Restaurant PEX in Wijk 14 Bohemen en Meer en Bos

A great experience! For my mother's birthday, I rented a venue from PEX. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Prior to the party, communication was smooth, friendly, and they responded quickly. The atmosphere was great, partly because the venue is beautiful. We had a package deal, so our guests received snacks in addition to drinks, which they really enjoyed. Thank you, PEX, for making my mother's birthday unforgettable.

We came here for the second time. Delicious food taste, nice ambiance, friendly staffs, unique location. Not far from Scheveningen. It’s good place for gamily gathering or just eat for two.

A lovely, cozy place. Lovely terraces, ideal for children with a bouncy castle and playground. There's also an indoor games room. Excellent service.

Bavette bitter. Ordered medium rare, but received blue/rare. I didn't return it, because you never know what a kitchen will do with it. The bitter taste was like it had been cooked directly on coals, perhaps just lit with a firelighter or a gas burner. The gratin was fine, but a bit bland. The vegetables and extra vegetables were very good: blanched cauliflower/romanesco, asparagus, and carrots. The fries were normal. The cod fish and chips was okay. Two satay sticks were a bit small, but they tasted good. The schnitzel wasn't what you'd expect: quite thick, with a tasteless, harder layer—not thin and tender, but hard, dry, and thick. The schnitzel was very filling, as it was a large piece served with mushroom or pepper sauce. Both sauces were excellent, and the pepper was good with fresh peppercorns. The service was excellent and extremely friendly. We did have to take other tables' cards ourselves, though. All in all, a pleasant evening. You shouldn't have too high expectations, then it's fine, after all it is a family restaurant with screaming children.

It's nice to have a drink and a bite to eat, but a small glass of orange juice for €4.85 is really expensive and it wasn't even fresh; it tasted a day old.

We come here often and haven't been for a few months now. But the food was so bad. The grilled cheese was like a cafeteria grilled cheese. The pancakes and brownies were from the freezer. And when we tried to be honest about this, the manager completely ignored us. Such a shame. Such a beautiful place with a playground, such friendly young girls working there, but we wouldn't be back anytime soon.

I regularly provide first aid training there (on behalf of a client), and the service is always excellent. Candidates are extremely satisfied with the lunch they serve, and they certainly take special requests into account. It has a lovely (covered) terrace, and dogs are also welcome (on a leash).

Fantastische locatie voor onze familiedag op Paaszaterdag. Wij waren met een grote groep van 28 pp van 0 jaar tot 77 jaar. Aardige en flexibele bediening, heerlijk gegeten! Dank daarvoor!

De service en gerechten waren goed tot zeer goed. Het enige waar ik advies over zou geven ter verbetering is; de pannenkoeken iets minder lang te bakken en een plakje spek extra. Maar ben wel erg tevreden weggegaan.

Staff looked very grumpy and were more interested in their phones than in providing customer service. If you ordered a ginger tea and a cappuccino, you would not have received your order fifteen minutes later. The staff had long since forgotten the order. Been once and will never go there again.

Very amateurish, very small wine glasses that do not belong to the wine, empty for 2 to 3 sips. Ask twice for new ones. Really takes too long. Other soft drinks are served in beer glasses. Really not possible. Food is fine. Atmosphere very mediocre, no nice background music.

Families with children who want to go somewhere on Sunday morning and walk in the woods are a nice option.

The 8 of us went to dinner for my daughter's birthday. The service was more concerned with itself than with the customers. There was hardly any attention if you wanted to order something. 3 of us ordered the Fish and Chips which was very disappointing, the fish was tasteless and dry. I order a bavette red and my brother a medium, he gets rare and I get medium, he had pepper sauce and I had mushroom sauce. If you say something about it, you will get the answer: I will pass it on and that is it. It seems to have deteriorated considerably.

