn. Drinks are placed in one place and you have to push them to yourself. While taking a sip of a drink, you are asked whether you have finished eating, but there is still food on the plate. Very impatient. There is no interaction while taking the order, only looking at the tablet. I think the food is very good!

Food was good, service was not good.

Previously the food was always tasty and of good quality, until today, I ate a carpaccio that was really tasty. After this, as a main course, the BBQ chicken, 2 pieces of chicken were dry and well done, the other seemed to be cooked in salt. Our servant consulted with the kitchen and unfortunately they could 'do nothing', our servant who looked as if he felt sorry but did not offer compensation or anything like that. This was followed by dessert, which was excellent. Later that evening I had to spit everything out, I assume it was the chicken. Certainly not worth my money, and certainly not the quality as before.

Really disappointed that smoking is allowed on the terrace. That is discriminatory against non-smokers. The terrace is large enough to divide it. Written for 5 months and the problem is not solved yet. I find that very annoying

Ready-made meals from the supermarket seem to be reserved. Cheap quality food. Fries was completely burnt and comes in iron pipes which is not tasteful. Soup was mediocre. You have to serve appetizer sauces with cheap wooden spoons as if you were scooping ice cream, quite cheaply and the rolls are comparable to soft rolls from the supermarket. The dessert was not homemade but seems to come from a package arrived, half of which was still frozen. Shrimp croquettes cannot be called shrimp croquettes, they look like bitterballen and they taste just like potato croquettes, of which you do not see any shrimp in the mixture on the inside, but they taste exactly like potato croquettes from the supermarket. Cajun chicken was mediocre to not fresh in taste. Very cheap quality and the food you order is not representative of what you should get.

Over the past two years, we have enjoyed the delicious lunch and dinner dishes as "regular" guests. There has recently been a new menu. What strikes us is that some dishes are not on the new menu and other dishes that are still on the menu have also become more expensive. However, our disappointment is greater that some favorite dishes, including those of many other guests, have been "reduced" Very sorry! For example, we find the Zuiderzee, which was also very popular among the other guests, more expensive and meager with a mackerel salad, 2 prawn croquettes and salmon. The delicious, unusual sauce and superfood Wakame has suddenly disappeared. In our experience, the presentation also appears sparse with the somewhat loosely added lettuce. With the croquette sandwich, the croquette does not resemble the previously used... A few weeks ago we were with a large group and had a great meal, ending with our regular dessert "I'm actually full". This became a deception for our group!!! Previously there was a separate container with eggnog and chocolate sauce so you could decide which sauce you wanted/didn't want, a bowl with crisps, vanilla ice cream and whipped cream. Now a glass with minimal amount of eggnog and chocolate sauce. Disadvantage: Ice cream stays much colder, quantity is less and you really miss the wonderful experience with the lawyer and chocolate sauce. Why change something that is successful. Even though the prices, by Lelystad standards, have become quite high, we would be willing to pay for this as long as the quality does not deteriorate. ???

Nice restaurant with cool decor and wide selection of drinks. We visited for lunch but the experience was pretty average (except when we asked for the bill - that came very quickly). Food and drinks were brought at different intervals meaning even longer waits for some. Some of the food arrived without us being told what or whose it was. In the surf and turf everything (which you'd expect to be served warm) was at a different temperature, Perhaps inexperience or lack of staff but it can be better. It's not all bad though - nothing was terrible and everything was tasty

