Starbucks in Wijk 11 Binnenstad

I'm not one for bad reviews, but what Starbucks thinks it can offer us at exorbitant prices is truly subpar. My daughter is a fan of the brand, so I was persuaded to go back (after very bad experiences in Rotterdam, Tilburg, and Utrecht... nothing I've written about...), but this is definitely the last time. Watery junk with sugar, bad coffee beans, and expensive and mediocre pastries. The young man behind the counter was generally nice and polite, but when dealing with a complaint, he spoke Spanish (on the phone) to a manager. Not very polite! After much insistence, we managed to speak to the manager himself (in English 🙄) and were offered compensation. After fifteen minutes of complaining and pleading! Surely there's an easier way. During those fifteen minutes, three customers walked out; understandable! A woman with a child, a woman with her mother, and a couple with two children (one in a stroller). A quick calculation: at least €50.00 in lost revenue and three customers visibly wondering what it was all about. All for handling one customer with a complaint, who ultimately gets sent packing with a hot chocolate. A free tip from us: apologize immediately, arrange a replacement product, and ask if everything is to your liking. That would have saved me a bad review. The three stars for service should really only be two, but my rule is that staff should never be the victim of a bad review. If I were to judge the company's operations in terms of service, there's only room for one star. And yes, I'm an oldie who happily frequented Starbucks in Seattle in the 1990s for the good coffee and the professional atmosphere, and yes, I understand that maintaining quality in a global organization is difficult, but Starbucks has drifted far from its original concept in thirty years. My apologies to all the cafes and coffee shops in Delft for the lost revenue: we'll be back and make it right. We'll be skipping Starbucks from now on.

I ordered coffee, and it already looked a bit closed. Only later did I realize they were closed. And they still helped me :)

Sockets dont work in any of the places. I asked the waitreds and told me that maybe in that place, and didnt work there. I guess they dont want clients to stay around with their computers.

Coffee quality: Good. Atmosphere mediocre, but that may have to do with the fact that it is located in the station. Service also friendly people, but little to no Dutch (but English and Italian 😅) and instead of opening at 9 am and everything ready, only ready at 9 am and only opening the door at almost a quarter past 9. Shame. Update December 18, 2024: Good coffee and hot chocolate, 1 person behind the counter and the place opens on time.

Absolutely disgusting. Coffee was basically water with milk in it. Do not recommend.

Opening times are incorrect. Open at 8:00 am, and yet at 9:00 am you are in front of a closed door.

Closed more often than open, opening hours are also not correct at all. You close at 3 o'clock.

I find it super annoying that it says it closes at 6 pm, but every time I pass the station it already closes at 5 pm. This has happened 3 times already when I come especially to drink Starbucks and you close earlier than allowed. This isn't possible, is it???? Very unprofessional! Otherwise, change the hours stated here on the internet because it is not correct! Today is 10/29/2024 5:09 PM. And you are closed? Isn't it closing at 6? Came all the way here for nothing! Completely done.

Was standing at the cashier for a couple of minutes, none of the two employees could take the order.

I visit Starbucks in Delft very often. The service in general is good but one of the workers, Spanish speaking is bad. Speaking on the telephone video calling while serving customers, is not a friendly service 😒. Not saying nothing just chatting away. The rest of the workers are very friendly just the one sorry.

Starbucks do NOT know how to make a decent cup of coffee.

It says online that they are open until 6:00 PM. When I arrive at 5:45 PM, the doors are closed, chairs are on the side and the floor is already being mopped. When I knock on the door I am ignored. It's a bit of a shame if, after a long day at work, you're looking forward to a nice cup of coffee (fortunately it's very good!) and you arrive on time to find a closed door. In the future, go to another branch because this is certainly not the first time this has happened. Pity.

The barista - Anjay(I believe it is his name, sorry if wrong), really nice guy. He made very good matcha latte which was actually very warm not like most of the times lukewarm. Mind you matcha powder in Starbucks is poor quality in general, the powder never dissolves and it’s very bitter. If you buy it, know what you are up to.

Just got a cappuccino at Starbucks Station Delft. A bit rushed because my train would leave in 4 minutes. (I know, 😈). But exactly achieved! Sorry for my impatience.

The barista that was this morning 13/11/23 at 7'30h is absolutely amazing 😍 (I think her name was Janet). They didn't have what I wanted and she prepared something similar and explained to me how to ask for it next time.

Altijd lekker en vriendelijke personeel. Ze proberen zelf je naam te onthouden.

Barely any glutenfree options, I could choose between a brownie. Even though, it was pretty yummy. The matcha latte wasn't exactly delicous, but in my opinion it could go through.

Was niet druk, maar het duurde _heel erg_ lang voordat de 2 personen hun bestelling hadden kunnen plaatsen. De bediening blijkt geen nederlands te spreken (engels). Op zich kan ik dat begrijpen, maar maakt het nog geen pluspunt. De eerste zitplaats rook naar kots (hoek). Qua geluid is het flinke afknapper. Er draait een alles overheersende koeling, en met slechts paar bezoekers klinkt het als enorm kippenhok. De achtergrond muziek was meestal niets van te horen. De frapucino (caramel) was gelukkig naar verwachting, maar de nieuwe aardbei was bepaald geen success. Er is geen uitzicht, ruimte is vrij klein. We werden zeker vriendelijk geholpen. Met name door extreem geluidsoverlast bepaald geen aanrader om even rustig te genieten. Advies ook ook om het eens grondig schoon te maken, zure kotslucht wordt je niet vrolijk van.

1 van de weinige starbucks vestigingen waar ze altijd vriendelijk zijn en waar je het drankje krijgt dat je hebt besteld zonder ellende en fouten. Gelukkig ook nooit erg druk

Went in to get a cup of black coffee. Expect the usual Starbucks quality. The service this time was slow.... rather unusual but this can happen anywhere...

J'ai pris un gingerbread latte, délicieux avec un pain au chocolat chauffé, ça m'a donné du baume au cœur. Je cherchais vers 9h du matin un salon de thé, un bar ou au moins un endroit où prendre un petit déjeuner avant un rendez-vous à la gare, c'est ce que j'ai trouvé de mieux.

Deze store is echt jammie, ik haal zo vaak een pumpkin Spice latte dam zo lekker. Als je in delft bent breng vooral een visite aan de Starbucks in de stationshal. En ze doen mee met no waste app #toogoodtogo #strarbucks

2e of 3e keer ever dat ik bij Starbucks kom. Maar moet gezegd worden: de koffie met extra smaakjes was goed binnen te houden 😉!

The best place to shop for any household item. You can find things which you haven't even heard of and even if you want to have buy something that's not conventional, you can find a thing closely relating to the original stuff. The sheer variety of products will get the job done. I bought cold white lights which are difficult to find here in the Netherlands. I would also recommend the bedding products, bags, kitchen supplies etc. Make sure to try Swedish meatballs after your billing is done.
