Great ambience, great food and the service was great, we had a lot to laugh about

The food was very good and it's right next to the outlet. The inside is a beautiful old building, worth a visit.

Wij wilde met onze vrienden en kinderen reserveren. Toen wij belde en wilde reserveren voor 9 personen vroegen zei hoeveel kinderen erbij zaten. Het ging om 4 kinderen. Zij gaven aan deze reservering niet aan te nemen doordat er teveel kinderen bij zaten. Strepen we af van onze lijst in Lelystad

Spontaneously ate here last weekend. We received a very friendly welcome here. The staff was very sympathetic to us and did everything they could to make it as pleasant as possible, and they certainly succeeded! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very good. I would recommend everyone to eat here and I will definitely be a guest here several more times! This is a fantastic restaurant!

Because we had received a dinner voucher, we were looking for a restaurant nearby. When we made the reservation we already received a very sweet lady on the phone, so that boded well. The restaurant was easy to find and we received a warm welcome. It was quiet but the atmosphere was palpable everywhere. The waitress was incredibly sweet all evening and pretty much ran everything single-handedly. Nevertheless, we were very well looked after. The food was incredibly tasty and beautifully prepared. We had both before, main and after. The tournedos in their own gravy are highly recommended! A wonderfully quiet evening with finger-licking food and a great atmosphere. I can't wait for next time :)

This afternoon, we received a pleasant and hospitable welcome from Anneline. The charming atmosphere of De Cantine certainly contributed to this. It would be a wonderful addition if this location were included in the Open Monument Days, especially in the year in which Werkeiland celebrates its 75th anniversary.

Heerlijk gegeten! We waren hier voor het eerst. Veel restaurants bezocht in Lelystad maar er vallen er steeds meer af. Nu hier gegeten en het was echt top!

With just 5 stars it actually says enough. Friendly staff, a greeting from the owner when leaving, and much more. A real pleasure to be here. Maybe not the cheapest but totally worth it.

What a very nice restaurant. Spontaneously arrived with seven people and had a really delicious meal. Plates are beautifully made, affordable and very thoughtful towards the children. Recommended!

‘De vier bestuursmeisjes’, oud collega’s, gaan regelmatig samen eten. Dit keer bij de Cantine. Ontvangen door Yvonne, leuke tafel bij het raam toegewezen gekregen. Prachtig uitzicht op het IJsselmeer en de Bataviahaven. We hebben heerlijk gegeten, de bediening was prettig zodat een gezellige avond was gegarandeerd. Een échte aanrader dus! Lovely place right on the water. After a day at Marker Wadden, a very nice ending to sit there. This day the weather was nice and we could sit outside on the terrace. Service was good and fast.

Unfortunately we were deceived by the good reviews. The restaurant makes a very nice impression, but unfortunately there are far too few staff available in the evening. We waited over 90 minutes for something to eat and weren't even asked if we wanted something more to drink. In the end the lady who served us became abusive because I didn't like it. If you're looking forward to a nice evening and then you're served like that, you can't enjoy it. Yes, but of course you eat it without enjoyment. Food is average - nothing special. And - yes, we were informed after about 60 minutes that there were only two cooks, but why not directly when taking the order and as a guest do I have to accept this situation? In short: it was a big disappointment for us and I would advise everyone to ask how long it will take to be served.

Very cozy, cozy. They have retained the atmosphere of the old canteen on a work island. Excellent food. The fish here is not expensive to pay for, as it is in Kniertje. 👌👍

We were passing through on vacation and decided to eat here in the evening. And we were very excited. Very tasty and fresh food, well prepared. I had salmon which was cooked to perfection. The staff was also very friendly. The prices were fair for the good food. I can highly recommend it.

Used this location twice; for a birthday party and condolence. Both well cared for and the owner thinks along well to ensure that things run smoothly. Beautiful spacious location with an immediate cozy atmosphere for larger groups.

Cozy spot on the water, sitting outside in the sun. Inside was also very nice, nice atmosphere with nice old radio equipment.

