Restaurant Tres in Feijenoord

We wanted to share our thoughts from last night and honestly I agreed the feedback from your previous guest in Tripadvisor that it was a horror night. 3 weken geleden had ik al een afspraak gemaakt om mijn man te verrassen voor Vaderdag. Om eerlijk te zijn, toen hij erachter kwam dat we naar jullie restaurant zouden gaan, wilde hij niet doorgaan. Het eten is echt goed. We hebben geen klachten over het eten en de service. Maar de prijs is het niet waard. Dit is echt een oplichter. Waarom moeten we de hoeveelheid water betalen met een bedrag van 100 euro afgezien van de 2 flessen pellegrino. Als de gast besluit om de alcoholvrije drank te drinken. Moet je op deze manier aan je omzet komen? Het maakt niet uit of je een klein restaurant hebt maar dit is niet de juiste manier. Ook serveerde EMY ons het perenfruit, ja ze vroeg het maar ze zei er niet bij dat het niet bij de 18 gangen hoorde en dat we extra moesten betalen. de prijs die we betaalden was zo verrassend dat we niet tevreden waren. We reizen de hele wereld rond en we hebben in chique restaurants gegeten, maar onze eerste keer hebben we dit soort oplichters meegemaakt. Dit is zeker een onvergetelijke ervaring en we hebben de fout van het kiezen van dit restaurant geleerd. Dit is zeker geen aanrader. Door deze ervaring heb ik de hele nacht niet geslapen en was ik nerveus over wat er met ons zou gebeuren.

In a word 'wow'. There are actually no words for the culinary experience we had last Saturday. Not to reveal too much, because you have to experience it, no details of the incredibly tasty dishes, but compliments for the team who made our evening special with a lot of dedication, enthusiasm and, above all, craftsmanship. Save some money before you go, but it's more than worth it.

I am far overdue in writing this review, but Tres was such an amazing experience that I couldn't leave these things unsaid. I had the good fortune to dine at Tres in June. There were 3 of us that were traveling from the US across a few cities in Europe for a couple of weeks. We ate at multiple restaurants with Michelin stars or comparable, and Tres stands out far above the rest. From the unique dining experience in multiple stages throughout the restaurant to the thoughtful wine pairings (which were outstanding), and most importantly the exceptional preparation of the menu. I had the regular menu while my wife requested vegetarian. Often we find the vegetarian menu is just the regular menu with a vegetable in place of the meat. Not at Tres, where each dish was obviously contemplated with as much care as everything else in the restaurant. All this with incredible genuine hospitality from the whole team in a truly remarkable setting (the room is stunning). Tres stands out as one of the best dinner experiences I've ever been fortunate enough to have.

OMG! What a fantastic evening we had. The whole picture was correct. Bombs in your mouth accompanied by delicious wines. Everything explained perfectly and with skill and passion.

We had a very delicious meal in an intimate atmosphere. The asparagus dish with Jerusalem artichoke is still etched in my memory. We will definitely come back for another season!

Tres Rotterdam A warm welcome accompanied by a beautiful glass of champagne whose aromas greet you as you pour it. There is a beautiful dance here between dishes and wines, the identity of both is beautifully reflected in the velvety wines, and the playful, creative of the dishes, close to nature and to yourself.

Brilliant flavours, perfect service, beautiful location. Summer menu was better than expected. Definitely come back!

Dining at Tres Rotterdam is a revelation. With over 10 meticulously crafted dishes, each one celebrates the finest Dutch ingredients. The intimate setting, with just 12 seats, makes you feel like a cherished guest at a private feast. The chefs' passion and creativity shine through in every course, blending tradition with innovation with an amazing knowledge of wine pairing with each course if you opt in. It's an experience that feels both exclusive and warmly personal—definitely worthy of a Michelin star.

First of all: the food is phenomenal, it is incredible what they can do with a limited set of Dutch ingredients. The sommelier also knows her trade and is infectiously enthusiastic about the wines and even turns the coffee into a party. Also the concept that you sit in different places in a historic cellar. and the food is prepared with precision in front of you is a nice touch. What was striking was that, despite having explicitly asked in advance, we were not served entirely in Dutch. That detracts from such an evening for us to have to hear the beautiful stories about the dishes in a foreign language. After I commented on it, the chef said that's just how it happened and instructed the sous chef to talk slowly. How can you insult your customer, I'm not simple! Eventually there was a Dutch explanation. You would think it was solved. But later in the evening it was back to English again. In order not to spoil the atmosphere, I left it at that, but when I spoke to the owner about it afterwards, she thought it was a strange request. I just had to be happy with the international character. Of course it is wonderful when chefs from all over the world come together. But if I start cooking in France at a place at this level, I really have to take a language course before I can tell customers about the dishes. And starting in English without being asked is unthinkable. A simple question about the customer's preference would solve it.

