SHOTS Hilversum in Centrum

Terrible place. I had to forcibly leave the club because the DJ “Rahim” pushed me hard by the neck through the club because I was apparently in the wrong place. DO NOT GO AS A WOMAN!

The people working there are great! Thay realy know how to make it a fun night out. There is a upstairs what feels more like a late night bar. Downstairs feels like a living room party. The music can have some improvements, depending on your taste

TL/DR wrote with a sharpie on a glass at the venue while drunk and got physically assaulted by the manager because of it. I have visited the venue for the first time last night with a couple of friends. I honestly have no problem with the venue, I think is a fine place and you should go there, but unfortunately I've had a mild altercation with the manager, which doesn't make me feel like I want to walk into this place ever again. We had a sharpie and made the unfortunate drunk decision of writing on the shots menu that is displayed on one of the walls of the venue. During closing time, we've been approached by security, which was, for good reason, upset about the matter. Since we were in the wrong, I apologized and asked some of the staff for a bucket and a sponge so I could clean the mess. I want to make clear that during all of this the security was professional, and even though they were upset about the situation, they did not put hands on us, nor me and my friends did escalate the situation physically. We did something stupid while drunk and we wanted to fix the matter in an amicable way. Unfortunately the venue manager was livid about the situation, and thought he had the right to physically assault me and my friends (I got kicked in the back while cleaning the sharpie, and my friend got choked and slapped). The security actually had to step in and push the manager away from us cause he literally assaulted us. The rest of the staff was actually in shock about the situation. After a few minutes they asked me to stop cleaning since they had to close the bar, and charged us 1000€ for the damage. On my way out of the venue I've been also hollered with some racial slurs from a staff member (you can see more reviews on here talking about the same issue) Overall it was a very humiliating night, there is no shadow of a doubt that the venue had the right to charge us and ask us to clean the sharpie. They were right to be angry, and we apologized and tried to fix it verbally. I do not believe that such situation gives somebody the right to physically assault someone else though.

In addition to exorbitant amounts for drinks and wardrobe, you have to pay for the toilet. How sad

Last Saturday my sister and I celebrated our birthday together at shots (above). Everyone had a great time and everything was well organised! Super sweet owner and nice people who stood behind the bar with us! Definitely recommended for parties

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Shots Hilversum that I feel compelled to share. I visited the pub last night to enjoy the evening on my own. I wasn’t interacting with anyone or participating in the dancing; I was simply enjoying my drinks and the music. However, when I attempted to order my final drink, the bartender refused, claiming that I’d had enough. I’m an adult in my late 30s, fully capable of knowing my own limits, and I found it highly inappropriate for the bartender to make that decision for me. When I tried to discuss this, the situation escalated unnecessarily. The bartender called the bouncer, who proceeded to push me out of the pub by locking my hands as if I had committed a serious offense. This was not only rude but completely unethical. Being treated with respect is crucial, and what happened was far from it. If I were the owner of this pub, I would seriously fire such security staff who try to manhandle customers even without taking an effort to discuss or handle it politely. I strongly urge you to review the footage of the incident. If there was any wrongdoing on my part, I am more than willing to apologize. However, if the footage supports my account, I expect a formal apology from your security team. If this issue is not addressed, I will not be returning again. I’m more than happy to come if you’re ready to discuss. I’ve spent as a single person about 56 Euros. So I really demand an explanation for this.

The effects at the entrance are very racist and ill-mannered towards foreigners especially the one who is bald, he wanted to check my ID and I have a Turkish identity so when I showed him, he just didn't wanna let me in for no reason he was also quite rude as I was not speaking Dutch. I would like to say that it's a shame we are in 2024 and we still have to face racism even just to entertain ourselves in a simple club. Shame on you people!! I was grabbed for no reason and thrown out, a new drink of 8 euros was taken, I was asked if I could at least drink it, but no, I was pushed towards the exit and called 'knker leijer'. Very sporty and customer-friendly business, definitely recommend this😁😘

Unfortunately there is quite rude and racist security at entrance. Many people live here in the 21st century. It's ridiculous to expect everyone to speak Dutch. This was the first time I encountered similar treatment in the Netherlands. If you don't want to deal with nonsense, don't come here.

