Rura by Naomi & Joey in Wijk 00 Centrum

My husband and I visited Rura for the second time, and that alone speaks volumes about how fantastic the entire experience was. I don't usually take my husband, a chef himself, to the same restaurant a second time. But on our first visit, we were thrilled from start to finish with the quality of the food, the creativity, the presentation, and the service. The atmosphere is relaxed, fun, welcoming, and yet highly professional. Since I had to drive, I was offered a non-alcoholic aperitif. I've never tasted a non-alcoholic sparkling wine that I enjoyed so much. Rarely do we eat a menu where I'm still thrilled by every single course. Not a single course seems overly opulent. Every single component is simply delicious, perfectly seasoned, and beautifully presented. We thank you so much for the experience. Dear Michelin, where is the star?!

On April 18th we went to the Rura restaurant for the second time, we were once again thrilled with the food, the wine pairing and the excellent service. Everything was harmonious, delicious right up to the end with all the chocolates with the coffee. This time we took accommodation in Roermond to enjoy the gastronomic experience.

A fantastic evening with fabulous food in modern rooms and best of all: first-class and unobtrusive service. Oysters, ham, amuse-bouches and the 7-course menu with Wagyu! A culinary highlight and we will definitely come back soon. Absolute recommendation!! 5⭐️

Met een groep vrienden gelunched op zaterdagmiddag! Van binnenkomst tot aan vertrek één groot feest. Wij kozen het zeven gangen menu en was van begin tot eind fantastisch, de uitgebreide wijnkaart en de correcte, attente, vriendelijke bediening maakten het compleet! Echt zeer de moeite waard !!!

Very tasty meal. A few dishes stood out for me. The kingfish was incredibly tasty, so special in taste! But the mango with the rendang was also excellent. The dessert was surprising. The service was extremely good. The Indonesian lady brought cheerfulness to the table. All in all a great price-quality ratio. I will definitely go back here!

We hebben een werkelijk fantastische avond gehad bij Rura in Roermond. Voor ons stond het JRE Menu RURA 6 gangen op het programma, en wat een ervaring was dat! Het restaurant zelf straalt warmte en elegantie uit, een perfecte setting voor een culinaire verwennerij. Het Menu Elk gerecht was een feestje op zich. De Japanse Kagoshima Wagyu stal absoluut de show. Het vlees smolt op de tong en werd prachtig gecombineerd met verrassende smaken en texturen. De opbouw van de gerechten in het menu was doordacht en zorgde ervoor dat we van begin tot eind verrast werden. De presentatie was kunstzinnig, zonder te overdrijven, en het straalde pure vakmanschap uit. Service De bediening was precies zoals je hoopt: professioneel, vriendelijk en met een scherp oog voor detail. Ze wisten precies wanneer ze moesten vragen of alles naar wens was en gaven bij elke gang een heldere uitleg. De bijpassende wijnen maakten de gerechten compleet en waren een mooie aanvulling op de smaken. Waarom Rura een aanrader is Wat deze avond zo bijzonder maakte, was het totaalplaatje. Het eten was subliem, de sfeer gezellig en de service uitmuntend. Het team van Rura heeft duidelijk passie voor wat ze doen, en dat voel je in alles. Voor ons was dit een avond om nooit te vergeten. Als je in Roermond bent en jezelf echt iets bijzonders wilt gunnen, is Rura absoluut de plek. Wij komen zeker terug!

We had a truly fantastic evening at Rura in Roermond. The JRE Menu RURA 6 courses was on the program for us, and what an experience that was! The restaurant itself radiates warmth and elegance, a perfect setting for a culinary treat. The Menu Every dish was a party in itself. Japan's Kagoshima Wagyu absolutely stole the show. The meat melted on the tongue and was beautifully combined with surprising flavors and textures. The structure of the dishes in the menu was well thought out and ensured that we were surprised from start to finish. The presentation was artistic, without exaggerating, and it radiated pure craftsmanship. Service The service was exactly as you would hope: professional, friendly and with a keen eye for detail. They knew exactly when to ask if everything was to your liking and gave clear explanations for each course. The matching wines completed the dishes and were a nice addition to the flavors. Why Rura is recommended What made this evening so special was the overall experience. The food was sublime, the atmosphere cozy and the service excellent. The Rura team clearly has a passion for what they do, and you can feel that in everything. For us this was an evening we will never forget. If you are in Roermond and really want to treat yourself to something special, Rura is definitely the place. We will definitely come back!

