Seating was too cramped and service was grumpy. The food was decent.

The food was delicious, the atmosphere and service were also good. We shared the gym beforehand, which was delicious! I had a poke bowl with tuna for my main course, and my companion had sea bream and salmon. The fries and mayonnaise were very tasty. The price was also reasonable. All in all, I'll definitely be back.

We had dinner. Our starters were SURF + TURF + GYOZA–V, and our main courses were SPIJKERS BURGER and POKEBOWL TERIYAKI CHICKEN + TUNA (mixed). Dessert was LEMON CHEESECAKE + CREME BRULÈ. We also had a delicious Californian IPA from LAGUNITAS, recommended by the very friendly waitress. Absolutely fantastic atmosphere and great staff at Spijkers

I ate pork tenderloin with brie, bacon, and mushrooms here. It was good, but the chicken satay had less fat, but I could exchange it for a steak for the price of the chicken satay. I thought this was good, the service was good, all in all, the food and service were good.

The food was delicious. The wait was long. It took two hours for our main course to arrive. It was busier than they had anticipated. Kudos to the hard-working staff.

Leuke zaak, je kunt zowel buiten als binnen prima zitten. + Het eten was echt lekker, heerlijke proeverij vooraf en de Spareribs waren prima! - het duurde exact 2 uur voordat wij ons hoofdgerecht kregen. Wij zagen echt wel hoe hard het personeel werkte, kudos daarvoor, maar de drukte die ze op due avond hadden, was duidelijk niet verwacht. Leuk uitje als je ruim de tijd hebt.

We were here for drinks and a snack. The service was very good and fast, and the "spijkerplank" (spiked plank) was good and tasty. I only chose some Serrano/Parma ham as cold cuts.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff. We were shown to our table, and the food arrived quite quickly. The food was delicious. Only the tomato was a bit lacking in texture, but opinions differ. The atmosphere was really nice, and the staff came by every now and then to ask if everything was to our liking. Very polite, as they should be. I'll definitely be back for a delicious lunch often.

The food was fine, simply good value for the money. The service was terrible. We waited an hour for our starter, and when we asked about it, it turned out there was something going on in the kitchen. It would have been nice if we'd gotten an update or something along those lines. Waiting for drinks and taking orders also took a long time.

If you go to this restaurant once, you will not be helped at all. After fifteen minutes we had had enough and left, we will not come here again!!

Don't go to Spijkers! The chicken satay is made from chicken thighs, very fatty glassy/watery chicken, while chicken satay should be lean chicken fillet and the peanut sauce looked cloudy, probably had been reheated for a very long time or several times, was splattered over the chicken satay, should be served on the side. My friend and I didn't eat it. Told the owner, he thinks he buys kilos of the above chicken thighs per week and when I said: that he should honestly state on his menu that the chicken satay is made from chicken thighs, he completely ignored it. Told the above to a friend, who had been there on a day like this 2 weeks ago, his daughter had a diamond fillet, which was inedible, her father a steak, it was really inedible, so disgusting. Will never go there again, neither will we!

Eaten more often but now disappointed. A bit loveless Spijkerssandwich. Chunk of chicken fillet, lots of bacon and fried egg instead of boiled. Doesn't look like a sandwich with finesse. Mainly a greasy snack.

This review is based on a visit on Saturday 31 May around 12:00. We ordered flamkuchen, uitsmijter, chefs special meat and salmon sandwich. The food was delicious and what an extensive menu!!! Definitely recommended for lunch!! Waiting time was not long at all, at many restaurants it is really longer. Toilets were clean (super cute with a nail as a handle). Really recommended! Definitely for lunch!

Via social deal bonnen gekocht voor een lunch, we komen vaker bij Spijkers, maar dit was een leuke aanbieding, toen we gisteren wilden reserveren voor het weekend was er geen plek. Op een drietal data na in juni was alles grijs. Ik belde Spijkers, maar zij zeiden mij dat ze een beperkt aantal plaatsen hadden en nauwelijks in het weekend en dat deze snel vol waren en dat ik me maar moest vervoegen bij de klantenservice van Social Deal. Zij hadden het druk genoeg, zei het meisje. Ik vraag me dan werkelijk af waarom ze meedoen. Het voelt als een lekkerbekje dat niet geconsumeerd kan worden.

Delicious food and great service

It was another good day. Delicious goat cheese salad and also carpaccio and pokebowl chicken at the table and all tasty.

Mijn moeder, mijn zus en ik hebben hier geluncht na een autorit van 2 uur. Mijn moeder wilde haar cappuccino bij het eten en wij hadden beiden gember munt thee die eerder geserveerd werd. Mijn moeder had broodje balie maar de kip, champignons en uien dreven in de sojasaus, ze vond het maar zozo. Wij hadden broodje Spijkers vis met tonijn, zalm, gekookt ei ed. Het werd op getoast brood geserveerd wat best wel hard was, het gekookte ei ontbrak en de zalm was karig aanwezig. Broodjes gingen terug ná melding ervan en ná ca 15 minuten kregen we de broodjes terug met een gebakken ei, want een gekookt ei duurde nog 10 minuten langer. De gekookte eieren met knoflooksaus kregen we alsnog toen we de sandwich op hadden. Al met al slecht gegeten, ongezellig en wij komen hier niet meer terug. Bediening was vriendelijk en attent. Ze kwam steeds vragen of alles naar wens was.

