Enjoyed a delicious meal in an authentic atmosphere.

Delicious dishes with a very good impression

De carpaccio was heerlijk. We willen graag een fles van de dressing. Lasagne was formidabel. Voor herhaling vatbaar. !!

On Sunday, March 16, 2025, I went to eat at Ristorante Vesuvio. Fortunately I was able to park in the street (at the end), but if it gets busier this will be a challenge. On arrival (we had made a reservation) we were shown to our table and our coats were taken by the friendly young lady. They quickly came to ask what we wanted to drink and because of the atmosphere at the table it took a while before we made a choice for food, but this was no problem at all, there was no pressure at all that the table had to be free at a certain time. Finally made a choice and ordered. I went for the Raviolacci al Filetto and my table companion for the ravioli al Tartufo. Both dishes looked, smelled and tasted very good. Really worth it! For dessert I went for a classic, the Dama Bianca, and it also tasted fantastic. To finish we were offered a liqueur, but I still had to drive so I declined. Unfortunately, the place was not full on Sunday evening, which made the atmosphere a bit "matte". In any case, the staff was very friendly and came to ask if it tasted good, always a pleasant experience.

An attractively decorated restaurant, good service, delicious dishes, this is real Italian cuisine from real Italians. Affordable. The ham with burrata was full of flavor and creamy, the pasta of the day was flambéed in cognac in a large round cheese, not only spectacular but also the tastiest pasta I have ever eaten in the Netherlands, and if you go for the turamisu, don't take the regular one but the one with limoncello, nice and fresh and homemade. Absolutely recommended for the North/Kennemerland region, Castricum/Bakkum/Limmen/Heiloo/Alkmaar/Uitgeest/Beverwijk/Heemskerk and even from Zaandam you want to drive specifically to Bakkum, because this is a top restaurant where you come to experience the real Italian life. tasting, so no pizzas (thankfully) 🇮🇹🤗😘

Food was ok, main course took a very long time, espresso was reserved in a cold cup, but took so long that I didn't order another. Too bad we ran out of tiramisu.

Fantastic! Had a delicious menu of the day. Giant macaroni with mushrooms in flambéed cheese. To die for. Also good wines. Definitely go here if you like real Italian cuisine!

Just had dinner in Vesuvio, around the corner from where I live. My daughter didn't allow me to immediately tell the staff that I thought the food was mediocre, so I wrote an internet review. So mediocre, the food. Very little taste, both starter and main course: the mozzarella with the caprese was tasteless, definitely not from buffalo milk. The sauce of the vitello tonato did not taste like tuna. The first bite of tenderloin with the ravioli with tenderloin tips tasted like soup meat, way overcooked and bland. The next bites were slightly less cooked which was better but still little taste. The sauce also very bland. My daughter had veal escalope with gorgonzola sauce, a classic. The sauce didn't taste like the cheese, only when you had a small piece in your mouth, the rest was a weak (flour?) sauce. The meat was also bland and I don't think it was veal escalope but overcooked veal schnitzel or something like that. The ice cream with the lemon pie tasted of lemon, the rest did not. Limp dough. Mi. really not homemade. The tiramisu with limoncello was ok. The staff did their best mechanically. All in all, they radiated no passion. I don't expect us to come back.

Delicious food, despite the crowds, reasonable waiting times between courses. Excellent dishes, outside the menu frutti di mare with handmade fusilli and red sea bass with shrimps, spuds from the oven with vegetable garnish. Add a nice Montepulciano wine and enjoy. Great, we will definitely come again. Bona Sera.

Wij hebben genoten van het gezellige restaurant met zijn vriendelijke bediening en super lekker eten. Zeker een hoogtepunt tijdens onze 2-daagse in Castricum.

What a discovery! We had a wonderful evening at Vesuvio. The food is excellent and so is the wine. The staff is welcoming, attentive and professional. After a 3-course menu, coffee and limoncello on the house, we walked out very satisfied. We would love to come back again soon!

Nice family restaurant with traditional dishes

This small family restaurant in the middle of Bakkum. Don't expect pizza but freshly made products. The Tiramisu standard but also the tiramisu limon cello completed the evening. Will definitely come back here again.

Supervriendelijk onthaal, ondanks we na onze reservering 15 min. te laat waren. Gezellig ingericht, super lekker eten. Een aanrader om langs te gaan.

Bel ristorante, ma i piatti italiani potrebbero essere migliori. Piatti più autentici, per favore. Sul suo italiano. I proprietari italiani sono troppo olandesi.

Heerlijk gegeten , prima service vriendelijke mensen. Apart menu gemaakt voor mijn dochter die lactose,glute vrij eet en vegatarisch is, dat vind ik echt super!!@

Bij eerste bezoek aangenaam verrast, prettige sfeer en bediening, alle gerechten op orde, er wordt niet bespaard op goede kwaliteit ingrediënten, dus heerlijk gegeten met gezin. De avond daarna nog een keer aangeschoven, met andere gerechten, weer alles op orde. Jammer dat dit restaurant in de buurt van Bergen NH zit en niet Bergen Limburg (waar wij wonen)

Noch authentischer bekommt man italienische Küche nur in Italien. Ein kleines Lokal in dem man "Familie" spürt und schmeckt, hier wird mit Liebe gekocht. Wir waren hier zu viert mit zwei Hunden und wurden wirklich herzlich empfangen und bedient. Wirklich richtig lecker, wir haben uns einmal durch das Pasta Angebot geschlemmt. Ravioli mit Trüffel, Lasagne, Penne pomodore und Spaghetti Carbonara. Ein echter Geheimtipp! Vielen Dank für das schöne Essen.

Friendly staff, nice atmosphere. You feel welcome. Food certainly above average, but not outstanding nor does it have a wow factor. I.e. the mozerella was not very juicy, my pasta was a bit heavy where the sauce was concerned. But, it was tasty nevertheless. All in all a place I would recommend for a nice dinner and I would return.

We showed up with a wrong reservation for a week later, no problem, we got a table anyway. It really is a Italian restaurant, and it shows in the service. Not your typical Dutch restaurant but a bit slower and.more relaxed. It took some getting used to. The food is amazing. The penne gorgonzola with salmon was rich in flavour and actually had a lot of salmon in it. The ravioli with swordfish was delicious, and not too heavy. We shared a tiramisu because the main course was very filling. The serving staff was very friendly. The cooks didn't speak any other than Italian, a good sign I think. The 2 or 3 tables in the back are in the full fluorescent lighting from the kitchen and are less romantic than the other tables.

Een aanrader, echte Italiaanse gerechten. Goeie wijnen, wij komen zeker terug.

Op goed gelukt tafel voor zes personen gereserveerd. Wat een geweldige ervaring. Het beste Italiaans restaurant waar ik ooit gegeten heb. Geen "pizzatent, maar heerlijke originele gerechten, geweldige pasta's en prachtige wijnen.

Super lekker gegeten!! . Authentieke Italiaanse keuken. Alles supervers en met liefde bereidt. De pappardello pasta met eekhoorntjes brood en zwarte truffel geflambeerd in cognac met parmezaan is echt een aanrader! De kids hadden spaghetti carbonara en hebben gesmuld! Knus kleinschalig restaurant met aardige Italiaanse bediening! Echt een aanrader!! Ook het voorafje zag er zo mooi uit en was superlekker! Wij hadden als voorafje tris met carpaccio, caprese en vitella tonnato. Wij komen hier zeker terug! Zelden zo lekker Italiaans gegeten!
