Excellent authentic greek food. Cheap and plentiful. Will come back for sure. Highly recomended

This is a joke! Delivery time 30 minutes. After calling three times with someone who could not be understood, I waited more than an hour and a half with all kinds of bad excuses and apologies. Bad service. Ordered a second time, the same thing twice. Never again. Food was cold and limp. Even the dog left it.

Good bifteki! Was a bit of a long wait but maybe a bit busier than normal. Also nice that you can sit outside.

What a crap place, ordered here very often and it was always good, but this time worthless. The octopus was overcooked and tough, the stifado contained exactly 3 pieces of meat. And the sparta special was all the meat overcooked. I am really disappointed we got no fries, no salad, nothing with it and that while the prices are still high. What is also not normal is that in the telephone conversation the person consults with the chef and just calmly calls me idiota. Now my Greek is not great but this is crazy. Final score next time I will get compensation, no information about how they want to keep track of that or what it contains. But for now tough luck because the chef thought the food was good. Order here at your own risk people.

Very tasty food, affordable and always cozy

We reserved beforehand, which was definitely a good idea, as it got quite busy. We ordered the Leonidas schotel, and they accommodated the change for 3 people and substituting some meat with another. Really friendly owner and staff, and great food!

Delicious food. There was also live music. A bit too hard for my taste. You couldn't talk to each other normally. But that didn't matter to the rest. And as said. The food was delicious. Had Mixed Grill, that will be it again next time.

Have ordered from here many times and have always been satisfied, but in recent months it just hasn't tasted good anymore, you pay €60 for food, which is not worth a tenner. Food arrives everything already shaken together, tzaziki which cannot be called tzaziki. The food taste is no longer what it used to be. Portions also vary each time. From now on we will think about whether we still want to order here

If you value your money, don't order food here. Reasonable money spent on meals that would include RICE + FRENCH Fries. The rice was gone in 2 bites and if anyone can find the fries in the photo, just tell me. The salad was also inedible. This was once and never again, what a waste of money.

I honestly admit your food is really good. But how you treat me as a person for the second time. You walk into the business as a customer without any good evening. The response was immediate: we are already closed to someone who has already visited us. In all cases I was polite, but I wished you a nice evening or something. I don't know if it is because of my ethnic origin that you react very strangely. I have been to many eateries in The Hague, but how you treat customers like a piece of shit. During the first visit, an old man literally tried to put me on a chair in the corner of the store where all the coats were hanging. Top reception for the first time, thumbs up. So that the others couldn't see me standing there seemed to me to be the only reason. You don't treat people like that, hence this review.

Took a long time to deliver and the food was cold, a waste of 40 euros. I expected Greek rice with tomato sauce, unfortunately this was not the case.

Food itself good, but (much) too salty. Friendly service!! In terms of atmosphere, it is a bit of a bare restaurant.

Ate with 3 people. New owner, we understood. Ordered a dish for 3 people. Was flambéed at the table. Meat excellent, salad, fries and tzatziki on the side. Too bad the meat on the plate cooled down so quickly and became cold. Tip: maybe use a chafing dish. It's also a shame that no one checked to see if drinks were empty. Upselling can certainly be improved. Had to ask for drinks ourselves. Also after taking out the main course.....no dessert menu was offered. After half an hour I asked for it myself. Ordered 3 desserts. There were hairs in/on the cheese cake. So I just ate ice cream. So the plate is half back. No attention was paid to it when striking out. Asked for a bill and stated that there were hairs in the dessert. Nothing was done with it. Missed opportunity. Hope owner and staff will provide better hospitality.

Delicious food and reasonably priced

The food was very tasty. I enjoyed the nice atmosphere and the good service. Friendly servers. Was helped quickly. Worth repeating.

Paid €47.50, the ratio is not correct, for that amount of money you can expect something more and better. Meat could be on the grill a little longer, it was not raw on salad and rice also left much to be desired. I'll skip there next time.

Is there another cook? Different owner? What a huge disappointment compared to previous times. We had a dish that previously had a lot of gyros, but that was now minimal. The rice was wet, soggy and bland in taste. The salad was really not good anymore, it smelled sour! What a travesty, half of it went straight into the trash.

Super nice people. Feels like a family, great location, not too crowded. Food was delicious, plentiful and on the table quickly. Will go here more often!

Sto kalo... Going out to dinner with my wife. Nice clean place, attractively decorated and furnished. Were treated to ouzo (delicious) Food was delicious and tasty, lots of meat and large portions. Service was friendly and service oriented. Definitely recommended, worth repeating. Greek beer is a must-try. 💯💫

Went for a quick dinner. The waiter is really friendly and has a nice personality! It's always nice to start dinner with ouzo 🤣🇬🇷. I enjoyed my mixed fish platter, but wished that there was less fried items on the plate. My boyfriend really liked his mixed grill. The portions were huge. Didn't leave with hunger. Will try the desserts next time.

Gyros was not what I was used to. Dry and seemed reheated.

Been to this Greek restaurant for the first time! We had a delicious meal, clearly fresh products and tasty! The Baklava was amazing, the staff was very friendly, the person who served us was really running but kept working with a smile and enthusiasm! Very pleasant atmosphere! Thanks for a nice evening!

Heerlijk eten. Grote porties.. de tzatziki die als voorgerecht besteld was is wat milder dan die bij de schotel zat. Misschien toeval. Beide lekker

De kwaliteit van het eten is prima, zowel in het restaurant als bij thuisbezorgen/afhalen. In het weekend wel eens wat langer moeten wachten, omdat het restaurant populair is. We komen hier steeds terug. Een aanrader!

Wat een leuke verrassing. Ons "vaste" Grieks restaurant was gesloten, en daarmee Sparta een keer geprobeerd. Het eten was super lekker, bediening heel erg vriendelijk. Echt een plek om terug te komen.

Was lekker eten. Gewoon goed. Prima personeel dat interesse toonde. Taafel was goed en ruim, dicht bij het raam.

Vandaag bij dit Griekse restaurant Sparta ( voorheen de Oude Griek ) een online bestelling gedaan en alles verliep naar wens. Voldoende ingrediënten per gerecht bij onze bestelling en op goede temperatuur bezorgd. Slim verwarmde bakken voor de gerechten, zodat deze langer op temperatuur blijft. Overzichtelijke bestelprocedure van de webshop en een meer dan duidelijke communicatie via e-mail.
