Snackbar "De Pepermolen" in Wijk 00 Zuidlaren

Had a delicious meal. Friendly service. And a reasonable price. I'd say: Just go for it!!!

It wasn't even worth a star! The man called the woman a fatso, not child-friendly at all! Food was thrown onto our table, fries just slid right past it!! And you have to pay for this while not being welcomed hospitably, and then to top it all off, yelling at a woman because she's a bit fuller🤷🏼‍♂️ this place ruined our dinner. And it's sad that such an older man speaks to a younger lady/mother like that and threatens her in front of children because we want to leave bad reviews. Well, I hope this man feels tough, just like he kept saying! Let's hope this place goes bankrupt soon👎🏼

Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience at this snack bar. Upon entering, we politely asked if we could sit inside to eat with four adults and two toddlers. According to the employee, that was no problem. When it started raining, we therefore moved from the terrace inside. From that moment on, we did not feel welcome at all. The staff constantly gave us unfriendly looks. During a normal conversation, the cashier indicated that, in his opinion, we were too loud and spoke to us in a very disrespectful manner. When we wanted to leave, an employee even called one of us a "fatso." We find that absolutely unacceptable. I then calmly spoke with the employee in question to explain that this was not polite. Unfortunately, he reacted by shouting and behaving disrespectfully again. We understand that it can be busy, but treating customers this way is unacceptable. That is why I am leaving this review. For us, this was a very unpleasant experience, and we will not be returning here.

The best snack bar in Zuidlaren with the best staff, very customer-oriented. I really love coming here to have a nice chat, and the service is perfect. This snack bar must never disappear from Zuidlaren. Greetings, Sylvian

Picked up. They are very helpful regarding gluten-free options. They have that well organized. Had a delicious meal, good products.

The food is top-notch. Many times better than the neighbor across the street... we don't go there anymore, since the quality there has simply gone downhill fast over the past few years.

Simply good. Friendly people and good snacks

Soft serve ice cream was of mediocre quality. Not creamy like usual.

It was super busy! Waited 45 minutes, but they also indicated that it could take a long time! The fries were a bit soggy (ras fries) But otherwise everything was great! Good prices too

Super good food, super sweet people

Great cafeteria! Clean, delicious products, friendly staff.

Great cafeteria! Been coming here for years

Extensive selection. Great food, large portions. Tasted good.

My wife and I were there today for lunch and because we weren't that hungry we went in and ordered a spring roll (Lumipa), a Hamburger Royal and two cans of Heiniken and when I was paying I saw that they also had soft ice cream so I got a large soft ice cream and all of that cost 14.70€ incredibly cheap I can only recommend it

We went during a busy time, and the staff were still very welcoming and friendly. The gehaktbal was very moist and flavourful, with a hint of kruiden flavour that was not overpowering. The fries were a large portion, perfectly crispy, again not too much, and the sauce was plentiful - more than enough to last the fries, and I am a generous dipper. It came in nice ceramic dishes also. The cashier cracked a joke as we left with 2 small soft serve isjes. Perfect experience

Delicious fries and friendly staff

It tasted great. It's not fancy, but it's run by a friendly team. Reasonable prices, too.

Just like old times, when I used to live nearby, I had an eierbal and fries here again. The food and the atmosphere are just as good as before. Only after ordering did I realize they still have those fantastic burgers. We'll do that again next time.

Very good food. If we are in the area again we will definitely go back there.

Nice authentic cafeteria with friendly employees and good food, and the peanut sauce is 10+

A really good experience. It was a bit cramped inside, though, and there weren't really any comfortable seats. So we took our food with us. The fries were well-fried and a perfect frikandel. I also really enjoyed the ketchup. The food was delicious, but it was simply too small to sit inside when it's so busy. The man taking our order was a bit pushy, but that might have been because it was so busy. All in all, definitely recommended!

Snack bar de Pepermolen was the best kept secret of Zuidlaren. Not anymore now. Everyone has discovered this local snack paradise. And rightly so! Every now and then I go “weird” at another snack bar in the very nearby area. But I immediately regret this! The tastiest croquettes, frikandellen and other snacks can only be found at the Pepermolen. Moreover, they have an extensive and interesting collection of literature. So waiting a while is certainly not a punishment!

Excellent food, large portions and friendly staff.

