Ristorante Pizzeria Vreeswijk in Vreeswijk

Don't eat here! The pizza we ordered seemed pre-made, made with regular flour (not suitable for pizza dough), hadn't rested, hadn't risen, was raw inside, the toppings were soggy, and there was far too much. The only thing I asked for was basil on my pizza, which I didn't get. We did get Turkish bread, from the Turkish owners, with a bottle of vinegar that said "Crete" on it—God knows why. One star is still too many, but that's the lowest we can give. We didn't eat the food because we feared for our health, but we did pay. We ended up going to McDonald's.

Ordered food on Sunday, and it arrived relatively quickly. Unfortunately, I initially received the wrong dish, but after calling, the correct one arrived very quickly. The delivery staff were very friendly! The food was delicious, and I would definitely order from here again.

My favorite restaurant, always fun.

The pizzas are delicious, the restaurant is a bit dated and the desserts are not as good as hoped.

It's been over 15 years since I last ordered or ate anything here. Luckily, we were able to get in without a reservation around 5:00 PM. Once we were seated, we quickly realized we were in luck, as the place was slowly filling up. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, salmon pasta, and veal in white wine sauce for the main course. For dessert, we had a tiramisu to share. Bread and herb butter were served, as always. The salmon pasta is still a winner, and the veal in white wine sauce is also worth repeating. We both really enjoyed the tiramisu; they make it themselves, that's for sure! After reading other reviews, we were worried the quality wasn't the same as years ago, but that wasn't the case with our dishes! One small point for improvement: the serving of drinks after ordering could be a bit faster! The kitchen is clearly a bit faster than the bar.

Years ago, I regularly ordered pizza from here. They were delicious back then, with a traditional thin crust. I recently ordered again, and what a difference! Something that resembled a ready-made factory-made crust, tasteless and dry. You don't expect that from a restaurant. And all for over 16 euros. It's a shame, but I won't be ordering from here again.

The pizza was delicious, and while it was being prepared, we received a roll with herb butter on the house. Where else can you find that? The dessert looked festive and was delicious. The staff was friendly, and the price was reasonable.

Never again those idiots from thuisbezorgd.nl. These bosses deliver themselves. Excellent food, delivered quickly and hot. Five stars!

Nice pizza. Seem short of staff

What a lovely environment. I was last here 15 years ago. Nothing has changed, what a lovely pizza (calzone special). Great service. Not pushy. Great environment in the beautiful old village of Vreeswijk. The only downside for me, because I have had back problems for years, were the chairs on the terrace.

The food tasted like Barbie food, in other words it tasted fake and ready made. The service was bad, the first main course came at 18:07 and the rest came 30 minutes later when the pizza was already cold and almost gone…… the tables were wobbly and there was little space.

We thought it was a lovely place with friendly staff and delicious food so we would love to come back!

This place is NOT the authentic Italian it used to be :( the pizzas come on dry ready-made doughs, zero authenticity and underwhelming cheap toppings that the Albert Heijn would do better. We were super disappointed because only a couple of years ago he had incredibly delicious pizzas here. Not anymore… what happened?!!!

Always a nice atmosphere, fresh food and well prepared. Italian at its best and certainly not expensive.

Been coming here for almost 40 years I think. Still my favorite and best Italian restaurant where I still like to go. There are still people walking around who I think started there from day 1 since the opening. Unfortunately the bread roll with herb butter that you get has become a bit less but the pizzas are still unmatched in my opinion. I still like to come here. I also missed the cozy (Italian) music so if that could come back that would be great.

Respect. Even in Italy you rarely see the rules that still prevail in this place. The food is delicious. The wine is very good.

With a group of 18 we ate there. The starters were generous portions, tasty and were brought to the table almost all at the same time. The main course (for me the tenderloin with delicious potatoes) was also tasty for everyone and was also brought to the table at the same time. Good service and very friendly staff.

Pizza arrived after an hour and ten minutes. Base was limp and unappetizing, no difference to taste between the two pizzas we ordered. It was the first time we ordered here but also the last time.

We ordered a double folded pizza but it was still cold inside. After being in the oven again I cut on a piece of silver foil...not very tasty! I also found the hygiene to be very poor...under the paper on the table the cloth was still dirty from the previous diners. The pepper and salt jars dirty from previous users and the wall was also not clean...too bad, the young waitress asked me, was this already the case? Is she really suggesting that I have soiled the tablecloth so badly in such a short time?? Sorry...we will not come here again, even though it looked cozy at first.

Fantastic food, more than enough, I always order the same thing again.. Pasta emmiliano... bruschetta starter. Cozy atmosphere and beautiful surroundings to take a walk.

Ended up at this restaurant during a short holiday. We had bruchetta beforehand. Spaghetti carbonara and saltimbocca as main course. All exceptionally good! Service great. Finished with a cappuccino and an amaretto

Had a delicious pizza in Fearwijk

Ik had een vegetarische pizza besteld, dat was belegd met alleen maar artisjokken. Op de pizza was een vetlaag. De helft heb ik laten staan, omdat het niet te eten was. We hebben ons beklag gedaan en kregen als troost koffie / thee van het huis. Deze pizzeria is echt geen aanrader😩.

