We had such a great meal here. The food is clearly freshly prepared; you can taste it right away. The staff really goes the extra mile for the guests, but without being pushy. Very friendly. The food was delicious and very well priced.

We order quite a lot from Sham, the food is authentic! However, it isnt what it used to be. The portions of salad and hummus keep getting smaller with every order which is a shame and its not as fresh. A chicken wrap had 2 pieces of chicken in it the last time which was basically just chewing on bread.

We ended up here because the Google reviews looked so tempting—and we're SO GLAD we did! Finding a parking spot nearby was a bit tricky, but it was worth it. We had the small Sham Deal for €79 for two people and have rarely left a restaurant so incredibly happy! Absolutely delicious and a perfectly balanced meal overall, with a fantastic fresh salad in the middle, incredibly tasty meat, sweet rice, various vegetable dips, and so much more. We can wholeheartedly recommend it!

A disrespectful place where there's no respect where a man works. I'm from Utrecht. When I walked in, he didn't welcome me. He told me I had an appointment. When he introduced Les Drinker and my girlfriend, he presented it in a disrespectful way. So I don't recommend it; it's disrespectful.

Sham Oost Restaurant is conveniently located in a quiet, upscale area. It's considered a good restaurant in terms of food quality and quantity, but its prices are considered exaggerated for the quantity. My order was mixed grill for one person, plus a plate of hummus and juice, for approximately €42. The portions for the grilled items were limited: only three small skewers, including kebab, shish tawook, and lamb, as shown in the picture. The hummus plate was also small. Overall, the food is good, and the staff are courteous. Note: Unfortunately, alcoholic beverages are sold in the restaurant. I mention this because some people don't prefer to enter restaurants that sell alcohol.

Every time I suggest a restaurant, my children only want one place: Sham Oost. They love their Shish Taouk, the Dawood Basha, the play area that makes the place unique, not to mention the beautiful view of the water. We've even celebrated birthdays there, and it's always a success: delicious food, a warm atmosphere, and a very attentive team. Thanks to Ahmed, the youngest waiter, and to the one who chose the best seat for us🌹. And I have to say: Sham's mohammara remains unbeatable, the best I've ever tasted! Highly recommended!! We hadn't made a reservation; we'd just come from Sail and had been volunteering, so we were looking for a restaurant nearby. We sat in the sun on the terrace for an hour—it was a lovely spot. We were served very quickly, and the food was delicious!

Everything at this restaurant is excellent! Get there early to get a table directly on the water. Order the chefs special. It comes with 6 different types of appetizers, 3 meat kebabs, 2 types of rice dishes, and 2 lamb dishes. This is the best way to get an authentic sampling of Syrian food. It was all delicious. It was more food than two of us could eat.

Sweet and everything is fine, but the halawat al-jibn is inedible at all, it is overstuffed, and the second thing is the price is very high. I didn't know that if there were tablecloths on the tables it would be 3 stars or above. So make sure of the prices before you go in. Of course I mean the middle class, but if your income is above 5,000 per month, go in and pay, it might be okay

A very tastefully decorated place right on the waterfront. The waiters made a real effort to explain the dishes with images from the internet. The starters and desserts were delicious. We are vegetarians and were won over by this restaurant.

Today we had dinner at Sham Oost Restaurant. By the grace of Allah, we were served with outstanding service from the exceptionally talented chef Saif, whose manner was extremely kind and courteous. We were a group of six people. The food was excellent and delicious — the grilled meats were tasty, and the appetizers were varied and flavorful. We enjoyed dessert and tea in the outdoor seating area of the restaurant, in a pleasant open-air atmosphere.

We had Freekeh and chicken (Dejaj) kebab came with salad and rice. For me Freekeh was the winner! We also had starter, I would say it was average. Followed by tea and sweets. The service was fast and friendly. They also have plenty of outdoor space which is great for summer. Highly recommend this place.

A Syrian restaurant in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam. We went to the restaurant twice, for breakfast and lunch. The portions were excellent and the food was very delicious. The service was excellent from the staff, and the atmosphere was generally very nice. The restaurant has outdoor seating in the front and a wonderful back area overlooking the river. Advance reservations are recommended. I highly recommend trying the restaurant.

The food was delicious and the service was perfect. We were 9 people and even had too much food, but everything was well eaten. There were many vegetarian dishes and also good vegan options. Das Restaurant befinder sich an unter einer Brücke an einem Kanal. Leider war das Wetter nicht zum draussen sitzen. Aber auch drinnen ist es sehr nett. Das Personal ist extrem freundlich und effizient. Die Speisekarte ist ziemlich gross und wir brauchten unser Zeit, bis wir da durch waren. Das ganze ist für uns Neulinge nicht ganz einfach. So bestellten wir eine Vorspeise und je eine Hauptspeise. Gebracht wurde alles miteinander. Aber das Essen war herrlich. Hühnerleber und Hünerspiess. Mir 2 Reis, Syrischem Brot und etwas Gemüse. Dazu einen libanesischen Rotwein. Es war ein spannender und lehrreicher Abend

Leuke locatie, sfeervol, goede en snelle bediening en het eten is prima. De drankjes waren ook top trouwens. Je kan ook op het terras aan het water zitten. De mezzes en kipspiezen waren echt heerlijk! De specialiteit van de chef en de kebab had ik meer van verwacht. Deze vond ik een beetje flauw, waar ik een smaakbom had verwacht. Ik miste knoflook en peper daarin, dan zou het perfect zijn. Al met al een prima ervaring.
