What a cozy and beautifully decorated spot for a meal or a cup of coffee. Plus point: your dog is allowed, even inside! Sweeping views from the terrace, a playground for the kids (where do you find that these days?) and beautiful walking routes that start at the spacious parking lot. (And an off-leash area for dogs halfway along the shortest route)

Waited almost 2 hours for food with small children, this because there were three large groups seated... please mention that it can take a long time, otherwise we would have left after the drinks. Staff very unfriendly towards the children and the food wasn't great and was pricey. Not coming back for us!

We stopped here for a light lunch during a bike tour. The Grolsch beer was pleasantly cold and the food was tasty.

Good place for a walk, nice personnel, good looking place, good food. But if you get there and the place is supposed to be open and there is no cars parked and there is no bicycles in front of it, just don't bother, the personal is there but they are not jet motivated enough and the cook has not jet arrived. which is fine but perhaps skip it till next time.

We came here with a larger group. Half the terrace was empty, so there was plenty of space. But according to a somewhat older woman who worked here, the tables could not be pushed together. The only option was a high table with 8 chairs, while there were 12 of us. Not hospitable at all, and the staff were stubborn.

The food is decent. The schnitzel is a bit soggy. It is a fairly large place, and also quite noisy due to the many tables and large groups. The staff is quick and friendly. Soft drinks are poured from large bottles into no small bottles.

It was tasty, but there was a long hair in the salad. That was a bit of a letdown, of course.

Our favorite is pancakes with bacon and apple.

Great restaurant for a day trip

In my opinion, this place is unsuitable for groups because they expect one person to pay for everyone; individual payments are not desired, and the friendliness vanished immediately when we asked if we could pay separately. We suggested we could agree on a table-based payment. We were a large group on an organized bike tour, and since almost everyone wanted to pay by card and very few had cash, it became very difficult to settle the bill afterward. We ended up splitting up an hour later—how are you supposed to manage that? So, I found that truly outrageous, and the other people agreed. We'll have fewer customers. If you can afford that kind of service these days, fine. The food and drinks were great, but that didn't make up for the low prices.

I want to start by talking about the staff; what a top-notch team! Attentive, friendly, witty, observant, efficient. I asked where the toilets were; I was already inside, and coming from the sunny outside, it was suddenly quite dark inside. I was a bit disoriented: ‘You’re doing well, ma’am, you’re almost there,’ said the waiter as he passed by with three plates in his hands and gave a small nod of his head towards the toilet door… right in front of which I was standing 🤦🏻‍♀️ The very best way to get shown the toilet. Busy with your work and then making another guest feel good too with a simple but witty answer. For me, this is a 10 for hospitality! The food was fine too: tasty crusty bread, good main courses, everything nicely seasoned, well prepared, a super beautiful terrace, but the best ingredient… the service!

Stunning location in the middle of a wooded area. Ample parking, a playground, and a large terrace are available. Dutch-speaking staff with an eye for the customer and excellent food. Separate rooms for festive occasions. Top location.

A lovely place to sit before or after a walk through the beautiful nature reserve. There is also a really nice playground for kids, and dogs are welcome. The service is super friendly. We always find it a treat to go here.

Fantastic spot for lunch, a base for a walk, or for recovering from a walk. The chocolate raspberry cake is delicious. The adjacent playground is fun for children from about 3 to at least 9. The kids' menu is fine. It allows parents and grandparents to catch up for a moment too 😉

We celebrated a birthday here and overall had a very enjoyable evening. The food was excellent and our group ordered generously throughout the evening, including several bottles of wine and Prosecco. The only disappointment was the lack of flexibility regarding the kitchen closing. Although the terrace was almost empty due to the very hot weather, we were rushed because the last food order had to be placed shortly after 7:00 pm. We would happily have ordered additional food if that had still been possible. A little more flexibility in such a situation would have made a noticeable difference to the overall experience. One point that is particularly important to me is the voluntary non-smoking policy on the terrace. I fully respect legal smoking restrictions where they apply, but when a restaurant voluntarily declares an outdoor terrace non-smoking, smokers are repeatedly sent away to stand in a designated spot, which creates the feeling of not being welcome. As a paying guest, I don’t think that is a hospitable approach, especially when the terrace is far from full. It is one of the main reasons why I generally choose not to return to establishments with voluntary smoke-free outdoor seating. The food deserves high praise, and with a little more flexibility and a more welcoming terrace policy, this would have been an outstanding experience.

