Probably one of the best neighborhood bars in the area. Lovely decoration and atmosphere, good food and service. Tuesdays they have happy hour and Thursdays cocktails at reduced price.

All bad! Bad staff. Bad drinks. Bad food. Not friendly to kids!

I don't think I've eaten this well in Amsterdam with such a good price, taste and speed of service. I took catch of the day which was a perfectly done crispy salmon. They had almost nobody in the evening and we were getting all the attention for staff. So we were well taken care of and could get food before even the kitchen was open for dinner (6pm). Thank you!

Spontaneously decided to have lunch at the Rijnbar while I had to wait for someone. I've walked past it many times but never went inside. Pleasantly surprised! Delicious sandwich and super cozy atmosphere inside. The bartender was also a nice guy, very customer friendly. Would love to come back here!

I ask for a whistle of wheat beer; wants to pay immediately; 5.25! It's a shame. Asked for some nuts; 'No, we don't have it, nor is it kindly suggested otherwise... It's a shame when a local resident who wanted to make a quick stop on a quiet Tuesday evening decided that this is not worth repeating.

After a good meal at a nearby restaurant, we ended up at the Rijnbar at the end of the evening. A familiar one to me because I often drove past it with the auro, never been inside before. The location is good and the sidewalk is full of bicycles from the neighborhood's young people. You will certainly notice that when you walk in because the noise is certainly coming from there. Overall very cozy but very warm. The store, which is beautifully styled and furnished, has no active ventilation. A seat at door 2 further down is a possible option, but not enough. That is quite difficult for the staff. Apart from the above, a nice place with active and fast waitresses/bar staff. Enough space and light. Safe and clean, especially the bar because it can get quite dirty, no, it is rigorously wiped clean. We didn't eat because the kitchen was already closed, but we enjoyed the white wine and cocktails.

Original Amsterdam pub & bistro, good atmosphere, tasty and honest food. I recently celebrated my birthday, everything was possible, even at short notice. Oh yes, and pub quizzes are now legendary, although there was no room for our team recently :(

After waiting outside for an hour and a half, the supreme moment finally came: the announcement that the kitchen was already closed. No excuses, no solution, just kindly ask to get out of here. Top service, if you like to waste your evening for nothing!

Give wrong prices, if you order a lot and are suspected of being "drunk" you will get higher prices than normal. Ordered 2 pitchers of bacon/beer, €70 while it actually costs €67.50. Very sad, beware!! SCAMMERS

It's really sad what's happening here. The group of friends had a little fun and the staff knew it. Prices were then made up and people charged large tips on their own. Deeply sad

If you ever want to know what it feels like to be in a live version of Monopoly, but where the rules are made up on the spot and the prizes shoot up randomly, then head over here. It looks like the cashier is using a secret dice to determine the price of your drink. Bonus: If you're lucky, an unsolicited extra tip will be added for you too! 🥳 Tried three times, scammed three times – I almost have to be the unofficial sponsor of this place. My advice: bring a calculator or, better yet, just go somewhere else.

Friendly staff and fast service. Made a reservation last Friday, but the power was out due to work. This was communicated neatly by telephone and we were still invited to have a beer by candlelight. We certainly did that and received a beer on the house for the inconvenience. Annoying for the Rijnbar, but pure force majeure. And the staff was very friendly and cheerful despite the setback. Still had a great evening!

We had a delicious meal and will be back soon!

Gister na lange tijd weer eens langs de Rijnbar in de Rijnstraat in Amsterdam voor een heerlijk koud colaatje. Mooie tent geworden, een flinke verbetering na de verbouwing. Shout out naar de Rijnbar.

It’s a nice bar in the neighborhood. I went only for drinks, and I can say the service was good, and the atmosphere is very cosy. Definitely recommended if you are around.

Lovely restaurant, which turns into a busy bar around 9:30pm. Terrific and attentive service and good food. We came at 6pm and it was fairly empty in the restaurant part, but by 7pm all tables were full - make a reservation (online) to make sure you get a table.

I admit to prefering hamburgers over just about everything for lunch. As i am trying to expand my choices, i had the hot pastrami. It was amazing. I asked my companion if we coukd smuggle the sandwich maker in luggage back to the states. The pricing is very reasonable, the service was top notch. You can have a quiet conversation during lunch rush. This is a great spot. Definitely worth doing multiple times. Highest recommendation.

Onlangs hebben we hier een verjaardagsfeestje mogen meemaken. Deze bar is super geschikt hiervoor, lief meedenkend personeel, heel veel eigen inbreng is mogelijk en er is een mooie ruimte waar je met familie en vrienden een feestje kunt vieren.

Great neighborhood spot! The bar area was super busy on a Saturday night but the restaurant area is separate so we were able to sit down for a great dinner. We started with the steak tartare and the oeufs durs mayonnaise and had the poussin and dorado with risotto for our main courses. The Oeuf starter wasn’t great but the tartare was delicious, as were both main courses. The grilled vegetables that came with the poussin were great so would definitely get those as a side dish next time.

Had dinner at the restaurant side and then some drinks at the bar and all in all it was a good experience. The food was good, we ordered the melanzane parmigiana and the risotto. Good place to host a borrel or meet up with a bigger group.

After a long wait, the steak tartare arrived (fries forgotten, of course) cooked half through by the heat from the hard poached egg on top. On a positive note, at least the meal overall was fairly cheap, mostly because the staff didn’t bother asking if we wanted any drinks/top ups etc

Great neighborhood bar with a menu. Service is friendly and the audience rangers from 'neighborhood classics' to students to some lost tourists. Can best busy at any night of the week. Music includes golden 80s.
