Shamrock Irish Pub in Wijk 00 Centrum

We watched the Netherlands vs. Germany football match here, so it was very crowded, but the staff were still friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. Just what you want, simply perfect :)

Genuinely a great place to have a couple of drinks with friends. By far has the best atmosphere out of every pub in Maastricht. I recommend coming here during happy hour (7-9pm)

I saw a girl at the bar being physically harassed by a man she did not know. She was ignoring him so he proceeded to start kicking her, invade her space, and verbally harass her while she could not get away. He then put his head on her shoulder and she turned around and slapped him with her bag and the bar tenders proceeded to kick HER out. This place is clearly not safe for women, but a good place for perverts to harass innocent young women trying to have a good night out. Terrible service do not come here i am truly appalled

I've been coming here since 2001; it remains a wonderful pub.

Best Irish pub in the Netherlands

was there yesterday. guy behind the bar was very unfriendly. after closing we stood outside with a small group having a smoke and the bartender came rushing out and yelling at us to be quiet. he said it was late at night and people will complain. he was right about us being too loud and I apologised and agreed with him, though I didn’t like his immediate aggressive approach, I understood that this might be something he has to deal with a lot. however, after agreeing with him he was VERY persistent and kept trying to make a point which was already made. which made me feel like he was honestly just in a terrible mood. not a way to treat your customers. I will be coming back because I love this place and I hope next time the bartender resolved whatever he has going on at home.

Had a nice drink with a game of pool and table football. Small and old-fashioned, but that’s exactly what makes it atmospheric and cozy! Definitely recommended.

I got racially profiled there by the bartender and a staff member this week :D. Definitely spend your money elsewhere.

The best pub in Maastricht that actually feels like a pub. The atmosphere is unmatched, you can sit at the bar or in booths if you are with friends. A pool table is also available for just 1€ per game. Drinks are also reasonably priced with some food options as well. Absolutely amazing, always worth a visit with friends.

Trying to be an Irish pub, but not quite making it

Awful, walked in and nobody there to serve us, when he came to the counter, he never asked what we wanted, said hello, looked at us as if we were nothing so we left…

Just rubbish to be honest, staff were slow allowed kids to rule the bar screaming and mess with customers, back home this would not be accepted. Peters pub much better run and a better pint..

Its a nice irish pub and it has a good happy hour time, you can do lots of activites like pool, darts and boardgames, but its small and hard to find a place to sit on busier days

Typical Dutch foosball table and a not-so-new pool table. Delicious beers and also apple curd. I paid less attention to the music, but it must be good because it wasn't distracting.

The cheapest beer in Maastricht (by far)! Happy hour is 19:00 to 21:00 every day, where it's €5.50 for 500ml of Grolsch, Guinness, Kilkenny or Stowford Press. Outside happy hour it's €6.60. Visited twice whilst in Maastricht. Both times were good. Barman (possibly the owner) was friendly and polite, as were all the other customers. Most of the other customers were likely students, with all customers speaking English (despite not being native speakers). Toilet also features a puke bowl, for when you've drunk too much! Accepts credit cards.

If an Irish pub means there are only German people and German music, yes, than this is an Irish pub. Nothing Irish at this place except the beer. Beer was good I guess.

The long-standing Shamrock does appeal to a large audience. Of all kinds or types. Few can imitate that. Oh well, the sound with possibly 20 or more years old Bose speakers could be much better, but no one seems to be bothered by that.

nice pub although in the weekends it gets super crowded and you may struggle to find somewhere to sit. Nice vibe with friendly staff and you can play table football for 50 cents per match and pool for 1€ per match. Music is good usually and there are decent drinks and shots available. Only issue is that drinks are overpriced, as is usual for bars in Maastricht. Still, a lovely pub definitely worth visiting in a less busy day

Great bar. Fair prices and a very lovely bartender. The wheel of fortune is a great idea and the fact that it's only 1 euro to spin it is amazing. I spun it and had to go and collect all the glasses in the bar, in return the bartender gave me a shot of Jager. Very fun

Stunning venue with great hospitality and care. It’s traditional to go there when in Maastricht for their specialty cocktail, the Kofi Anan. If this delicacy was not enough, the secret menu variant, the Ban Ki Moon is a titan of a drink.

You cannot deny the free spirited Irish of maastricht that is shamrock as an expat it reminds me of home you know goofy pool table and a slack of darts, bartender is always accommodating and on point, also with a sense of humor a must in every Irish bar

Goeie Irish Pub. Groot assortiment aan bier en andere dranken. Personeel heeft ook veel kennis van de aanwezige dranken! Goeie sfeer met een rock/metal afspeellijst. Er is ook een pooltafel aanwezig. Pub ligt buiten het uitgaans-epicentrum, dus de sfeer is erg relaxed. Volgens mij is dit ook de Pub waar Debby en haar privé detective uit Limburgse Leugens (Weet z'n naam even niet meer) afspraken toen ze vermoedde dat Marco vreemd ging.
