Restaurant Ziezo Hoogeveen in Wijk 50 Hoogeveen

The food was tasty, quite generous portions. Staff friendly. We had to wait quite a long time while there were only 3 tables occupied, but later there were more. No one came to ask if we wanted something to drink. We waited an hour for dessert and again no drinks. We have just pointed this out as a big negative. What I found even worse...it was very cold inside. There is a heater in the ceiling that blew some warm air every 15-20 minutes...about 30 seconds. There was another man who complained about it, we also asked if it could be a little warmer. He said he would do that but he didn't notice anything after sitting in the cold for 2.5 hours.

Had a delicious meal today with our family, Have quite a lot of choice and very good food. Truly a restaurant where you get value for your money. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. Worth repeating

My wife [vegetarian] and I [non-vegetarian] enjoyed a delicious 4-course menu at ZieZo here in Hoogeveen on Christmas Day. We were nicely welcomed. The "boss" was also responsible for the service. The interior looked neat again and the toilets were clean. That's how it should be, but....... you sometimes come across things differently. Before we left, I complimented the cook and a female server as well. Finally, the "boss" Harald himself of course. We will definitely come back again. Thanks for all the goodies. Ordered fries and stew for 3 people. It was more like a bowl of fries and lots of cheese, stew was hard to find, just like the sauce that goes with it. Price ratio seriously incorrect, €41 euros for fries with cheese and 5 pieces of meat?… So we will never order from here again

Wonderful restaurant in every respect. I came here alone but immediately felt welcome. I had a choice of several cozy tables. The service was super friendly and interested. I chose some vegetarian options from the 3-course menu: beet carpaccio with goat cheese and ravioli with mushrooms and peppers. Both dishes may sound simple but were surprisingly tasty! The side dishes were also very tasty: potatoes, vegetables and a small salad. My nut allergy wasn't a problem; there were excellent alternatives. The grand dessert was a sweet treat! Recommended in Hoogeveen! I will definitely come back!

delicious food for a low price. Owners are both cooks but also serve. very friendly and regularly asked how it tastes, whether it is to your liking or whether anything needs to be added. Highly recommended for everyone to eat there. all dishes we had are recommended.

The first time we ordered here, and also the last time. The loaded fries were limp and mealy, with little "filling". The stew should have contained carrots, but it was nowhere to be found. The meat on the Ziezo loaded fries was dry and tasteless. The salad had a very sweet honey-mustard dressing that was not indicated on the menu, which was a shame for our friend who cannot tolerate mustard. But the worst was the "Italian sheet cake": one small square slice of puff pastry. The filling itself was ok, but the fact that it costs 20 euros is really bizarre. It did come with (weak) fries and extra vegetables, but those vegetables were smothered to death in butter and bitter (dead fried) rosemary. All in all a huge disappointment, especially considering all the good reviews.

We had chosen the "3-course menu". (recommended.) Never had such a delicious dessert (Grand dessert). The combination of these changes regularly, said the chef. Even got extra apple turnover + piece of cheesecake. We will definitely come back!

Hello, usually I don’t write reviews, but this time I will. I have nothing to say against lady waiter, she was okay. However, besides that, it was awful experience. To start with starters, it was very mediocre. It took them forever to bring main dishes, and when they brought them, it was very very bad. Moreover, it was so cold inside , we had to sit in the winter jackets, and in the bathroom, there only cold ice water. On top of that it was surprisingly the most expensive restaurant of this trip. Usually there is three of us, and for us it usually go under 100€. but here we spent 145€. We didn’t take any deserts, I think you understand why. Enough is enough. I waited to leave this place as I soon as can. Please don’t listen to your wife, who said it’s very nice restaurant, because it has nice google raiting, let’s go there. Only because she mentioned, that it’s a nice place according to google maps raiting. I want to make clear, that this place is not nice at all. I would say more, one the worst money spent ever in my entire life. I can continue forever, but I made my point.

Geweldig restaurant. Het eten hier is bijzonder goed, vriendelijk personeel, goede service en tegen een goede prijs. De kok is bijzonder vriendelijk, meedenkend en creatief. Absoluut voor herhaling vatbaar.

Ik had behoorlijk wat dieet wensen (in mijn ogen onmogelijk) maar in de ogen van de bediening en kok (ook de eigenaar) een uitdaging. En wat hebben wij lekker gegeten, om de vingers bij af te likken. Als je lekker en kwalitatief goed wil eten, moet je hier zijn!

We hebben met 3 personen bij restaurant Ziezo gegeten. We werden erg vriendelijk ontvangen. Het eten was super! Bedankt mensen van Ziezo voor de fijne avond die we bij jullie hadden. We komen nog een keertje terug!

Heerlijk gegeten bereidt en stapje meer te doen en het de gasten naar de zin te maken .

Gezellig, de kok serveert het eten, vriendelijke bediening en lekkere gerechten. Bezoek waard.

Heerlijk garnalen kroketjes gehad, varkenshaasje met champignonsaus, met warme groenten, gebakken aardappeltjes en rauwkost en grand dessert van ijs, brownie, cheescake en appelstrudel, blauwe besjes slagroom. De kok kwam nog even kijkje nemen en vroeg of alles naar wens was, tevens bij het dessert nogmaals vragen of alles goed was. En dat was het.
