One of the very few places where you can get a decent cup of cappuccino in early morning in city cenger

Combine a neat location, a cafe, great coffee, nice people, and a bike shop, what do you get? Spaak Koffie en Koers! Really enjoyed my brief visit, the chats, and the great cappuccino and croissant. Oftentimes people overheat the coffee or the milk, or they press too much coffee in the puck, resulting in an acidic, unpleasant taste. Not here. The cappuccino was perfect.

What a great experience and team. I called them in the morning with a problem with my Canyon Speedmax, sorted the problem and dumbed down problem and explained everything. Can recommend the guys enough, thanks again

Even had coffee outside. Tried different types. Was fine, not the best in town. Service was very friendly, folding chairs were hernia-worthy.

Top service - I have been continuously struggling with material problems for some time. This really worked against my schedule to finish an Iron Man. Spaak just had to replace the tubes on my bike (that also took some time, because they are quite unusual tires, and the re-ordered glue was already starting to take a firm form). In order to be able to complete my training schedule, one of the gentlemen lent me his beautiful Iconic so that I could still complete my training. This is truly a wonderful gesture, for which I am very grateful. Once again, thank you very much (By the way, my own bike now rides wonderfully on the FFWD rims with the tubes, great work!)

If you like sour coffee, this is the place for you, but unfortunately I prefer the bitter taste. Their carrot cake tastes pretty good but I can't really recommend the "Blondie" as it just tastes like raw dough with icing. Service was very nice :)

Probably a nice thing, so I thought I would be nice and asked them if they were interested in some change. And the answer was yes, please count it out, so I counted out a bunch of small change and when I was done I said I had 100 euros of change for them, said oh you want to change it?! I thought you wanted to give it away. she says to him, colleague, I tell you? Just go and see if you can change something and he looked in the cash register and didn't want to change a cent. I'm sure they'll have nice coffee, they're probably good at repairing bicycles, but it seems difficult to think a little and think along.

The guys from Spaak did their utmost to solve a special problem with my Veloretti bike. Although the part was difficult to obtain, they thought outside the box and I was back on the road within a few days. Thanks guys! PS: the blondies are delicious!

They should stick to making coffee and cakes. The bike shop has butchered my partners bike twice already. Parts lost and not replaced. Poorly serviced breaks. Off-brand parts to replace high-end ones. Long wait for simple parts and repairs. Real poor attention to details.

Can't say anything about the food as I didn't have any, but I got some good help with my fat bike to get a track and trace in it from Tracefy. Friendly and smooth service.

Needed an emergency repair due to a broken gear cable in the handle. Yes, come on, I can just stop by. A cup of coffee while I wait and 30 minutes later I could continue. Well organised🙏

My saddle was loose and I went in to have it fixed, the man behind the bar came out straight away to fix it, the bike was fixed again within a minute. Very nice staff, fast service.

The most flexible bicycle shop in Groningen. Being able to use one of the test gravel bikes for a long test ride across the Veluwe without any hassle and with great pleasure. Thank you Spak!

Whenever I'm in Groningen I have to stop by here for a delicious cup of coffee, with the occasional delicious homemade piece of cheesecake. Relaxed atmosphere.

Update June 2024 Still a wonderful atmosphere and an excellent stopping place for cyclists and walkers. Still delicious cakes and decaf coffee. Kudos! My husband has his racing bike and MTB serviced here. Very expert bicycle makers. It is special that there is such a good bicycle shop in the center of Groningen. 2022: No decaf coffee. Very friendly people in the service who have promised to think about serving decaf after all.

Super service and nice mechanics! They helped me with a problem I had with my bike which they solved! Professional mechanics and kind too!

€50 pays to replace a regular inner tube, for a normal city bike. Was helped quickly but the prices are not commensurate. Unfortunately!

Below was my experience originally, After chatting to the shop they were helpful and fixed my issue. Still a bit annoying to have to go through the whole process twice but think I may have just ran into a spot of bad luck/timing. Had my bike serviced there. Pretty disappointed. Got it back and gears were indexed terribly and breaks were rubbing. Tubeless conversion seems to have been done right but the additional 45 euros for sealant and other stuff they don't mention before which would have been nice. Also was told I could collect at the end of day and ended up only being able to grab it two days later, which is okay but then don't say end of day in the first place. Don't think I will be going back...

Nice place, good cappuccino, and cheesecake was also nice and slightly sweet. The black coffee could be a little better. Tip: more seating and less shop (or more efficient)

Nice shop, friendly staff and it has everything you can expect from a bicycle shop where you can also get something to drink and eat.

Top in alle opzichten! Leuke plek om te zitten op fijne locatie in Groningen. Goede bediening gehad waarbij we werden verwend met heerlijke koffie en ontbijt. De uitbater nam zelfs even de tijd om te kletsen over onze fiets(avonturen). Kleine tip: het beschikbaar stellen van de croissant vanaf openingstijd.

Briljante, riante sandwiches met eveneens briljante service. Goede koffie. Vijf sterren.

Heerlijke cappuccino èn fantastische zelfgebakken taarten. Elke dag blijkbaar een verrassend aanbod van taarten en cakes. Gezellige en relaxte sfeer.

Fantastische zaak. Vriendelijke deskundige mensen. Er wordt goed gecommuniceerd. Ik heb mijn fiets er laten nakijken/afstellen na een slechte ervaring 'elders' en ben nu zeer tevreden. Mooi dat dit soort bedrijven bestaan! En dan kun je er ook nog terecht voor een hapje en een drankje. Top.

Perfect in every way. From good banana bread, delicious chai latte, to amazing staff. Their bike service is up to the bar one. They true my wheel perfectly, will come here for all my bike issues now! Went there again for fixing my front derailleur, they make it perfect, better than new! Awesome service!!! After many more visits, I can say they have the best sweets in town!
