The hummus is amazing, and the falafels are by far the best I've had - so crisp and flavorful. The owner is also great - he is friendly and we chatted a while. He has the excellent mission to make healthy food cheap, delicious, quick, and accessible so that we can move away from junk food when we're in a hurry. I highly recommend at all levels!

Best falafel I've had in NL. hands down

Went for a quick bite at SHOUQ by myself. It was 30°C outside so they recommended the SHOUQ hummus menu with the fresh salad sides. It was exactly what I needed in that moment. It was the most nourishing dinner ever and the hummus was outstanding. I dare to say it was the best homemade hummus I've ever had. It was warm and they didn't hold back on Tahini. The portion size was very big, so the leftovers came home with me for breakfast. Oat cappucino was great too. Staff was very friendly and I could use the bathroom in the back of the restaurant. 100% recommended and I will look no further next time I'm in Zeist.

You know that feeling, when everything is so delicious that you order way too much? That's Shouq. The people are nice and helpful, the food is delicious and fresh with plenty of greens and, of course, superior hummus. You can take home whatever you don't finish if you want.

Best sweet potato fries in the Northern hemisphere, possible Southern hemisphere too but I haven't been there yet. The sabich is also phenomenal. And the dill dip with the fries... I hope and pray they relocate/expand to Utrecht so I can come here more often 🙏🏻

The food doesn't taste like traditional Middle Eastern food at all. The owner is Israeli, so that makes sense.

The food was delicious! We shared both menus, which were very tasty (especially the baba ganoush!), and the falafel was also excellent. There are several seating options, both inside and outside.

The food is amazing, Jan Beuving was absolutely right in his lecture that you can eat the tastiest falafel in Zeist at SHOUQ!!

It's so great to be able to go to such a lovely place in Zeist! A really nice, relaxed atmosphere and delicious, fresh food. I love coming here with guests because I know the staff will be friendly to my child, the food is fantastic and great for sharing, and the price is also very reasonable (if you can't finish it all, you can also take it home) :)

We have ordered here a few times now and are very satisfied! Super tasty food, always on time, fresh, vegetarian, good portions (we are big eaters so that is very nice). We actually always order the menu, that is highly recommended. The sweet potato fries are also very tasty. For a takeaway meal also relatively healthy. What more could you want :) we will definitely come back here.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Everything but everything was far from authentic Lebanese. It seemed like everything from a jar. And then waiting for the food for 45 minutes. How you get five stars here every time is a mystery to me, we often eat Lebanese. Of all the meals this was really very very disappointing. It was a disgrace. We left almost everything.

Wow! By far the best Mediterranean food I ate in The Netherlands..

The falafel is DELICIOUS. They load it with everything, it's neither dry nor too saucy, the balance is perfect. And the sweet potato fries are super tasty. They are crispy on the outside, soft inside. Every time we have been there they've matched the quality.

We visited this establishment for the first time today and highly enjoyed their Sabich. Service and atmosphere were also lovely.

Best falafel and hummus in town and that I ever ate. The lunch menu falafel hummus is very filling, me and my girlfriend shared 1 and had enough. We even got an extra pitta. Nice young staff, it feels like there is a good working atmosphere here, a community. Occasionally the guitar is picked up by staff and regular guests. Really nice and we were helped very friendly and well. I went home with an extra bowl of hummus. See you soon!

Have ordered and picked up delicious pitas with falafel, hummus and sabich many times at Shouq! The fresh sweet potato fries are also very tasty. It leaves you wanting more because everything is freshly prepared and the service is very friendly and fast. We are very happy with this place in Zeist! And there are also a few tables where you can have a nice meal if you want.

The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the food. Their hummus is simply amazing – creamy, flavorful, and probably the best I’ve had in a long time. Shouq also offers an excellent variety of Middle Eastern salads, each bursting with fresh ingredients and authentic flavors. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. If you're looking for a place that combines a great vibe with outstanding Middle Eastern cuisine, Shouq is definitely worth a visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and can't wait to go back

We have had takeaway a few times now and the food is really delicious and the staff very friendly. The menu for 2 people is a lot (our children also eat a bit of it) and well priced. We will definitely come back more often!

I just discovered this place and had lunch there twice now and everything was super tasty and fresh. The second time we had the Shouq menu for 2 people, very extensive. The hummus is the tastiest I have ever had. You really feel like you are in the Middle East. The owner is also a super nice guy.

Delicious food several times! Very friendly staff, I think all food is home made too. Recommended for anyone who likes tasty, nutritious food.

Small restaurant with three tables and a bar type seating. Open kitchen, young staff. We had the 'taste it all' for 17.50 pp. Nice diversity of middle eastern tastes. The hummus was soft and tasty. Falafels could be more for two person, but with good crunch. Bit too much mint for my taste. Salads were nice, enjoyed the beetroot salad most. The Baba ganoush was too smokey for me, thick and on the fatty end. Not my taste, but my partner liked it. Olives were not fresh, but pickled veggies had a good bite. For drinks you have a variety of non alcoholic options. Clients come to pick up their orders in the same room, which is a bit messy and gives the place not really a restaurant type of atmosphere. Best point is that all is veggy!

I would recommend this place with my whole heart. I had their pita falafel and almost wept with joy. I've spent most of my life in the middle east and this tasted just like the ones we get there - something I've been searching for a long long time now!
