What a ray of sunshine in always gloomy Tilburg. Here you can enjoy a wonderfully casual meal. The restaurant operates on an all-you-can-eat concept, but it doesn't feel like a massive food factory. The service is friendly and approachable.

We come here often, but unfortunately, yesterday things weren't well organized. It was busy, which is great for your business. But it is a real shame that the dishes really take a long time to arrive. We had one round in 45 minutes. The concept is for 2 hours. You leave still hungry after that. Fortunately, things went faster after the 45 minutes. Unfortunately, the drinks took a long time to arrive; we had to get the sugar for the coffee ourselves. Once again, the food is good, but the service was a bit slow.

Hot dishes were cold, 1 round per hour. If you are only allowed to sit for 2 hours, you still go home hungry, and that for 65 euros p.p. REALLY BAD. Never again, not recommended.

The sushi was super delicious, the staff very friendly, and the atmosphere inside cozy. With the beautiful location at the Pius Harbor, this is definitely highly recommended.

We were seated quite tucked away in a corner, and our food kept going to other tables, causing us to wait a long time. The food we received wasn't meant for us. After 1.5 hours, we had had 3 rounds, and luckily a waiter then realized where things were going wrong, because suddenly we received everything at once. Before that, we couldn't speak to anyone; the staff was busy and didn't even notice that our drinks had run out. A shame! I would have liked to drink a bit more than Spa Red from a bottle costing almost €10. (!) I heard later that there were a lot of new people working there; I understand that hospitality staff are hard to find, but oh well, we just had to make do. The food itself was delicious and the atmosphere was okay. Just a bitter aftertaste from the small number of rounds. For me, this was the last time at Sinzo.

This was one of our best sushi restaurants in Tilburg, depending on personal taste and preference, of course. Free sashimi is a nice offer. A point of criticism, and the reason we are now looking elsewhere, is that the last three times we had to wait a really long time for food and drinks, which somewhat spoiled the dining experience. Naturally, we understand that it can be busy and we are willing to wait, but the service intervals were really long. We also saw other people constantly looking back to see where their orders were. To avoid writing such a review after just one visit, we waited until after our third visit. It is a real shame, and perhaps they are understaffed; that is also possible. However, this does mean we are looking for another restaurant, which is a pity considering the food at Shinzo is really good.

We had a fantastic meal; the portions weren't excessively large, allowing you to try more. The quality was simply good. The best waitstaff service we have ever experienced in an all-you-can-eat setting. Very neat and clean.

The food was great! The building is also beautiful; for two people, you get a spacious table. The only downside was that we only managed to finish four rounds in 2.5 hours. This was due to long wait times and picking up the order slip late. The staff, however, were very polite and friendly!

We arrived quite late and stayed until the last moment and the service was so amazing until the end. The servers were friendly and chatting/laughing with us and I love that! I also love that it’s actually “all you can eat”. There is no limit to what you can order, which actually makes me feel like I can try out things and not waste a dish/round. As a cherry on top they gave us the ice cream to go as we had to run for the train. Thanks guys! We’ll be back if we’re in Tilburg again!

What a wonderful experience this was at the Piushaven. The food was truly fantastic and everything looked incredibly fresh on the plates. The presentation of the sushi was beautiful; I particularly liked the small hand roll in the black holder. It was a delight to eat here. I will certainly be back soon for another round.

Yesterday we had a fun team-building event on the water in the Piushaven. Shinzo arrived right on time and brought the most delicious sushi with all the trimmings. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommended.

Payed another visit to Shinzo. It was just like always: delicious food, good service, and a pleasant buzz.

I have the feeling that the quality has declined slightly, and the dishes didn't arrive in the right order, meaning that at the end you had to eat another 10 identical bites while wondering where they were, and then had to eat them against your will even though you were finally finished, and that is a shame.

Normally very satisfied, but this time the wasabi was so dry that it completely fell apart and was totally tasteless. We had to wait longer for our drinks than for the sushi, the taste of which was very mediocre. The music was far too sad for a restaurant.

We went here for dinner for my birthday, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a huge disappointment. During the second course, someone in our party found maggots in her edamame bean. That alone is unacceptable, but the way it was handled afterwards was perhaps even worse. It was assumed that we would simply continue ordering, whereas our appetite vanished immediately. We indicated that we only wanted to pay for the drinks and leave, but after a long discussion, it turned out that this was "really not possible," and we were forced to pay the full bill anyway, even though we were only on the second course. In the end, out of sheer frustration, we only paid for the individual dishes we actually ate, which amounted to about €80. We didn't feel like arguing any further and just paid the bill. The service was downright rude, and the situation was not taken seriously at all. According to the staff, the problem lay with the freezing process, but taking responsibility towards your guests is part of the hospitality industry. Never again for us. And absolutely do not order edamame here.

We visited Shinzo for the second time; fortunately, we were seated upstairs because the atmosphere in the restaurant downstairs isn't really our thing. The staff spoke English, which isn't a problem in itself, but it isn't pleasant. The food was fine, but could really be better. Long wait times, forgotten dishes. I've been to many all-you-can-eat restaurants and now, for the first time, I'm giving 5 stars everywhere. The food was really good. Fresh. Service was good, and speedy too. The restrooms were clean. Very nice. Keep it up! Not to be searching for anything, but it's extra noticeable when everything is this good... the menus are used a lot and aren't as fresh anymore. It's a small investment and fits perfectly into the overall hygiene strategy of replacing them weekly.