Waited over an hour for 4 pizzas and a pasta. Pizza tasted like frozen pizza. Soil was still raw and extremely salty. The other ingredients tasteless. We won't be back.

“I would rather have eaten a cardboard box...” Guys, this really isn't possible. After a tasty promise on the menu, we were looking forward to an order of home-delivered Italian treats. But unfortunately – the reality was slightly less la dolce vita. First of all, I had to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for 4 pizzas. And no, during that time no water has flowed through the Tiber, but we have become increasingly hungrier. In between I called to ask where the pizzas were. Unfortunately, there was no warm welcome on the phone, and apparently no apologies were offered. Finally delivered, but what a deception! The bottoms were rock hard and dry – almost as if they had been cut from that cardboard box itself. Our last order at Pizzeria Vreeswijk? That has now really been settled.

Unfortunately we were not that enthusiastic about the quality of the food. The service is good, although it is difficult to make yourself understood due to the acoustics. The decoration is nice but the atmosphere could really be better.

Ate here once and picked up once. Both times the food was delicious and more than enough.

Delicious pizzas to eat in the center of Vreeswijk. Enjoy the later summer evenings on the terrace at the lock or inside. Depending on the service, the service is top or mediocre. It is often fast, polite and friendly. Occasionally it was a little slower and there was more business contact instead of the friendly contact we had seen before. Parking is free just outside the center. Highly recommended and fun to walk around the dike and locks afterwards.

Service (a bit too smart) and kitchen could not handle the workload. Had to wait far too long for food. Food quality not good...salmon undercooked as well as fries. Location very nice but is lacking due to an accumulation of factors.

At last I found the Italian taste that I have been missing. I really enjoyed Pizza Gorgonzola here. Staff was also very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Giovanni (the senior waiter). We started the dinner at the terrace but thanks to the rain, we are welcomed later inside. Both was quite nice and cozy. I loved the smooth Italian songs and dancing candle lights during the dinner. Also thanks to Julia for that big smile and swift service. I recommend this pizzeria. 👍

Pizza's wáren altijd heerlijk. WAREN Nu lijken het kant en klare bodems. Bij de supermarkt zijn ze smakelijker, 3 pizza's voor 6 euro. Allebei nog niet voor de helft opgegeten. Wij vonden ze ook nog zompig, dus niet te nassen. Jammer!

Super friendly staff and well-filled pizza

As often ordered pizza from Pizzeria Vreeswijk (via Thuisbezorgd). However, this time was the last time. The quality of the pizzas has deteriorated enormously and this time I can only say that I did not enjoy it at all. The bottom and edge are partly black and so hard that you could hit someone to death with it. Moreover, after half a pizza you are exhausted from the amount of chewing to get it all away. In addition, the pizzas are so salty that your kidneys spontaneously prepare for dialysis. When you finally have enough, you hang under the tap for half an hour to drink water. Shame. The pizzas from Pizzeria Vreeswijk were the undisputed number 1 in Nieuwegein for me for years, but after this time I will look for another address.

The food is usually always good here, sometimes better than other times. The service, on the other hand, was fast but quite rude, therefore not the feeling you would normally expect as in the past, therefore a bit of a downer.

Have eaten in this restaurant many times and the food was always very good, tasty and on the table quickly. This time, on Sunday at 6.15 pm, there were 10 people. Not busy in the restaurant, but food was finally on the table around 8 p.m. And the quality of the food was not what we are used to. Maybe one-off disappointment. I hope so. We will eat here again. But if it disappoints again, it will be the last time.

The sandwich beforehand was old and dry, the pizza was good but not as we were used to.

Mooie plek met een prachtig terras naast de gracht. We bestelden een kip pesto met groente en friet,heerlijk voor maar €27 euro en tagliatelli uit de oven met spinazie,roomkaas en ricotta voor maar € 17 euro. De tagliatelli waren droog en niet gaar, bijna rauw met een waterige kaassaus die op kauwgon leek, zonder enige smaak. Echt belachelijk slecht. Prachtige terras, goed bediening maar zeer slechte koks, dit is geen italianse restaurant!!!

Het eten is behoorlijk goed, maar zeker niet voordelig. Bediening komt niet aan tafel dus een nieuw drankje heb je niet zomaar. Na afloop bestelden we voor 2 mensen ijs en dat bleef 34 minuten weg en dat is echt te lang. Jammer, want verder hebben we genoten van het eten.

The place with good service with a terrace next to the canal. The pizzas are well filled but have almost no cheese. I ate a pizza with grilled eggplant and mozzarella cheese (paid extra) for €17.95 euros but it had very very little mozzarella cheese for which I had to pay an extra €5 euros. The juicy pizza with vegetables but without cheese. It's a shame they deceive customers.

