A lovely restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. We got a table without a reservation. Friendly staff. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. The price-performance ratio is good.

Nice covered and heated terrace. Great location. Opposite the Batavia Marina. Always something to see. If you want to use the toilet, you do need to be able to walk up the stairs.

The hamburgers were tasty. However the sauce, the oesterzwam and spare ribs were not impressive. The taste combinations and seasoning did not complement the meat. The kids enjoyed their burgers. The service was good.

I've been coming to the bar here for 3 days now. 4 beers and 2 gins. Very nice place and very good staff. See you again tomorrow...

What a terrible waitress. An older woman with a short, spiky haircut. Cannot handle work pressure at all and speaks to customers in a grumpy tone.. Had to wait 20 minutes for an apple juice and 2 other drinks.. and when you ask about it you are told: yeah it's super busy you just have to wait a bit.. and when ordering I changed my Coke Zero to Rivella and was told: Yeah, what do you want???... just rude.

A regular customer, the staff knows me. I am always treated well, and vice versa. The food, location, and service are worth coming back for.

That is exactly it. Something went wrong when our order was being taken. We are vegetarians and had ordered vegetarian. Suddenly we were given something else; when we pointed out that this was not our order, they acted as if it was our fault. That was really not a pleasant experience. I went to discuss this with the manager. An apology was nowhere to be found.

Fine restaurant. Good quality. 2 minor points. They don't have Coca-Cola, only Pepsi. And they don't have Affiligem Blond.

The food was okay. The burger buns were unfortunately much too dry. The ambiance wasn't anything special. The service was friendly, even though we arrived shortly before the kitchen closed.

This is the best reason(s) to go to Lelystad. We dined here with a group of 8 people and everyone was super enthusiastic about the taste and quality of the dishes. There is a chef at work here who visibly takes pleasure in surprising everyone with delicious and beautiful-looking dishes. The vegetarian dishes were also surprisingly tasty!

It all looks nice—the restaurant, the food, even the staff looks well-groomed—but... it is all a facade. The food is truly of a questionable standard: tough, overly salty meat, salads that aren't fresh, overcooked fish, and tasteless shrimp. The fries with mayo were the highlight of the meal; that does fit Lelystad, at least.

What a fantastic experience at De Rede van Bataviahaven! This is without a doubt one of the most beautiful locations where we have ever dined. The spaciousness, the ambiance, and the stunning decor make an immediate impression as soon as you enter. Everything is decorated with great taste and is among the most beautiful things we have ever seen in a restaurant. The food was also excellent, but what really stood out was the staff. Friendly, helpful, hospitable, and very professional. A level of service that has unfortunately become rare and is totally different from what we are often used to in the Randstad. The combination of the unique location, the great atmosphere, the delicious food, and the excellent service makes this restaurant highly recommended. Unfortunately, I cannot give 10 stars, because this place absolutely deserves it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟+ 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We will definitely be back! 😊🍽️🌊

You walk in and get no greeting. You ask for a hot meal at 4:00 PM, but she says it won't be served until after 5:00 PM. You ask what's in the meal, whether it's pork or not, and the answer you get is "it's on the menu." You ask what the sauce is, and she doesn't know herself. I ask because I'm not allowed to eat pork and have to drive, so I'm not allowed to drink alcohol either. Show a little respect and understanding; not everyone has to know kitchen jargon and eat what others can. Good luck.

Never take the “Chicken in Paratha” off the menu again; my goodness, it was so delicious! After just one Indian pancake, I was actually already full, but whoever saves something has something for the next day. For starters, we had the Pajerin di Capra, and that was delicious too. I will definitely be back!

This used to be a good place, but unfortunately, that is no longer the case. We were received poorly right from the start. The service was substandard: we were asked indifferently if anyone wanted a drink, without any smile or hospitality. The food was also disappointing. The carpaccio was far too salty, the chicken satay was served cold, and the cheesecake looked stale and was inedible. Additionally, the bitter lemon was simply sold out. The service also left much to be desired. Coffee was served over the guests, and when clearing the tables, the crockery was practically snatched right out from under our noses. For us, that was reason enough not to return here. It is a shame, because it used to be a nice place.

Does not taste good at all! We had three dishes for lunch: smashed avocado egg, Capriccio salad, and and De Rede lunchplank. All are very disappointing bad, especially the smashed avocado egg, the taste is just disgusting. Felt sick afterwards. Cutlery is not clean either, and coffee is very mediocre. Won’t recommend.

