We come here regularly and usually eat the famous "bites", which we find very tasty. We also ordered the "Chef's borrelplank" once and we like that less. It is cozy and the service is relaxed and friendly. Finally: the location is also great, at the harbor.

Food is good, the cote de boeuf is wonderfully tender and tastes fantastic. The wine and cocktails are good and the friendly service makes the evening complete.

We were here for cocktails and food. The positives are the friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere and nice dinner. The negative is the cocktail. Judging by previous reviews this place serves great cocktails. Unfortunately, ours were not balanced and sour plus served in really small glasses. However, they do cost €13,00 each…

Amazing food, amazing cocktails. Love the creativity in the flavours and the portion size are also good! We loved the steak!!! And could not get enough of thr cocktails really recommend the cocktail named "above the clouds".

Arrived at 7 p.m. for a drink, full restaurant. The bartender offers us seats at the bar, great idea for the show. Order non-alcoholic cocktails not on the menu? No problem, our bartender creates them according to our desires. Unparalleled mastery, wonderful, friendly service and refined cocktails that are as good to taste as they are to the eye. A real nice surprise for this place and thank you again for the great welcome

Quite strange, I haven't been there, but I was at the shop next door.

We went here for cocktails and dessert, so the rating is based on that. Servers were friendly, especially the young guy, who was very attentive. Drinks were great and above average priced, but by no means expensive. Food was so so, nothing too special. Overall a fun experience, and great place to just chill.

Simply a nice restaurant with good food and service with reasonable prices. we all loved it. not easy to find but gmaps did the job.

Nice service, outside you are a bit cramped with your group at a 2 person table and when it is full you have to squeeze to get past the people. Unfortunately they forgot to place our order so we had to wait over an hour for our main courses.

Wij hebben een ontzettend leuke en lekkere avond doorgebracht bij 1714! De entourage en het eten doet al veel maar het leuke en servicegerichte personeel maken het gouden randje. Ze gaven goede adviezen, zijn vriendelijk in contact en maken je avond nog beter. De cocktails waren hemels. Probeer zeker above the clouds en de mango lassi en regel vervoer 😊

Agreed here with a customer, both ended up halfway in Schiedam, attracted by the high review and that was fulfilled. Nice service, nice quiet place on the water, good food, fast service. 1714 is located exactly on the edge of the center, is easily accessible and gives you the feeling of being outside the busy city.

Second time heavily discrespected here. In february anniversary dinner booked - waited at the bar for 45min still no table in sight. The table that was supposed to be ours (told by the waiter) still being served 45min into out reservation. We left without dinner. People after us also came for their reservation, waiting at the bar next to us as well. Today booked a table for 3 outside, came, small table for 2 not even seating for 3rd person. Waiter acting as if he is doing as a favor. No "aub" no "here you go" no "fu*k u" while bringing drinks. This guy needs to find another job. Never again

Een pareltje in Schiedam, mooie locatie, mooi interieur. Beetje rauw, authentiek maar vooral zichzelf! Mooie voorgerechten. Steak tartaar zoals het hoort, heilbot maar dan verassend en erg lekker. Hoofdgerechten helemaal top, mooi geserveerd en gepresenteerd. Tot snel weer een x, niet verder vertellen hoor….!?

Very friendly staff. Authentic dishes. The octopus carpaccio in particular is very original and delicious. shrimps. The cocktails and wine are very tasty. Well advised.

Leuk restaurant, goede bediening en echt heerlijk eten. Leuk om te zien hoe alle drankjes worden klaar gemaakt en de wijnen zijn heerlijk. De kok maakt er echt iets moois van met verrassende smaken. Wij gaan zeker nog een keer terug.

At Brasserie 1714 we said goodbye to a colleague. We had an extensive snack board with delicious tapas snacks. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Christmas, it has a nice cozy atmosphere. Highly recommended. In the summer you can sit outside by the water.

The place is cool. Close to the water and has a summer terrace. There are several floors inside, but the place is not big. Now about the food. On the photo is a board from the chef. Just beautifully decorated appetizers from the store. Delicious, undeniably. The aperolspritz is water lightly colored. I love this drink, but I tried it here and was shocked how it could be made. I tried this cocktail in different countries and restaurants, but here I was shocked. Special thanks to duck pancakes. This dish is very tasty. I would even say magical. Now the result. The place is not bad, fun, DJ, you can come to get high, but I would not order cocktails here.

Pleasant and accommodating waiters to find us a table without reservation and full restaurant (for 2 people). Very nice cocktails, excellent dishes (very good price/quality/quantity ratio). Rental ideally located, on a barge, in a quiet area.

We had a good time at the Schiedam 1714. The service was good, the foods served were also nice and the wines we had were also really good. The place is beautiful with a nice view of the canal.

1714 have a very pleasant terrace on a barge in the canal. Service was friendly and fairly quick. They could not do cake with the cappuccino but suggested a dessert instead. This was tasty but very small compared to a piece of cake and a lot more expensive. Overall still a good experience.

Chill place at the old harbor in Schiedam in the sun with delicious food.

Charming place in the centre of Schiedam - if you’re lucky to sit outside on the boat, you’ll enjoy the sunshine and the relaxed vibe there. Although the food was very delicious, I’m afraid the staff could have been more attentive - we ordered oysters which they forgot about. Also, we waited for our food for slightly more than 35 minutes, which was a bit annoying. Still, melanzane alla parmigiana was extremely good, as well as the meat of the day. They have different fish and meat options daily, ask the servers for more detail. I also went for Pineapple Daiquiri and tried both the virgin and alcohol ones, and though I expected it to be sour, it was probably too sour, so consider this when making your own cocktail choice.

The atmosphere is top notch!!! The staff is polite and helpful, everyone speaks excellent English. The wine is amazing.