Vriendelijk en professioneel ontvangst. Temperatuur in het restaurant is erg aangenaam. Wij zijn voor het 5 gangen menu (met vlees) gegaan. Iedere gang was echt verrukkelijk. De smaken verschillende smaken pasten perfect bij elkaar. Iedere gang werd duidelijk toegelicht en uitgelegd hoe te eten. Achteraf nog een latte gedaan. Hierbij ontvang je koffieservice waar je lekkernijen voor bij de koffie mag kiezen. Wat had ik een spijt dat ik maar één fudge had genomen. Nog nooit zo’n lekkere fudge gehad. Wij hebben direct besloten, gauw terug te komen

What a nice experience we had at Rura! We ate there as a couple on a Saturday evening (5/10/24) and were welcomed with a smile from start to finish. We opted for the 6-course menu: super well prepared, delicious flavor combinations, fresh and explosive in the mouth. When the hall staff had their hands full, the young kitchen staff took care of the service: all very correct! We heard that in the kitchen only the chef and sous-chef were permanent employees and the other employees were all interns. Their team in the kitchen changes every 8 weeks. Compliments to the team for always putting their trust in a team of interns with a lot of patience and dedication. They all seemed confident, which we thought was a real plus on top of the evening, because the service was great! I had reported an allergy when I made my reservation and I did not have to report this once: it had already been taken into account. In short: we completely agree: Rura is highly recommended!

Delicious food, in a beautiful atmosphere. This fantastic business is hidden in a stately building. From a welcome with a glass of Rosé Cremant accompanied by original appetizers, to the rendang according to the family recipe (recommended!) and finally the surprising friandises. 2e keer bij Rura met nog 2 stellen. De entourage is prima en ‘t eten is van hoge kwaliteit. Wat mij tegenviel dat er ongevraagd onbeperkt water werd bij geschonken a 7,50 per fles ( 10 flessen op de rekening ).

What a great evening we had at Rura! We made a last minute reservation because we wanted a really catered dinner and were certainly not disappointed. From reception to departure the service was perfect! Nice balance between a personal approach and discretion, classy without exaggerating. Extra kudos to the lady who, she told us, worked her first evening in Rura. That was certainly not noticeable! The dishes did not disappoint either. The flavors were good and sometimes surprising. Presentation top! Incomprehensible that they score “only” 13.5 in GM.

Star level, young passionate team, with soul, absolutely cozy and the wine accompaniment is a harmonious highlight with the dishes. The service is committed, friendly, warm, authentic, not fake and with a lot of love, detail and knowledge of the product. The little works of art from the kitchen don't take long to arrive. We treated ourselves to the dinner as a birthday meal and agreed that it was our best meal of the whole year. Thank you Team Rura ❤️

Juli 2023: Hier gaan eten voor de verjaardag van mijn echtgenote. Heel gezellig restaurant met heel vriendelijke bediening. Heel lekker en verzorgd eten. 5 op5 vind ik misschien té perfect, dan is er geen plaats meer voor verbetering, dus ik zou liever 9 op10 geven, dan 4 op 5. P.S. (persoonlijke ervaring) We hadden op een gegeven moment met een 5 gangen menu, een 15-20 tal minuten, (redelijk lang vonden we) dat we zaten wachten met een lege tafel. Zonder drank (er wordt geen wijn bijgeschonken) en ook geen eten. Dit vonden we een kleine sfeerbreker!

Fantastisch gegeten! Mooi restaurant top bediening. Keuken met veel glas waardoor je alles kan volgen. Een grote toevoeging was de ontspanning die de keuken uitstraalde tijdens het maken van de voortreffelijke gerechten. Niks dan lof!

Vanavond genoten van een 7 gangen menu met begeleidende wijnen. Heerlijk genoten, prachtige gerechten, mooie wijnen, zeer goede, vriendelijke bediening. Aanrader! Wij komen zeker terug.

Over Rura in Roermond durf ik te beweren dat het me niet zou verbazen als deze kundige, vriendelijke en toegewijde restauranthouders volgend jaar een ster krijgen. We kregen onze menu-keuze mee naar huis op papier. Fijn, om na te genieten, want het was zo geweldig verfijnd, lekker en een lust ook voor het oog.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a fine dining restaurant that truly went above and beyond to make my friend's birthday celebration an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we were greeted with warm hospitality and impeccable service. The restaurant's ambiance was elegant and sophisticated, and the staff was attentive and knowledgeable, making sure that every detail of our dining experience was perfect. The menu was carefully curated, and the dishes we ordered were a true work of art. But what really set this restaurant apart was the surprise birthday celebration they prepared for my friend. Without any prompting, the staff somehow knew that it was my friend's special day and surprised her with a complimentary dessert that was not only beautiful but also delicious. It was a heartfelt gesture that made my friend feel incredibly special and appreciated. Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Mooi restaurant, Sfeervol ingericht. Vriendelijke en attente bediening. We waren verrast door het zeer goede vegetarisch menu! Green menu. Dit is in de regio een van de weinige plekken waar met zoveel aandacht en begrip een vegetarisch menu is samen gesteld! Het is een ware smaakbeleving, met mooie en pure ingredienten.