We arrived on the hottest day, around 37 degrees. At the entrance, there was a sign saying order by 7:15 PM or something like that. We were there at 6:15 PM. It was too hot and we couldn't eat... put that on the sign then, and we'll turn around and you won't hear a peep from me. There were several other people who were turned away along with us.

The ambiance is great, and it's a fantastic location to stop for refreshments after a hike. The service wasn't particularly attentive.

35 degrees, a heatwave, and two people looking for salvation. After wading in the Dinkel, the choice was quickly made: an ice cream sundae at Paviljoen Lutterzand. The building itself is beautiful, a true showcase for the region. The atmosphere on the terrace was busy and lively, as we were clearly not the only ones with this brilliant plan. The ice cream sundae did exactly what it was supposed to do. Cold, tasty, and fully met the expectations of two overheated people. Everything took a bit long, from ordering to paying. But fair is fair: working in 35 degrees isn't exactly fun either, and the staff did their best. They deserve respect for that. On a normal day, surely a delightful way to end a walk through the Lutterzand. During a heatwave: come with patience and low expectations, and you are going to have a great afternoon.

Last Saturday, we celebrated a wedding at this beautiful location. The couple had chosen this venue perfectly for their wedding reception. A lovely atmosphere, pleasant surroundings, and everything was well taken care of.

Enjoy a lovely walk, and even in bad weather, you can sit outside dry next to a nice fire with your dog. There are also indoor seats. Delicious food, served in a cozy atmosphere.

It's a shame that the website says you are open today. My 86-year-old father and I cycled all the way from Enschede, only to find out the restaurant is closed!@#. The website clearly stated that you would be open. And there were many more people who came for nothing and had checked the site.

Cozy atmosphere and good service in a prime location

In a beautiful location, but the hospitality leaves much to be desired. We came with family for drinks and cake, and later in the afternoon for drinks and snacks. Both times, we were treated inhospitably and unfriendly by multiple staff members. When asked, they refused to extend the parasols that were already there if it started raining; the response was that we should just go inside. And when we wanted to sit in the back garden, we had to indicate that we wouldn't be served there. At 24 degrees, we are forced to sit inside.

A wedding day to never forget; a huge compliment for that goes out to John, Renate, and the entire team at Paviljoen Lutterzand. John was there for us from start to finish. He always thinks one step ahead. Multiple meetings were scheduled, during which he always took plenty of time, and no question was too big. The catering, the ceremony and dinner at Erve Beverborg, and the end-of-day party at the Paviljoen—everything went as hoped. The entire team ensured that everything ran smoothly. Last week, my mother and I spent a lovely afternoon at Paviljoen Het Lutterzand! We sat on the cozy terrace with a beautiful view. It was wonderfully relaxing; the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, which really makes a visit complete. I had the chicken burger and it was really delicious — well-cooked, flavorful, and generously topped. My mother was also more than satisfied. In short: a lovely spot for lunch, drinks, or dinner in nice weather. We were so impressed that we will definitely be back soon! **Many thanks to the whole team!** 👏

With 4 people, Whit Sunday. Ate pulled beef burgers. Both the buns and the meat were very dry. The pulled beef was even burnt. We did make a comment about it, but nothing was done about it.

I visited Lutterzandpaviljoen again today after many years, a place I used to frequent often. I find the terrace has really deteriorated and consider it quite discriminatory that you are not allowed to smoke anywhere on the terrace. That is why I will never come here again, because you simply sit outside, and I think there is enough space where you could potentially smoke without bothering anyone.

Hugely improved. I went a bit lower on the food this time. The menu featured a chicken burger, of which we ordered two: one with fries (to share) and one without. The burger without was served on a large plate without any further garnish (a farce as it looked); with a basket of fries next to it, it was still reasonably acceptable. But where did the icing go? The burger isn't cheap either, so the price-quality ratio is really not right. The gluten-free salmon sandwich was fine, but everything was just a bit "bare".

We had a delicious meal and dogs are welcome there too.

I had a fried egg here; the taste was reasonable, but the service, on the other hand, was very slow. They found it more important to chat with each other than to serve the people on the terrace.

We went treasure hunting with two adults and two children. It is fun, but the 27 euros is really exorbitant for what you get... it really is just searching for QR codes on a clear path, answering questions, and then they get to use the metal detector to find one coin and take it home... I would consider ten euros a more appropriate price. The food is great and the terrace is beautiful.

