Truly fantastic! The pizzas and calzones at San Mario in Zeewolde are delicious, fresh, well-topped, and just as they should be. What struck me most was the excellent service. There were accidentally mushrooms on my pizza, but that was resolved immediately and very politely. Truly customer-friendly, which you don't see very often! Other pizzerias/restaurants could really learn a thing or two from this. We will definitely be back! The food is delicious, and the staff are great! Thanks for the great service! 👏🏻

We've eaten here dozens of times and gotten takeout, and it's never disappointed. The food is delicious, and the service is friendly. There's also a cozy terrace by the water. I think the decor could be a bit more upscale, but then they'd get 5 stars for everything. Tip: Salmon lasagna, very delicious.

We went for dinner on Saturday night as regulars, made our reservations, and panicked upon arrival: there was no room! We were finally given a table for 4, just the two of us. We were seated at 6:00 PM, and were quickly told we had to hurry up because our table had to be freed for the next customer. "Do you already know what you want to eat? 3 or 4 times," the food is delicious, but we've never been looked down upon by the staff and owner in this way. It's a shame, but we won't be eating here again 🥘!! Shame on you! FYI, there were no tables for 2 left, so we either had to leave or take the table for 4. As we were leaving, we saw two people already walking towards our table. They were told, "Just 5 more minutes and the table we were at would be free!" We hadn't even paid yet.

Delicious pizzas, and the pasta arabiatia and vegetarian melanzane are also recommended. Regarding the pizzas: delicious sauce, a good amount of toppings. Unfortunately, upon delivery, the crust is often a bit soft (perhaps because the pizza softens after a while in a sealed box?) and a bit salty, hence the 5-star rating. But definitely the best pizza in Zeewolde.

Upon arrival, we were immediately shown to a table where we had to wait quite a while before someone came to ask if we wanted the menu and something to drink. After receiving the menu, it took quite a while before anyone came to take our order. We placed our order and also ordered a bottle of wine to go with our meal. The appetizer arrived, but no wine. The main course arrived, and still no wine. We were a bit disappointed. People who arrived shortly after us were helped immediately. We didn't feel seen.

Decent. Nothing special. Quite pricey for what you get. The fries were okay, though. Even though it was quiet, we weren't allowed to choose our own table. We were allowed to after insisting.

There were three of us and we received a very warm welcome! We were surprised by the chef, and the food was delicious! We had a bit of everything! From shrimp to a delicious piece of tender meat! After almost two years of eating at our favorite restaurant almost every week! A well-deserved review! I was reading through the reviews and what a bunch of "whiners" you sometimes find there...people who don't understand busy times and have to wait a bit longer, and whine about the staff occasionally bringing drinks, yuck! A well-deserved 5 stars here anyway! The food is always delicious! The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is polite and competent, and the prices are nice and reasonable... and yes, when it's busy, you sometimes have to wait a bit longer for your food, just like at any restaurant! And yes, mistakes happen sometimes; these are people who are passionately preparing your food! My girlfriend and I were there together, she ordered lasagne, I ordered medium rare ribeye with potatoes. The lasagne was excellent, hot and there was enough of everything in it. The ribeye was already cold. There were not enough straws and pepper shakers on the tables. The sun was also shining in our eyes, but they did not raise the umbrellas, although they were raised in the neighboring establishment Lux. But overall I can recommend going, a large selection of menu

Hello, we arrived at San Mario on July 27, 2025, as vacationers, and we were very happy to have ended up here. The spare ribs and all the trimmings were fantastic. The atmosphere was fantastic, and everything was very clean. The service was very friendly and helpful, even with language difficulties. I can unconditionally recommend San Mario. The value for money was also simply excellent. Best regards.

On Tuesday, August 19th, we arrived at 5:30 PM to sit on the terrace for dinner. It was still quiet, and we ordered a starter and a main course. The starter was promptly delivered, and it tasted delicious, making us eager for the main course. Unfortunately, we never got to enjoy it. After waiting an hour, we asked if it would be much longer. It turned out the kitchen hadn't even started preparing our main course yet, and that it would be at least another 30 minutes. Meanwhile, we saw that guests who had arrived later than us were already being served their food. Because we had a 5-month-old baby with us, we unfortunately couldn't wait any longer and were forced to leave. To our disappointment, we had to pay the full price for what we had already eaten. What a shame, this wasn't a pleasant experience.

Highly recommended! The two of us went to San Mario's and had a fantastic evening. The food was fresh, delicious, and the portions were more than generous – the pizza was a particular highlight. 🍕 The atmosphere is cozy, typically Italian, and you immediately feel welcome. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive. Even though the restaurant was busy, we got our food quickly. The value for money is absolutely spot on! We'll definitely be back.