We came for dinner on Saturday, Valentine's Day and Carnival, with a large group. We received such wonderful service. One of our guests had celiac disease, and we had informed them in advance, and it went so smoothly! They explained it very clearly and even made a little something extra so the person in question could enjoy their meal too. We did notice it was busy, and sometimes it took a while for our drinks to arrive, but that wasn't a problem for us at all. We were very comfortable and had a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere. Another wonderful evening! The kids got to make their own round of sushi, and our Italian waiter roasted marshmallows, which were brought to the table with fireworks. The sushi tasted amazing again! Always friendly staff, and a fun evening guaranteed! Thanks!

I recently ate at Shinzo Tilburg. The food was fine: just good, but not exceptional. Certainly not bad, but nothing outstanding either. The downstairs decor could use a refresh; it looks a bit dated. Furthermore, the order process and the food delivery sometimes took a long time. As for the staff, the experience was mixed. Some staff members only spoke English and were very strict about their role of serving and delivering, making the service somewhat impersonal. On the other hand, there was one woman with dark hair who spoke Dutch and seemed to have a managerial role. She also took drink orders and was truly excellent: attentive, hard-working, friendly, and professional. We should have more staff like this. All in all, a reasonable experience, with room for improvement in terms of service and appearance.

I honestly don't understand where all the good reviews come from. My experience at Shinzo was truly terrible. The food came extremely slowly, and what finally arrived was often cold. The sushi tasted completely unfresh and reminded me more of cheap Albert Heijn sushi than restaurant quality. The selection is limited, and the flavors are downright awful. Some dishes were so unpleasant that we didn't even eat them and simply left them. The atmosphere didn't help either: it felt more like a cold, uninviting place than a restaurant where you can relax and eat. We definitely won't be returning. A waste of time and money.

Fantastic! I discovered it by chance years ago when I still lived nearby. Now I happily drive an hour and fifteen minutes with my kids (who thankfully also love sushi🎉). It's an all-you-can-eat concept, but aside from the leaf, you don't notice it. The quality of all the dishes, without exception, is top-notch. Fresh, fantastic flavor combinations, and bite-sized pieces of sushi, and everything else is there for those who aren't so keen on sushi.

In our opinion, it's the best sushi place in Tilburg. We come here every year for my daughter's birthday and we absolutely love it. It's super cozy, has plenty of space, good and friendly service, and the food is absolutely delicious.

My husband and I dined here last night. We had mentioned that I need to eat gluten-free, and they were very accommodating. I was given a separate menu with my food restrictions crossed out so I couldn't go wrong. I also received a rainbow roll as a bonus because they believe there's not enough choice otherwise. It's really well organized, the staff is very helpful, and friendly. Highly recommended if you need to eat gluten-free.

One of Tilburg's better sushi restaurants, located in the charming Piushaven. It's a shame this isn't reflected in the downstairs section of the restaurant. Sitting on the first floor is much more inviting. Downstairs is completely uninviting; it's clear that little attention has been given to this area. The food is really good and freshly made. The staff is extremely friendly, fast, and attentive.

I recently ate here for the second time, and this time we were able to sit upstairs. I prefer this to downstairs. It's a super nice atmosphere and spacious with a high ceiling, so you're not easily bothered by the noise around you, even when it's busy! It's truly wonderful. And most importantly, of course: the sushi. Absolutely fantastic! It's very well-seasoned. I personally think it's the best in Tilburg and I definitely recommend it. The other dishes are also excellent, but the sushi really sets it apart from other places in the area. The service is also fast and efficient. We'll definitely be back!

You'll receive a warm welcome, there's a pleasant atmosphere, and the staff is friendly and very hospitable. You can taste that they use fresh ingredients; the seaweed is deliciously crunchy, the sashimi is wonderfully fresh, and the portions are generous. We appreciate that ordering is done the old-fashioned way, using a form instead of a tablet. It's also more hygienic. They even have delicious non-alcoholic cocktails and several non-alcoholic wines on the menu! But of course, there's plenty of choice with alcohol. I also ate here during my pregnancy; they have a special menu if you're interested, which I personally really appreciated. All in all, a fantastic restaurant with delicious sushi; I definitely recommend it!

We’ve been coming here for years and wanted to leave a review as a thank you. This is pretty much the only sushi place we’ve found that customizes the entire menu for you. One of us is vegan and can still choose from around 50 different dishes because of this. No other place in Tilburg (unless it's fully vegan of course) offers this many options for vegans, which is amazing! The staff are lovely, caring people who really value their customers. Upstairs you can sit in a cozy space with a warm atmosphere. And last but not least the food is insanely good!

We went here for the first time, following good advice from Google. We're from Kaatsheuvel and ended up in Tilburg. At SHINZO! The food was great, the welcome was fantastic, and even when it got a bit dark and the menu became harder for us to read, we were given reading glasses and a table lamp. The sushi, tempura, etc. were fantastic. Only the Temaki (nori cones) were not crispy. The service was nothing but praise. As for the ambiance, it's a shame that you're on the first floor (where the kitchen is) while the ground floor is empty. The lighting isn't ideal for reading the menu and entering your choices on paper; we frequently had to use our phone to illuminate it. But once again, the food is delicious and the service is top-notch.
