By far the best fries in Waalwijk! The bami blocks are also incredibly high quality. The staff is always friendly, so if you're craving a fried snack, this is the place to be!

Simple, functional, and well-organized. A no-nonsense snack bar. Friendly and efficient service. The food was served on a tray with metal cutlery. Neat. The place looks clean and hygienic.

3 stars. Because sometimes a meeting is warmer than fries. We came in hungry—not just for snacks, but also for something a bit harder to order. My wife immediately headed for the display case, fascinated by a spring roll the size of her childhood memories. I lingered by the vending machine where a can of Coke still remembers the meaning of waiting. There he was. At a corner table by the window, a man with glasses that filter thoughts, not just sunlight. His cap rested on his head like a reminder of another world—monastic, yet worldly. He sat in a wheelchair, his posture straight, his gaze tilted. As if he harbored a secret, but not yours. “Nice aquarium,” I said. He nodded. “Movement without purpose is sometimes the most soothing thing there is.” His voice was calm, yet charged—like the screen of a phone you stare at just a little too long. What followed was no conversation. It was a game of chess without a board. He said things about nights, about insomnia as a protest against emptiness, about how the body sometimes chooses what the mind still refuses. “You sound like a good listener, Harm,” he said. I nodded. Because I had been listening. For years. At that moment, my wife called out from behind the display case: “Harm, would you like a bamischijf too, or are you stuck in your poetry panic again?” Jochem smiled. “I agree with her. But do stay put for a moment.” I stayed. We talked about respect, about distance that sometimes feels more intimate than touch. About how you sometimes recognize someone without ever having seen them before. His words remained like crumbs on the tabletop. Impossible to clean up without losing something. The fries were soggy. The satay sauce had the depth of a bathroom break. But I can't give this place less than three stars. Not because of the food, but because of what wasn't on the menu. I saw him again later in the mirror at the exit. Same look. Same silence. But this time I understood her better.

Tasty fries, but greasy if you have stomach problems I don't recommend them. Too bad all vegetarian options were sold out. The most friendly service really great! The service alone will keep you coming back.

Very good chip shop with delicious fresh fries. The snacks and fries sauce are also from the better segment. The price/quality ratio is good.

Some dry fries, the hamburger bun was ground offal. I have often had a tastier meal at a snack bar than here. What I had to pay was also on the high side. Quality/price ratio far too low, especially for a chip shop under the rivers.

I lived in Belgium for years. That doesn't make me an expert.....but I am used to something when it comes to tasty fries. As far as I'm concerned, Snackbar Wang can be considered one of the best. Delicious fresh fries. Nice and crispy. And a decent portion. The snacks really taste delicious. We drive 10Km to eat our fries at Wang's. The ambiance, however, is less successful. It is a bit less cozy than you would expect. The fruit machines (slot machines) don't really add to the atmosphere either. And they have a great appeal to certain types who live in the immediate area😉
