Four people are behind the counter. Two people are waiting at a table for their orders. I've been waiting for five minutes, but no one helps me; they don't even notice me. I tell them I've had enough, leave, and will never come back. I live in the old village myself, what a spectacle!

We've been coming to Den Helder for 40 years and it's a family tradition to eat there first thing when we arrive 👍

The frikandel was great, but the fries with special sauce were in the oil too long; I had a stomach ache that evening.

We wanted to eat at the snack bar. But dogs weren't allowed. So we left again because it was too cold to sit on the terrace.

Every year we come to Julianadorp, the first meal we've had is the hamburger menu. It's always been consistently good and delicious. The service is friendly.

We had the shashlik menu and were unfortunately disappointed. It was about 40 grams of indefinable, deep-fried meat on a skewer with tiny amounts of onions and peppers. It came with a dab of sauce. The salad came in a plastic bowl with no dressing, just a tiny bit of dressing on top. The taste was okay.

The best snack bar in Julianadorp/Den Helder. A wide selection at reasonable prices. Be sure to check the opening hours; weekday evenings are only open until 8:00 PM! What would a vacation in the Netherlands be without fries, frikandel, cheese soufflé, and bitterballen? Possible, but pointless. Highly recommended! We come regularly!

Just a snack, but delicious! The quality and price are right! Clean, tidy, everything is just right. When we arrive and before going inside, we eat first, and then during our vacations as well. We've been doing this for five years now...

A small snack bar with various small dishes. We had the special Frikandel with fries, which I wanted to try, and the Gypsy schnitzel with fries. The food wasn't that special, but the Frikandel was the best, with lots of plastic packaging and not very appealing...

Every time! Super delicious. Prices are reasonable too. 2 special fries and a special frikandel for €12. The staff is always friendly. The decor is a bit dated, but it has charm.

I've never experienced anything less friendly. Put off by this, we didn't order at all on our last visit. The employee apparently had more important things to do anyway. But not so good on previous visits either. In our opinion, half the chicken was definitely for the trash can. Fried so badly, it could only be thrown in the trash.

Classic Dutch snack bar. Basically a chip shop, but in restaurant style and with an ice cream parlor. There are all the local classics. Everything from the Frikandel to the burger was very tasty. The prices are reasonable and the service is friendly. You have to wait because the Kaden is very busy.

I can't say anything about the food, the order never came. You come in. No hello nothing. You stand at the counter (cash register directly in front of you) and both ladies continue their departure undeterred. You wait so they can finish...Well after 15 minutes we left, everyone behind us was pissed too. Locals came in and were served straight away. We and many others left and will definitely not come back.

Food was prepared quickly. The lady who served me wasn't exactly friendly. More annoyed. There wasn't that much going on at all. I took the food with me. The taste is really okay for the price. But mixed together very unlovingly. But completely sufficient for a snack.

We've been eating here on vacation for decades. The prices are still great and the food is freshly prepared and delicious. The service was very friendly to us, I can't understand the bad comments about this.

Just bad! Food, service, cleanliness.. Staff is outrageously unfriendly... I can only advise anyone not to stay here, we were here with three children who are normally happy with fries etc., not so here.. but it is more expensive... well, there's that catch

The entire meal comes from the freezer and is heated in the fat - it's amazing that even the shish kebab is defrosted in the microwave and then fried so we won't come by again

Just fried fast food. The owner speaks German well, but was overwhelmed because several guests came at the same time and she was alone, even in the kitchen

After a long journey we decided to eat on the terrace, it soon turned out to be self-service, I was not the only one finally my turn, I order a peanut snack and a spicy special snack and I get 2 snacks, I say that this is not good, I am snapped at that I did not order that, she wrote it down herself, I wonder if she knows what service is and how it is written, I leave and reluctantly eat my snack cut with a cardboard knife. the holiday feeling is gone immediately, fortunately the rest of the week the service is better elsewhere

Excellent snack for real Dutch specialties. Frikandel with special with onions, mayo and curry ketchup - TOP. We were there several times and the price was absolutely right.

The best snack bar for typical Dutch fast food. Great value for money. The service is super nice. You order and get a beeper when the food is ready. Frikandel special with fries and then a delicious ice cream, perfect when you come back from the sightseeing tour.

Takeaway!! Anyone who expects quality and star burgers is wrong here. But for a stop with snacks this is exactly the right shop :) Recommended :)

Snack bar with classic Dutch products. You can eat quite well.

On the advice of the owner of the campsite, we came to pick up food from this snack bar. There was enough space to store the bicycle, in addition to a simple play area for young children. We were helped very friendly in the snack bar. And we could choose from a very extensive range. The menu was delicious, the individual snacks were delicious and the fries were also delicious. And all that for a fair price. In other words: this snack bar is definitely recommended!

If you don't value quality or taste and have a lot of time, this is the right place for you.

This is not a bad snack bar in itself, the location is even special. Moreover, there is no good alternative in the area if you like fried food. In the past, a long time ago, I was a child at home, in the snack bar. The reason I am still alive now partly has to do with the firm decision I once made to take my cholesterol 'problem' seriously. People were 'falling down' left and right around me because of the same problem and then it is difficult to continue denying its existence. As a young person you are actually constantly living in 'reserve time', the time you think you still have before you are slowly forced to face reality. So you end up in the same snack bar with a cup of coffee in front of you on the truly wonderful, spacious terrace while you are amazed at 'the extra pounds' that you see walking in and out of the same establishment around you. Slim, sporty people cycle past without even blinking, it's a matter of; awareness, education, bias, stubbornness like my own? I can't put my finger on it. However, you can certainly put together a fairly healthy meal on the spot if you want. So that's why 3 stars, mainly because of the location and the terrace of course, but also a little because everyone bears their own responsibility for what exactly they want to 'shove' inside and what absolutely does not. That, that freedom of choice, is exactly what makes our society so pleasant. That's what I think. To overcome my initial resistance, that is... Keep working on yourself Niehland, I realize as I get up from my chair. That's important.

The No. 1 snack bar in the campsite and bungalow park area. Very friendly staff, everything tastes great, and the soft ice cream is always delicious! We'll be back every vacation!

A very special experience!! Ok, in general it is difficult to get good food in Holland, here we tried fast food and wanted burgers and fries. The fries were so-so, the burger was awesome. A limp bun, a cucumber, a deep-fried meatball and a joppie sauce... if you look on Google, you'll have the same expectations. I'll remember this burger forever, which is actually a shame... carelessly mashed together and not edible...
