It's a small snack bar, nothing more and nothing less. The food was good and affordable, and the service was very friendly.

After the meal, I had a weird musty aftertaste that lasted for hours, probably old grease. I won't be coming back.

Ugh, so bad! The wrap is truly pathetic. The fries taste bad, made of old oil. No response whatsoever after complaining. Used to be a top-notch place. Now a disaster 3 times. Never again!!

We ate on the premises; the staff was uninterested and couldn't even manage a "bon appétit." Part of the order was delivered to another table, or we were told to pick out who had what ourselves. The burger was tasty but was not served at the same time as the fries, so the burger was finished by the time the fries arrived. The staff also didn't think it was necessary to bring cutlery. It has become a worthless place and I certainly won't be coming back.

Best snack bar in Zuidlaren and the surrounding area. Delicious soft serve ice cream is also available. Take a seat on the lovely terrace and enjoy a good old-fashioned plate of fries with a delicious topping. Parking is never a problem either. It is a tradition within our family to go out for a lovely meal at De Pieper upon returning home after the summer holidays. That says it all.

Unfortunately, the shop across the street was closed. Despite all the previous disappointments, I went to the checkout anyway. I should have known better...... Two young guys were working in the shop, and it looked like both of them were on their first day. There was no speed at all. Several people left without ordering because there was no progress... When it was finally my turn, the boy behind the counter thought it was a good idea to go help someone else.. I left as well. I suspect things will NOT get better there, so I really won't be coming back and I can also advise everyone to drive on!!!!!

It would be nice if you were open for once! I am curious about the so-called best "meatball" in the region....every time I drive past you are closed...nothing has changed in years...always closed! Very bad ..supposed to be renovated, open more often, lots of blah blah and always closed!

It took a long time for our food to arrive, the tables weren't clean, and the food was pricey for what you get. The meat was super overcooked and really not tasty. Outside, the sign says that with the shawarma fries you get 1 sauce of your choice, so I ordered 1 sauce for the meat and some extra mayonnaise, for which you pay an extra 2.10; terribly expensive.

So dirty. I was inside having an ice cream with my grandson. There were no customers. All the tables were dirty. The floor was so dirty it couldn't have been from half a day. There were still empty cups on two tables. The staff were chatting together. It looked terrible!

Wow, what a cozy place, and what a delicious meal we had! We had a super-sized portion of potato fries that we couldn't finish. The milkshake was also delicious. In short, we'll definitely be back.

I've now ordered and had something delivered three times. The first order had sauce all over the bag. The second order was fine. The third order was very frugal with the shawarma and the meat was burnt. I forgot my drinks. The fries are delicious.

You're always late with deliveries, the food is cold, and the order is incomplete. The excuse is always that it was suddenly busy and we forgot the order. We won't do that again.

We've had a lot of experiences with De Pieper in recent years. Cold fries, no delivery at all, incomplete orders, flat food delivered an hour after the scheduled time, and a container with money in it for missing the snack we ordered. Almost a year after our last order, we were lazy and ordered again. And you guessed it: an incomplete order, cold fries, and a strange taste (old grease). Delivery was in the correct order slot, and the delivery person was friendly. So, we ended up picking it up in Annen.

Unfortunately, I won't be back. The bag of fries immediately smelled of old frying oil, and the fries were absolutely awful, as were the raspatat. After three bites, I threw everything away. The ham wasn't good either; it was bacon, of all things. No greens with it, so fries, ham, bacon, and sauce cost €11.50. Unbelievable. This certainly wasn't the first time, but it certainly wasn't the last.

Since the new owner, this place has been practically closed down. Only young staff. They talk and bicker very loudly, and that blonde, hopping girl who orders everyone around is such an annoying woman. We'll never come here again. Stupid owner who's ruining such a thriving business.

The food is delicious and the atmosphere is great. My family and I order from Juillie every Friday, but there's never been a time we haven't had to call to say something's been forgotten.

We ate here last Friday, and despite the previous reviews, it was a positive experience. The staff was friendly and the food was simply good.

Unfortunately, the quality at the Gieten junction has declined under the ownership of the new snack bar, De Pieper. The croquette is small and not juicy (no mustard). The Pieper hamburger is not a real meat burger but a pressed flour-separated meat burger with no flavor.

After years of being a customer here, it's finally over. Four out of five times, something is missing from the orders. The images on the menu are also completely out of sync. The salad was very soggy and soaked in oil and sauce. It's a shame, because the food used to be excellent.

Ordered snacks from Rotonde tonight, the wait was way too long, the communication was poor, I didn't get what I ordered, and it was almost cold when I got home. A missed opportunity, I won't be back.