We had rented a room there 2 weeks in advance and discussed everything with the manager, but that did not go well. We had to get drinks ourselves, staff didn't walk around asking if you wanted something to drink. They walked around a number of people once with the snacks. They were beaten, the snacks were put on the bar and a second time as discussed was not done. The room was nicely rented until 5 p.m., but the next party arrived at 5:15 p.m. while 5:30 p.m. had been discussed. Not recommended

We had lunch the other day. The menu is limited and the food quality is average. Service is fine.

Although reserved well in advance, we were placed at tables outside last night. Reason: there were private parties. Of course, you can't go anywhere with a group of 15, so we had little choice. After 45 minutes we asked for the card and were pointed to a stand on the table containing 1 card for each of us. After asking for more cards, they were eventually delivered. Everyone sat at the table with a thick coat and after dinner they immediately packed up and left. Very unfortunate and not very neat. There were also three older people in the group (82 and 79 and 76), who you cannot properly leave outside in the evening. The service didn't care much. Too bad because the food was good, but we won't be coming back. Not a good turn Pex!

Had lunch with family (20 people) yesterday. When I asked for a glass of water for my son (after a hot chocolate and a pancake), the staff indicated that they do not serve tap water, only with coffee and wine. If that's the choice, serve it as standard - that even comes with coffee (we had already ordered a lot of coffees and didn't get any water). And for children who drink hot chocolate, I think it's quite reasonable. And anyway, serving a glass of water is very hospitable. Especially on such a large bill, I expect a little more customer friendliness. We won't be back!

Gisteren met familie (20 personen) geluncht. Toen ik een glaasje water vroeg voor mijn zoon (na een warme chocolademelk en een pannenkoen) gaf het personeel aan dat zij geen kraanwater serveren, alleen bij koffie en wijn. Als dat de keuze is, serveer het dan standaard (we hadden al een heleboel koffies besteld en geen water gekregen). En voor kinderen die warme chocolademelk vragen vind ik het wel zo redelijk. En sowieso, een glaasje water serveren is wel zo gastvrij. Zeker op zo'n grote rekening verwacht ik iets meer klantvriendelijkheid. Wij komen niet meer terug!

I think it is a bit expensive for what the menu offers, but the surroundings always make it worth it, especially with small children. Service sometimes sloppy (forgetting things), but always friendly.

Was een erg slechte ervaring. Aller eerst over al zat je te eten met een rook walm om je heen. Elke bediening was een 15-16 jarige die niet omkeek of benul had als je wat wou bestellen. (30 min kregen we pas het eerste contact) Gingen naar een andere tafel verhuizen omdat onze tafel scheef stond en wankelde, personeel weerderom niet meegeholpen met de vele borden die we zelf moesten verplaatsen, tafels plakten, stoelen plakje. Vreselijk wederom een geen fijne ervaring

Great restaurant with good food and a nice warm atmosphere. We had a hamburger, satay and a bavette that was on the very small side, which was a shame because you pay quite a bit for it.

This restaurant has a great location in the middle of a park with very friendly staff and an excellent menu with sufficient choice of food and drinks. The food tastes excellent here. Highly recommended!

Hidden gem in the bushes of Pex. We drove here specifically (again). The food is excellent, there is a nice terrace and nearby is a large playground where the children can play while waiting (you have to walk there every now and then). When we were there there was plenty of parking but it was not that busy and the korfball club is on summer break..

Very nice place, a bit hidden in the woods of Scheveningen. Friendly and relaxed, for all ages. Children can play in an air castle and in the surrounding woods. It is nice to sit outside (covered terrace). Inside it is a bit outdated. The party locations are great, we celebrated a birthday there last year. It was very pleasant and well organised, good food too. The menu is good, no high flyers.

Nice place, nicely located, kind staff. The menu was a bit basic, and the food was fine. The pancakes are good, though. We had a nice break on our bike ride here.

Twas reasonable in taste. Pancakes with 2 pathetic pieces of bacon disappointing. Took a long time for the food to arrive. A few good knives for the sandwiches were missing. Terrible mess to swallow it down. Could use some TLC on everything.