The relationship between the kitchen and the menu left much to be desired, let alone the price-quality ratio; it could be much better, John! Had to pay a lot of money for bad food; the schnitzel was a big mouthful of breadcrumbs! Shame, it used to be much better!

Everything was harmonious, professional, and simply fantastic. Despite being crowded, there were no long waiting times for either the service staff or the ordered food and drinks. Absolutely top-notch.

Nice restaurant but very expensive (I think).

Celebrating our 12.5 years of marriage together, it was a success. The only downside was that the steak was tough. It wasn't cooked well, but it was also a poor piece of meat. And all this for €32. Other guests had the same experience. It definitely needs a bit of attention. We reported this, but haven't heard anything back.

I was there to play music at a small private party. A friendly welcome, and a cup of coffee! A great atmosphere on a late Saturday afternoon in November.

A complete tray was placed in my neck, also by one of my guests. Upon insisting on actively applying a cassis to the right, I received a black tie. Two expensive jackets (Canada Goose) need to be dry-cleaned and waterproofed! A very substandard solution.

Beautiful building with cozy outdoor fires. The food was rather mediocre (the main course salad was a small plate of lettuce with half a plate of fries underneath, the burger tasted like BBQ sauce). The service was a bit formulaic (you can order individual croquettes, but not the croquette dish from lunch, which our son had fond memories of and wanted to return for. Lunch was full, so we gambled on dinner). We even asked for a better table instead of being in the middle of family events.

Today we had a bike ride and lunch. We parked our bikes under the motto, "Just drop them off." You can choose your own bike parking spot. After arriving, we ordered a draft beer. It turned out to be a bottle. The waitress explained: yes, it says "on tap," but after the six beers listed, it says "summer, winter, or autumn," or a combination of these. Apparently, that's supposed to mean this is the season they're on tap. Strange! I had two croquettes with rustic bread. The croquettes lacked flavor. I only realized the two butter tubs when I took a bite of the roll. Stale bread... but with plenty of butter, it was barely swallowable. Too bad. If you're going to offer expensive dishes on the menu, make it worth it.

We had a BBQ for 21 people on August 23rd. Everything was perfectly organized, with 5 different kinds of meat. The meat was very tender, delicious salads, 4 sauces, and a variety of baguettes. Our party went fantastically. Thanks to the pavilion team 👍😀.

Good food, nice place in beautiful walking area

A friend of mine hadn't eaten anything yet that evening, and the kitchen was actually already closed. The restaurant's waitress saw us and immediately made sure she got something to eat. So, a solid five stars for the service. What made it even better was that the food was also delicious. If you're in the area, definitely stop by!

I never write reviews, but this food was so bad I just had to. The steak seemed pre-cooked and reheated straight from the freezer in the oven. Worst steak I've ever eaten, and they shamelessly charged €32.50 for it. I even left a portion because it was inedible, a real shame for the poor cow that gave her life for this. My table companions also had mediocre food: limp schnitzel (also seemed reheated and not crispy at all) and a mediocre burger. The giant children's pancake turned out to be the best thing to eat, although pancakes at a pancake restaurant are much better. In short: don't eat here. Coffee on the terrace is fine, and the atmosphere and location are nice.

Well... nice ambiance in nature. The food was relatively good. Service was chaotic and uncoordinated. We were there with 20 people. Some were simply skipped for orders. This resulted in constant delays with drinks and food. The staff is friendly but needs training. The food is very good (actually), although the steaks were served well-done instead of medium. The beef capaccio was delicious, even though it was dressed completely differently than stated on the menu. For example, Parmesan cheese was missing (as stated on the menu).

After a nice walk with the kids, this is the ideal place for a drink with a playground!

Had a very disappointing staff outing here today. I've honestly never eaten so poorly for so much money. Hamburger and a few fries. €20. Nothing with it. No salad, nothing! A disgusting, thick hamburger. It looked like it had been cooked sous vide. The first time I got my hamburger, it was practically cold. By the time I got my replacement, everyone else was almost done eating. Who the hell thinks of serving a hamburger on a hard bun? A few rings of onion and tomato. Bacon had only been on the grill for two minutes, and a dollop of sauce. The average diner serves better food. You should be ashamed to charge so much for this! What my colleagues had on their plates wasn't even worth the money. The people who proclaim the food is delicious either have very low standards or something wrong with their taste buds. You'll never see me again!
