I only had a latte macchiato after the Soester hike, but it was delicious! Deliciously creamy milk, hot coffee, and a delicious cookie. Just the way it should be! The location is also great, and we sat outside.

Nice place with ample parking. If you're visiting the National Military Museum and want to have lunch, this is a better and quieter option, just around the corner from the museum.

A wonderful lunch experience at Restaurant 't Hoogt. We came here for a sandwich and a sweet snack, and all our wishes were met. The hamburger was perfectly cooked and well-filled. The fries could have used a bit more salt, but there are salt shakers on the table for that. And the pulled chicken sandwich was very generously filled, as you can see in the photo. It wasn't too busy, and we were immediately seated and served by our server, Max, who guided us through the dishes perfectly. The cheesecake was also delicious and perfect if you want something slightly sweet after your sandwiches. All in all, a very good lunch.

We just ate here for the first time, and I was immediately struck by the friendliness. The food was also delicious, the atmosphere was good, and the seating was comfortable. So yes, I'm very pleased with it.

A very mediocre restaurant. It's too hot inside, and the sound echoes, making conversation with your table companion a challenge. A very basic menu. My order was taken incorrectly, so my table companion didn't get lunch while I did. Very disappointing on all fronts. A shame, because the location is quite beautiful.

On July 20, 2025, I celebrated my birthday here, and eight of us had a lovely meal. The staff was very friendly and efficient, excellent!!! I didn't check the bill properly when I paid, because when I got home, I discovered there was one more drink on the bill than we'd consumed. The food was delicious, but the young staff often left much to be desired. I've tried it again a few times now, but they still employ very young staff who pay little attention to the guests or the tables to be cleared. It's a shame... Great location, friendly and service-oriented staff, food served quickly, delicious, and reasonably priced. Ample parking. Unfortunately, the Soesterberg-Soest road is quite noisy. A noise barrier would make this atmosphere perfect.

We had a nice meal in a beautiful setting, but the tables are close together and noisy people next to you make it less relaxing

Simple restaurant. The staff came across a bit unorganised. We were sitting for a bit without being attended while a couple sat next to our table 10 minutes later and got attended straight away. However all ok and liked the food.

Really sucks! Arrived at the restaurant around 11:15 by motorbike for a cup of coffee and lunch. Was welcomed nicely and could choose a table. At that moment there were 2-3 other tables occupied. Coffee was brought immediately, very tasty! At 11:30 I ordered a 12 o'clock for lunch. At 11:45 someone from the service came to me and asked if I had received my order yet. I had not yet, so he went after it. At 12 o'clock the same story. At 12:15 I decided to skip lunch and pay for my coffee and fresh juice. No offense to the service, but the kitchen could do with some time management.

Have a drink on the way. It is nice to stay there for a bite and/or drink. At the time itself I saw few people with a (visible) disability. The access is possible but requires some (in)effort if you have difficulty walking because of crossing a busy road. I do not have information for wheelchairs. That is not possible via the stairs. Perhaps there is a more accessible entrance. After all, the hut has to be supplied and that will certainly not happen with a mountain goat.

Nice place to have lunch on the terrace in the summer (twelve o'clock!). Enough and friendly staff. Ruine parking lot on both sides of the road.

Had something to eat here on the way back home. Very friendly service, nice menu. The food was really very good. Nice, cozy decoration. And also a very clean, large and beautiful toilet room which I think is worth mentioning.🤗

Disappointing lunch experience. During our lunch we were not noticed by the staff for a long time. When we were finally able to order, things went wrong at first. In the end it turned out that the order had gone through, but as a result we received a lukewarm sandwich. We also saw orders going wrong at other tables. Meanwhile, the waitresses preferred to be on their pink private phones near the kitchen rather than dealing with the guests. As compensation we were offered our drinks for free, but this was spontaneously forgotten when paying. We didn't even report it because we just wanted to get away as quickly as possible. Not recommended.

Right next to a park with lots of tracks for walking & cycling. Had the butterfly shrimp for starer & the sole for main course, both decent quality & tasty. Service was great, wish they had an English menu. Will go back to try other things on the menu.

Had a good lunch. Food was tasty, not really special but just good. Service is very friendly but not very fast, and the wait for food also took a while. However, not a problem due to the nice weather. You can sit on the terrace and enjoy the surroundings.

Tasty main dish in a lovely setting The main dish was very tasty and well-prepared, but the desserts were a bit disappointing. The location is really nice, with open windows, wooden details, and a cozy atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall good experience.

One of our favorite restaurants in Soest: 't Hoogt can actually be found at some height. From the terrace you have a beautiful view of the surrounding nature reserve. You'll be cozy and cozy inside. The menu is fairly standard, but the dishes are well prepared. The price/quality ratio is excellent! Service more than excellent!