Ate here last night with my girlfriend, we had to wait a while but the food was really excellent. Highly recommended for spare ribs lovers, in my opinion the tastiest spare ribs! Plenty of other choices of course.

We ordered an Asian chicken burger. It was a chicken burger, but why Asian? None of that. The promised avocado was also missing. 19,- for nothing. Really bad. Reported to the staff. Nothing done about it. Missed opportunity.

And once again, unfortunately, a mockery! It's not helpful that we thought it would be better this time. Once again arrogance at its finest! So a disappointment..... We also had dinner here in December because we had to be in Heiloo in the evening. (We used to like coming here, but then there were different and better staff and there was a very pleasant atmosphere). This was also a disappointment in December, the Satay was always delicious here, but now it's a mockery. And little for expensive money! And it seemed as if it had just been tasted up! So now I ate here again, but unfortunately I found that I will definitely not be coming back again. We should have already thought about it after December. Too bad the staff doesn't know the HCCP rules! (owner probably not either, certainly see things there that are not catering related. That is certainly a reason for me not to come back again...and if people say something about it, they also make fun of you. Too bad, Spijkers used to be so nice and cozy and had super nice staff. That's all hard to find now! And the fact that it is not addressed in reviews says enough...even a lot of staff turnover!

We were here because we had received a Wonderbox voucher. We were warmly welcomed and had a table by the window. We got a nice tower with various items. It was delicious and more than enough. The service was friendly and correct. It was a great way to get to know Spijkers Heiloo. It is recommended to have lunch here.

Always delicious food (Tip: The Spareribs!!😋). Friendly staff and cozy. I would have liked to come there more often, but if you want something to drink with it, I will deduct the 1 star: The prices of the drinks are really not that expensive anymore. Shame. It still ruins the experience because you order fewer drinks, leave earlier, and go less often.

Had to wait more than an hour (1 hour and 15 minutes) for the order. Way too long. While I asked 3 times in advance how long would it take? They said max half an hour, not very long. Taste of the food was mediocre. Taste of Diamanthaas and Flat Iron was the same. I would definitely not recommend it. Brownie ice cream was tasty at the end.

I really enjoyed the food and service at this restaurant. The staff was attentive, and I even got asked if I was enjoying my meal—something that doesn’t happen in many places! One small area for improvement would be communication. For example, letting customers know if fries are on the way or if a specific drink (like Cola Zero) is unavailable and being substituted with something else (like Pepsi Max). Over-communicating is always better than leaving customers guessing. Overall, a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend this place!

There was a nasty smell in the restaurant, I ordered chef's special fish, a huge loaf of bread with 2 super small shrimp croquettes. I'm not coming back here.

Had lunch on Sunday. It was very busy but the young staff were not well coordinated and very busy with each other and friends at a table; As a result, our lunch waited for fifteen minutes on the desk in the kitchen, and we had to point it out to a staff member ourselves. Waiting time, half an hour in total, is too long. Lunch was fine again (we are fairly regular guests, always good experiences). Advice: please appoint a strict adult manager.

It took a very long time to get our food, it was decent.

Wij zijn geruime tijd vaste klant bij Spijkers geweest, maar zijn nu op zoek naar een andere stek. Gaat niet goed. Wijntje? 20 minuten wachten, twee hamburgers? Drie kwartier. Personeel heeft duidelijk meer begeleiding nodig, er gaat veel fout. Voor een bomvol terras (2x) uitgebreid met vrienden gaan kletsen helpt ook niet echt en is irritant als je al zo lang wacht….. Na een opmerking van ons over de gang van zaken kregen we 20% korting. Best aardig, maar we hadden veel liever goed bediend en ontspannen gegeten. Dìt gaan we niet meer doen, temeer dat we dit al eerder meegemaakt hebben.

Cozy restaurant and delicious food

We kwamen om 16:15. Maar we konden nog niets bestellen om te eten, want ze waren zelf aan het eten. We kregen alvast wel de diner kaart die vanaf 17:00 in gaat. Oké, dan nemen we eerst iets te eten. Uiteindelijk kregen we ons eten om 17:30. Een droog stuk vlees en een smakeloos stukje vis. De patat was zompig en de groentes slap. Vreselijk wat een vies eten. Nooit meer voor ons. De bediening was wel goed.

We had tarte flambée and sandwiches and the kids had toasties. Everything is VERY tasty and sumptuous! An absolute recommendation!

Great restaurant with a varied menu. Something for every taste. A reservation is recommended. The food is plentiful and very tasty. The service is attentive and courteous. It was a pleasure!

Cozy tent and good food. Too bad the waitress was more concerned with her friends than with the other guests. Orders arrived incorrectly or were forgotten. When we confronted her about this, she tried to shift the blame to others.

