Wow, what a wonderful evening we had here, the food was delicious, especially the price and quality were very good. Very nice wines on the menu and passion of the host/hostess. Feel free to go here if you want to be pampered.

Sal do Mar was recommended to me before, and rightly so! The food and the evening were great. Beautiful dishes, good explanations and pleasant flavors. The staff works well together and everything flows together nicely, the explanation from one person, a quick check to see if everything is okay from the other, pouring the wine from another. Not divided per table, but everyone pays attention to what the guests need. The food is beautifully prepared, nice flavors and pleasant combinations. We had a 5 course dinner with an addition; oysters for starters and friandises for dessert, that was a very good choice! The dishes are surprising, fresh, and beautifully combined. I recommend everyone to eat here and be surprised!

Had a wonderful evening at Sal so Mar. We were a group of 3. They were able to take our dietary requirements into account with the menu (1x no meat, 1x no fish & meat). Choose a nice bottle of wine from the wine list, followed by a delicious glass of red. The friendly, knowledgeable service made it a very successful experience for us, one worth repeating!

Had dinner at Sol do Mar to celebrate various things; birthday, end of vacation, new job. That turned out to be a great choice. Delicious food on their sunny terrace (lucky with the weather). Such surprising combinations on our plate, a real treat. As a BOB, I enjoyed the fruit juices that are also offered. In short, I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere created by the team.

Enjoyed! Location / reception. On the advice of a friend, we entered Sal de Mare. When you pass by, it seems like a fairly inconspicuous restaurant in the most bustling street in Rhenen. Once inside, we were immediately greeted by the eccentric fine (wine) dining atmosphere. We were welcomed by a hostess who politely took our coat and asked what place we had in mind. It is a relatively small location with room for approximately 35 guests. Due to the small space in combination with a semi-open kitchen, you would expect that it could be a potentially noisy evening. However, thanks to tactically placed sound-absorbing cushions under the table, nothing could be further from the truth. Menu / food I had already read in advance on the website which option they offered regarding the menu. Our eye quickly fell on the 6-course menu in which various delicious meat, fish and Vega dishes were served to us. As a "regular carnivore", I was amazed by the taste of the Vega dish: cashew nut pate with watermelon and forest mushrooms. However, the veal cheek was my undisputed favorite. The courses were served with a matching wine course that brought out the flavors in the food playfully yet smoothly. What really surprised me was the choice of "juices" This made me so curious that I gave up my regular drink choice as Bob: sparkling water with lemon. The waiter and waitress brought the juices to you with the same precision as they did with the wines. She explained the background, different fruits and herbs and why they suited the dish. Every question was countered with a sharp yet friendly and correct answer. This ensured that as a non-alcoholic drinker you did not end up in the "damn corner" which is the case at many restaurants. Deviating from the menu was no problem at all, which in my opinion shows professionalism (being able to color outside the lines) Service / customer focus The owners (a married couple) of Sal de Mar were present on the work floor and created an extremely harmonious atmosphere in combination with a huge healthy dose of passion. The staff was driven, respectful and went about their work with the utmost care. You noticed that, as later confirmed, the menu was put together together because everyone was enthusiastic about their own chosen dish. This made the evening out even more entertaining because you could see the effort and care that went into each dish. Questions were answered neatly and later in the evening, as the place emptied, the atmosphere became a little more friendly, after which there was room to ask more about the origin of the wines, juices, dishes, entrepreneurship in the catering industry and possible struggles. that running a business together can bring. In short: A great evening with lots of information, varied and innovative delicious food, Professionalism and all this with a smile where the staff takes the time for you. Gisteren geluncht en een drie gangen menu gekozen. Dit waren echt pareltjes en dan ook nog drie amuses. Het was allemaal voortreffelijk.

Wij zijn hier al vaak geweest voor zowel lunch als diner en Sal do Mar is ons favoriete restaurant! Het blijft een feestje om hier te komen. De kwaliteit van het eten en de bediening is altijd super. Ze blijven ons verassen met de prachtige gerechten, zo ook vandaag weer. Wij snappen niet waarom ze geen ster hebben.

Heerlijke avond gehad, met warm weer op 't terras buiten, top. Vooral ook heerlijk gegeten, 6+gangen +1 extra dish, half wijn arrangement erbij. Veel verschillende smaken, mooie combinaties, en leuk gepresenteerd en vriendelijk geserveerd. Aanwinst voor de regio, als je 't mij vraagt.

Wéér een heerlijke smaakbeleving gehad. Het was echt een avond genieten van met zorg en liefde bereidde gerechten. Wijn, maar zeker ook de sappen, zijn een aanrader.

Wat is dit een fijne locatie. De bediening is heel zorgzaam, beleefd, gastvrij en persoonlijk. Het eten is fantastisch. Een briljantje combinatie van geweldig mooi opgemaakte bordjes met fantastische smaakcombinaties en -ervaringen. Sal Do Mar is echt goud voor Rhenen...!

Met vier personen een viergangendiner genuttigd bij Sal do Mar. In plaats van een wijnarrangement kan je ook kiezen voor het alcoholvrije saparrangement. Dat vonden wij een erg leuke toevoeging, want ook over elke sap is nagedacht en komt met een mooi verhaal. Zo hebben degene die geen alcohol drinken toch ook dezelfde experience. Het eten was goed verzorgd, de borden worden mooi opgemaakt en bij elke gang krijg je een ander lid van het keukenteam aan je tafel.

Prima en nette bediening Lekkere lunch

Heel lekker gegeten in dit restaurant. Een vast menu maar er wordt heel goed rekening gehouden met de wensen en dieeten van de gasten. Leuke mondvermakers vooraf. Menu is gevarieerd met mooie smaakcombinaties. Menu is nog uit te breiden met verschillende bites. Waaronder oesters. Tip: de oesters met de kruiden likeur zijn lekker en zien er prachtig uit, maar voor sommigen onder ons waren de kruiden te sterk, geef de keuze ze ook te serveren met alleen een citroentje of wat balsamicoazijn
