Beautiful location with parking in front of the door. Super friendly staff and a delicious menu, with affordable dishes. The portions are large!!! Sat down and enjoyed it!

One star is actually too much. We sat there for 30 minutes without anyone coming. Then we walked in and asked if someone could help us. Received a menu card, but then waited another 45 minutes and still no order taken. Bad service this!

The three of us sat on the terrace and first had to go inside ourselves to indicate that we were sitting outside. Then it took quite a while before someone came to take our drinks. We also indicated that we would like to eat something, but unfortunately no one came by afterwards to take our order. Ultimately we decided to go somewhere else. Too bad, because the place looked cozy, but the service really left much to be desired.

Het restaurant is onlangs volledig verbouwd. Het is een prachtige zaak geworden. Wij hebben hier met een groot gezelschap een fantastisch feest gevierd. Alles was uitstekend verzorgd, het zag er gezellig uit en we hebben heerlijk gegeten en gedronken. De gasten die voor veganistische hapjes gingen waren hier erg over te spreken.

I always come here when I visit Arnhem: I knew veterans who were brought here when they were wounded in September 1944, and it always feels like a place with atmosphere - and as well the food and service are excellent. Highly recommended!

Average restaurant with a glorious past. Service below expectations. Bread was served after the main dish, the meat was quite cold, the table was left with all the dirty cutlery during dessert. Waiters were nice and prices too. Food was average good. Ok restaurant after all.

A cozy but draughty place to eat an average meal. There's nothing wrong with it, but there's nothing special to say about it either. Due to its location, it has long been the place to commemorate the Battle of Arnhem. It still relies on that.

Extremely busy and a focal point during an annual military commemorative period in the year. Not easy to park nearby. Not enough extra staff hired unfortunately, which led to large timely queues. They ran out of bottled water, then bluffed customers with a smaller measure of tap water, but at the same cost as the bottled! As many of the visiting weekend tourists at that time would say "Screw the nut!".

Had lunch with 2 people. Fast service and the dishes were excellent. Prices are average to slightly above average. The atmosphere is informal/businesslike with fresh flowers on the table. The restaurant and toilets were clean. The quality of the dishes was excellent, tasty food and generous quantities. The milk was not fresh milk, but long-life milk. I always like it when this is indicated when ordering. Cutlery came after the dish was served instead of before. So some minor points, but definitely a place I would come back to.

A great spot for our Kate lunch having visited the Airborne Museum just up the road. Very convenient parking and you can purchase the blue timer card from the next door newsagent - staff were very helpful about this. Great food, there were 6 different dishes chosen and they were all good. Highly recommend the parsnip soup and salmon sandwich. Cones of chips were also a great hit.

Very busy during 80th Anniversary of Arnhem

Had dinner there on Friday evening 9/27 and it was disappointing. We had gone an hour before a cup of soup was on the table. Main courses also took a long time. At first the service reported that this was normal. Only to report again a little later that the kitchen was indeed understaffed. The best thing about the location remains its history. Too bad this is overshadowed by mediocre service.

Busiest restaurant on Arnhem over the 80th anniversary of Op Market Garden weekend and the commemorative events celebrating the battle for Arnhem. 4 million and 6 guests all at lunch when the town was at its busiest probably ever and the staff coped really well, a significant wartime location much celebrated by Airborne forces today. Great staff, beer and food - nothing to not like

I was there on Saturday during the airborne ride. It was busy and cozy, but the service inside left much to be desired. Way too slow, it seemed like they weren't prepared for it.

Stayed here many time ideal for the Airborne services. Food and rooms are very good and considerably cheaper than nearby hotels. Miranda and Sander are very good mine hosts and very helpful about information about local activities. Also ideal for trips to Arnhem.

Visited Restaurant Schoonoord with a group of 31 Adults and young people after taking part in the airborne wandeltocht in September 2024. The service was fantastic, we were really well looked after and the food was excellent - great portion sizes and very very tasty. Hope to return again next year!

Restaurant Schoonoord is really a great place! The hospitality is great; You will immediately receive a warm welcome and the staff is super friendly and attentive. The food is fantastic. Every meal is prepared with great care and really tasty. The location is perfect, centrally located with parking spaces right in front of the door. Ideal for a business lunch or just a nice conversation. If you are looking for a place that is easily accessible, with delicious food and a nice atmosphere, then Schoonoord is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!

My compliments to the chef. Brie sandwich was fantastic! To eat your fingers. Also a bit of the museum of WWII was very well done. Recommended!

