Another delicious lunch. My sister had a delicious satay with all the trimmings, and I had a wonderful pancake with bacon. Delicious coffee and orange juice. As always, a visit to this restaurant was a wonderful experience, both for me and for the guest I sometimes go with (in this case, my sister). The service is always quick, prompt, and yet very professional. The ambiance is always very pleasant, whether you're sitting on the beautiful terrace or in the lovely interior. The atmosphere is always beautiful and spacious. And the food is always absolutely delicious. I've literally never had a bad experience there. So, a full 5 stars from me, well deserved! And on behalf of my sister too!

We regularly visit your restaurant (twice a year). But this time, we weren't completely satisfied! The service gets a 4, and the main courses were bland. Unfortunately, a disappointment!

The food was excellent. Lovely touches like an amuse-bouche and a complimentary coffee to finish. It wasn't a problem that we even asked for potatoes for the biggest eaters. In short: we'll definitely be back!

Are there rats running along the entrance?

Restaurant Vijenburg is highly recommended for its food, atmosphere, and staff. The problem for people with disabilities is that there's no accessible toilet, but a toilet for people with reduced mobility: that means one grab rail instead of two. That's a shame if you need one.

Cozy restaurant with plenty of space inside and out. We have a delicious drinks platter with lots of variety.

They serve a delicious calf's liver here so my day was good.

A bit old-fashioned, the location is great, the restaurant needs a trendy makeover then it could be a top location!

Just a wonderful place for a snack and a drink, alone, together or with a group, of super good quality. Free parking, just put a blue parking card in front of the window to park for 3 hours.

Delicious food on Easter Sunday. Service very welcoming and friendly. The food was neatly prepared and tasted great. The atmosphere could be a little warmer, but that is of course a personal thing.

Beautiful spot! First we walked about 7km, you can really go in any direction from the restaurant. Then we sat on the terrace on the first beautiful day of the year. We ordered a friends plate and drank wine. Service friendly and smooth. Quality of the food better than expected. We did pay quite a bit, but that was due to the many wines during that beautiful afternoon. There was a private event inside, but it could easily be combined with the terrace. We will definitely come back, highly recommended!

Delicious and enjoyable meal in the south of Rotterdam. Christmas Eve was good service and easy parking. The tram also stops nearby, so you don't have to come by car. You won't find anything better in this segment in the area. I think this was the 20th visit and I think I will reach 50.

Delicious food, excellent service. When you enter, you really feel like you're in a fancy restaurant. We celebrated our wedding anniversary there 25 years ago. What I thought was a shame is that the entrance door is so shabby. A good lick of paint won't hurt. The entrance hall is also a bit shabby. The floor is severely damaged right by the door. There was a long mat to prevent dirty feet in the rest of the restaurant and the weather was dirty, so of course the mat was also dirty. But that mat was halfway down the hallway. And while the restaurant itself, with black and good tones, is beautiful, I thought the entrance and the door were really unacceptable. It is the first impression you give the guests. And it wasn't that good. Very unfortunate, because the food and atmosphere themselves are fine.

We eat here regularly and the food and service are always top notch. The North Sea Sole filleted at the table is recommended. A nice cold white beer will make your day.

Had another great mussel matinee this afternoon. It was again a wonderful buffer with plenty of food and pleasant music. Perfect and very hospitable service. It was perfectly organized again. See you next time. Then for your efforts and that of your team! 😂👍🥂🤣

Nice opportunity for walking in a wooded area.

It was good food. There are gluten-free options, but I think it is risky if you share food with each other on floors that also contain food with gluten. For the starter and after course I got my own plate with gluten-free food, which was very nice, but the main course was shared. And if there are already crumbs on the table and the others have already touched food containing gluten, the risk of cross-contamination increases, which I was not comfortable with. I couldn't eat the fries either because they are prepared in the same fryer as food with gluten. Shame. I didn't get sick, but I ate very restlessly. It is better to keep gluten-free and other dishes completely separate for people with allergies and intolerances.