Vandaag heerlijk geluncht bij Rura om verjaardag van mijn vader en mijn lief te vieren. Prachtige gerechtjes voor het oog en de smaakpapillen, mooie bijpassende wijnen . Groot succes!

Great fine dining, absolutely nice and tasty food with lot of creativity, excellent service and very attentively on details from the staff and priced reasonably within this category of fine dining restaurants. Restaurant itself is also quit cosy. I think, they might get their 1st Michelin star soon as the chef and the restaurant has potential to grow. (maybe toilets could get a little make over) :-)

Eten is prima en de gerechten zien er verzorgd uit. Amuses zijn geweldig. Je krijgt er verschillende. Minpunt voor ons was dat er zaken werden geserveerd waar we niet om gevraagd hadden maar achteraf wel op de rekening stonden, zoals een extra fles water (glazen werden aangevuld zonder dat er werd gevraagd of je nog wilde), ook bij de koffie werden friandises geserveerd (niet besteld maar ook door de bediening niet gevraagd of aangegeven) die achteraf in rekening werden gebracht. Dus mbt communicatie richting de gasten is er voor RURA nog wel een stap te zetten. Algemene indruk is goed, prijs/kwaliteit verhouding ligt naar onze mening wat scheef (iets te duur naar verhouding).

Ongeloofelijk verzorgd van begin tot einde. Mensen met vakkennis, maar durven de klassieke weg te verlaten. Alles klopte. Voor ons is dit een ontdekking.

Rundum perfekt. Speisen sehr lecker. Service vorbildlich. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Weiter so dann gibt's Sterne. Die 13 GM Punkte sind definitiv zu wenig.

Heerlijke avond gehad bij Naomi en Joey van Rura. De gerechten waren erg lekker en de bediening zeer gastvrij. Dit in een sfeervolle ambiance. Grandioses Essen, toller Service, schöne Location!

In 1 woord: super! Wij hebben er gisteren gegeten en wat anderen hier al schrijven klopt helemaal. Naomi en Joey verstaan hun vak perfect en laten je op heel hoog niveau een fantastische smaaksensatie beleven.

Super ervaring, aan alle details is gedacht. Smaken en wijnarrangement (en ook alcohol vrij en bier arrangement) blijven verrassen. Hooguit een informeler babbeltje miste we soms.

Wij hebben hier gegeten, alles klopte.. de gerechten en de wijnen zijn echt heerlijk. Het is 2,5 uur rijden voor ons maar speciaal voor hun kom ik zeker nog is terug. Echt genoten! Aan alles is gedacht! Tijd dat ze een ster krijgen!

Location ist schön. Das Essen ist geschmackvoll und gut zubereitet. Der Service nett, aber etwas unsicher. Die Chefin hebt sch durch die Kleidung ab, kommt dadurch etwas zu streng und etwas zu professionell rüber. Erwartet man eher in einem Restaurant, das auf Masse ausgerichtet ist. Etwas mehr Coolness wäre angebracht. Zu Getränken wird man intensiv genötigt. Man weiss hier schon womit in der Gastro das Geld verdient wird. Änderungen im Menü kosten 8,50 €. Erwartet man vllt in der Pizzeria um die Ecke, aber nicht hier

Really fantastic cuisine. The composition of each meal was creative and beautifully arranged - and the quality was on point. We had 5 courses and it kept getting better and better. The lobster and the lamb was fabulous. Aside of the that you can feel the passion of the team for the food and it's really just a wonderful atmosphere. Can't recommend enough!

Super great restaurant, maybe now is best timing to have dinner here before they get their own Michelin star and get difficult to book. The drink and the food are top, we have 2 kids who need to go to school next day so we only try 4 hang menu, every dish is wonderful. The most wonderful dish to me is the Halibut with palling, the halibut is fried and the sauce is kind like Chinese steam fish sauce, the combination is very tasteful and great! The garnish of this dish is Shanghai green and Chinese Kool, really add more fun, my respect to the chef. P.S the kid’s food is also very delicious and thoughtful, the spaghettini is made on spot , the chef even fried fish for them, a very balanced meal, boys love it.