The location/place is nice, in terms of food and waiting time it could be better. The Tom Ka Kai, on the other hand, was great!

Standaard ontbijtje niet voor herhaling vatbaar. Weinig variatie en niet veel keus. We waren met 6 en kregen 10 boterhammen. We vroegen om wat meer, kregen 3 extra die we apart moesten betalen. Schandalig.

Atmospheric and delicious. Located in the beautiful 'Bosjes van Pex', easily accessible and with sufficient p -opportunities. The terrace is attractively decorated. Especially suitable with small children. There is an air cushion and a playground in the immediate vicinity. Interesting and varied menu, reasonably priced. We enjoyed chicken satay, spare ribs and salmon.

Ligt in de groene omgeving ' bosjes van pex'. Mooi en sfeervol restaurant. Gevarieerde kaart en redelijk geprijsd. Op de kaart staan verschillende gerechten voor de kids, er is ook een springkussen en in directe nabijheid een leuke speeltuin. Kinderen zijn dus welkom. Wij hebben genoten van een zalm, kip saté en spare ribbs. Zeker een bezoek waard.

Went with a group for breakfast and presentation. Good breakfast, good atmosphere (we mainly make it ourselves), nice decor. Pleasant area available for the children to play.

Leuke plek in het bos, de lunchkaart is heel divers maar weinig keuze in warme gerechten. Bediening is heel erg aardig. Fijne plek voor een lunch of een kopje koffie na een wandeling in De Bosjes van Pex.

Great place to take your kids, they have small slides for the little ones and at least one bouncy castle for the older ones. Then there's the playroom with lots of stuff to keep them busy. Great place to go with nice weather, pancakes are good and they also have good salads. There's a big playground almost right next to it as well and free parking. Can get busy in the weekends!

Young staff who pay no attention to the customer. Food was not special at all. No butter on your croquette sandwich; don't pay your 50 cents for it. Downright ridiculous. And everything was way too expensive. Never again there!!

Lovely place for a leisurely lunch date. The menu choices are simple but the food is well prepared and delicious. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

Eten was oke. Rekenkunde van de ober ietsjes minder. Parkeren ook prima, al is het wel even zoeken door de bushbush. Vraag me wel af of het prima blijft, als alles vol staat.

Vandaag de babyshower van mijn dochter hier gehouden. Eten was lekker en meer dan voldoende. We konden het gezellig versieren. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar mocht ik ooit nog een babyshower hebben

Het eten was echt prima. Maar voor het aantal mensen dat in de bediening loopt moet je wel lang wachten voor je een bestelling kan plaatsen. Betalen ben ik maar zelf gaan doen aan de bar. Verder echt een prettige tent. Goede sfeer, leuke kaart.

Wij hadden een feest in een zaal. Was erg goed geregeld, hapjes waren top. Ruim voldoende parkeergelegenheid.

Super leuke sfeer! Leuk personeel. Ideaal voor kinderen. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding vind ik wat tegenvallen, prijs mag best wat omlaag vergeleken met het eten. bv. In de spek pannekoek zitten er 3 kleine stukjes spek, erg minimaal, vandaar 4 sterren ipv 5.

Echt ongelofelijk fijn gezeten. Het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk toen wij een verjaardag vierde we mochten onze eigen taart mee brengen en ook met andere zaken dachten ze mee. Er is volop speelgelegenheid voor de kids, ik heb ze de hele middag niet gezien! Over het eten kan ik niet goed oordelen wij hebben vooral van de borrelplank genoten , maar gaan zeker nog eens terug om te proeven! Echt een anrader voor heerlijk familie diner.

Door de grootte van de groep (22, waarvan 8 volwassenen) moesten we in delen bestellen voor de keuken, maar echt volledig tevreden!

Gezellig, vriendelijk personeel, lekker eten. Het is helaas (misschien door de ligging (tussen Vogelwijk en Vruchtenbuurt)) wel wat prijzig allemaal.
