Sportcafe De Sypel in Wijk 00

It's a shame that Google Maps shows the pavilion opening at noon today (September 26th) and the restaurant turns out to be closed. I walked all the way here for nothing, hoping for a rest stop during a long walk.

Ordered a burger from them via Burgerkitchen. Had to wait 1.5 hours; the bun was burnt, the burger dry, cooked for far too long, and delivered cold. The pizza was also delivered with the toppings on the top of the box.

The pizza is crap, the dough is store-bought, the toppings are too small, and there are only 2 pieces of sausage cut in half for the whole pizza.

Unfortunately, I didn't read other people's reviews beforehand. We had to wait almost an hour and a half for a few pizzas. They tasted okay, but were very thin. A group next to us had ordered later and received their pizzas earlier. We had to ask twice why it was taking so long. The answer: it was a bit of a chaos in the kitchen. Heating up a snack for our toddler grandson also took a very long time. The restaurant itself didn't have a microwave; it had to be heated up at the restaurant next door. When paying, we had to wait for another long time. Everything went wrong here too.

A cozy cafe with friendly and welcoming staff. The lunch was delicious; we thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great. The music was pleasant but not distracting. We could chat comfortably and hear each other. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
