Restaurant Soirée in Wijk 02 Velp

(Once again) we had a wonderful meal! The chef's five-course menu was accompanied by a good glass of wine (or rather, glasses). This first course, veal, was truly delicious. The pike-perch with eel foam was also excellent.

We had a truly delicious surprise menu here, with a wonderful wine pairing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only minor complaint was that when choosing desserts (sweet or cheese), they didn't explain that there was an additional charge for the cheese board. It would have been worth it, but I think it would be more transparent to mention this upfront.

We went here for dinner based on the reviews. Either it's just us, or those reviews are biased. The food is decent. Definitely not a 9.5! The service starts off attentive and quick, but then becomes quite slow or sloppy. Quite pricey.

A lovely spot in the heart of Velp. A quiet and lively place where they also take the time to serve sustainable sparkling water (more restaurants should do that). It's called Ecotapwater. Friendly staff, too.

I don't normally write reviews, but this restaurant experience truly deserves one! We have absolutely nothing to complain about the entire evening: delicious and well-prepared food, incredibly reasonable prices, exceptionally friendly staff, and a stylish decor with attention to detail. For our main courses, we chose the coalfish, gnocchi, and mussels (catch of the day). Anyone in the area: go here!

Great place, delicious food, but 2 negative points. - Truly the worst Irish coffee I've ever had. This was a latte with a little bit of whisky, cold and which was also made by the owner. - The owner was especially stressed and trying to get dishes and glasses on the table like a ballerina was especially laughable.

Good food, good service, but a table next to the kitchen caused nuisance from the fluorescent light from the kitchen and odors from the sink. Shame.

5 course menu was very good. Corridors move through at the right pace. Tasty and not too heavy dishes; so no overfull feeling afterwards. Excellent matching wine advice. Service is attentive and has a good balance between formal and informal. The high tables around the bar offer a very pleasant and lively dining experience. For more peace and quiet, choose the regular tables. Deserve at least 13 to 14 points in Gault Millau. Asset for Velp!

Beautiful and attractively decorated restaurant! Quality food (been twice, both lunch and dinner) very good and beautifully served. Not a very large menu, be sure to check the website in advance. Service very friendly and tidy. Definitely recommended! Price/quality ratio absolutely good. Small comment: it might be an idea for the staff to wear a bistro/waiter apron, which looks a bit neater, but now it was a bit sloppy in terms of clothing.

My wife and I happened to be in the area. We live less than an hour away and wanted to have lunch. Not at regular restaurants, that's what we're looking forward to, partly thanks to the cooking princess at our house. Then I'd rather buy a sandwich at the bakery. And then I came across this restaurant, with rave reviews on TripAdvisor and Google, as well as a promising online presentation. Situated in a remarkably rich main street of a small village like Velp, parking is easily possible (with blue disc, 2 hours), but a challenge, especially with a larger car. After a somewhat standard entrance into the hall, which does not give away any real surprise, you walk past a beautiful bar on the right and many high tables. Continuing further into the restaurant, on the right, the open kitchen and then (in my opinion) the most beautiful part of the restaurant, with low tables, in line with the online presentation and breathing the atmosphere of the roaring 20's in the US in decoration and music, with also secretly music from later decades (but still well suited). The treatment and service is very friendly and attentive, in our case by one of the owners, a self-trained maître d'hôtel, who runs this business together with his partner (the chef). Unlike other restaurants with higher pretensions, there was no intrusive and routine asking every few minutes whether everything was satisfactory (which was the case, by the way). Furthermore, the tables, as well as the sanitary facilities, are extremely neat and clean (even equipped with loose terry cloth towels and Rituals hand soap). Unfortunately, I have often seen that differently. We did not order any unusual drinks for lunch that you cannot get elsewhere, so there is little to say about that. But high-quality glassware that was spotless was noticeable. Just like thick cotton napkins. As for the meal, despite the time of day (lunch time), with the exception of one dish, we were allowed to order whatever we wanted from the entire menu, including dinner dishes. We ended up spending more time there than we had planned. The dishes were exceptionally good, especially for the price. The tournedos (35.00) in particular was recommended for both of us. This one almost melts in your tongue. The restaurant has only been around for 13 months, but the experience itself was special enough to make me want to drive to Velp again, despite the distance. Promising too, especially considering that the owners are in their mid-20s.

On December 1, '23 we celebrated the 85th birthday of our father, grandfather and grandfather here. Group of 20 people, who ate á la Carte, mostly had 3 courses. A few skipped dessert. Reception with Cava El Serralet and an amuse gueule. 3 course menus and coffee for the connoisseurs The atmosphere, food and service were top notch. Only heard words of praise from the entire company. Despite the size of the group, everything went very smoothly. The dishes served were served at the correct temperature. Apart from a small serving error with the starter, the rest of the evening went smoothly. The management responded neatly, quickly and adequately. In short, an evening that will remain etched in our memories for a long time. Team Soirée continue like this *****

On Saturday evening we ended up sitting next to a swaggering cycling club of about twenty people. We would have liked to have known this earlier so that we could cancel. We were there at seven o'clock and the main course arrived at nine o'clock, because the cyclists were given food and especially drinks. There was nothing to complain about the quality of the food, but the portions are too small to satisfy your stomach. The owner did apologize and we received a voucher of 7.50 for a next visit...........

Gezellig met het gezin gegeten, wij a la carte en de kids hebben zich te goed gedaan aan alle lekkere hapjes, vooral de Ribfingers waren top; kort om; voor ieder wat wils. De bediening is super, vriendelijk, gezellig, accuraat en netjes. echt een aanrader.

Erg fijne eerste ervaring gehad tijdens borrel met hapjes. Erg lekker gegeten en gedronken, sfeer en vriendelijkheid personeel is top. Hygiëne toiletten goed bijgehouden. Een blik in de open keuken geeft een professionele en schone indruk. Wij komen zeker terug!

Geweldig restaurant, alles klopt hier. Chef kok Youri legt met passie aan tafel zijn mooie creaties uit die heerlijk en verassend smaken. Al het personeel draagt bij aan een mooie ervaring. Wat een geluk dat we hier bij toeval terecht zijn gekomen. Ik verheug me al op een volgende keer! Ik kijk in horeaca graag of men alles op orde heeft, de details verraden de aandacht. Vaak zie je bijv. dat de toiletten een sluitpost zijn, dat is dan een echt afknapper. Hier is ook dat perfect op orde! Chapeau!

Ik heb gister mogen genieten van de luxe high tea bij Soirée, het was absoluut geweldig. Het personeel was erg aardig en gastvrij, ze maakten de ervaring extra speciaal. Ik heb genoten van de heerlijke cava, thee en de verrukkelijke lekkernijen. Een absolute aanrader! Ik kom zeker terug.

Echt heerlijk gegeten, leuke uitstraling en goede bediening.

Echt lekker eten, maar het duurde erg lang (ruim een uur na voorgerecht) voor we ons hoofdgerecht kregen. Ook de drankglazen waren lang leeg. De serveerster was uiteindelijk erg vriendelijk en begripvol. Misschien komen we nog eens terug voor een 2e kans.
