A historic café in Rotterdam, still open to guests. The interior, rich in history, comes from an old SS cruise ship from the glory days of the Holland America Line.

According to Google Maps, this cafe closes at 1:00 AM. We usually go here for a warm drink after our Volksuniversiteit class around 9:40 PM. We're then warmly welcomed by mostly younger staff. Tonight, around 9:40 PM, a more mature man (the owner, perhaps) was working behind the bar. It was raining heavily outside. When the two of us arrived, there were people at four tables and three people at the bar. After saying goodbye and almost sitting down at a table, the bartender announced he was closing, without an apology or explanation. He overwhelmed me so much with his words and timing that I chose to politely say, "Okay, too bad, see you next time." So, I give this bartender 0 stars and the young staff 5 stars. Stay home if you treat customers like that, you're a real downer!

An old Dutch corner bar where its just good to be. Whether you get there during the busy and noisy hours or pop in for a quiet one in the week, the staff is always welcoming and friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly.

A lovely little corner café / pub on the beautiful Heemsraadsingle. Extremely friendly staff and clientel. Try the peppers, they are delightful and surprising.

Lovely interior, nice beers, but the staff got literally every order wrong. He seemed new, but he was also alone so i guess it's not really his fault. Waited ages for some snacks, and it all felt just a bit too amateur.

During covid time, I believe waitress and the staff inside the place should wear masks, especially because they’re in contact with so many people in daily bases. Unfortunately the staff didn’t wear mask here. I like my latte, but it should serve warmer, and it served with dark chocolate that I really liked. I also had tosti kaas and gehaktballetje which were good. All in all, I think this place is worth to try once.

Minpuntje is dat er alcoholisch wordt geschonken, wat niet goed is voor je Rotterdamse harses.
