our first visit to amsterdam and this bar gave a very lasting impression great staff and great hospitality, the drinks were top drawer and bloody lethal hahah i would encourage anyone close to it to give it a go definitely worth it

Cool bar, nice cocktails (I think?), but for some reason the waitress kept forgetting (?) to take my order while serving everyone else at the table round after round. This happened three (!) times in a row, which left me flabbergasted - and my friends in a stitch. I didn't even get a glass of water. Also, a LOT of expats here.

Super nice bar with a huge range of rum. A large card for rum-based cocktails, and another large card with the list of available rums, divided into Spanish, English and French styles. There is also a small menu for snacks. We were received very kindly and helped to find out what we would like. We were given 3 different bottles of French style rums to smell, so we chose 2. A plate of crispy, freshly baked churros with a bowl of melted bitter chocolate was the perfect complement. A really nice bar.

Look no further, you found what you were looking for: a Caribbean-inspired bar with lots of classics right here in Amsterdam, with unique takes on familiar recipes as well as totally new cocktails. I'm confident the rum selection cannot be beat by anyone in the area, and there was a great mix of locals and tourists in attendance while we were there. Sit down and enjoy!

We went to Amsterdam specifically to visit this bar, among other things: we will definitely come back! The interior is fantastic (we were just in Cuba) and the service is great! And a very extensive menu, so something for everyone. The cocktails are served very nicely, in nice tiki mugs or glasses.

¡Wow! ¡Si una palabra pudiera describir este lugar eso sería! Visitamos un martes por la noche, sin saber lo ocupado que iba a ser que reservamos una mesa. Después de llegar tarde tuve que llamarlos para cambiar la hora, lo que no fue ningún problema. Cuando llegamos nos recibió Conrad que era amable y acogedor. Pedimos cócteles y comida (aperitivos de bar) ... ... ambos eran increíbles! Mi compañero está muy bien informado sobre el ron y cada otro bar en el que hemos estado que se dice que es un "bar de ron" ha sido una decepción. ¡Rum Barrell es definitivamente un RUM BAR! ¡Y el conocimiento de Conrad sobre el ron era muy impresionante! Hay tantas bebidas para elegir, que podríamos habernos quedado por la semana. Sin duda volveremos. Está un poco alejado del centro pero nos costó 13€ en un Uber para llegar allí y lo mismo para volver. No puedo elogiar este lugar lo suficiente!

Great place for rum enjoyers. The bartender was extremely friendly and we learned a lot about different rums that we had at a tasting. It is a bit pricier, but definitely worth it in my opinion!

A gem in the city of Amsterdam. Tiki is not the easiest thing to come by in Europe, but my fellow Beachbums and Beachcombers can fall in line here. The drinks are small spins on all the favorites. Proper care is taken to make sure there are no boat drinks to be had. The rum list is also extensive and comprehensive, no matter the style. All in all, a wonderful fun environment, music, and food were also point. Make sure to check back here frequently for rum tasting if you are interested. 5/5, will be back again!

This is a great bar with the most friendly bartenders. My favourite drink is the painkiller. The bar has a relaxed tiki vibe.

That was an unforgettable experience! The service and hospitality were top class. Our questions about the various cocktails were answered with a good dose of knowledge and passion. And man, oh man, were those cocktails delicious! The glasses were also super unique, which made the experience even more special. Thank you for such a fantastic evening, I'm definitely looking forward to coming back again!

Amsterdam is not known for its hospitality services so to visit a spot where the service is super friendly and attentive and people are genuinely nice really makes such a difference! Had some drinks there for my husbands birthday and we felt very welcome and not a burden as you do at other restaurants. Snacks are tasty too, would maybe just add one menu item that’s not fried - like nuts/olives or gambas or similar :). it was quieter when we went as it was early which was nice for us to chat. Thanks for the birthday shots!

Greatest cocktails I've ever had. Extremely fun staff. Recommended. Might not seem like much on the outside, but it's incredibly cosy on the inside.

Un excellent moment à déguster plein de rhum de différentes origines. Le patron assure et s'y connaît. Le choix de rhum est assez important pour combler les amateurs. A highly recommended place!! Excellent service, delicious drinks, they explain everything you need to know about rums (they give you water without having to ask for it, that's an exceptional detail). Some snacks are also available !! Fair prices !

Authentic tiki drinks & over 300 rums!! This place is a must go!! An Oasis of amazing rums in a city of too much Bacardi and C.M.spiced. If you want a real cocktail this is your place!! I walked here past Western Park beautiful walk!! Arrived to be greeted by an amazing staff ready and eager to serve up the most delicious tiki drinks in all of Amsterdam!!

Top service. These guys know their rum. 100% recommend the Jamaican punch cocktail.

One of my favourite bars in Amsterdam. It offers a great cocktail selection in lovely tropical atmosphere. Staff is absolutely charming. Only minus - there are a couple of expensive cocktails in menu (above 20 eur). I’ve tried a couple and in my opinion they don’t worth it. Tip: Come after the sunset to enjoy their unique vibe.

I was in Amsterdam in 2018 and visited Rum Barrel East. It was the best tikibar experience. So when I came back this year and wanted to revisit I discovered that they had two locations! We went to the west location yesterday and the drinks snd the staff did not disappoint. Connie is extremly nice and knowledgeable. Will visit again next time I come to Amsterdam.

All the drinks are great. The one with paprika bell pepper was especially surprising and something I hadn't tried before.

We came for a Barbados night and it was the most fun I've had in such a long time! Everyone's so nice. The foods great and the drinks mix perfectly with the food.

The bar is SUPER nice with amazing staff! The variety of drinks is very impressive, for this reason, you can have many different combinations to taste. My boyfriend asked for the rum tasting and it was incredible! I want to come back soon!

Locale non troppo grande subito fuori dalla zona affollata del centro., tavoli sia fuori che dentro. Vastissima selezione di Rum, con la possibilità di accompagnarli con un sigaro. Il proprietario, oltre ad essere simpatico e cordiale, è un esperto e sa consigliare bene su cosa prendere. Per gli amanti di questo distillato è un appuntamento da non perdere.

Was brought here by a friend who lives in Amsterdam and it certainly did not disappoint, the cocktails were out of this world, never tasted anything like them. The owner is a very cool and friendly guy who can’t do enough for you. Don’t go to Amsterdam without paying a visit!