Half hour waiting for the waitress to take us note withthe place almost empty... In the end we went and the waitress seems it doesn't care. Not recommended at all

Friendly and quick service. Children were given something to paint and the interaction with them was impeccable. Food very good, ambience inside better than outside, but probably due to the season. Definitely a visit and worth the money. Burger recommended! Sufficient parking spaces available. Card payment possible

What an atmosphere. Made a reservation for a nice dinner, but paid after the starter and looked for another restaurant. Not worth repeating.

I'm really disappointed. We went because of the good reviews, but they were completely different from our experience there. We both had the only citizen on the menu, my companion had the normal form and I had the vegetarian form. Supposedly my burger was even vegan, but I seriously doubted that while I was eating. I even had the feeling that I had something meaty in my mouth. I was shocked when I paid. It wasn't even close to the price we had charged, but was around €15 more, which then inspired me to ask. I got the explanation that vegan was much more expensive. However, there was nothing about the surcharge on the menu, which only showed this one burger. And a 15€ surcharge can't be right from start to finish. The burger itself cost €15. Pure fraud.

We didn't know what to expect when we pulled into the parking lot. It was a fluke as we were looking for a place to have lunch and drove past here. We had such a delicious meal here. Definitely recommended. I had the chicken sandwich and my girlfriend the Fish and Chips. Delicious. The service was also friendly and attentive.

Uriges Restaurant mit Blick aufs Wasser.Sehr gutes Essen zu vernünftigen Preisen und äußerst freundliche Bedingungen. Es wird auch Deutsch gesprochen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!!

Fantastisch gelegen, sehr gutes Essen und super Personal.

We hebben hier op het terras na een bezoek aan de Marker Wadden een uitstekende maaltijd genoten (1x gegrilde zalmfilet en 1x varkenshaas). Ook de service was er uitstekend. Een aanrader.

Mooi interieur, vriendelijke bediening, prima prijzen. Veel leuker om te lunchen dan op de Hiswa.

Spareribs zijn niet meer wat het geweest is, te veel zout. Niet meer zo lekker!

Hier kann ich sagen, wir sind aufgrund der vorhandenen Rezessionen ins Restaurant gegangen und können uns zu den Bewertungen nahtlos anschließen. Das Essen war super in ausreichender Menge und guter Qualität, der Service aufmerksam und freundlich.👌👍👌

Overheerlijk eten in stukje geschiedenis van de Flevopolder. Je wordt ontvangen door super lieve mensen, die je met veel passie verzorgen. Echt een aanrader. Het houten gebouw werd vroeger tijdens droog pompen van de polders achter de dijken gebruikt door voornamelijk de mannen die hier werkzaam waren. Eindelijk is de Cantine afgebroken, opgeslagen en uiteindelijk herbouwd op de plek waar het nu staat bij Batavia stad.

Als je lekker ongedwongen wilt eten ben je hier op de juiste plaats.

Nach einem schönen Ausflug zur Batavia haben wir hungrig hier ein gemütliches Restaurant gefunden. Sehr lecker und reichhaltig.

Na een lange dag varen een perfecte plek om bij te komen. Ongedwongen, gastvrij. Heerlijke vegan burger en prima bierkaart.

Heerlijke plek bij het terras, altijd heel vriendelijke bediening en het eten is heerlijk tegen vriendelijke prijsjes.

Alleen koffie gedronken, belachelijk duur en toen we dat kenbaar maakten kregen we een serieus chagrijnig antwoord. We hebben dus elders maar wat gegeten.

Sehr gutes Restaurant etwas unscheinbar und der Außenbereich hätte einmal eine Renovierung verdient. Dies würde sicher auch mehr Gäste animieren hier einzukehren. Hier wird der Gast freundlich von einem jungen Team empfangen. Die Speisen sind vielfältig, frisch, lecker und von der Portionsgröße sehr ausreichend. Die Preise stimmen. De Cantine ist ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant im Batavia Haven abseits der schicken Läden. Unbedingt hingehen!

