I honestly don't understand where all the good reviews come from. My experience at Shinzo was truly terrible. The food came extremely slowly, and what finally arrived was often cold. The sushi tasted completely unfresh and reminded me more of cheap Albert Heijn sushi than restaurant quality. The selection is limited, and the flavors are downright awful. Some dishes were so unpleasant that we didn't even eat them and simply left them. The atmosphere didn't help either: it felt more like a cold, uninviting place than a restaurant where you can relax and eat. We definitely won't be returning. A waste of time and money.

Fantastic! I discovered it by chance years ago when I still lived nearby. Now I happily drive an hour and fifteen minutes with my kids (who thankfully also love sushi🎉). It's an all-you-can-eat concept, but aside from the leaf, you don't notice it. The quality of all the dishes, without exception, is top-notch. Fresh, fantastic flavor combinations, and bite-sized pieces of sushi, and everything else is there for those who aren't so keen on sushi.

In our opinion, it's the best sushi place in Tilburg. We come here every year for my daughter's birthday and we absolutely love it. It's super cozy, has plenty of space, good and friendly service, and the food is absolutely delicious.

My husband and I dined here last night. We had mentioned that I need to eat gluten-free, and they were very accommodating. I was given a separate menu with my food restrictions crossed out so I couldn't go wrong. I also received a rainbow roll as a bonus because they believe there's not enough choice otherwise. It's really well organized, the staff is very helpful, and friendly. Highly recommended if you need to eat gluten-free.

One of Tilburg's better sushi restaurants, located in the charming Piushaven. It's a shame this isn't reflected in the downstairs section of the restaurant. Sitting on the first floor is much more inviting. Downstairs is completely uninviting; it's clear that little attention has been given to this area. The food is really good and freshly made. The staff is extremely friendly, fast, and attentive.

I recently ate here for the second time, and this time we were able to sit upstairs. I prefer this to downstairs. It's a super nice atmosphere and spacious with a high ceiling, so you're not easily bothered by the noise around you, even when it's busy! It's truly wonderful. And most importantly, of course: the sushi. Absolutely fantastic! It's very well-seasoned. I personally think it's the best in Tilburg and I definitely recommend it. The other dishes are also excellent, but the sushi really sets it apart from other places in the area. The service is also fast and efficient. We'll definitely be back!

You'll receive a warm welcome, there's a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and very hospitable. You can taste that they use fresh ingredients; the seaweed is deliciously crunchy, the sashimi is wonderfully fresh, and the portions are generous. We appreciate that ordering is done the old-fashioned way, using a form instead of a tablet. It's also more hygienic. They even have delicious non-alcoholic cocktails and several non-alcoholic wines on the menu! But of course, there's plenty of choice with alcohol. I also ate here during my pregnancy; they have a special menu if you're interested, which I personally really appreciated. All in all, a fantastic restaurant with delicious sushi; I definitely recommend it!

We’ve been coming here for years and wanted to leave a review as a thank you. This is pretty much the only sushi place we’ve found that customizes the entire menu for you. One of us is vegan and can still choose from around 50 different dishes because of this. No other place in Tilburg (unless it's fully vegan of course) offers this many options for vegans, which is amazing! The staff are lovely, caring people who really value their customers. Upstairs you can sit in a cozy space with a warm atmosphere. And last but not least the food is insanely good!

We went here for the first time, following good advice from Google. We're from Kaatsheuvel and ended up in Tilburg. At SHINZO! The food was great, the welcome was fantastic, and even when it got a bit dark and the menu became harder for us to read, we were given reading glasses and a table lamp. The sushi, tempura, etc. were fantastic. Only the Temaki (nori cones) were not crispy. The service was nothing but praise. As for the ambiance, it's a shame that you're on the first floor (where the kitchen is) while the ground floor is empty. The lighting isn't ideal for reading the menu and entering your choices on paper; we frequently had to use our phone to illuminate it. But once again, the food is delicious and the service is top-notch.

Yesterday I ate at SHINZO for the first time. The atmosphere and appearance of the place is neat and clean. The staff is polite. However, the food leaves something to be desired. The portions are very small and the food tastes too salty across the board. In addition, one of our portions was burnt. I am glad I tried it, but probably won't go there again.

Sushi is of good quality for AYCE. Side dishes were also tasty. Service was excellent. Cheerful and approachable staff. Atmosphere is OK, when it is busy it is noisy but you sit with a reasonable distance from each other. Food comes quickly and ordering is via the paper order form where you have to tally. Staff comes by often and picks it up quickly. 4 to 5 rounds is enough although it seems little at first. Just don't stuff yourself and taste the different dishes where you have a wide choice.

Delicious food! Especially the vegan sushi: really recommended... the service was very nice and helpful. For us it had been a while since we were at Shinzo, it felt like old times again. The good classics have remained on the menu with very good vega(n) additions. And also for the meat and fish eaters delicious dishes (I understood from my company).

Although the service was very nice and did its best, this was for me one of the most unpleasant dinners I have ever experienced so far. The sushi was filled with too much rice. This made you feel full very quickly. The tempura was very greasy. The dessert with ice cream is unfortunately only 1 pp, but the other desserts were very tasty. The restaurant has two parts: downstairs and upstairs. Upstairs it still seems quite cozy and pleasant, but downstairs you get the feeling that you are in a cheap nail salon. Ordering is done via a very primitive system, namely writing down on paper every time and handing it in. You are allowed a maximum of 5 per sheet, so you quickly need a new card and if the staff is not paying attention it can take a long time before your order is accepted. Fortunately, the staff was attentive and they were able to help us quickly. The tables are close together, so you sit next to strangers at a distance of 10 cm. In my opinion, this restaurant has a poor quality/price ratio compared to other all-in restaurants. Too bad, because there is really a lot of potential for such a restaurant in Tilburg. Unfortunately for me no more repetition. Despite everything, the staff was very nice and helpful.

Definitely worth a visit to eat all you can eat sushi in Tilburg. Based on previous reviews and impression photos decided to take a chance. The service is excellent. Compliments for the customer friendliness and open attitude of the staff. The food was good, lots of choice but I expected the fish to be fresher and the rice was a bit too sticky. Price-quality ratio was ok. Atmosphere is ok, could be better. Definitely worth repeating!

We had another fantastic evening at Shinzo. The quality of the varied range of delicacies was already beyond doubt. The personal attention and nice attention for the birthday boy made the evening complete. Even a photo session at the Piushaven was suggested and executed. We will definitely be back soon!

Wow, really wow! What an experience! Never before have we been received so kindly and warmly as here. The staff are incredibly attentive and pleasant, and the food is of absolute top quality. Not only was the sushi unsurpassable, but the side dishes – both cold and hot – were also delicious. The choice and variety were enormous, the service was lightning fast, and everything was perfect. In addition, the top floor is super cozy to sit. As we say in Belgium: chapeau! Keep it up! We will come back here without a doubt!