Gisterenavond lasagna gegeten. Wat was die verschrikkelijk zout. Het zout overheerste vreselijk. Bij de klacht was het antwoord, ja de jonge kaas die wij hebben is erg zout. Sinds wanneer is jonge kaas zout? Ja bij ons wel. Ik zal het doorgeven. De saus is misschien te zout gemaakt zei ze. Hele avond en nacht dorst gehad. Onze bloeddruk was torenhoog. Dit was voor ons de laatste keer.

Unfortunately tonight was a drama, we waited 1.5 hours for food which eventually came to the table lukewarm Piece of meat was not of good quality, the service did nothing to change the feeling of a long wait. Bad turn. I don't like the impersonal approach. Good evening, couldn't get rid of it yet..... Lots of complaining people in the checkout line. Poor bar worker who had to receive this feedback. Clear problems in the kitchen in terms of planning.

It was a very pleasant evening with very tasty food. However, it took a long time for the food and drinks to arrive. Drinks didn't even come at all at first. In the end we had a nice evening.

I just had a good laugh. I ordered an 'inferno' pizza which, as the name suggests, would have hot peppers on it. However, the 'inferno' of this pizza inferno turns out to be nothing more than a bag of sambal sauce that they throw in the box. Why are you putting this on the map if you don't even want to take it seriously? And then you also charge 16 euros for this sad bag of sambal sauce. It's like having a shoe store where you only sell photos of shoes instead of real shoes. Then go do something else.

Had an unexpected meal here with the family. Friendly reception. Taking the order took a long time. Didn't visit again after the 1st round of drinks.

Ik ben hier meer dan eens geweest. Je zou zeggen dat het personeel deels Italiaans is, maar dat zijn ze niet. Vraag maar! Ze zijn wel heel aardig - en ik heb een serveerster verteld waarom "tiramisu" zo heet. Die was trouwens ook lekker (de tiramisu, de serveerster weet ik niet)

Wij missen de authentieke handgemaakte en smakelijke pizza's! De pizza's zijn niet meer zoals vroeger. Fabrieks bodem; muf en smakeloos. Daardoor erg duur, want je kunt net zo goed naar de New York Pizza. Zonde! Over de service verder niks te klagen. Personeel is vriendelijk.

Goede pizza's Service goed vriendelijke bediening Restaurant is gedateerd maar je kan het ook nostalgie noemen. Min punt was de frisdrank wordt in glas vanuit grote fles geschonken. Gevolg is weinig tot geen prik aanwezig.

Heerlijk gegeten, Echt italiaans!!

Heerlijk gegeten, supervriendelijk personeel, alle wijzigingen van bijgerechten was mogelijk en niet duur! Persoonlijk zou ik het wel leuk vinden als de dames ipv in hoodies/joggingtruien etc een blouse zouden dragen, net iets meer gekleed 😉. Maar het doet niks af aan de service!!

Keurige snelle service, maar de pizza (tonijn) was echt niet lekker helaas. Bodem had een oude muffe smaak en er zaten heel veel uien en rucola ( was helemaal met een laag bedekt)op. Er was weinig tonijn te proeven. Helaas, maar we zullen geen pizza meer bestellen daar…

Het eten was lekker, het duurde wel lang voordat we eten kregen maar het was ook erg druk. Ze deden goed hun best iedereen zo goed mogelijk te bedienen. Erg fijn restaurant 👍

Lekker gegeten aan het water op het terras in Vreeswijk. Vriendelijke en alerte bediening. Eten vers en erg lekker italiaan. Goed gevulde pizza vegetaria gegeten en vooraf antipasta voor 2p.

Pizzeria is niet meer wat het geweest is. Service is matig, eten niet lekker. Pizza uit de supermarkt heeft dezelfde kwaliteit. Jammer!

Ik kom hier al jaren sinds de opening ruim 25 jaar geleden., inmiddels is het interieur wel verouderd. Maar de pizza's zijn nog steeds heerlijk.

Voor het eerst hier gegeten, buiten op het terras. Alles was goed, vlotte service, lekkere pizza, fijne locatie.

Het eten was lekker. De service was slecht. Eerst vergat de serveerster ons. Toen duurde het lang voor het drankje kwam. Wij hadden een eetverzoek en daar ging ze flink tegen in. En een vervolg drankje zat er niet in omdat ze meer dan een kwartier met een andere klant praatte aan de andere kant vh terras. Erg klantonvriendelijk!

Fijn restaurant met mooi authentiek dorpsgevoel aan de sluis in Vreeswijk

De pizza Vegataria was heerlijk! De pizza Calzone was veel te pittig. Terwijl we van tevoren hadden gevraagd hoe die was. De serveerster gaf aan dat hij een beetje scherp was, maar niet dat je extra moest drinken om te blussen. Nou hij was zo pittig, dat je niet eens goed de ingrediënten proefde. Er bleek, achteraf, cayennepeper in te zitten. Als de serveerster dat had verteld, dan waren we er nooit aan begonnen! Dus dat was jammer, want dat zorgde ervoor dat 50% op dit bezoek met mindere gevoelens hier op terugkijkt. En niet snel denkt terug te komen.