Absolutely terrible since the new owner! And then they open another one in Gieten? Absolutely nothing was right when the four of us came to eat there. And then they forgot about us, just like the table next to us. They even left without finishing their plates. Only very young people were working there at the time; not an adult in sight. No wonder it's going bad. Especially during Zuidlaardermarkt week. We'll definitely never go back. When the Willemse family owned it, it was much better!

We were the first to arrive and there were no clean tables. After the tables were finally cleared, we wanted to order and saw that each menu was in five pieces. Two of the three received their food, and the third had to wait a lot longer. After the last order arrived, I saw that it was just leftover raspatat, so it wasn't tasty. Also, no one was given a knife and fork when serving the order, and there was no salt to be found. Worst store ever.

We've been coming here for years, but now we're very dissatisfied. It was Sunday afternoon during the Zuidlaarden market weekend. We placed the order for 4 p.m. It was for 6:30-7 p.m. The order screen displayed a message that it wouldn't arrive. We called and were told the store was closed. We went and found the order still hanging there. It was a complete mess. The young staff couldn't handle it. They said they were busy. After a long wait and asking questions, the order was finally ready. The delivery charge wasn't refunded. And the quality wasn't great. I first filed a complaint via email, but received no response. Hence the review.

It couldn't get any worse. I ordered on Sunday afternoon for delivery between 7:00 and 7:30 PM. Then, at 7:40 PM, I tried calling to ask about the delivery. I got an automated voice message saying the store was closed due to other events. I decided to get in the car anyway. It turned out the pager was open. The toddlers working the kitchen and cash register weren't impressed that I angrily inquired about my order. They all reacted very disinterestedly. Finally, at 8:15 PM, I turned off the pager and drove home. When I got home, it turned out (of course) that the order was still incorrect. Poor service, toddlers who have no idea what customer service and responsibility are. I'll definitely go across the street next time.

Why is there so much wrong with this snack bar? Orders are incomplete, deliveries are late, and staff stand around disinterestedly in the kitchen. Today takes the cake. We ordered online. It's a bit busier because of Zuidlaardermarkt week, so delivery times are taking a while. Perfect and understandable. The delivery time has already passed, and we still haven't received our food. When we call De Pieper, we get an automated voice message that they're closed. We decide to drive there ourselves, since we ordered €50 worth of food... De Pieper is open. The order hadn't come through. They shrugged their shoulders and, again, reacted disinterestedly. We did get a refund for the delivery charge, which is only fair, since we went there ourselves. And of course, the order was wrong again. What a surprise. The milkshakes are great. The raspatat (sweet potato) wasn't good. We ordered four Van Dobben croquettes. We received three and a goulash croquette. It's been a fixture in Zuidlaren for so many years, but things are so bad. I'll be going to La Verandah or de Pepermolen from now on.

It's truly sad what happened to this place; it was always a high-quality snack bar, and the service was always top-notch. It's a shame that in the middle of Zuidlaren, there's now a place that's completely out of business.

The order wasn't served correctly: it was wrong, and everything was brought to the table separately. Several people were also waiting for a long time. Some even waited an hour. This had never happened in the past, and we always had positive experiences.

Meanwhile, the woman with a ponytail was eating from the bag of fries she ordered. I've never experienced this before, but this was truly awful.

We were supposed to order food at 5:15 PM, but couldn't reach them by phone due to staff shortages. Ordered online for 6:00 PM, confirmed for pickup at 6:40 PM. We had to wait outside until the order was ready. When we got home, the bami noodles were still cold inside, but we couldn't reach them by phone. We drove there with the cold bami noodles, received new ones, but they had to wait outside for us. The weather wasn't good for us.

A tuna salad sandwich for €6.50 would at least have some lettuce or cucumber, but this is very little tuna salad. You ask for a can of drink, and then they grumpily ask if it's a bottle. Too bad!

No cutlery available. No glasses available, and the food wasn't good. We ordered at the same time, and one arrived much later. End of the line for us.

Bad business, yuck! You order two shawarma fries with the sauce on the side. You get cold chicken strips with burnt pieces of plastic mixed in. You ask for a new one, have to wait half an hour, and then you get blackened chicken strips with a thick layer of sauce. Ugh, very bad.

Lots of delicious Dutch products, from fries to Bamischif shaoama, and even ice cream. Tasty, and the ice cream is also highly recommended.

We used to have delicious ice cream and good fries, but now the service is disinterested and unhygienic. The fries still weren't ready fifteen minutes after delivery. The woman next to me had also been waiting an hour for her order. It's also very dirty and sticky, and they had turned off the work phone during opening hours.

A group of young children run the place. Orders are lost, orders are wrong, it's dirty, it's chaotic, and the food is cold. They do a better job across the street.

