A lovely shop where you can watch the bread being made. The bread is delicious. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee and, of course, one of those delicious cookies.

Tip! Make sure the sausage rolls are available between 12:00 and 13:00.

My favourite bakery in the area! A must try for their amazing sourdough, from scratch created croissants (plain, with a sausage or almond), cakes (try the apple). Today I just had a “krentenbol”, still a bit warm, soft and very tasty dough with a hint of lemon, best krentenbol ever!

We did a two-day bread baking workshop at Joost. It was a great experience and shows you the beautiful craft. Joost teaches very passionately and gives the students a lot of personal attention. Very good croissants go here if you nearby, they make them self fresh everyday

All their breads are reallyy good, the staff are also friendly and welcoming, there are also some seats inside and outside with clean toilet too! We tried some of their pastries, too bad we havent truly enjoyed it. They are okay, but not special or best one we’ve had so far. Coffee was also okay. Definitely will go here to get the bread mostly! Hopefully they can improve the pastries and coffee 😀

Bread, the way bread should be! It's always a pleasure when we get sandwiches from Joost and his colleagues! When we receive people from outside Woerden, I always take them to Joost's shop to taste something - delicious! Also goes well with a tasty snack board. Glad they have been at the new larger location for a number of years now! Perfect addition to the Kruisstraat 😍

Tasty banana bread and croissants

One of the very best bakers I know. Everything is delicious, from the bread to the croissants and from the cinnamon rolls to the cheese sticks. The employees are also very nice. If I lived in Woerden I would come there every day!

This bakery is an absolute blessing. People work here who constantly want to make the best. The best croissants, the best and most versatile sourdough, and a beautiful baguette. I visit many bakeries in France, but this one remains my favorite. There is passion for products, for ingredients and for people. You can also drink coffee and have a chat there. I wish every village had such a baker! Never Leave Hearty Bread!

Delicious artisan bread, without all kinds of unhealthy and/or unwanted additives. Lots of choice and they also have delicious butter cake and brownies and the like. An asset to Woerden, definitely worth a try. New products are also regularly added to the range. Extra products every weekend.

I ask for a cheese bread and come home with a pepper/sambal bread!!! Too bad about this! I called the business and explained the problem, but the response was anything but. That I can get a baguette this afternoon or tomorrow afternoon instead of... Then I read on the site that the store won't open again until Wednesday and it's now Sunday, in short, I would just stand in front of a closed door to get a to pick up baguettes that I hadn't even ordered.

This city bakery sells delicious no-nonsense bread. The breads are relatively heavy, so you don't have to eat a lot of them to fill your belly. However, the breads are very tasty, and that invites you to eat a lot. This bakery does not sell/little pastries.

Normally I walk through the alleys, but now through the Kruisstraat and saw this bakery for the first time (shame). The smell of delicious bread greeted me and I looked at everything at my leisure, made a choice (difficult) and picked out something tasty with the help of the owner. Finally sourdough bread again, delicious!!!

Truly delicious bread! Honest bread without artificial additives. My favorites: the Nigella whole wheat, walnut-date bread, croissants, baguette, banana bread and (just discovered) the jalapeno cheese roll. Employees: great! Always friendly and helpful. I recommend Sturdy Bread to everyone

I often pass by but there is always a line outside. Now that I have eaten this bread I understand why. Delicious bread, baguette, bread with olives and herbs, super delicious. The ginger cake and banana bread are really delicious. And super nice employees.

Really delicious. Don't expect a typical Dutch baker here that you find in every village and city, who bakes casino white. This really is 100x better. Reminds me of good French bakers. I have tried several bakeries in the province of Utrecht, but this is by far the best.