Good brasserie...food is tasty, fresh and well prepared...it takes 1 hour for the starter to arrive...and then almost 1 hour for the main course...it's a shame that it takes so terribly long...the food is tasty... but it just takes too long before it is served... it is often just a bit too busy... too many people at the same time... that may be why it takes so long... the atmosphere is also good and the staff is friendly... but you sometimes have to wait a little too long for your dishes... and that is unfortunately a little less... although I remember from a previous time we ate here... that it went faster then... so maybe was this only this time.

Delicious food, highly recommended after a long day.

Great place for lunch. You can sit comfortably on the terrace. The service was good, although sometimes you had to make some effort to get attention. The fried mussels with fries were fine, but the carpaccio needed a little (olive) oil. Price quality is right.

This really is a top restaurant for very reasonable prices. I recently dined here again with a larger group of people, delicious dishes from the large menu. The service is spontaneous, correct and smooth. I notice that more often here. It can be very busy in the restaurant around dinner time, but they always manage to get the beautiful dishes on the table quite quickly. That was the case again. The quality was again top notch this time. We all greatly appreciated the meat and fish dishes, starters and desserts. Very affordable for this quality too. The ambiance of Vrijenburg is really beautiful. Whether I'm sitting on the cozy terrace with a beautiful view of the nearby mill and the greenery, or I'm sitting inside (very stylish and pleasant appearance inside), I always feel wonderfully comfortable. In short, we all enjoyed the food, the smooth and pleasant service and the atmosphere. As a result of this dinner, Vrijenburg has gained some new fans, who will certainly come back themselves. This restaurant is also very suitable for lunch. Delicious sandwiches, pancakes and many other top lunch items.

A location we actually passed by by accident. A very positive experience with the staff; social, friendly, you name it and we enjoyed a very nice lunch for a fair price. Excessive, fresh products... no wonder they have been around for more than 30 years. This accident made a lasting impression.

Dishes good, service nice and slow

Delicious food, great service, unfortunately for us the weather was very nice and despite the sun blinds it was very warm behind the glass where we sat. But otherwise a nice experience. Will definitely come back.

We had high tea with just 10 people. The food (snacks) was delicious and fresh. The drinks (pots of tea) were always well replenished and the service was very friendly

Voor deze afspraak (deels vriendelijk, deels zakelijk) hadden we Vrijenburg uitgekozen. En wederom was dit een uitstekende keuze. Ik had de hertenbiefstukjes en die waren weer fenomenaal. De kwaliteit is altijd heel hoog, zowel van het eten als de bediening. En het blijft een mooie plek om te bezoeken.

Had dinner there on June 16 with 6 people, can only say hats off to the excellent meals, the friendly service and waiters, this really makes you as a customer very happy 😉

Great location with nice outdoor terrace, good food.

Lunch was good, not much choice on the menu. The terrace is a great place to relax when the weather is nice Let me edit this after visiting again and commenting on it. There wasn't much choice FOR US. We like to have lunch with a loaf of bread and something warm on it and then there are only a few choices. Furthermore, I didn't take any stars off for that, so I don't really understand the problem.

It all took a very long time for the food and drinks. Popular among the elderly.

Way too expensive for what you get

Excellent food. The bavette was a bit tough. The rest was good. Free parking in front of the door. Tram 25 also stops in front of the door.

Fantastic service to start with! My partner and I arrived on a Sunday for a quick lunch, unexpectedly without a reservation. However, we saw that there was an event on location. So we decided to walk back to the car. The friendly host came after us to tell us that we could sit outside on the terrace. (The terrace was our personal preference because of the sun) we received excellent help, the best host also brought us some blankets because of the fresh breezes outside. All in all a very nice experience! The food was immediately layered!! We will definitely come back again!

Geweldig, kok had speciaal een vegan 3 gangen menu gemaakt, perfect, heerlijk, voor de andere gasten was het ook compleet af. Top ook de bediening

Kleine kaart maar heerlijke gerechten, vriendelijke en snelle bediening.

Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Je voeltje echt wel kom. En er was geen tijds druk supper. En we aten er met o personen.

