We were looking for a restaurant on our way home from a long car ride and stumbled upon this one. The food was excellent. Fresh pasta and pizza, and generous portions. Friendly staff. We would definitely return!

The food was delicious, the tenderloin was good quality, and the service was friendly, though not very flexible. A smaller children's menu is a real drawback. You can only order a pasta bolo for almost €20, which my daughter could eat for a week isn't sustainable. It would be nice if there were a smaller pasta dish for children, or a different children's menu. Despite my request, this wasn't possible. Otherwise, it's okay. The surroundings are bleak, but you don't really notice it in the restaurant.

Fantastically prepared meat. The second menu -> tenderloin dishes are highly recommended. I'll definitely be back to try the pizza and pasta dishes as well.

Super food! We tried most meat dishes , real Italian with Scaloppine al Limone, Filetto/Tagliata di Manzo and also the steamed salmon. Perfect cuisson and supertasty - watching the Italian chef cut the meat in the open kitchen is entertaining, and the waiters are relaxed , charming and friendly. The uninspiring surrounding of the 80’s shopping mall in need of maintenance , merely emphasizes the great atmosphere once inside ! Certainly recommended!

Exactly one year ago, I posted a very positive review about San Giorgio, but my experience last Sunday was very mediocre. My family of four and I reserved a table online at 6:00 PM, and at 7:30 PM, we arrived to a fairly full restaurant. The table we were assigned was still covered in dirty items from previous guests, and since they hadn't been cleared after 15 minutes, we moved them to the table next to us. After ordering our appetizer, we were told we only had two plates. There wasn't enough cutlery, so we ate part of the appetizer with our hands, placing our plates somewhere in the middle. The main course arrived in batches. The first three people were already eating, and the last course arrived 25 minutes later. The first three had finished before I could even start on my pizza. The pizza I'd eaten there a few times before wasn't of the same quality as the one I'd eaten at San Giorgio. The center of the pizza was just wet/mushy and not quite cooked enough. That was also disappointing. Because I had plenty of time to observe the other guests while waiting, I saw that everyone had to wait a long time for everything and that orders were frequently wrong. There was clearly a staff shortage, and for that reason we didn't complain to the very hard-working lady. But perhaps a tip for the owner is not to fill all the tables with too few staff. This is how you ruin a good reputation.

A nice restaurant, completely empty, expensive, and the 4-cheese pizza for 14.50 seemed to have only one piece of cheese on it, poorly cut, so all the cheese came with that one piece. The Roquefort was in large chunks, nice, but too strong for such a coarse dish. Furthermore, it seemed like a single flavor of cheese, and the dough was soft. And that was the first and last time, because a redemption isn't an option, since those are free, and judging by the prices, this person is only looking to enrich themselves, like most people who come here and open a pizzeria. It's because the other one was on vacation, because this one never really appealed to me anyway, thanks to the exorbitant prices. Initially, 20 euros for the cheapest pizza, so they're a bit cheaper, but 14.50 for this is still bad.

We stumbled across this authentic and appealing looking Italian restaurant a couple of weeks ago and I immediately checked out the reviews. I booked a table for this past Friday evening and we were not disappointed. We had a delicious pasta (bolognese and gambas respectively) and shared the tiramisu after. The service was prompt, friendly, English speaking, uncomplicated and easy. The chairs are so comfortable and the table settings classy. It was fun watching the chefs prepare the food and to see the pizzas coming out of the wood burning oven. They look great and we can’t wait to try them. This really is an authentic Italian experience and they take great care to make you feel special. I love that the Italian chef himself proudly brings the food to the table. We will be back to work our way through the menu. It really is lovely to eat here and should be bursting with people. Such a pleasure to have a nice array of pasta options as well as pizzas, and your traditional secondi meals. Really great.

We ate here last Saturday. It was a fantastic evening!! First of all, the restaurant looks small, cozy, and neat. Because it's so small, it feels like you're dining in someone's home—nice and cozy. The service was friendly and offered good advice about the food and drinks. The chefs (one of whom is the owner) were very attentive. They regularly checked in to see if everything was to your liking. The food was delicious. Freshly prepared and good portion sizes. I would definitely recommend this Italian restaurant!!!