Best snack bar in Zuidlaren. Good quality, large portions and not expensive. When ordering by telephone, the collection time is always correct.

Tasty, fast and large portions.

Best snack bar in Zuidlaren. Staff are very friendly, portions are good and the food fantastic!

Always good food. Well priced. Very good service!

Best snack bar in Zuidlaren and surrounding areas! Really large portions, good prices and always very nice staff. Customization no problem. Small but nice. I come there every week, when they are closed I sometimes move to another one (across the street for example) but that always disappoints.

Best fries in Zuidlaren, best service in Zuidlaren, nice staff and a very good atmosphere. Definitely come here more often to eat out.

Super good food for a very fair price and fast

While passing through, I got some fries, mayo and a croquette here. Was great. Compliments! Well cooked crispy fries. Tasty croquette. Large portion, so large that I had to resist eating it. So great value for money!

Don't pay attention to the reviews of vinegar whiners who give 1 star because their fries (most of the bad reviews undoubtedly come from people who call them "fries") are not fried to exactly the right doneness. This is absolutely the best snack bar in Zuidlaren and surrounding areas > friendly staff, large portions (especially compared to local competition) and delicious food. When ordering by telephone, the indicated time is not always met. This is not the result of laziness on the part of the owners/employees, but due to the enormous demand for quality. Go somewhere else with your semi-fried fries where no fries should come into contact with the sauce. Do you know why the sauce and the fries touch each other? Because they actually serve good portions of fries and sauce here! * I am only a customer of this snack bar, no other interests at all. After reading a number of overly negative reviews from professional demonstrators, I couldn't resist correcting a few things. Moiiiiii

Bit of a sad seller. Order a chicken burger, get a hamburger. Maybe tell them a bit too nicely that a mistake may have been made and tell them that I ordered a chicken burger but was given a burger. He then replied that he was sure I had ordered a hamburger. Excuse me (?!). Besides the fact that I had to make do with the wrong hamburger, it was also simply tasteless 🥲. Furthermore, too much of the fries were in the sauce, making it soggy, limp and lukewarm. Frikandel special was tasty.

You guys, whenever you ask for soft-fried fries, you get extra-hard fries. Just ruined half of my fries!!

For the 3rd time the fries were fried too hard, I asked for extra soft fried... The people are super nice there and the peanut sauce is delicious. Too bad that almost 3 full containers of fries are thrown away 😔

Good atmosphere. Everyone has their own job and the food is always good.

Delicious food. The fries were deliciously fried and served very neatly on a beautiful plate, many snack bars can follow this example. Friendly staff who work well together. Worth repeating.

Best fries in Zuidlaren. Hot meat fries are my favorite. 🤩 Keep baking like this. I enjoy getting my snacks once a week.

Always excellent quality for an appropriate price. A thing to recommend.

Super snack bar. Good quality for a great price!

Fries/fries and a Max(raspatat) some snacks and milkshakes. Picked up. Super. Good service, friendly and delicious food. Top.

Super tasty fries and cheese soufflé. It couldn't be better.

The best fries in Zuidlaren and good portions. Value for your money.

We were here at the Zuidlaardermarkt, the stalls were very busy to get some food, but you didn't have to wait long at this snack bar. Although it was also quite busy here.

A small but nice snack bar. We ate here today with the extended family. The frikandels were very tasty and the Juppieburger Royal wan was also very good.

Delicious fries. Nice and crispy. Heartworking.

Had a nice lunch on the way to our holiday address

Usually the tastiest fries in Zuidlaren! You will always receive friendly help.

The egg ball was sour, but above all tasteless. The people were very friendly!

The snacks we ordered were not really tasty. The frikandel special was small, with little sauce and onion. The bami disk was a bit bland, but it did have a well-baked crust. Furthermore, the egg ball also had a very bad taste, little curry or fenugreek to be seen.

Eindelijk weer eens krokante patat.

Lekkere frites, vriendelijke mensen. Ruim voldoende trouwens ;)

Goede service en behulpzaam personeel.

Een patatje voor 2 euro, een zeer vriendelijke bediening en heerlijk krokante en een zeer ruime portie. Perfect!

Goede friet, goed doorgebakken. Vriendelijk personeel.

Een heel goede snackbar. Personeel is vriendelijk.
