STACH in Centrum

The staff was unnecessarily rude, which was very disappointing. A little friendliness goes a long way, especially in a place where families with children are constantly coming and going. I strongly recommend better training for the staff in customer service and basic decency. There's absolutely nothing to lose by treating people with respect—especially when babies and young children are present.

Ordered coffee for myself and soft serve ice cream with ice cream dip for my daughter. Paid immediately. When delivered to the patio, coffee was delivered, but the ice cream machine turned out to be broken? We were fobbed off with a rocket. A complete waste of time; avoid this place if you're on the forum.

Well, a coffee lounge-style restaurant with bored staff. Ordering at the counter isn't possible, but you then have to wait an extra-long time until a disinterested server deigns to come to your table. They offer industrially produced cakes with a Nutri-Score of 4. The order took far too long to arrive and was delivered in batches. In summary: Starbucks atmosphere and corresponding prices, but unmotivated staff! You really don't need to put yourself through that a second time...

Service, personeel en koffie waren uitstekend. Het eten was goed op smaak en werd snel geholpen. Kom er graag nog eens terug!

Bad service several times. A glazed look from the waitress who comes back with half of the order after placing the order (a few drinks). After 10 minutes of asking where the other half is, she goes into the kitchen anyway and says that this is no longer available. The prices are also not really something to be happy about.

Unfortunately, this is the second time our order was forgotten. A month ago it took 45 minutes before we heard anything; today the employee didn't even remember that we had ordered. The location and concept are nice, but the service leaves much to be desired. Hopefully this is still being worked on — there is definitely room for improvement.

I go there on a regular base when I study in the Forum and really enjoy it every time. The coffee and the pastries are great, the people are always very kind and they even have 0.5ml Club Mate! 🤩

When you sit on their outside terrace 5 mins before they are opening, they will send you away! "We're closed untill ten." Lousy service, that is. Will not go here again. They missed out on a big breakfast order of tea, sandwich, cake...maybe another up of tea... Well, Stach, you lost a customer.

I’ve been here three times and every time disappointed by the service. They’re slow, lazy and rude. The food and drinks were not good either. Came here because my kid loves to go to the Wonderland. Three times still found no charm! Hoped for the better experience but maybe i have to accept that they can’t do better. After reading the reviews, seems that I’m not the only one on this.

Service is very slow and while ordering they make assumptions without really listening. Serving 2x hot chocolate took almost half an hour. And the quality of the chocolate was disappointing. We also noticed that a waitress wearing the same gloves was putting sandwiches on sandwiches and touching all kinds of other items (including menus and her hairstyle), which was not very hygienic.

Ordered Dirty Chai Latte for 5.5 euro (small size), taste was decent and the brewed coffee flavor still noticeable.

Agree with the post below. The service is very slow and more concerned with themselves and 'people they know' than with other customers. Shame. Food was also fine!

I have come here for years now, getting a coffee for not only before studying, but also in combination wiith a bot of reading. Throughout the years I have always been met with a kind service and a good price for the coffee. Edit: from 5 to 3 stars I came to find that the staff is pretty slow nowadays and could be more of service. Sometimes you have to wait more than 15 min. for a coffee to go, I'd rather let them redirect us to the coffeebar to go at the cinema upstairs instead.

Normalmente es bueno aquí, pero no hay servicio en absoluto! el café es bueno, pero pedimos pastel de manzana. "no señor, hemos tenido a mucha gente que ya no tenemos" bueno vale, en mi pensamiento, siempre hay tarta de manzana, porque tienen en stock en la nevera, de todos modos no hay problema. luego pedimos con el pan de café. misma respuesta, ya no tenemos. Y nada de ofrecer otra cosa. no vamos de nuevo! mala experiencia

Had coffee, it was good. Also wanted lunch, but this was only possible from 12:00.

Limited menu, no "normal lunch". Only toast for the children. Fairly pricey.

Very nice place. Business meeting/drinks. Delicious snacks, both salty, savory and a brown fruit bowl. Delicious drinks, including Løwlander 0.0 beer. And all this with a fantastic view.

Tasty food but the portion was too small

Visit May 11 We had a lovely lunch here on the terrace with a friend. After reading the most recent reviews, we didn't necessarily expect this. On this sunny day the entire terrace was full. we ordered the Vegan chicken avocado and the spicy cheese sandwich, both were good and were delivered in no time. All the ladies in the service did their utmost to help everyone in the heat.

This could be a really nice place to eat and drink. The menu is full of goodies but the service is slow. Not because it is busy but because they are busy with themselves instead of the customers. Shame. However, the location is great.

There is nothing to criticize about the coffee and sandwiches, the staff is also friendly, but what a shame that you always have to wait so long here.

Only sit here if you have plenty of time. It's tasty but takes forever.

The staff is terrible, it's like you owe them something. Arrogant, slow, forgetting what you have ordered. Overpriced.

Consumptions are fine. You can sit quietly there - compared to the Camera café - and above all there can sometimes be families with small children. Beer is also a bit more expensive here than in Camera café.

Awful costumer service. Unkind staff, made my drink wrong and then also refused to accept they did.

Heel chaotische bediening. Altijd weer t zelfde.

Lekkere koffie. Bediening had wat sneller gemogen.

Lekker even zitten bij Stach. Informeel en gezellig. De koffie is prima, het appelgebak van goed kwaliteit en de bediening vriendelijk.

