Great place for food and drinks, lovely atmosphere and option to sit outside on the terrace by the big clock tower.

We love coming here, for lunch and drinks, but also for the delicious coffee! Incredibly friendly staff and always a relaxed atmosphere. Generously filled plates and excellent quality. A small point of criticism: in the open kitchen today, there were 2 gentlemen who regularly touched their mouths and noses with their fingers and then proceeded to put the salmon and carpaccio on the sandwiches :-( not very hygienic.

Smoking is not allowed on the terrace here...

Relaxed place to have a drink or a nice breakfast (did both).

We went to Stadscafe today and it was great to see all the hard-working people there. What a great concept they've created with the Market. I had a cup of coffee, saw a few familiar faces, and enjoyed coffee at a respectful distance, and I felt a sense of freedom. I'll be back tomorrow. I'll do some more shopping.

It was nice for us being vegetarian (egg eaters). Homemade falafel burger was superb, slightly expensive but it was really nice. Egg Benedict with avacado was really nice. Me and my wife enjoyed it.

Lunch was good, generous portion. Interesting choices, not the average and often boring selection elsewhere. Quite busy for lunch on a Tuesday. Would be nice if they can figure out how to install adequate toilets on the ground floor for all. Maneuvering the narrow winding staircase up to the first floor toilets and then discovering the space is too small is a bit frustrating.

Had a delicious lunch and great service. Original lunch dishes. Just a sharper knife for the sandwiches would have been handy ;)

The waitstaff slams the coffee on your table and almost pushes you over when leaving. The coffee, otherwise, is mediocre!

We arrived for lunch but were not helped with finding a seat. After we found a table ourselves, no one came to us. After ten minutes, I called someone over myself to place our order. The employee seemed uninterested. The menu is very limited; our meal was retrieved from other tables before it reached us. Additionally, we received the portion of fries ten minutes after the rest of the food. The food itself was fine, but nothing special. Given the quality, I find the prices on the high side. For me, this is not a place I will return to.

As a former Karseboom enthusiast, it remains special to walk in here every time. And now, a very nice place to go. It is always lively; coziness greets you as soon as you step through the door. You might be unlucky and find there is no room, but keep trying; it is more than worth the effort.

The food was delicious, but the service was one of our best experiences in a long time. Friendly, pleasant, and fast. The food was ready quickly, and even though the lunch menu wasn't available after 3 p.m., we were able to order after 3 p.m., after consulting with the staff. We were therefore very satisfied!

Two days in a row for a beer on the way to the station. Although the focus is on food, it is also a great place for a drink and quite a few nice beers on the menu. Despite being slightly hip, it is also real and genuine; a beautiful place in a stunning location.

High prices for breakfast: €36.50 for 2 people. Perhaps Elite Café Amersfoort is a better name. The cheapest breakfast is 1 slice of toast with 1 egg for €13.50. The breakfast looked good, though the portions were small, but the taste was okay. Good service, plenty of staff. And there was even an old-fashioned newspaper to read. Very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, excellent food

Personally, I found it too noisy inside. The snacks were excellent, but it made it harder to talk with friends this way. Cocktails were a nice addition.

What a lovely lunch spot in a beautiful central location 😊 The staff was very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the service was fast, and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

We had a wonderful time there from 2:30 PM until almost midnight. I had to wait 20 minutes for my first drink, but after that, the service was excellent. The girl was lovely and took care of us. We had a pleasant evening and met some nice people, even from the neighborhood. I've been there a few times before, so that speaks volumes. The price of a beer is a bit high, but I think it's worth it, and I think other people on the terrace could do with a 50-cent reduction. Otherwise, we had a great evening. Thanks, Jasmine and Lara.

I arrived at the hotel at night after arriving from Japan, and arrived hungry at 10pm. I ended up at this restaurant. The luxurious appetizers filled my stomach and I was very satisfied. I had some requests for the temperature of the tea water, but the staff were very helpful and accommodating.

I am so pleased that I chose to go to Stadscafé in Amersfoort… it was the perfect experience. Set in the square with beautiful shady trees and alfresco dining … with the tall tower standing sentinel over everyone and emitting beautiful chimes and lovely songs. The staff were incredibly helpful, happy and friendly . My Eggs Benedict on avocado was delicious. as were the two Chai lattes. when I said to one of the waiters that I could quite happily live right there, he said well we have a bed upstairs . He then stopped and chatted for about five minutes. Everyone in Holland is friendly and happy. It is an amazing country.

Stadscafe Amersfoort is simply amazing. The carrot cake here is honestly the best I've ever had. The chicken wings are also very good and delicious with the onions. We had a lovely afternoon on this cozy terrace in a prime location with excellent service. We will definitely be back!

We were very well received for dinner with a group of six people, without a reservation. The dishes are quite good, with little personal touches that stand out. The atmosphere is cozy, but the service is efficient. A key quality is the kindness and professionalism of the team. Expect to pay around €30 per person, including a main course, dessert, and a drink.

One of the few places serving mussels (during July/August). After a very warm welcome, we enjoyed a delicious meal and definitely plan to try another dish at Stadscafé.

Don't go there for coffee if you expect to be served within 45 minutes. All the tables around us were served. Unfortunately, we were completely ignored. It's certainly not a welcoming establishment!

Pros: - It's beautifully situated. Cons: - The breakfast options are very limited. You're given a menu that's slightly larger than a Pokémon card, with limited (and expensive) dishes/snacks. Damn shameful. - I ordered a coffee, but the waiter forgot to add milk. A minor detail.

Food was good, only we had to wait much longer than we should have. We saw people who came much later than us, receive food. The receipts had not come through properly, but we did not receive any compensation. No second time for me.

Had lunch on a pleasant terrace. I had perfect eggs Benedict. Rarely on a menu but here top! With avocado and bacon and excellent brioche. My sister had bread with muhammara. Delicious brown sandwiches with a crispy crust. Muhammara with grilled aubergine on it. The Spanish white house wine. (Staff favourite) was also good and went well. Sister had something with lemon and mint. It looked beautiful. Still a limoncello spritz for dessert. Top!