Well everything was really great, nice drinks too. But the DJ, I don't know what he/she used, but a different song every 10 seconds. Shame

In terms of security, this is an example of how unprofessional it can become. They look for ways to escalate situations, rather than de-escalate and ensure the safety of their guests. For example, they do not hesitate to attack someone in the back or spit on people without any evaluation of the situation and without any form of professionalism or sense of decency. They have no problem challenging people to fight outside the camera images if there are 5 of them.

Worst club in the history of clubs, we were there at new years, people there are so weird, shots doesn’t have alcohol or they manipulated it somehow, also i paid twice for an event at new years because there was spme kind of mistake in the system and stayed there for 1 hour, i had no idea this is an LGBT club only. Worst dj ever!!!!

Wij hebben afgelopen donderdag ons bruiloftsfeest mogen vieren in SHOTS Hilversum. Wat een fantastisch leuke plek om met een mooi gezelschap te kunnen praten en dansen. Personeel, aankleding, muziek en de rest....allemaal een tien met een griffel! Thanks allemaal! Ook op de vrijdagen en zaterdagen een leuke stap-plek trouwens (ik spreek uit ervaring)!

Ik was voor vandaag nog nooit in Hilversum geweest. Aan het einde van de avond had ik het idee dat ik er al jaren kwam. Top sfeer, top personeel

Gisteravond een fantastisch bruiloftsfeest hier mogen meemaken. Barpersoneel weet al snel wat ze voor je moeten inschenken. Een knikje was al genoeg 😉 Heerlijke muziek die zelfs mij in beweging bracht.

I hired out the upper floor and threw my birthday party here and the service was amazing, the crew is insanely welcoming and fun. They were very easygoing and did genuinely everything in their power to make it a fun party for me and my friends. All of my friends had a very good time as well as myself. Definitely recommend going here and/or renting out the club for a private party!

Prima plek om even te vergeten dat je in Hilversum uitgaat. Shotjes worden snel geserveerd en de muziek is OK. Er ligt soms wel wat glas op de vloer maar als je schoenen aan hebt met zolen valt dit bijna niet op

Shots is op zich een leuke club. Over het algemeen prima muziek met een DJ die een beetje questionable draait. Echter gebeurde er voor het eerst in tijden een situatie waarbij ik 3 shotjes vroeg en ik er 4 moest afrekenen. Mijn fout waarbij ik er van uit ging dat het pin apparaat wel goed stond en ik een shotje te veel afrekende. Ik heb hierbij de barvrouw aangesproken, waarbij ze zij dat ik niet bijdehand moest doen en dat ik echt om 4 shotjes vroeg. Hele jammere ervaring, maar aangezien ik twee keer met mevrouw wilde praten, ik dit wel wilde delen. Accepteer de uitkomst, want ik heb ook fout gezeten, maar wil gewoon kunnen praten over zoiets. Verder oprecht leuke club. Gezellige mensen en prima sfeer. Ik geef nu een matige rating vanwege mijn afgelopen ervaring.

Echt super, helemaal naar de getver gegaan daar dus dan is het een goeie zaak haha

Leuk voor jongeren. De verdieping boven kan je zitten. Veel mensen gaan hier heen als de andere kroegen sluiten.

Topavond meemaken....dan moet je naar SHOTS. Goede muziek, leuke sfeer.

Zojuist voor het eerst bij de shots geweest. Tussen de rondjes bier door werd het toch wel tijd voor ook een paar shotjes. De barman(Volgens mij heetehij aaiken), wist na mijn vage aanwijzingen goede shotjes klaar te maken die voor de hele groep naar smaak waren. Topbarman!!! Wel jammer dat de heren wc dichtgetimmert is.

Ik heb onlangs mijn verjaardag hier gevierd! Ontzettend gezellig personeel die ons super hebben verzorgd met drinken en hapjes, daarnaast prettig in het contact! Allen bedankt!! :D

Leuke bar met leuk personeel, over de muziek ben ik niet echt heel enthosiat maar er komen vaak genoeg leuke nummers voorbij om nog te kunnen dansen

Niet te druk, veel aardigere mensen en prima muziek
