Simply phenomenal food, I haven't had indian food this good in ages and I highly recommend it to everyone that even has a modicum of interest in quality dining. I was taken aback at how few people were eating here, even on a Saturday! This place deserves plenty of attention and appreciation. Thanks for the excellent meal.

Order at 8:03 PM. Would take max. 55 minutes. At 9:11 PM, it is indicated that the delivery person has just left for 3 minutes and that it would take a maximum of 15 minutes. 9:46 PM, order still hasn't arrived, business is closed so no one takes count. Just don't take orders if you're going to pull off this kind of shenanigans? Or cancel so someone can order somewhere else. Don't wait 2 hours for nothing. Real shame

I have booked them for my PhD reception (delivery order to UT) and Dinner at the restaurant. From the moment you step in, the warm ambiance and the tantalizing aroma of spices transport you straight to the heart of India, with pleasant music! Food: The menu is a delightful mix of traditional and contemporary dishes, with something for every palate. We started with the samosas, Hara Bhara Kebab which were perfectly crisp on the outside and filled with a flavorful potato and green pea mixture, served with mint and tamarind chutney. For the main course, my guests mentioned butter chicken was a standout, with its rich, creamy tomato-based sauce and tender, succulent chicken. Paired with fluffy, aromatic basmati rice and freshly baked garlic naan, it was simply divine. The vegetarian options were equally impressive. The paneer (cottage cheese) butter masala and mixed veg curry had just the right balance of spices, was hearty and comforting. Drinks and Dessert: The lassi and non-alcoholic drinks was refreshing, not overly sweet, and served as the perfect complement to the spices. For dessert, the gulab jamun—soft, syrup-soaked dumplings—were a heavenly way to end the meal. Service: The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring every aspect of our meal was flawless. It's now called 5ifty7even. We had a delicious meal on my 68 birthday. We were the first customers that evening, but it wasn't busy. That is certainly not the fault of the kitchen because it is very tasty.

Food was really good...great Indian taste.

I joined my local friends for my final night in Enschede. Had a lovely meal with really nothing to complain about. We had a few dietary requirements that were looked after and the food was delicious and fast. Easy to find location and very reasonably priced. Would most certainly go again.

The chicken kohlapuri was not spicy at all and the gravy was a bit bland , else the service was good and have a cozy sitting area.

I don't expect to find authentic dishes however their take on the dishes on their menu is slightly different (does not follow the description). The taste is okay, but I don't think I'll order from here again. Not worth the price too.

Disaster! Had dinner at Spice King an hour ago. The kitchen is just next to the tables so I could see what was going on. Seemed like everything was pre-cooked and stored in the freezer. It is only heated up when you order. Both of us were completely disappointed with the food. We could taste raw chilli powder in both the curries we ordered. Guess chilli powder was added when the curry was heated up since we asked for Indian-spice level. There were only 2 people working at the restaurant, so I do feel sorry for them, but I am currently having a stomach ache. Sorry for the bad review.

Restaurant in the center of Enschede with Indian cuisine. Service very nice, cares about the customer. we wanted sharp and the dishes were just like that! mega tasty and at good prices, I highly recommend!

we ordered food from this place. never again. I can't eat spicy food due to allergies, there were no spicy labels, so I chose the safe option of butter chicken. I couldn't eat even a bit. my boyfriend ordered another dish in which the chicken was nasty and apart from spicy there was no other taste.

Das essen ist sehr Lecker, Portionen sollte man nicht unterschätzen sie sind groß genug 😂 Das Naan ist ssseeehr gut 😍 Und die mitarbeiter sehr freundlich, hier ist zubeachten das man am besten etwas englisch kenntnisse hat.

Heerlijk gegeten hier vanavond. Zeer ruime porties, genoeg voor 2 dagen. De rest hebben we mee genomen voor thuis. Gevraagd voor een pittige curry en hij was lekker pittig. Goed prijs/kwaliteit verhouding, we komen zeker nog eens terug

Vanavond voor het eerst gegeten bij spice king india. Het eten was echt VERRUKKELIJK! Ik heb gekozen voor de Lamb Masala. Echt een dikke 10. Heel erg vriendelijk personeel wij voelde ons erg welkom. Wij komen ZEkER nog een keer weer.