Wij zaten net 1 min aan een tafel een vriendin van mij had brood besteld + drinken. Andere vriendin kreeg een telefoontje. Komt een serveerster naar ons toe. Ze ziet dat het meisje oortjes in heeft en praat. Praat door haar heen en zegt 2x je mag hier niet zitten zonder eten of drinken te bestellen. Terwijl ze ziet dat zij aan het bellen is… ik begin tegen haar te praten van zie je niet dat ze aan het bellen is? Begint ze weer je mag hier niet zitten als je niks besteld. Sorry maar we zitten hier nog maar net. Totaal niet vriendelijk…. Slechte service!

Op de begane grond van het Groninger Forum is dit een prima gelegenheid voor koffie, thee en lunch

Tip, ga een klein stukje verderop zitten bij 't Feithhuis of een ander leuke terras in de Peperstraat. Prijzen hier zijn erg hoog, producten niet echt fantastisch en terras is niet heel handig gebouwd. Mijn Hooghoudt limonade was gewoon water. Het ligt aan de voet van het Forum wat een heel hoog gebouw is en door de weerspiegeling van de zon op dat stenen gebouw wordt het bloedheet op het terras en brand je weg. De tafeltjes zijn vervolgens ook van reflecterend materiaal waardoor je dubbel aanbakt :)

Heel prettige bedienig. Een jonge vrouw die er nog maar een aantal maanden werkt. Maar zo gastvrij 👌🏽 de appeltaart smaakte bijzonder goed en rijk gevuld met appel. De warme choco wat ook lekker

The food is overpriced and poor quality. Ordered lunch here and the sriracha sauce on the sandwiches really tasted bad. You can make a better sandwich for yourself at home

Het duurde heel lang en voor wat je krijgt is het heel duur

Dit is een lunchroom van dertien in een dozijn. Weinig mee mis maar ook niets bijzonders om te vermelden.

Great café, cosy place with plants and wooden environment. Delicious spicy chai latte (not too spicy) ! I advise!

Excellent, I love visiting the Forum.

Heerlijk vers meergranenbroodje met vega “pulled chicken”. Eten werd snel geleverd. Er is ook een winkel in het restaurant. Liggens is midden in het centrum op de begane grond bij het nieuwe Forum.

Lovely cafe at the base of the forum. The record is excellent, and there is plenty of seating. The cappuccino was good but not strong enough. But overall a good place to go.

In het restaurant aangekomen reviews nog even bekeken. Die vielen tegen. Toch maar bestelling gedaan. Cappucino en cortado waren prima. En ook de broodjes carpaccio en tonijnsalade waren goed. Kortom wij delen de negatieve reviews van de andere gasten niet. Prima geluncht en de bediening was ook vriendelijk!

Leuke, industriële en chille plek. Mooie entourage. Aardig personeel, maar ik had het idee dat ze nog wat moesten 'wennen', misschien waren er toevallig veel nieuwe personeelsleden? In elk geval lekker gegeten en gedronken.

Leuk tentje en over het algemeen prima eten/drinken. Maar het personeel is echt om te janken. Ongemotiveerd en onprofessioneel. Aangezien je hier wel de hoofdprijs betaald, uiteindelijk een dikke onvoldoende.

Prima café/restaurant, koffie is niet super en personeel doet soms moeilijk als je café als entree gebruikt

Leuke plek voor een lekkere lunch

Wij hebben hier ontbeten, mijn vriendin had de ontbijt deal, met een sapje, koffie naar keuze, een croissantje met jam en een gekookt eitje. Top deal voor de prijs die je er voor betaald. Koffie is overigens erg lekker. Zelf had ik een truffle meatball sandwich, en een aardbei sinaasappel sapje. Een leuk koffie tentje voor een goed begin van de dag.

Gezellig en hele lekkere nacho’s, duurde wel iets lang maar was het wachten waard.

Enorm trage bediening en niet bepaald wakker. Drie keer order moeten doorgeven voor ze begrepen wat het was (twee verschillende koffies. Is te doen zou je denken). Vervolgens staan wachten op de koffie (slecht en te duur om zo slecht te zijn!) en konden ondertussen kijken hoe het eten werd klaar gemaakt. Blij dat wij die broodjes niet kregen! De mannen die het klaarmaakten hadden hun mondkapjes op hun kin en raakten alles met hun blote handen aan. Kaasplakjes werden plat in de hand gelegd en dan dubbel gevouwen en op een broodje gepropt (waarom? Dat kan echt anders!) ook de tomaat en sla op een burger werden met alle tien de vingers aangeraakt — het is bijna knap. Daarna gaat diezelfde hand langs het gezicht om even te wrijven en dan weer lekker door met al het eten aanraken. Normaal al niet fris maar met Corona toch gewoon echt niet okay. Jarenlang bij Stach Amsterdam geweest, dat was altijd een feestje. Hier kom ik niet snel meer terug. (forum zelf trouwens wel enorme hit maar dat terzijde). Do better!

De wachttijden zijn lang, ook als het niet druk is. Personeel is traag en niet op elkaar ingespeeld. De koeling van de frisdranken is al meer dan 6 weken stuk ondanks de recente lockdowm. Geen aanrader.

Hadden een tostie die was ingesmeerd met boter/olie: was niet smakelijk. Ook de bediening was niet vriendelijk, lang wachten voordat je bediend werd.

Het industrieel ingerichte café is één van de pleisterplaatsen in Het Forum. Na een dwaaltocht door het architectonische hoogstandje kan je daar even uitblazen. Ontbijt/lunch en enkele fastfoodgerechten. Een lange leestafel nodigt uit. Dat geldt minder voor de tafels met aan weerszijde een oude tram(?)bank. Maar er zijn ook stoelen met meer zitcomfort.