Unfortunately the restaurant staff were extremely rude. I booked through the phone 10 min before i arrive, i wasnt told that its a set menu and no catering for allergies. When i was about to leave with my friends the staff were demanding us to pay for food we didnt eat, saying they prepared the food meanwhile i only booked 10 min in advance. Disappointing attitude

From the first steps inside to the chef walking us out 3 hours later, this was a unique experience with delicious, local food and creative presentation. Get the wine pairing, you won’t be disappointed.

What a special experience, both in terms of food and atmosphere! But we ultimately thought the total price (more than 600 euros for a dinner for 2 with accompanying drinks) was very high for a restaurant without a star.

Mind blowing! Had a really great evening. The combination of dynamics in the restaurant, the dishes and the wines are innovative and a great tip for anyone who loves gastronomy. Special shout out to Michael, Emy and their team. Continue this!

Unique place and people. Great food experience. Different than anything else. Definitely again.

Not sure why this restaurant haven’t been awarded by the Guide Michelin so far. An outstanding location in the basement with a cozy atmosphere. Creative und innovative dishes. Emy and Michael are incredibly lovely hosts. We were also very impressed by the non-alcoholic pairing - the bell pepper drink will stay in our minds. They have created a place thats absolutely different and very unique. Thank you for this exciting evening - we’re sure there will be more to come.

What a talent to turn an old wharf cellar into such a concept and such tasty dishes with very creative and elaborate applications of fish (at least during our menu). Right down to the desserts! Each dish (from amuse to coffee there are approximately 17; four and a half hours of indulgence) is a visual picture and explosion of flavors. Lots of umami flavors, and combinations I would never think of. With fantastic service ('are you left or right-handed': never asked anywhere!). And you can see how everything is made. Amy also serves delicious wines and talks about them with love. The wine pairing is just too much in my opinion. I would have liked slightly less full glasses or a half-glass arrangement. But that is at most 'too much of a wonderful thing'.

Really enjoyed our evening here not too long ago. The flavors were very special — both of the 18 courses and the wine. The culinary journey starts immediately after the entrance, where a nice seat, warm cloths, a welcome drink and soon the first courses/amuse-bouche await you. Emy's wine selection is accompanied by fun stories about its origins. As far as I'm concerned, the wine goes perfectly with the dishes! Everything at Tres has been thought about; from where you place your spoon, to the furniture and the selection of wine glasses. To my regret, I only discovered that the latter concerns hand-blown glassware from Switzerland when a glass slipped from my hand. Michael is incredibly composed and relaxed when, I think completely in his element, he puts the last pieces of the puzzle together for the dishes, with the help of his colleague. All this happens close to the seats; you get it all. From the seats and on the way to the toilet you catch a glimpse of the kitchen (equipment), which is certainly interesting to pay attention to. In addition: a lot of time, experience and creativity go into the dishes, the preparations for which start days in advance — but the team explains everything to you. We ended the evening in the lounge, on the same (underground) floor as the restaurant. The last courses there certainly do not disappoint. All in all, we would love to come back again! I am very curious about the influences this strong entrepreneurial duo used during their journey through Japan. TLDR; we are fans. Thank you for the good care and the fantastic food.

Restaurant Tres offers an exceptional dining adventure that starts with a unique journey through the restaurant. Beginning upstairs, you're guided through the kitchen and onwards to the intimate counter seating. This personalized approach sets the stage for a memorable experience. The staff's friendliness and attentiveness add to the charm. What sets Tres apart is their deep knowledge of the wines they serve, which pairs wonderfully with locally sourced produce used to create outstanding dishes. Every aspect, from the warm hospitality to the carefully curated background of the wines, contributes to making Tres a standout dining destination.

Tres is a culinary powerhouse which just misses the full 5 star rating due to the wine pairing not working with the food. Eating here is absolutely a must if you get the chance, the food is experimental and perfected, flavors are unique and balanced and the atmosphere and service is next level. Going here was fantastic, and the only flaw I can give tres is the wine pairing. The wines on their own are for the most part magnificent and unique. But they do not pair well with the food. A true wine pairing should allow the food to elevate the taste of the wine and vice versa. However a sip of the wine would cut through the flavor of the food quite roughly. For this calibre of restaurant the wine pairing should be perfect, and hence I say 4/4 but would give 4.5 if possible

Very special experience. The food is really delicious and the service is great! The decor is also beautiful. All in all we had a fantastic evening.

Very bad service. We were sent away with a stroller in which our baby had to sleep even though we had reserved for 20 people. He had to sleep in a high chair. To top it all off, the service also started shouting

Tonight we had an exceptionally delicious meal at Tres, had eaten here once before and really enjoyed it. This is the best tapas restaurant in the area, if I say so myself. Please be careful that no dishes are forgotten, fortunately this was resolved, the customer friendliness and quality of the food brings my rating to 5 stars!