Delicious and authentic Indian food, chef can tune the spicy level on demand. That's the best part. I recommend chicken Masada, kadai panner & kadai chicken. Lamb dishes are excellent too

The food is prepared in a very authentic way and is very tasty. We were served by a very friendly couple who even let us taste a new spicy sauce which they will introduce soon. Definitely visit this place. Kind regards, Chantal

Goed en lekker Indisch eten! En vriendelijk personeel.

Zeer teleurgesteld, aangebrand eten, waterige curry met weinig smaak, het beloofde naan brood nooit gezien en smakeloze rijst. Zeker geen aanrader.

We hadden hier gereserveerd vooraf aan het concert van Joe Satriani. We hadden enige twijfel omdat de voorgevel met zijn glazen ruiten veel strepen en vegen bevatte. Vooral met de zon erop. Uiteindelijk binnen ( we zijn dan nog de enige klanten) zitten we in een leuk restaurantje waar een Engelssprekende dame de scepter zwaait. We eten lam, kip en prawns in Curry met mooie flatbread en lekkere rijst. Eenvoudig maar erg lekker. Alcohol is hier niet te krijgen. Als tip zou ik zeggen lap de ramen, repareer de toiletrolhouder. Met zijn drieën zijn we met 90 euro klaar. Prima hoor.

We (4 people) went there for dinner, the food was reeeally good, tasty and was the perfect amount of spicy for an Indian Restaurant. Spiciness: You can sense the spicy but in a nice way, I could feel all the flavors of the indian spices. They have different levels of spiciness: Normal, Medium and Spicy. We asked for 2 Normal and 2 Medium ones, and was perfect, he (the owner) told us he made the "Normal" thinking in the European culture. I would say that Medium would be for someone that it's use to spicy, or at least like it having that taste. We didn't even worry asking about the "Spicy" one, we thought it might be a little obvious the answer. The owner gave us some yogurt too, so even if you find it a little spicy, you are able to balance the flavors. The yoghurt helps a lot to neutralize the spiciness, so it was a nice detail from him. The food: We order a Mix Starter for Entrance, it was made for 2 people, the texture and flavor was really nice. Was perfect for an entrance. And 4 different dishs, Panner Butter Masala, Chicken Masala, Malai Matar Methi, and something made with lentils, Dal tadka? I can't remember the name to be honest, but was really good. All of them were really tasty and was a big portion so we could share and taste all of them. The dishes came with 2 slides of the typical indian bread (Naan) and rise. We will definitely go again. Pd: To drink, the Mango lassi totally worth it.

Heerlijk Indiase gerechten gegeten. Prima sfeer. Vriendelijke mensen. Leuk contact met de kok, die Indiase muziek voor ons draaide en uitleg gaf bij de gerechten. Beetje geduld moet je hebben voordat het op tafel staat, maar het is het wachten waard. En er wordt geen alcohol geschonken...hebben we niet gemist.

Zeer smaakvol. Vriendelijke bediening. Curry en Naan brood wordt vers bereid. Drank in blikjes en geen alcoholische dranken te bestellen. Daarentegen een Fantastische Mango Lassie Shake.

Heerlijk diner voor 22 personen. Diverse gerechten waren prima van smaak. Zowel Vega als de vleesgerechten werden door onze gasten lekker gevonden. Alles op!!!

Waar we dachten een heerlijk hapje Indiaas te gaan eten was dit een ware teleurstelling. De lambsmasala was taai. De kipcurry was nog wel te doen. Dit mag nauwelijks de naam restaurant hebben. Voor afhaal en thuisbezorgd waarschijnlijk prima, maar om te eten? Nee ! uitstraling van een kantine. Ons tafeltje was niet schoon en de keuken zag er ook niet heel verzorgd uit. Mogelijk heb ik een te hoge standaard. Personeel is wel aardig. De prijs-kwaliteit was ook slecht.

Heerlijke curry's en voor-/bijgerechten! Zeer betaalbaar, ruime porties Eenmaal in het restaurant wezen eten, uitgebreide rijsttafel gehad, extra Biryani van het huis gekregen. Voor herhaling vatbaar Vaak afgehaald, favoriet afhaalplekje in Enschede!