I don't understand where all the 1-star reviews come from. I was back in Lelystad for the first time in 15 years and ended up here by chance for lunch. The food was very tasty and was served quickly, prices are reasonable, and the coffee is good. Lelystad is certainly not a gem, but if you happen to find yourself there, this is definitely a good place to plan your escape route.

The reason I don't come here anymore is because I wanted to guzzle beer full throttle, but that wasn't allowed. They even stuck their tongues out at me. So, once is enough, never again.

On the second visit, I was refused entry. My assistance dog was visibly wearing his purple KNGF Guide Dogs vest, and the employee wanted me to prove that it was indeed an assistance dog. Firstly, showing the KNGF pass is not mandatory and has no legal value whatsoever. Secondly, there could be no doubt that this was not an assistance dog. I became angry because of this treatment (I have post-traumatic stress disorder and that is why I have the assistance dog) as a third-class citizen, and I left after making this known. The employee came up with a lame excuse about people with ordinary dogs. Refusal amounts to discrimination on the grounds of disability. I am considering filing a police report. The first visit was no problem at all, hence the consideration.

We visited "De Rede Van Bataviahaven" for the first time. It was an awesome experience! Great dishes! The food was presented perfectly and tasted like you don't want the plate ever to be empty! Excellent service by very friendly and charming waitresses. Very inviting atmosphere with beautiful view to the port. If I come back to Lelystad one day, this is the address I'd like to have my meal!

It was busy and not everything was perfect, but it was definitely a clean restaurant that makes you feel at home! Definitely recommended if you want a relaxed date with your girlfriend!

It used to be a great place. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly! The older woman with short hair who took my order today was incredibly angry, curt, and incredibly loud when she went to take it and started announcing my allergies loudly! The whole restaurant had to know about it! The young man who cleared our table was no exception! He couldn't wait for us to finish eating and snatched our plates from under us, even though I had told him we weren't finished yet 😅 My daughter was shocked by the waiters' rude behavior and never wanted to go there again. It was probably our fault! If you're of color and want something tasty, I recommend eating somewhere else. There are plenty of places where people treat you normally! #unbelievable!

We had a wonderful meal at your place for our 23rd wedding anniversary. The service was very friendly, the food delicious (especially the appetizer, the mackerel was outstanding), and one of the chefs gave us a beautiful bouquet of flowers. After dinner, we chatted at the bar. We had a wonderful evening!

I've lived in Lelystad my whole life, and I've honestly never experienced this before. What terrible service. I wanted to have tea with a friend in the evening. She had her dog with her, so I politely asked if we could sit outside. Instead of a normal welcome, we were met with, "Uh, can you close the door?" in a very passive-aggressive tone. We eventually sat outside, but it took quite a while for anyone to come, even though we were the only guests on the terrace. When we asked if the heaters could be turned on, we were told they couldn't because they were "too expensive." I think you buy heaters for your guests, or am I mistaken? All in all, we found the staff very rude and unfriendly. We were truly surprised. The lady who brought us tea was thankfully friendly, but if it hadn't been raining, we would have left immediately.

We ordered two club sandwiches today, and they didn't resemble a club sandwich at all. They were two toasted sandwiches stacked on top of each other with a bit of bacon and a half-cooked egg on top. The toasted sandwiches were inedible. They resembled pre-packaged, factory-made, spongy, white, sticky bread. So we didn't eat them. We then mentioned it to the waitress, but she dismissed the complaint by saying that lots of people order this, so it must be good. Then she brought the €39 bill with a big smile. Well, it's okay if the food isn't good, but if the staff doesn't take you seriously, it's not good. We quietly paid but see no reason to return.

Unfortunately, this time it was a disappointment... the food (stew) was served ice cold. After taking one bite, the taste was immediately gone. I did receive a new, warm one, but it felt mass-produced. The fries were greasy and not crispy. I'm not used to this kind of food. I won't be going back for dinner anytime soon.

It was fantastic! The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasantly busy, even though it was a Tuesday. The service was excellent.