What a unique, special culinary experience! It does cost a bit, but for our 20th wedding anniversary you can do something special. Location is between 2 restaurants, a black glass facade with a small nameplate and doorbell. As soon as you enter you are pampered. Dinner is downstairs, literally in an old cellar. Very attractively decorated, good service and the food is incredibly good. Highly recommended!!!

What a beautiful experience with no less than 15-18 courses and a maximum of 12 place settings. You start in the lobby, then you sit at the bar and witness how most of your courses are prepared and you end up in another seating area. All courses are of a very high standard. However, so does the price.

The experience, setting and service was great but the food.. I actually did not enjoy all the dishes. Especially the dessert was just not tasty and awkward to eat. Also the alcoholfree drink menu tasted more like lukewarm healthy juices.

Fantastisch. Buitencategorie. Geen andere woorden voor. Amy & Michael zijn ontzettend leuk en hebben ons een top avond gegeven. Niet-alcoholisch arrangement zeker een aanrader. Kan niet wachten op de volgende!

Het kost een paar centen maar het is een geweldige belevenis. Je bent een paar uur van de wereld. Het voelde als een minivakantie. Heel sfeervol en intiem. Prachtige en heerlijke gerechtjes en lekkere wijnen.

Eten bij Tres is een ware beleving die, door de mysterieuze entree, al begint voordat je het restaurant binnenstapt. Het eten is verrassend en erg smaakvol en ook de wijnen passen er erg goed bij. Er hangt een leuke ongedwongen sfeer en je hangt aan de lippen wanneer er iets vertelt wordt over de wijnhuizen en gerechten. Absoluut de moeite waard en wij komen zeker nog eens terug in een ander seizoen!

Waarschuwing. !!! Boek dit zogenaamde restaurant niet Het heeft werkelijk niks met eten te maken . Schande is het dat dit mag bestaan , het slaat werkelijk nergens o , je moet voordat je een reservering maakt voor 2 personen al op voorhand een ticket betalen van € 370,- Het restaurant is net een grafkelder en ze laten je zitten aan een ordinaire kale bar samen met andere mensen die dit vreselijke nep restaurant geboekt hebben . Zogenaamde eetbare bloemen krijg je geserveerd en andere rare dingen die niks met eten te maken hebben Een wij kaart met daar alleen maar wijnen op met minimaal € 200,- per fles en diegene die de wijnkaart let zien wist werkelijk niks van wijn af Ga hier niet naartoe want dan heb je een horror avond

Als ik Tres méér dan vijf sterren zou kunnen geven, hadden ze er meer dan vijf gekregen. Het is een fantastisch concept waar je in de watten wordt gelegd, verrast wordt, heerlijk eet en drinkt, en door het personeel als royalty wordt behandeld. Ik ga hier niet vertellen wat er precies gebeurde, want juist de verrassing is een groot onderdeel belevenis. Wat ik wel ga vertellen is: spaar er even voor, en weet dan dat het hier niet goedkoop is, maar elke euro meer dan waard. Ik ga ook sparen, want ik heb nu al zin in het herfstmenu!

Een avondje bij Tres mag gerust worden gecatalogeerd als een belevenis. Met amper een 16-tal mensen rond een kookeiland genieten van maar liefst 18 kleine creaties (die veelal toch het niveau van een amuse overstijgen) en af en toe uitgenodigd worden in de open keuken om die creaties te zien ontstaan, het is bijzonder. Gelukkig betreft het geen show cooking maar is het ook bijzonder lekker en verfijnd wat wordt gepresenteerd. Chef Michael van der Kroft experimenteert heel veel voor hij met z’n recepten klaar is en dat resulteert dus in een vaste menu die wisselt met de seizoenen. De non alcoholic pairing mocht van mij iets avontuurlijker (alleen sapjes, geen mocktails), de wijnen waren wel OK. De koffie op het eind was helaas bijzonder slap en de rekening pittig (maar dat weet je op voorhand). Wat een fantastische avond en een geweldige culinaire ervaring! Tres staat voor ongekende experimentele en eigenzinnige kwaliteit; in de keuken, qua service en zeker ook qua wijn! Een anagram van Tres is "ster" en voor mij is het onbegrijpelijk dat de Michelin Gids Restaurant Tres hiermee nog niet beloond heeft, al zal dat waarschijnlijk niet lang meer duren! We had a very personal and unique experience. Would recommend for those seeking intimate and private dinning, fresh ingredients are all locally sourced and every dish was explained in detail. We enjoyed over 10 courses last night and had some great wine too. We will try to visit again!