The restaurant apparently has a new owner and that is at the expense of customer focus. The staff is very busy with everything, but the last two times the reception was very chaotic, messy and disappointing. Shame!

Beautiful location. Were with a large group, also no problem. Super help, friendly and fast help. And the food was very tasty and more than enough. Definitely go there if you are in the area. Unfortunately the view is not that far due to the fog, but I can imagine that in the summer you can see beautifully far.

The curry was aromatic and flavorful, but the spice level was too intense—offering a mild option would cater to more preferences.

How this restaurant has gone downhill since the takeover. Ate schnitzel that had so much breadcrumbs that you could barely taste the meat. Children running around who kept stealing the sweets from the counter and parents who apparently think that's normal. Sat more quietly at McDonald's. A wasted evening.

Here you can eat well. We were here on a Saturday during lunchtime and had a good meal here. The food is not a culinary highlight but just good Dutch food.

The staff were friendly and received us with a warm welcome on a Monday evening. The prawns in cream sauce were an absolute hit and highly recommended! Unfortunately, the main course was not to everyone's taste as the meat was a bit tough. My salmon steak was also almost raw. The dessert was delicious! All in all a great place for a unique pit stop. But a tip: the path is not illuminated at night and runs along a motorway. Be careful when crossing, because the cars pass by!

Service not very smooth had to wait fifteen minutes before I was helped staff was busier talking to each other in the doorway and forgot the order when I asked for it said oh yes we will order it again in the kitchen

The food was fine, but messing up a sandwich is incredibly difficult. One friendly girl tried her best, but the rest of the staff seemed uninterested. A young guy struggled with even the simplest questions and trudged around as if completely lost. Please, go work as a shelf stacker; not everyone is cut out for hospitality. It all took sooooo long. Waiting over 45 minutes for sandwiches and sandwiches is simply unacceptable. I might be more sympathetic if the staff were running their butts off and the entire terrace was full, but that wasn't the case here at all.

It was a busy Sunday and food was good. Service not so hot. Delayed drinks, food arrived before some of the drinks items.. Waiters were friendly but I think to few for the amount of customers. Would go back again.

Atmosphere and service more than compensate for the average quality of the food (good enough, but not exceptional) Relax after a nice walk or museum visit. Really fun and no nonsense. We like coming here. There is also a nice playground next to it.

On the terrace in the sun, it turned out that the restaurant was not yet open, but it was for a group who were having a party. Nevertheless, we still got coffee with a delicious apple pie.

Many people in the service are busy with each other or on the phone. Outside looks nice, but there is a lot of road noise.

Smart if you reserve in advance for dinner. Nice friendly young service. Understand their work. Smooth service, you don't have to wait for hours for the next course. Delicious food in a nice environment and location.

Beach tent in the forest. A simple meal without too much fuss. Terrace could be cleaner in some places. It's a pity that service was served on the road side and that the terrace on the side of the nature reserve was closed. A nice location for lunch. "Do you want to drink something?" I was asked "Can I have the menu first?" I asked? "Please, if you would like to order a drink first and then dinner, that would be great." Of course I order dinner first and then the drink. I have to think harder in advance about a second drink and a possible dessert. As a starter we had the "warm" goat cheese with bacon. The goat cheese could have been warmer. It was still cold on the inside. This can be done easily; I can do it with microwave and plancha or grill. Serving in a hot cast iron pan may be more convenient for a restaurant and gives a nice show effect. The dressing was nicely balanced. The raw onion predominated. I would blanch that. As a main course we had the brie stuffed pork tenderloin, served with vegetables, sauce and crispy fries with mayonnaise. Unfortunately, the pork tenderloin seemed overhydrated. The mayonnaise could have been left out. All desserts were served with ice cream. A dessert with coffee without ice cream would have been nice. We skipped dessert.

23-7-24: climbing house and swing available for the children. Dogs are welcome. Staff is very friendly. Minor points are. Drink was pushed a bit too much on arrival. There was a lot of dust and cobwebs on the terrace in the corner of the sofa, above our heads and against the window. Food: The goat cheese from the oven was very safe. It was served very nicely, but I would have preferred it warm. I suggested serving it in a cast iron pan so that it can be served warmer. The pork tenderloin was fine, but the purchasing choice was slightly less quality.

It was super tasty. Steak was tasty too. But lady with blond hair. Only wanted one before course and after course. But we didn't want to. She was a bit worried. For the rest it is great fun for older people, not for 20 year old people. We would like to come there again!!! Was really tasty.

Sat here for over fifteen minutes without being noticed, while several ladies from the service walked past. Ladies wear blinders. Don't look at what's playing on the terrace. Very unlikely I'll stop here again.

A well-known address for good food for us. Just like last time, we both had a club sandwich. Was well taken care of with more than enough and tasty toppings. Bread, both white and brown, was of poor quality this time. Should they really do something about it?
