We had the most lovely staff helping us, the coffee and tea was delicious and we were able to sit outside in the sun and eat these pretty & tasty (and filling!) bowls. Would definitely recommend😊

One of my favorite spots in Amsterdam. Really authentic coffee shop with delicious coffee’s (my favorite’s are the chai latte and flat whites). Really positive vibes and the staff is very friendly. Highly recommend.

Sams is your home away from home. I always feel welcome here, whether I’m with my daughter or alone to work for an hour.

I visited on a Tuesday afternoon for some studying time. The café was not overly crowded, and the background music is pleasant. The staff is friendly, and they provide Wi-Fi and WC. Some of the tables are laptop-free, so you need to choose your seat carefully if you want to use your laptop. They also offer charging outlets. My flat white was decent. I would definitely consider revisiting or checking out their other locations in Noord.

Terrible coffee, tasted like it was made yesterday with a poor machine and reheated in a microwave. Very bitter. No music in the place makes for a weird non cozy vibe

Specialty coffee served by the friendliest of Amsterdam’s cafe bar owners. The place is perfect for breakfast (açaí bowl is highly recommended), the coffee is good even for coffee snobs and they serve matcha too!

Coffee is truly amazing, one of the best! But the food is disappointing

Matcha latte was prepared well but lacked quality, didn’t taste as it should. Chai latte was ok. Overall the place benefit from a little more coziness, it felt a bit soulless

Even though this cafe is located on the buzzy ten Kate market street, It has a very nice, quiet, and local vibe. I have a wonderful experience each time I come here. The latte is amazing. The extra smooth foam on the top is my favorite. Really friendly people working there as well.

I’m a local in the trendy neighbourhood of Kinkerstraat. Sam’s koffie is the original place on the franchise. I come in regularly and it’s always nice . Today Weds 24 I was impressed with Floor a very sweet blond lady . I stayed for two chai lattes. The atmosphere was a great starting point for my day. If your in the neighbourhood or just visiting pop by music was Norah jones and acoustic chill out vibes .

Sam's! The Local coffee spot of west Kate market. Nasim and his colleagues know everyone. Friendly, sincere and delicious. This is where I start my morning every week. In the summer in the sun. And the winter cozy inside.!

I came to visit the market and found a coffee shop that hadn't opened yet. The coffee is worth drinking, but the dessert is a little weird because it's something that was made yesterday and taken out of the refrigerator. The star rating has been high, so so. ^^

I been here like 4 times for breakfast now. I got the summer bowl three times and then my last day in Amsterdam I got the Acai bowl. I really like th granola in the dish. I got oatmilk latte three times and then a flat white the last time. I have enjoyed all of it and service is very warm and kind. It is always nice when the servers speak to you with a friendly smile. I hope I can come one more time before I return home!

At first the cafe looks lovely, but inside it was stifling, and windows don’t open that easily. Besides, the coffee was bitter, I took latte, paid 4,70€ and I didn’t enjoy it, unfortunately. My friend took flat white, and also didn’t like it. The service is nice though. I didn’t try desserts, so cannot say anything about that 🙃 *some additional info after the owner of the cafe replied to me: they answered the latte costs 4,20, but I was charged 4,70€ which is confirmed by my bank. It is a pity I can’t reply back to the cafe’s response, but the truth should be acknowledged. Please, don’t sugarcoat your situation, thank you.

So I decided to take a long walk, run errands, and breathe some air after staying at home for over 2 weeks blue & gloomy. Passed by the place, there was something drawing my attention to it, invisible strings pulling me to it; got it, and boy that positive energy flow that attacked me was stunning! Got my coffee, Nasim; owner/barista with a constant smile, and that positive charm gives you boosts of all good things in the universe effortlessly, he also gave me a rewards’ punching card. Coffee was super delicious, moreover was his attitude, the ambiance, the chit chat, it was all like stars were aligned for a greater purpose! When you’re feeling low, sad, or just blue thinking nothing can fix that; go there and I am sure they’ll make your day, and colour your imagination. Thank you for that, I am forever grateful, you’ve made my day, put a smile on me face, made me forget that agony I was feeling, and fixed me with coffee! CHEERS🖤

We stayed nearby and went for the grade (4.9) but it is very far from reality. The place is not bad, but the coffee and food were not good. The staff is very friendly and I liked the atmosphere, but the low mark is for the food and the coffee, which was terrible and the milk was burnt.

This cafe is deffo one to go to! The coffees were lovely especially the cappuccinos! The acai bowl and summer bowl were both delicious, although if you don’t like cinnamon type of spice flavour, ask without granola. The staff were lovely as well as the interior would deffo go again!

Super informatieve en leuke masterclass barista workshop gehad! Niet alleen mooie figuren leren maken (latte art) en zelf de espressomachine mogen bedienen, maar ook ontzettend veel geleerd over het groei-, verwerkings- en brandproces van koffie en de grote verschillen tussen koffiebonen. Bovendien écht leren proeven wat er allemaal in kwalitatieve specialty coffee aan complexe smaken te ontdekken valt! Sam was erg aardig en had veel aandacht voor de groep, en straalde passie uit voor zijn vak. Het was het perfecte verjaardagscadeau voor mijn vriend!

If I had a bonus to give 10 stars a couple of time per year, I would most probably use it for Sam's koffie. Everything is excellent here: staff, ambience, and the coffee of course.

Properly served by nice staff, all by the book. As coffee is very personal matter, I don’t dare to comment on its taste, but I definitely recommend to stop by and make your own judgement.

This was a lovely experience! The coffee and banana bread were great, but the atmosphere and kindness of the owner is what set this place over the top. This is a must visit to start your day on a great note while in Amsterdam!

the atmoshere is really cozy and the place is really nice. there was also some upbeat jazzy music playing! i ordered an iced latte for 4 euros - it was delicious and a decent size for the price. if you’re wandering the streets of amsterdam and stumble upon this coffee shop i really reccomend you try it out :)

For if you like hot, strong, flavourful coffee. I had a delicious piping hot cappuccino. I will be back for the friendly service, good spot in the sun, and the yummy cuppa. This is great compared to places that serve the coffee only tepid (probably for barista reasons unknown to me - which I don’t mind that much - but it does mean you have less time to enjoy a blissful coffee moment). So, I’ll definitely be back at Sam’s in the near future.