Gisterenavond een bijzondere culinaire avond meegemaakt in restaurant Tres Rotterdam. Man, man, man wat een smaken, geuren en plaatjes. In een van de oudste entrepots van Rotterdam een avond culinair GENIETEN. Naast deze ambiance een heel enthousiast en gedreven team Tres die deze avond onvergetelijk maakten.

Een geweldige ervaring met persoonlijke aandacht en een avontuur aan smaak. Als je van eten en smaakbeleving houdt is dit zeker een ervaring dat je niet mag missen!

Geweldige ervaring! Je merkt dat over elk concept goed is nagedacht en er alles aan wordt gedaan om de gasten een bijzondere avond te geven. Zeer bijzondere gerechten en wijnen gehad. We komen zeker terug voor het volgende menu!

Fantastisch met betrekking tot elk aspect van de totale beleving. Fantastisch onwaarschijnlijk mooi eten, uitstekende wijnen en zeer gastvrij. We kunnen niet wachten tot het Autumn menu!

One of the few hidden gems in town. This place is simply amazing. Every season the manu changes, and watch out you will like to come back every season. The food is of a multi Michelin star quality (and trust me, I’ve seen a few). The hospitality is of another level, never have I felt so welcome. Prepare for a 4 hour long intimate dinner with the best foods and wine possible. Michael is an amazing chef and Emy is super host and sommelier.

Been here twice now. By far the best restaurant experience ever! They have everything down to the details. An amazing compelling experience from beginnen to end.

Smaken en kleuren van een keuken gebaseerd op Nederlandse producten... de zoektocht naar grondstoffen is een constante in de keuken van Tres... het menu is een constante ontdekking, elke hap die de smaakpapillen bereikt zorgt voor een gastronomisch orgasme buiten elk schema dat de markt biedt... zeker een van mijn favoriete restaurants in Nederland.

Geweldige avond gehad ! Met top gerechten, heerlijke wijnen en bizar goede koffie

Ongelooflijk goed restaurant. Zeker 2 michelin sterren waard. Fantastisch hoe je wordt meegenomen door het restaurant en op verschillende plekken een gang eet, waaronder in de keuken. De setting aan de bar is heel intiem, met veel persoonlijke aandacht van het ontzettend vaardige personeel. Ongeveer 15 gangen gehad, die, op het gummybeertje van vlees na, allemaal heerlijk waren.

Bij binnenkomst word je ontvangen in de lobby. Je jas word aangenomen en je krijgt een starter drankje . Daarna word je naar de chefs table gebracht, waar de gastvrouw je het 1 en ander verteld. Vervolgens word je elke gang verrast met een prachtige creatie en een heerlijk drank ( non alcoholisch arrangement kan ook ) iedereen is kok, maar alle chefs komen ook je gerechten aan tafel brengen. Alle gerechten zijn met zorg bereid en local verkregen. Passie en liefde straalt van alles af. Het is misschein prijzig op het oog, maar elke cent waard. Liever 4 keer per jaar naar tres dan naar elke week pasta afhalen. Heerlijke ervaring bedankt voor de leuke dag.

Eten bij Tres is een ervaring die je niet onbewogen laat. De heerlijke gerechten en mooie wijnen zijn het middelpunt van een fantastische lunch of diner. In het restaurant zelf verlies je voor even het bewustzijn van tijd en ruimte. Je leeft alleen nog in het moment, waardoor de smaken nog intenser worden. De kok, zijn staf en de maître waren heel gastvrij en toegankelijk. Tres is een dikke aanrader!

Wat een ongelooflijk mooi concept. Een echte beleving in smaak, gastvrijheid en ambiance. Smaakexplosies en echte verrassingen op je bord en in je mond. En dat met ingrediënten die allemaal uit Nederland komen. Op naar een ster. Totaal-belevenis. Niet goedkoop maar beter hier 1 keer eten dan 3 keer in een gemiddeld restaurant.

Wat een fantastische ervaring is dit! Geweldige technieken, maar bovenal ontzettend uitgesproken en gedurfde smaken. Wij waren enorm onder de indruk van de gerechten, de sfeer, de geweldige mensen en het gehele concept. Alles van Nederlandse bodem en men neemt risico’s in de bereiding die waanzinnig uitpakken. Ongekend in Nederland! Tot snel weer!

Wat een geweldig restaurant. Sfeer dikke 10, eten is fantastisch en zeer origineel. We komen zeker terug. Wat hebben wij genoten.

Uit eten bij Tres is een totaalbeleving. De smaken komen perfect tot hun recht in combinatie met de bijpassende wijnen. Elke hap was een smaakexplosie. Heerlijk gegeten in een prachtige ambiance. Zowel service als sfeer was super! De bediening heeft oog voor detail en is zeer gastvrij. Genoten van de culinaire creaties op topniveau! Wij hebben echt enorm genoten!