We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance in a dreary 1990s shopping mall. The staff only spoke English, weren't unfriendly but weren't particularly hospitable either; they seemed like someone with a part-time job. The chef seemed passionate but was quite busy. The owner (I think it was the owner) was mostly preoccupied with himself. The food: ordered a pizza without artichoke. It came with artichoke. The pizza was remade—which was polite, considering possible allergies. Meanwhile, the spaghetti with tenderloin (€22.00!) was served. So, we started eating unevenly. When the pizza was almost finished, my husband had a long strand of hair in his mouth... he immediately felt nauseous. It was so disgusting to fish it out. When we pointed this out while clearing the table, the staff said it was a long strand from the salami casing. No apology, no compensation. This, along with the mediocre service and bleak surroundings, made us leave this restaurant alone. We wouldn't recommend it. There are better, nicer, and more inviting restaurants.

the service is so-so. let's start with the fact that we came to the restaurant, sat at a dirty table (all the tables were dirty). no one wiped them down for us, nothing. we ordered a spicier pizza (there used to be a devil's pizza on the menu, now it's gone), but they brought us a pizza that was not spicy at all. we had to ask for a fork and knife separately, because they didn't bring them either. the carbonara wasn't what we expected, there are places where it's tastier. when we decided to pay the bill, we had to wait about 10 minutes for the boss to come and settle our accounts. we also had to dictate what we ordered...

Great restaurant with truly fantastic dishes and an incredibly friendly team of enthusiastic and kind, hard-working people. There were six of us and we had a fantastic time. Despite the staff shortage, everyone did their utmost to provide for everyone. I have often eaten in Italy, but this restaurant rises above it all. Nice detail: upon departure, the owner personally returned the coat that my son had forgotten. Definitely a place to come back to. Thank you for the hospitable welcome and the pleasant, cozy stay!

Service doesn't speak Dutch, forgets to take drinks and also forgets to ask how you want to eat the meat. Then you get an almost raw thick slice of meat and overcooked vegetables. Can't get rid of it. Tables are placed so close together that there is no privacy. A mockery.

Super delicious food. Friendly service. Modest and very friendly top chef with a love for his profession. Had the ravioli with ricotta and spinach, where the chef poured the truffle sauce over it at the table. Wat tot een paar jaar geleden ons favoriete restaurant was is nu eens maar nooit meer. Nadat we de afgelopen keer een slechte ervaring hadden qua niet gare en smaakloze pizza, waar we overigens niet voor hoefde te betalen dachten we laten we ze nog eens een kans geven. De kaart was vernieuwd , lees minder uitgebreid en duurder. Mijn favo pizza met rauwe ham burata en rucola was er niet meer. Wel eentje zonder de burata. Prijs 25!?!? Euro. Was 15 Toch maar de burata erbij gevraagd, dat kon uiteraard. De gekozen wijn was er niet , de 2 alternatieve wijnen zuur; (fles te lang open?) toen was de eerder bestelde wijn er wel, ook niet super qua smaak, wel qua prijs 6 euro per glas. De sfeer tussen de kok, de eigenaar en het meisje in de bediening was vervelend controlerend en ongemakkelijk. Uiteindelijk kreeg ik mozzarella op mijn pizza ( die Hollander kent toch het verschil niet) en mocht ik 28,50 afrekenen voor de pizza en de totale rekening 70 euro, 1 pizza, 1 pasta flesje bruiswater1 tonic en 1 wijntje. Kortom dit restaurant is veels te duur geworden en dat blijkt ook wel want er waren maar 3 tafeltjes bezet. Hoe lang zal dit reataurant nog bestaan? Wij gaan in ieder geval opzoek naar een nieuwe favoriet.

Have a lovely dinner here. Two different pastas that we tried were perfect. The pizza for my son was good. Also had a ribeye steak, which was unfortunately mostly black. Service was friendly and fast however later it became very busy and it was abit all over the place with dishes arriving and the different times, wrong dishes being laid out and so.

We had a great meal, but unfortunately the Italian feeling that was there before is gone.

I didn't feel like joining the traffic jam on my way home from work. I decided to have something to eat nearby. That's how I spontaneously ended up in this restaurant. And I was very happy with that! Super friendly staff. The 4 cheese rigatoni was fantastic. And the tiramisu too. Everything in an authentic Italian way, including the decor and music. Buonissimo!!

200% Italian food, what a delight! The lasagna was very delicious, I recommend it! The pizza is quite big! The restaurant is in a small shopping center very easy to find with Google maps, so you can't get lost! The interior of the restaurant is very nice, clean and cozy. And also what I really liked is that the kitchen is open bar style and you can hear the cooks speaking Italian 🤗. It is worth visiting 👍🏽

Picked up a number of pizzas from San Giorgio for the first time. Slightly more expensive than average, but worth every cent: what delicious pizzas. I don't always eat the edge of a Calzone, but San Giorgio's was delicious down to the last crumb, absolutely great!