Gezellig buiten gezeten, het begin van.d. middag, dus nog rustig. Wij komen vast nog Eens terug. Heerlijk gegeten.

Vijf sterren geef ik bijna nooit, maar dit is een goed restaurant. Uitnodigend, vriendelijk personeel, correct optredend als tegen de regels van het huis wordt ingegaan (geen badpak in het restaurant (nabijgelegen zwembad)) rekening houdend met de klanten bij warm weer door voldoende parasols voor wie dat wil....een koel briesje vanaf het nabij gelegen meer dus wat wil je nog meer....

We hebben echt genoten van de amuse, 't eten en ijs na, heerlijk was het allemaal.

Vond her er leuk om er een keer geweest te zijn na vele jaren er voor bij te rijden het eten was goed en de service was prima maar de aankledin is niet mijn ding dat vond ik wat killig

Een sfeervol klein restaurant met heerlijk eten. De high tea is echt een aanrader. Die word echt met veel liefde bereid, dat proef je. Ook voor diner kun je hier prima terecht. Heerlijk eten voor een eerlijke prijs. De bediening is erg vriendelijk. Dit restaurant is echt een topper onder de rook van Rotterdam.

Lekker gegeten in een prima entourage!

Of ik nu een avondgerecht, een lunch of zoals nu gewoon een lekkere uitsmijter kom eten hier, het is altijd weer supergoed! Dit blijft toch een echte aanrader. De sfeer, het interieur, de rustige zachte muziek, het is nog steeds heel prettig. De bediening zoals altijd vlot, correct en toch heel spontaan.

Lekkere ontspannen sfeer, met een leuke eenvoudige, maar goede kaart. Prima gelegen aan belangrijke uitvalswegen.

Een leuk en betaalbaar midweek menu

Genoten van het eten tijdens een familie feestje. Goed bereikbaar met de auto.

Na 2 1/2 jaar kwam de lunchclub weer bijeen. Het blijft een fijn restaurant met vriendelijk personeel en een goede kaart. We wachten niet meer zo lang.

Wat hebben we genoten. We vierden dat 2 oud leerlingen 25 geleden bij mij in de klas zaten om Nederlands onderwijs te volgen. Het eten maakte dit nog feestelijker. Fantastisch restaurant. Vriendelijke bediening. Zalig eten. Kortom. Top locatie

Vooral als het mooi weer is is het goed toeven op een heerlijk terras. Het eten is er ook goed en lekker.

Heerlijk gegeten!!! Met 5 personen en allemaal zeer enthousiast. Sfeer is zeer gemoedelijk, keurige bediening maar door het hoge plafond is het minder knus hoewel je duidelijk ziet dat er veel aandacht aan gegeven is. Een echte aanrader zowel voor lunch als diner!!!

Goed eten en bediening. De entree vanaf de parkeerplaats is wel erg triest en donker.

Wat een geweldig leuk restaurant is dit. Een vriendelijke bediening en je wordt er verwend met kleine extra's. Wij waren met zijn zessen en hebben eerst gezellig op het leuke buitenterras geborreld met heerlijke bitterballen Daarna hebben we binnen in het leuk ingerichte restaurant het arrangement " Time to share" genomen. Je krijgt dan een aantal voorgerechten, hoofdgerechten en desserts die je met elkaar deelt. Alles was leuk opgediend op etagieres en was super lekker en ruime porties. Hier komen we zeker terug. Dank aan allen voor het heerlijke eten en gastvrijheid. Dikke pluim.

Of je ga hier naartoe voor de lunch of het diner, het is eigenlijk altijd goed. Zeer vriendelijk personeel wat weet wat service bieden betekent. Afgelopen week weer eens de spare ribs gegeten. Zoals verwacht weer ontzettend lekker.

Toevallig langsgereden, in mooi recreatie gebied.Maar super lekker gegeten. Hebben van de diner kaart gegeten met de lunch maar zat mooie gerechten op de kaart.De bediening is echt top, zoals het hoort.Mooie verschillende vormen tafels en goede stoffen servetten.Mooie wijnen en gratis parkeren.Tot een volgende keer.!