Gezellig terras met een prachtig uitzicht. De bediening was beleefd en vriendelijk. De borrelhapjes waren heerlijk en uitgebreid, hier zijn de prijzen nog redelijk en betaalbaar. Waneer je in Lelystad bent en een gezellig terras zoekt dan kan ik dit restaurant van harte aanbevelen.

Von außen wenig einladend. Da der Parkplatz gut besucht war haben wir uns entschieden hineinzugehen. Sehr gute Entscheidung. Hervorragende Küche, sehr nettes Personal. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Vanmiddag lekker op het terras van De Cantine gezeten en een eenvoudige lunch genuttigd. In de zon en uit de wind. Goede en vriendelijke service. De curry soep was erg lekker.

Na een dagje Lelystad, wilde ik hier iets eten. Wat bleek: Het was erg duur, kwaliteit niet slecht, maar ook niet goed, en personeel ( bedrijfsleidster ) een grote ramp. Het personeel in dienst leek wel goede bedoelingen te hebben, maar werden tegengewerkt door de bedrijfsleidster. Ook was deze bedrijfsleidster de klanten aan het wegpesten. Het was me echt niet duidelijk wat zij nu eigenlijk wilde. Haar gedrag was niet alleen merkbaar bij mijn tafeltje, maar ook bij de andere tafels. Puur door haar gedrag ( maar ook de prijzen en de kwaliteit ) eindigde me dag met een grote deceptie.

Deze plek, lekker dicht bij de haven, is ruim van opzet. Ik wilde wat drinken, en een hapje eten. Ik schrok echter van de prijzen.... Ze hebben van alles. Echter, wat je ook zou kiezen, de prijzen liggen echt veel, maar dan ook veel hoger dan elders. Toevallig nog eerder deze week wezen uit eten geweest bij een Italiaans restaurant. Het bleek dat de pizza's bv. 2 x zo duur waren ( ik heb deze niet gehad, maar ze zullen zeker niet groter of beter geweest zijn dan bij de Italiaan ), Ook salades waren 1 ½ à 2 x duur dan elders. En dan heb ik het nog niet gehad over de overige gerechten; deze waren ook ongeveer 2 x zo duur als elders... Ik bleek een nieuw personeelslid te hebben die wel een warm welkom gaf en bij mij de bediening deed. Over deze dame niets dan lof. Ze was heerlijk ongedwongen, duidelijk dat ze het jou naar de zin wilde maken, en correct en beleefd. Ondanks dat ze van buitenlandse komaf was, sprak ze de Nederlandse taal naar behoren. De cheffin liep haar helaas zeer hinderlijk continu achterna, om te vragen of er geen verbeterpunten waren... ook al had ik aangegeven, dat als er in meer of mindere mate onvrede was, of dat ze iets niet zou begrijpen ik me wel zou melden. Ook daarbij gezegd, dat ik het vervelend vond, dat ze zo achterna werd gelopen, en ik daardoor niet rustig kon zitten.... M.a.w. zou de cheffin juist heel veel van haar nieuwe kracht kunnen leren i.p.v. omgekeerd. Wat ik kreeg was echter goed, maar de cheffin EN de prijzen zorgden voor een kater. Ik zou dan ook van ganser harte tegen de cheffin zeggen: 1. Ga normalere prijzen hanteren! 2. Luister naar je klanten. Als ze aangeven, dat ze gek worden, dat zij de bediening uit controle continu achterna loopt en jou hier gek mee maakt, moet ze daar mee STOPPEN!!!

Restaurant van binnen is niet zo heel veel aan, van de zomer heb je wel een heerlijk terras buiten, uitkijk op de oostvaardersdijk. Eten is prima, normale prijs. Zeker voor de zomer met mooi weer aan te bevelen, het restaurant zit vlak bij Bataviastad. Ook museum nieuw land zit vlak bij het restaurant Je kan dus een mooie combi maken voor een dagje uit.
