Snackbar Jan Oostrum in Nieuwmarkt/Lastage

Positive points - The person preparing the food was very friendly. Negative points - The products were expensive (€4 for a small bottle of juice...) even though everything seemed to be mass-produced (even the fries, which looked like they were from a factory when I was expecting homemade fries). Over €30 for 2 fries, two sausages, 5 mashed potato balls, and 2 juices (see photos...). A fast food place that's okay in a pinch, but nothing special.

Nice background music. I noticed the same thing as mokorooms, that he was bouncing quite hard to the music. Otherwise, good food.

We arrived late in the city and we were lucky to find this restaurant still open. Thanks to them, not only we didn’t starve but we ate so so good! The prices are reasonable, the staff is the nicest, plus there is enough space to sit. Thank you again :)

Quite overrated. The fries were very bland. The staff was unfriendly. There was a lot of shouting going on in the snack bar.

The half chicken was very good, and the chicken doner was also very good. The fries were tasty, not oily, and the color was perfect. One of the best and cheapest places we've found in the area.

Definitely the best fries we ever had in Amsterdam. Truly great, big portion, sauce on the side, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft inside. Even the last one. We thought halfway we will not finish it but they kept being better with next one 🤓 Michelin star for fries. 🍟⭐️⭐️⭐️ we will be back to try more! Super friendly staff!

More of a shop for a second look. Very nice service, delicious fries with chicken in satay (peanut) sauce. Price/performance great. Highly recommended!!!

Unfortunately it was the worst Shoarma Pita I have eaten. Greasy and at the same time dry and carelessly prepared. A sauce bottle that scares you. I shouldn't have eaten it, I didn't feel well afterwards. 2 stars for the sockets at the table and the cold cola. Others liked it better, but unfortunately I don't recommend it. On the contrary!

Prima snackbar al was de felatel wel wat karig belegd. De (kale) man achter de toonbank was wel supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. Toonde oprechte interesse in jou als klant. Prijzen zijn redelijk te noemen.

Пришли, сели, сытно и не дорого покушали и пустились в дальнейший осмотр этого удивительного города! Про цены: две порции картошки фри и два окорочка, на момент написания отзыва, нам обошлись аШ в 13 евро... Я считаю это суперцена!!! В альтернативных местах порция небольших размеров пиццы стоит 5 евро. Из напитков все безалкогольное. Из минусов: на тот момент закончилось 🍺... Жжжуть...

Kleine authentieke goede betaalbare oldskool snackbar, met zelfs nog n oude telefoon a/d muur waarop je collectie calloptie kunt bellen. Snacks zijn lekker & goed, niet duur. Toppertje, hier zouden er veel meer van mogen zijn.