We sat on the covered patio because we had our puppy with us. The temperature was bearable, but later in the evening the wind picked up and it got quite cold. We were given blankets and there was a small heater. Actually, I can only comment on the spare ribs. They were so disappointing! They were beautifully presented, with sauces and fries, but when I took the first bite, I thought, "What is this?" It felt like it wasn't cooked through at all, so I even sent it back, asking if they were sure it was cooked. The meat was still far too red and seemed to have several layers. White on top, then red, and brown on the inside. And the top was so tender you could almost suck it in, and then suddenly a hard piece in the middle. I also didn't like the marinade on the ribs at all, but that's probably a matter of taste. I also thought the prawn crackers/cassava were a bit of an odd combination with the ribs. I didn't eat them because I really didn't like them. It's a shame because the rest of the food looked delicious. I would definitely return because it's a nice place and the guy who served us was very attentive. But if I do go back, I'll definitely order something else :)

The burger is terrible. The Lidl burger is even better. The service is terrible. I received €5 too little change. I complained and was given €5 back, and the response, "Here you go, man," was no apology, nothing. A very bad experience.

Good afternoon dear review readers, Last 9/11, I sat down at De Rede van Bataviahaven for the first time in my life (54 years already!). I gave the food one star (perhaps a bit unfairly, haha), because I didn't eat anything. The menu, however, looked delicious. The woman with gray hair and blue eyeshadow definitely needs a substantial raise ASAP. I really enjoyed her playful humor. I would have given the atmosphere 5 stars, if not for the fact that it was quite cozy in my seat before I sat down (I mean, there were crumbs on it, you know). All in all, a great experience at De Rede van Bataviahaven.

It's wonderful to walk in here, even if you're alone. Extremely friendly service and a very pleasant atmosphere. I was surprised by the staff's recommendation for what to eat... fish paella, fantastically delicious. Definitely worth a return visit.

Heads-up for someone who is driving: the special coffee contains strong alcohol without being explicitly labeled. This almost made me unable to drive. Also, no price was indicated. The manager explained that a droplet with "0%" means zero alcohol, although no alcohol-related label was involved, and anything without the label should be automatically considered alcoholic. Good for him. If you are not smart enough to ask whether a coffee contains alcohol I don't suggest you to come here to eat. And the quality of food definitely didn't match its price.

We chose this restaurant because of the high prices and hoped to get above-average Dutch food. Unfortunately, it didn't work out. The schnitzel was unfortunately deep-fried. Okay, that's how it is in Holland these days. The Champion sauce was like a packet, and the 19 fries (very small) were soaked in grease. Apparently, there had been fish in the fryer beforehand. With a final price of over €60 for just two people, it was a real disappointment. We left hungry. When we asked, we were told that we could have a larger portion. For even more money, of course. What a shame.

A lovely restaurant near Batavia Harbor that serves both lunch and dinner. We had dinner, a starter, and a main course, and everything was delicious. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and efficient. The food was delicious, and the presentation of the plates deserves praise. The portions were just right. It didn't take very long for the food to arrive. All in all, we had a pleasant meal in a beautiful location.

A good restaurant with friendly and fast service. The restaurant is just a stone's throw from Bataviastad Fashion Outlet and situated on a beautiful harbor.

Lots of reviews, but in my opinion, overpriced. The neighborhood doesn't offer much. Some dishes can be ordered, some can't, even though they're available in the app (qrkodd). The order itself wasn't tasty, filled with onions. The restaurant itself is large and beautiful. Oh, and the coffee from the machine is just like at home. The milk for the cappuccino wasn't frothed by hand.

Today I had two tapas and a portion of kibbeling. The latter was absolutely DISGUSTING! With every bite I took, a gush of oil came out! And it was boiling hot too! At one point, I had to use my napkin to blot up the oil first. Absolutely worthless and not worth the money!

Today we decided to stop at De Rede in Batavia Haven while traveling, because what could be better than having lunch with a view of the water? It was pleasantly busy, but certainly not full – we could easily choose a table. Promising start! We immediately ordered something to drink and also wanted to pass on our food right away. The waitress said she would “be with us shortly”. However, “shortly” in this case turned out to mean more than half an hour. In the end we took the plunge and walked to the bar. Within five minutes the order was taken. If only we had known that earlier… It became a Rede Burger without cheese and an uitsmijter with bacon. Sounds simple, right? Unfortunately, bacon was suddenly not an option. Strange, because it was simply stated on other dishes. Fortunately, another colleague did understand that bacon on an uitsmijter is not rocket science, and dutifully passed this on. When the food finally arrived – after sitting there for about an hour – we got a Rede Burger with cheese and an uitsmijter without bacon. Well. That takes the fun out of it a bit. We politely paid for the drinks (incl. tip) and left without eating. There was a small apology, but a drink on the house would have been a bit tastier. Conclusion: beautiful location, but today the organization unfortunately missed the mark. No good reason to come back here for the time being... unless they get the menu and the clock under control a bit better. 😉