For the first time in a long time I just ate good fries. I haven't eaten really good fries for years but here I was positively surprised. With a tasty schnitzel and bacon.

State terrible young staff. Work unhygienic. Food was cold salad old and bad taste. Mail with complaint sent but email address is not in use.

Since we ordered here several times during the renovation of the house and were very satisfied, it is now a completely different story. The last 3 times that we ordered it was always a hit, food arrives late, chicken is dry, spareribs without taste, order not complete and as icing on the cake today the receipt of another customer with all ANW details and 06 number. In short, it is sad how fast this company has deteriorated.

Well after a long hot day I thought to have a nice meal with my wife, on arrival many plates and food on the tables outside, which can happen when it is busy. After an hour we got the wrong food after saying so they could make the right dish but inedible cold and no taste no apologies from the staff and they laughed about it. Dirty mess inside also on the floor. Only young people who have no know-how of simple dishes. We will not go there anymore.

Placed an order at 7:10 PM. Fries with stew, beef sandwich, frikadel and a milkshake. Waited more than half an hour on the terrace where we wanted to eat when our order arrived. Instead of fries with stew, we got dry chicken on fries. Waiting again for the right food. In the meantime, one of us could start eating. Beef sandwich. Really not tasty! Then came the fries with stew. Also not tasty. I understand that with this nice weather it is not easy to have to work in a warm kitchen, but at least make sure that you have someone take the orders who knows what stew is and how to write beef. We both left our food. Quite an expensive joke. We will not come back.

What a mess this has become! Previously ordered spareribs often, for 9 euros and fries on the side, always perfect. Now it has become a menu of 15 euros. You still get everything in separate containers and bags but it is worthless. Sparerib? You eat a kind of meat structure but there is no taste to it. Dry lump structure. Yuck! Straight into the container. Fries were delivered deep dark yellow without salt. Salad turned out to be without dressing. Asking 35 whole euros. Disappointment! Emailed their special complaints email address twice, apparently all incoming emails go straight into the trash there. No response. Our last time. 🤮

Just picked up an order for two. At our destination we went to eat. Chips were left in the fat for far too long. Croquette had run out and was lying next to it. Frikandel was like rubber. No more food from this shitty place for us here on the construction site.

However, when we got there they had not even started making our order. In the end we had to wait another hour before we got our order. Absolute madness, only young people and no good experienced employees. For the rest the food was nothing special, burgers were smaller than they looked. Was a kijzerbolletje with a ready-made hamburger on it. Tasted quite well but could have been better. Spareribs were very dry and had little to no seasoning. It is a snack bar but I expected better. Never again for us.

Again no interest, apologies, initiative whatsoever. I got two euros extra back because my friend said "we also want the soft drink back to compensate for this scene" and this was silently honored. Not because we were such annoying customers, up until now we had been friendly and patient, but because they are simply not interested and are not looking for a solution. It is a cafeteria and not a 5-star restaurant, I understand that, but this all made no sense. Employees walk onto the terrace, shout out wrong orders or call out disinterestedly "who ordered this" and expect customers to have an idea that it is about their order. Strange way of working, it is one of the few tasks you have, just listing the entire order. Maybe it is useful to make sure that your staff knows what their job entails, because no one in this cafeteria seems to have an idea of ​​customer friendliness, communication or their own tasks in general. Apparently they do not get any work instructions or structure here. The food is ok and the terrace is cozy and it is in a nice place, but I would not recommend going here for a meal.

Went here for dinner today. What a disaster. Tables were dirty, sticky and full of plates, the floors behind the counter were a really dirty mess on the floor. The toilets had not been cleaned in a while. That was quite a dirty game. The food was good ... Can't go wrong with much when it's hot. Staff .. not involved in the case at all. We weren't the only ones who thought it was a mess. We were among the other tables who thought the same way. That it was quite dirty. The pager has seen better days. I can't imagine as the owner of this business that this wouldn't hurt you if you read the reviews and don't do anything about it. Get the broom through and a bucket of soapy water. But judging by the other reviews, nothing will change anytime soon.

After yet another setback here, we decided not to go here again. All the tables, benches and even the windowsill were littered with crumbs. We came in first and there was no one there. So plenty of time. Then the schnitzel. The menu says +sandwich with the snacks. So a schnitzel sandwich, ordered separately with mayo. 'Oh, I have to see how I'm going to do this' Then comes the order. Bread, lettuce, tomato and a white sauce (dressing or something?). We return with this sandwich, oh sorry, this is the only way... but it could be changed. Strange answer, but whatever. Sandwiches are good, but when we try something else it is often a disappointment.