My recent visit was a mixed experience. The service from the staff was excellent; they were extremely friendly and attentive. The staff definitely deserves a compliment for their professionalism and hospitality. However, the waiting time between the appetizer and the main course was disappointing. It took no less than an hour for the main course to be served. This long wait was really frustrating and negatively affected the overall dining experience. In summary, although the staff were fantastic, something really needs to be done about the speed of service. An improvement in kitchen logistics could make a big difference and significantly improve the experience.

Helaas ,de soep Thom Ka Kai te zout en lauw. Zonder stukjes kipfilet, wel sliertjes gesneden broodbeleg kipfilet. Ik schrijf nooit slechte recensies, maar mijn lippen zijn wrang van het zout. Alsof ik lang in zee heb gezwommen. Voel me ook licht misselijk De bediening was wel heel fijn. Die kon er ook niks aan doen Maar 9,- is echt weggegooid geld. Niet meer hier Thaise soep nemen. Misschien een keertje hun Oma's appeltaart proberen...

Het duurde erg lang voordat we ons eten kregen. Daarbij was het eten vlak, zat niet veel smaak aan. Niet voor herhaling vatbaar!

Prima gegeten. Lekkere kipsate. Aardige bediening. Dame achter de bar is top! Ga er zeker nog eens heen. Prima lokatie en ook een leuk buitenterras.

Spijkers is now part of the established order in the horaca in Heiloo. Clear menu, good quality and pleasant atmosphere. Moreover, professional service. Update February 2024: still excellent quality and excellent operation.

The atmosphere of this restaurant is good, nice decoration, music not too loud. Very nice. However, we found the service to be rather mediocre. The lady at the counter was busy chatting with acquaintances and the young man who worked at the counter paid little attention to us. Not making eye contact makes it very difficult as a customer to ask for another drink or the bill. Also, after clearing the table, we were not asked politely whether we had enjoyed it. That was a shame because unfortunately it wasn't tasty. The starter was very tasty, the prawns and the Tom kha kai soup were enjoyed with great pleasure. However, we were very disappointed with the main courses. We ordered the burger medium, but unfortunately it was not medium and it had a strange taste that we could not place. That may be a matter of preference. The roti with Vega chicken was the biggest downer. The roti pancakes were so hard and chewy that they were impossible to roll. It broke apart and was very tough to eat. A really shame. The entire meal felt like a microwave meal. Too bad because the restaurant itself looks really nice. To end on a positive note, I would like to say; the fries were delicious.

Drinks and bites done Great place!

Friendly welcome, attentive service. Well sorted map. Order was taken quickly. Drinks came promptly. Delicious appetizers were also served afterwards. A short break and the main course was on the table. Deliciously prepared and served with love. We had enough to eat - so dessert had to be skipped. A perfect evening. If we are back in the area Spijkers will be scheduled again.

High tea was verschrikkelijk slecht, duurde veel te lang voor de hapjes kwamen en we kregen 2 kannen heet water waarvan 1 lek was en dan moesten we de zakjes ook nog delen omdat ze op waren.

Heerlijke informele sfeer en zeer vlotte- en jonge uiterst vriendelijke bediening! We gaan hier zeker nog eens terugkomen vanuit Apeldoorn.

Met mijn moeder op terras gezeten en thee en ‘Oma’s appelgebak’ besteld. Dit bleek een kleffe soort van veredelde appelrondo te zijn. De Slagroom moest apart betaald (0,70 cent), wat op zich niet vreemd is, maar helaas bleek dit de meest goedkope en luchtigste spuitslagroom te zijn. Dit was dus een tegenvaller en niet echt een visitekaartje. Het nodigt in ieder geval niet uit hier weer terug te komen.

Erg gezellige sfeer. Zaten er voor afscheid van collega, snack en drankjes keurig verzorgd.

Heerlijk eten en vooral rust tussen de gangen door wat betreft de bediening. Het hoeft van mij niet zo snel met een nieuwe gang of drankje, zo kan ik echt genieten. Dat is natuurlijk persoonlijk, maar ik vind t heel prettig en kom zeker terug!

15 september jl heeft mijn moeder van 91 jaar bij jullie gegeten.Later zou zij worden opgehaald door de regio taxi ,doch deze hebben verzuimd.De opvang door het personeel van spijkers was voor haar hartverwarmend,bedankt Spijkers, zonder jullie hulp zat ze waarschijnlijk nog op het Raadhuisplein te wachten op de regio taxi die nooit kwam.

We hadden chili 2.0 volgens de serveerster. Niet lekker. De chili was niet te zien, paar boontjes op rood vlees. Taaie kogelbiefstuk. En verder wortels en broccoli en kleine gekookte aardappels op een bietenpuree of zoiets 🙄. De patat waren hele kleine ministukjes. Waarschijnlijk de restjes patat die nog over waren en helemaal door gefrituurd. Dit verdient niet de hoofdprijs. Hier zien ze ons helaas niet meer terug. Maar ze zullen nog genoeg klanten hebben die het vast heerlijk vinden😁