On Saturday afternoon, September 14, 2024, during the LelySTART festival, I was able to DJ "Urban music" on the beautiful large stage "De Waag" of BTV events. What I noticed when I went to play was that the terrace of Restaurant Mr Lely was completely full! Afterwards I found out that good acquaintances were sitting there on the terrace when I joined them. What I noticed was quite a lot of service staff walking around, and they responded quickly, I approached someone from the service myself, and my Smartphone only had 1 percent. Radler tried to order beer failed, the battery was empty during payment, ultimately my acquaintances were willing to help. paid, I didn't have to wait long, even though I had already ordered, someone came by again within 5 minutes. I was really positive about this restaurant, I took a walk inside, it looks nice, it reminds me of the intersection of a disco and a large catering establishment in Almere, where I was able to DJ 20 years ago. Good atmosphere, nice menu, prices quite okay, saw someone had ordered some kind of meat menu with fireworks on a wooden board, very nice, and it looked delicious Best and most beautiful catering establishment in Lelystad, for sure! Definitely want to come back again! Restaurant Mr Lely gets five stars from me!

Good food, service requires a lot of effort. Many speak English and some are even a bit arrogant.

Tonight we are having dinner with a colleague. First day with new card. At first we wanted to order something from the menu because we saw that there were vegan options. The manager came to check with us whether everything was to our liking and I then asked whether the dish on the menu was really vegan, as it is sometimes confused with vegetarian. He investigated extensively whether this was actually the case, but came to the conclusion that I should not take this item because he was misinformed and it was not vegan. I was then immediately asked if I wanted anything else from the menu and I then asked for something that was not on the menu. Perhaps this could also be made. This was certainly no problem and soon afterwards a tasty meal arrived for me without animal products. Very nice that this restaurant takes allergies so seriously and thinks along with their customers! We will definitely visit this restaurant again on our next visit to Lelystad.

Had dinner with 4 people. The t-bone 2x was too tough and not tasty. Accompanying cutlery was missing. Cutlery received had several stains. Several customers exchanged cutlery. The amount of food was more than sufficient and looked well cared for. The waiting time for seat allocation was quite long for us. Staff looked but no one came. Quite a wait-and-see attitude. The service at our table changed regularly but was correct and friendly. After eating the starter and main course, the table was cleared but no one came to bring the menu or ask for dessert. Afterwards it was difficult to get in touch and we left. However, the checkout was quite quick. Restaurant looks new and neat. Music sometimes on the loud side. All in all, the quality and price ratio could have been better. 2 stars seems reasonable to me.

1-1-2024 We waited for over an hour until someone came by to ask what we wanted to eat. We were with a large group, once but never again. :-(

The food here is quite good and varied. The service was bad. As an example: After the main course, this menu is brought out. We then waited for at least 20 minutes before the order was taken. The service doesn't seem round or you're waving, active sales take place even less often. We drank the coffee at home after dinner because we didn't feel like having to attract so much attention and wait for a long time again. ==== Update June 16, 2024: Following my review above, the company contacted me stating that they had used my feedback to make improvements. I was invited to come and have a look again. I accepted that invitation and have found that the improvements are only noticeable to a limited extent. There is now more active sales, so that I was no longer thirsty. But upon entering I had to wait a long time for someone to show me a table, because the staff gave sorting cutlery more priority. We took the menu ourselves, because apparently this was too difficult for the staff. These are just a few examples where the staff did not give the customer the highest priority. Quite a nice place with good food, but you have to be patient if you eat here.

Beautiful restaurant, very good professional service that really makes it a party. Many people (including myself) keep wondering where the people who provided good service in the restaurants before corona have gone. Well, they started working here. The food was also absolutely great. Including the explanation given and the way of serving. Compliments to the young staff too, it is clear that they know what they are serving and what they are doing, we had Kaylee (I thought) as a waitress. Very friendly and calm young lady. Even upselling is done in a fun way that is not forced. We had the beef salad and the mr big plank. Everything prepared perfectly. Ended with a glass of meloncello that the company had imported from Venice. We will definitely come back here.

I am a person on a gluten-free diet. The first two times we had a great meal. But the last two times the food was not properly prepared gluten-free. Shame and dangerous.

Zuiderzee lunch, just not tasty and very sparsely filled, way too much salad. It is no longer the dish we are used to. Doesn't look like it and paid 14.50. That too. So I don't go there anymore.