Edit: The last pizza was delicious again, and when ordering pasta for delivery, I added the note "please low salt." This seems to help, because it was already much better! 😃 It's a restaurant we really enjoyed and often order delivery. Lately, all the dishes I've had have been way too salty. I don't know what happened, but I'm giving up. I've mentioned it countless times. Such a shame; it was a real favorite.

Delicious, good atmosphere, nice location.

Sat on the terrace by the water. The food was very good, but the service is a mess. Teenagers don't really know how to handle things. Our table was dirty from the previous guests, we had no cutlery when the food arrived, some guests had to wait a very long time. The hostess was grumbling about her staff. You could feel the tension. Too bad!

On command, our wishes were taken by a member of staff. There was no friendly word. If we thought about her command for 3 seconds, she repeated it again with the same words and tone. The food was also disappointing. What used to be a delicious gorgonzola sauce over a tender piece of meat (a dream dish) was now a flour porridge with a little gorgonzola flavor. The meat was also, in our opinion, an ordinary schnitzel instead of veal oyster. The pizza Calzone-cheese was delicious. All in all, no longer our favorite Italian in Zeewolde.

Delicious pizzas. The pizza margherita's cheese tasted delicious. The pizza salami was a bit disappointing, we had the idea that the cheapest supermarket salami was used for this, very salty. The pizza di parma on the other hand... so delicious. Very soft parma ham, delicious toppings! The tastiest ever!

Cozy place in Zeewolde where you can eat excellently with a group of people. Staff is friendly, atmosphere among colleagues seems to be good. However, I find it very unprofessional that one of the employees, the owner herself, drank several wines behind the bar, while she was helping customers, may expect some professionalism in that.

Our favorite place for Italian. The pizzas are great and generously topped, but the meat, fish and pasta dishes are also really great! The location at the harbor gives a holiday feeling. Sometimes the staff is a bit inexperienced, but hey, everyone has to learn! We like to come here and as often as we can!

Four of us went to this restaurant on our vacation. The food tastes excellent and the ambience is wonderful too. We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the water. When we finished eating we were offered dessert. We also ordered some of these, but the negative thing was that we had to wait about 30 minutes for them. Since the food was very good, we found this to be a real shame as it brought down our experience. Otherwise the service was very nice. I would like to go there again on my next vacation and hope for improvement.

Horrible place, we came here in the hope of eating a good pizza and having a good time. They put us at a dirty table, not a problem since it was very busy. We had to ask them to come clean the table since no one was coming. Then we ordered drinks but my husband had a trace of lipstick on his glass. So we asked one of the waiter who seemed completely lost and had no idea of what was happening. He took the glass but never brought another one. I asked what were the options for the children, they had no idea and said they would ask. They never came back. Then we waited forever to be able to order, we asked several times, they always said to wait, so in the end we just had to give up. We have a toddler and she only has so much patience. It was the first time we were taking some quality time at a restaurant as a family, and they completely ruined it. I used to order pizzas there for pickup, I will never order again, they upsetted me too much.

Excellent Italian restaurant on the Raadhuisplein and with a view over the harbor in Zeewolde. The menu is varied, with pizzas, pasta dishes, but also grill dishes. Staff are friendly and hospitable. In addition to the restaurant, they also have a beautiful large terrace (ideal for a nice drink).

Well eaten and enjoyed! The service was also pleasant! They have it under control! A starter sandwich, starter and main course within an hour. We were in no hurry, but there was no need to wait long. Top top top😊😉 Haven't been there for a while, but there has been a lot of fun and good investment in a new ambiance!

Dear Jolanda and Rawand, since I cannot respond to my review, we called on Sunday at 6:48 PM and I do not remember a name, I even asked colleagues during the call, then you may be able to find out which colleague that was. . It would be nice to get feedback after all, I don't have a missed call or voicemail. But nothing found so far, very frustrating!! Unfortunately I can't rate the food, because I haven't had it! We called this week to ask if we could pick up at Christmas, no problem at all and then you think, let's place our order well in advance and you'll get the lid on your nose, you'll be in Zeewolde on Christmas Day. without food. Do we have to find something outside the village? It's really terrible! Service -5, atmosphere plummeted to below freezing point. We will never go there again, and we used to order there regularly, but now we're done with it!

We have just ordered food (pasta carbonarra & a pizza.) Received a confirmation via email with a time slot of the expected delivery time. It was delivered promptly within the stated time. Big plus points for that! The food was delivered by a friendly gentleman who also handed it over neatly. What surprised me was that he had a container with him that kept the food warm. Super handy!! :) The food is great & looks good and delicious. All in all a very good service! Thank you!