Wanneer je een restaurant zoekt waar je minder lekker wilt eten en het eten slechter word opgediend dan thuis dan is dit zeker een aanrader! We hadden een meloensalade waarbij er grote stukken fruit op wat gemengde salade was gelegd, dat was het. Er was echt niets bijzonders aan maar kostte wel €17,50. Als oplossing kregen we een bakje extra meloen in kleine stukjes gesneden. De melanzane was smaakloos en de tomaten erin waren nauwelijks gebakken. De combinatie met rijst vonden we ook wat bijzonder. Voor €20.50 hadden we meer verwacht. De bediening was vriendelijk maar daar is ook alles mee gezegd. Wij komen hier in ieder geval niet meer terug!

Old familiar location for a good lunch when visiting Oosterbeek

The food at Schoonoord is simply excellent! The quantity is also fine and the taste and quality leave nothing to be desired. The vegetables with the main course are delicious and considerably more in quantity than elsewhere. The dessert was excellent and many restaurants cannot match it in terms of quantity. When you look into the open kitchen it looks very clean. The staff is neat and very friendly. For the price-quality ratio, Schoonoord is highly recommended!

Visited on Sunday 7-7-2024. After 20 minutes we finally ordered two coffees. A waitress present who didn't feel like it. I thought ..!!! But this girl can't do this job at all. No insight and cannot or does not want to talk. A few nods of the head. After 3 cups of coffee, payment did not work either. She really can't do it. Helpless shivering girl . Tip to owner: put your employee out of her misery and let her retrain for something that really makes her happy.

Wij waren met 11personen. Gastvrij, vrolijk en lekker. De eigenaar deed er alles aan om ons feestje leuker te maken. Een klein puntje van kritiek. De serre is nogal rumoerig, als het wat voller is. Wij waren ook niet echt stil. Ik zou wat geluidsabsorberende zaken toevoegen. Eindconclusie ervaring die ons bij blijft. De prijs bleek ook nog mee te vallen.

Beautiful hotel, excellent food, friendly staff

Delicious spare ribs were tender and the schnitzel was well cooked. Veltins doesn't quite like the beer? But you can argue about taste. Atmosphere could be better. Changing the waitress who had fewer smiles is important.

Much nicer, nicer, cozier on the inside than the outside suggests. Operation as you would expect and as it should be. Delicious food. Honest and delicious. Redfish perfectly cooked, spareribs were delicious. Very relaxed! Will definitely come back. TOP!!!

The asparagus tasted delicious. But I would have liked them cooked a little longer. All the steps up and down make it a bit difficult for people with mobility problems.

Prima bediening maar kwaliteit niet bijzonder. Over de hoeveelheid kan niets gezegd worden, maar het inbreekt aan de smaak en afwerking. . Voor een bezoek aan Oosterbeek zou ik verder kijken.

We spent a weekend away with the in-laws at the Bilderberg hotel Oosterbeek. After a bit of googling, Schoonoord restaurant appeared. Delicious food, good service, very friendly. Owner also very friendly. Cozy restaurant, definitely worth coming from Haarlem today to spend a night in a hotel and then eat here at the Schoonoord restaurant. Very satisfied. Chapeau and compliments from a former catering manager.

Sinds de nieuwe eigenaar dit jaar is het weer heerlijk gezellig dineren hier. Het eten is heerlijk, grote porties en vriendelijk personeel. Wij komen zeker weer terug.

Jammer dat de keuken pas laat open gaat! Ik hou van een lekkere lunch en niet van broodjes. De wortel-sinaasappelsoep was voortreffelijk en ook de uitsmijter van bovengemiddelde kwaliteit met lekkere ham! De locatie op de hoek met de vreselijk drukke en dus lawaaierige Utrechtseweg is een nadeel.

Super vriendelijke bediening. Helaas hallucinante prijzen voor het eten, kleine porties en prijzen die zeker dubbel zo hoog zijn als de geboden waarde.

Gemoedelijke plek in Oosterbeek voor een bakkie koffie. Vriendelijk personeel, dorpse sfeer. Klein puntje van kritiek, de appeltaart.... recht uit de fabriek. Idem voor de slagroom, zakt in terwijl je ernaar kijkt. Verse appeltaart zou op deze plek niet misstaan

Nadat het failliet is verklaard en weer opnieuw is opgestart met het oude personeel vinden wij prachtig het eten was weer ouderwets goed toppie ga zo door

Vondt het jammer dat na een lange wandeling, en heerlijk gezellig tarasje een drankje wilde benutten en en de 2 verschillende meiden die bedien, me 2x zeiden we komen zo bin u mevrouw, heb bijna 20min. Gezeten helaas zonder wat te bestellen de drinken, zeer tries bedoeling, ben masr opgestaan en richting station gelopen om nasr huis te gaan terug nasr Limburg!...