A very nice Italian restaurant, unfortunately a bit remote and difficult to find. In my opinion it would be better at a location such as Bussum. Nevertheless, we had a delicious meal; the value for money is excellent and the staff are very friendly and provide a formidable service.

Io e mia moglie abbiamo girato i Paesi Bassi per 10 giorni ed abbiamo mangiato in vari ristoranti dei Paesi Bassi. L'unico vero ristorante è il Ristorante San Giorgio di Huizen. Chef Alessandro è "spettacolare", carbonara fantastica, arrabbiata altrettanto, agnello "favoloso" e della cucina non stiamo a dirvi altro perché dovete assolutamente provarla. Passiamo alla pizza. Pizzaiolo eccezionale, abbiamo trovato le pizze migliori di quelle che possiamo trovare in Italia; è stata una piacevolissima sorpresa. Per ultimo, ma non per voto, parliamo del servizio; la gentilissima Monica ci ha serviti in modo impeccabile. Gentile, sempre sorridente ed attenta ad ogni nostra esigenza. Consiglio: anche se siete a qualche chilometro di distanza da questo posto vi consigliamo di fare un po' più di strada ed andare a mangiare in questo meraviglioso Ristorante. Zomeraanbieding geboekt en dacht voor 39,00 euro. Bij het afrekenen ineens 55,00 euro pp zonder dat dit van tevoren gemeld was dat het om 4-gangen ging, werd gewoon geserveerd. Kleine porties, daardoor heel duur.

Delicious authentic Italian food, with excellent service. It may not be the nicest terrace in Huizen, but the interior design is very tasteful and the food is undoubtedly very tasty. The dishes also look so beautiful; composed with care. In my opinion, definitely recommended! for people who love good food.

Vreselijk slecht eten en slechte bediening. Hebben onze hoofdgerechten terug gestuurd de keuken in en na 45 min was er nog niemand bij onze tafel geweest om het op te lossen. Nooit meer!

Het Holleblok in Huizen is qua omgeving niet de eerste lokatie waar je aan denkt om uit eten te gaan maar als je van authentiek Italiaans eten houdt zit daar een pareltje waar je absoluut geweest moet zijn. Gerund door een Piemonter worden daar de meest heerlijke gerechten geserveerd, van anti pasta tot en met dolce, het smaakt allemaal even goed, inclusief de wijn die - hoe kan het ook anders - vaak uit Piemonte afkomstig is. Vriendelijke bediening, vol zicht op de pizzabakker, een eigenaar die volop in bereiding en bediening meedoet en forse, overheerlijke porties. Wij zijn er inmiddels twee keer geweest en gaan er over niet al te lange tijd ongetwijfeld weer heen!

The surroundings don't reveal that such a fine little Italian is hiding here. The restaurant is furnished to a high standard with extremely comfortable seating. We were greeted very friendly and looked after, provided with some nice appetizers and were quickly able to enjoy well-sized main courses. The ragú was delicately seasoned and the pizza San Daniele was generously topped. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to do more than a coffee at the end - a shame!

The staff is very friendly, customer-oriented and service-oriented. In addition, the food is really delicious, compliments to the chef. It starts with the appetizer you get. The aioli, I would like to mention specifically, is not normally so tasty. I don't know how you do this, but wow! The wrap is also delicious. Starter, main course and dessert, everything is good! You can also enjoy the wine. Nice interior with open kitchen, terrace and good music. It feels like you are in Italy. In short: everything is positive. Keep this up and keep it up! Very nice to see all those good reviews. But for us it was really a disappointment. Service was confused, a starter was forgotten and there was a 10 minute gap between the two pizzas as a main course; they suggested the most expensive bottle with the wine (goes well with the pizza...). Excellent atmosphere and the dish was well prepared. But that also has to be the case with that price. Overall price quality ratio was not ok.

Very nice people, and the food was excellent. We ordered the classic bruschetta, 4 cheese pizza and a pasta carbonara. The appetizer we received from the house was excellent. We will come back again because I believe that these are traditional dishes from Italy.

A fantastic Italian restaurant that is a bit hidden in Huizen and therefore even more fun. When you sit inside you feel like you are in Italy because of the cozy atmosphere that has been created there. The open kitchen makes it complete, because you can also enjoy the great service and chefs working there. The food is really “formidable” and the portions are really according to Italian standards. This is our favorite restaurant in the area and we hope to come here often and for a long time!
