Haven't been there in a long time, but it was just like old times. Had a delicious meal!

Had a fantastic meal, truly delicious pizzas. Nice and thin and crispy. Made quickly, even though it was starting to get busier. Clearly, attention was paid to the quality of the ingredients. The salami was bellissimo! Just like the rest. The friendly service was also striking. The owner, chefs, and waitresses all seem to be Italian. A funny sight was a jackdaw begging next to our table, eyeing leftover crusts. We would love to come back here.

As always, we had a delicious meal. We sat outside with a group of eight. We received a warm welcome. The service was a bit disorganized due to the staff not speaking Dutch. A minor downside is the dirty outdoor terrace full of cigarettes, ash, dust, hair, and leaves. It was simply annoying having my dog ​​lying in there and our grandchild crawling under the table. Upon request, a dustpan and brush were brought out, but the young lady swept up 3 cigarettes and thought it was fine.

The linguini a los scoglio is absolutely amazing. I have ordered many many times and I can say it’s only better and better. I have tried in Italy and none is as good as this one! Keep serving like this! You are the best!

We ate delicious pizzas. According to my son, the spaghetti carbonara was delectable and comparable to the one he had eaten in Milan. His birthday was made special by the star fountain he received during dessert (cannoli, also highly recommended). The staff was friendly and quick, and even a group of young footballers didn't faze them.

I was here with my studievereniging. The pizza buffala was great but the water bottle of Chaudfontaine of 0,75l was a whopping 7,45€!!!!! If you want to have satisfied customers please consider thinking about yourself and lowering the prices for such basic commodities such as water!

Back to Karalis after a few years. And just like old times, it was very good again. With a toddler and a baby at the table, the hostess took good care of us. The children were well catered for, which meant that we as parents also thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The antipasti were all very tasty and more than sufficient. Our pasta dishes were also very flavorful, and we finished with a sublime tiramisu (specially without alcohol so that our eldest could enjoy it too).

We had a delicious meal! There were eight of us; there is plenty of room, no problem here. The children thoroughly enjoyed their pizza, followed by ice cream. We started with a trio of antipasti; the melanzane alla parmigiani was delicious, beautifully soft, and the seafood was delicious too! It was almost a shame we couldn't eat the sauce with bread 😉. For the main course, I had the spinach ravioli, which was also delicious! For dessert, the affogato was delicious too, but a bit too big for me after all that tasty food. And I also wanted to try the pistachio canoli; it was perfectly crispy and so tasty. So, all in all, highly recommended!

We had a delicious meal. Both gluten-free and "regular" options were available. Regarding gluten-free options, it would be nice to have a choice of pasta types, as penne alone is somewhat limiting. Adding an extra one, such as tagliatelle, would offer just a bit more variety for a pasta suitable for the dish. Friendly staff who are very accommodating regarding allergies.

You can enjoy a delicious lunch here on Saturdays and Sundays. We have already done so twice. First just with my partner, and then with a few friends for our birthdays. Both times were a real treat. We simply ordered à la carte. Everyone chose a starter and a main course. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Afterwards, a cup of coffee or tea. To savor the experience later in the day or in the evening, we had a box of cannelloni made for everyone. And for ourselves, of course. Dear Karalis, we will be back soon.

Staff friendly and helpful, food was superb, and the restaurant is cozy and quite spacious, not crammed with tables so there is a reasonable amount of privacy. In short, definitely worth a repeat visit!!

Excellent authentic Sardinian cuisine. We had such a nice meal and the food was delicious and super well prepared. We had various pasta dishes. There are some really interesting ones on the menu, worth exploring. I was very pleasantly surprised. The staff were also lovely. Highly recommended and I hope to be back in Leiden soon to return.

Reliable quality. Pricey, but good. Super friendly staff. I was wondering, the interior is nice, but the tiled floor reflects sound strongly, which means it's very noisy, especially with large groups of people elsewhere in the room. Some call it "cozy," and in principle that can be true, but sometimes it can be a bit too much.

I have to set the record straight. I was previously critical of Karalis, and rightly so at the time, I thought, but last night I had a fantastic evening. Absolutely fantastic! The atmosphere was back to normal: warm, cozy, and without the forced fuss you see too often these days. The waitress was simply fantastic: friendly, attentive, and with just the right dose of humor. And the pizzas… well, I can be brief about that: still at a level that other pizzerias can only envy. Thin, crispy, flavorful... just the way it should be. In short: Karalis is back. Even an old fart like me has to admit that.

It's not the pizza we're used to in Italy. However, we tried a very good fregola dish with bottarga and clams. The staff was very friendly, but the place is a bit dated.

Buona sera, we went to "Karalis" and had a real Italian pizza. It was delicious, a thin pizza🍕 with a crispy base. Quattro station is recommended, tomato sauce, artichoke, olives, mushrooms, mozzarella, buonissimo !! Atmospheric atmosphere, easily accessible for people with a walker or wheelchair! The staff is very helpful, and are mostly Italian !! They have a lot of choice in fish, meat dishes, and delicious pasta, primos & secondos !! So it is worth it to eat there !! XO😋JJ.K🐈‍⬛💃🌍💃🙋‍♀️

Spontane bezoek met mijn gezin. Was op die avond geen plaats maar vanaf 20;00 uur was het wel weer mogelijk. Wij kregen een gezellig tafel achterin de restaurant. Het bedienend personeel was heel aardig en opmerkzaam vlot. Broodjes met truffel en knoflookboter als voorgerechten (anders zit je zo vol). Wij kozen allemaal voor pizza’s. Large and well lit. That was different thirty years ago. I ate a folded pizza here after a pub crawl. There's a word for that that escapes me. That may have something to do with the beer walk. The folded pizza was delicious.

A few days ago I went here with a lot of people, the pizza was given after a long time and there was a lot of oil on it and it was not tasty, it gave me a stomach ache and I want my money back

It was okay! My pizza was tasty but water from the vegetables came out onto the pizza which made it soggy. Service is very friendly, but it took some time before they came by (this is the case in many places in Leiden)

Karalis is a Leiden classic. Big place, always busy and good, but sometimes a bit inexperienced, service. The pizzas and pastas are 'classic'. Just good, but a bit conservative in terms of flavors.

Ce restaurant est une véritable "pizzeria-ristorante" comme on peut en trouver à tous les coins de rue en Italie. La carte propose tous les classiques de la cuisine italienne. Recettes traditionnelles et produits d'origine italienne. (À part l'eau qui est celle d'une eau de source liégeoise rachetée par un géant américain des soft drinks... C'est le seul petit détail qui nous rappelle que l'on n'est pas en Italie) Le service est simple et convivial. Le rapport qualité-prix est très correct. Ce restaurant (situé un tout peu en dehors du centre, au sud de la ville) vaut vraiment le détour.

Very good pizzeria, if you are used to real Italian pizza this is "the place to be". Good pizza, tasty and well topped. I've had takeaway pizzas with tiramisu for dessert, but in my opinion they have the best Tiramisu here. Highly recommended.