We arrived late from abroad and even though the kitchen would close in fifteen minutes, we were still welcome. We were happy with that. The service was very friendly and attentive. And then the food. My husband really liked the pizza and I thought the risotto with tenderloin tips was downright divine. It was no problem at all that I indicated at the end that I was not allowed to eat mushrooms. In short: highly recommended!

If you're looking for gluten-free pizzas, you've come to the right place. My wife has to avoid gluten and was simply thrilled with the pizza. I had pasta with scampi and loved it too. Staff friendly and very accommodating.

Fast service despite a full restaurant, friendly staff.

Maybe don't accept as many reservations when you have so few staff. After 45 minutes we received the first drinks and after almost 1.5 hours the first starter was served. The baskets of bread for the entire table contained little bread. The food was generally very good but some dishes (and cocktails!) were really too salty. Edit in response to the restaurant's response: You would expect that good food safety is standard and not an extra service that we should be extremely grateful for despite the crowds. Especially in a pregnant woman. Additional explanation on how to recognize it was not accepted. The choice to continue to let people in spontaneously while the capacity in the kitchen has not yet been allocated does not help the speed of service. You have probably served large groups before, but fortunately you are now entering the fall. We were asked several times if we could order extra bread. This was not necessary because this would come from the house. The bread that eventually arrived was insufficient for the table and was simply paid for. Furthermore, it is good that you realize that the salt had to be on the edge of the cocktail, but unfortunately that did not work out well in practice and there was more salt in the drink itself. I understand from the response below that feedback is not really appreciated. Too bad, because as mentioned, the food was really tasty.

What a treat it was at San Mario! The calzone and pizza were packed with flavor and richly filled. (The calzone looks small in the photo, but that's not the case. The plate is just very large.) The house bread beforehand was a nice extra. The cocktails and mocktails were very tasty and the special coffees with chocolate and caramel are highly recommended. The terrace was the perfect place to relax with nice lounge music and the service was very attentive. And all that for a nice price! Highly recommended!

Went tonight. The food was delicious and the service very nice. The only negative point and something to take into account. It can take a very long time. We were there with kids and waited for 1 hour for the food. That was just a little too long for the children. Otherwise very good quality. Meat was tender and pizza really tasty.

How bad this case has gotten. You are being ignored. Other guests go to receive their drink and menu card earlier. Then you order bread in advance and it doesn't arrive. Suddenly after an hour the main course of which the tenderloin was half warm. There was no cutlery, you have to wait for it, which makes your food cool down even further. Afterwards, while you want to pay, you are called to account by the owner because you are not allowed to say anything about bread that you ordered in advance and did not receive. The owner also acts as if her nose is bleeding and shouts when paying for a sandwich. We came here monthly, but that is over due to the attitude of the owner. Very unfortunate, but these owners are not an asset to Zeewolde. These owners do not realize that the customers keep their business running, they are in a unique location, but the quality and attitude of these people is a tragedy. It's a shame that the old owners have left because it was a top tent at the time. Unfortunately not anymore.

Really great food and delicious on the terrace! Very good service and the tenderloin is highly recommended! And to finish, a limoncello from the house is really great! And 3 courses with carpaccio and tenderloin and espresso martini and a few drinks for 50. - is also really great! Definitely recommend this restaurant.

I feel like the quality has decreased quite a bit over the past 3 years. It had gotten to the point where I would only order pizzas, because those were still quite good. Until today, where one of the pizzas we ordered had pesto on it. It was literally just pesto out of a jar from the supermarket, would recognize that taste anywhere. That's far too penetrating a taste to put on a pizza, completely ruining it in my opinion. Puzzles me that an Italian restaurant would apparently not make their own pesto, especially with basil being such a cornerstone of the Italian kitchen… sad to say, but this was the last visit for me. Edit: I see the owner's response regarding my comment about the pesto. As suggested, I also indicated this at the service. The waiter informed me that she would pass it on as a “tip to the kitchen”. How should I interpret this other than confirmation of my suspicion?

Had dinner at San Mario's in Zeewolde on Saturday evening, May 25, 2024. We had made a reservation and were welcomed at the door and our table was neatly set and ready. We started with a delicious fresh prosciutto melone and scampi a l'aglio e l'olio. Both of excellent quality. After this, a pizza Roberto or gorgonzola with mushrooms and a spicy pepperoni pizza. Both delicious and a nice size, not too small and not too big. As far as the service is concerned, we thought it was really great. Continuous attention to the guests by the ladies on duty. Even though the place was full, we didn't have to wait for anything. In short, nothing but praise for San Mario's and its staff. Compliments and keep it up.
